Having a gluten allergy can be very hard at times. I am very happy to see this restaurant takes my medical condition seriously and the manager himself took care in overseeing the preparation of my meal , making sure of no cross contamination. and personally walked it to my table. The service here is excellent, good portions, good pricing. Our server was outstanding and attentive. Couldn't have asked for a better meal. Tonight my mother wanted to treat the family to dinner, and we chose Olive Garden in Norman. It was a flash back of the grandest scale because my wife and I had our Rehearsal Dinner here the night before our wedding years ago. The staff was nice and the food was delicious all while allowing us to have a fantastic evening. I decided to try the Cheese Ravioli and my wife went with the Fettuccini Alfredo, while my mother tried the Lasagna. The entrees really were a hit, but the complementary salad and breadsticks almost stole the show. I have been a patron of Olive Garden over the years and enjoyed the numerous entrees. Recently I have been diagnosed as gluten intolerant, and chose Olive Garden last week remembering a gluten free spaghetti was offered in the past. I was disappointed to learn gluten free spaghetti was no longer offered, and the only GF pasta available was Rotini which I have never liked. Well, I was there... so went for it with marinara meat sauce. Oh my gosh. It was the most revolting thing perhaps I have ever been served in a restaurant! Not because of the Rotini, because of the hideous meat sauce. Clumps of almost rancid ground "something" and tasteless sauce. My server wanted to be accommodating however she knew the dish was disgusting and it was only after I left nearly $20 lighter it occurred to me, they could or should have comped my ticket. I went in for a lunch special and no GF offerings. This disgusting rotini dish was several dollars more and of course I could not have bread sticks (not GF) and the salad also was the most pitiful I've seen at Olive Garden. After processing all this upon leaving, it is apparent Olive Garden is not a fan of the needs of those diagnosed as gluten intolerant nor will they be considered as we enjoy other restaurants who are. read more

It was a good meal, but it wasn't the best meal. Our server was very attentive and made sure all our needs were met. But the food was just OK. My favorite thing was the panko and pesto topped zucchini strips as a side to my sirloin. Getting a steak was a mistake because OG isn't known for steaks and there are much, much better places to eat beef in the OKC metro. But, my diet. We had the oven Mac and cheese with lobster, kids meal, salad and soup and seafood linguini. Family enjoyed it all! My teen was so SO loving her blueberry lemonada. After months of and lack of chain restaurants where I live, three Alaskans headed to Olive Garden for the night. We only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. I got the lasagna fritta (with breadsticks and salad of course), one of us got the chicken parmesan, and the other the new chicken giardino pasta. I noticed the new meatball pizza wasn't on the menu, but I had asked about it. The two with the chicken dishes had leftovers for the next night. The chairs and floor under the table was so filthy that obviously small children are prior to my party. We should have left then. Wait staff acted put out when they waited on the table. Wait staff gathered in small groups in the empty section of the restaurant to socialize while tables next to that section went without drink refills and while dirty dishes PILED UP on guests tables. Signature dish of Chicken Parmesan was literally so hard from being under the warmer too long that no one could even get their fork TINES to pass through it POINT FIRST!!! Literally like a rock. Fettuccine noodles were either unevenly cooked (cooked and uncooked on the same noodle) OR the noodles were dried out from being "old". When we brought the hard chicken to the waiter's attention? The waiter said, "It's crispy chicken!" He continued to insist this the case even as we were pounding this hard rock of a piece of chicken into the plate (with our hands because no fork could pierce it!!). Of course, this is the same waiter who brought out the appetizer, soup and entrée within minutes of each other because he wanted us to leave before we even sat down to eat. While we began our entrée, this waiter brought the ticket and told us that the restaurant closed in 54 minutes but that we were welcome to "stay and relax but could we tab out first". He did not offer coffee or dessert or ask if we wanted anything more. If he could have shoved us out the door he would have. We go out to eat as a treat and to relax. We do not go out to be rushed, pushed, and to received substandard service and ridiculously poor quality food. Javier Hernandez has his name on the placard outside Olive Garden. Does he have any idea what his name is representing? With WONDERFUL Italian restaurants like Gabarino's which is ACROSS THE STREET and MANY, many other GREAT eateries located in Norman. This is Olive Garden! I know, I know, Im Captain Obvious! There is nothing special that deserves more than 3 stars and there is nothing bad that deserves less than 3 stars. The food was good, it was hot, and it was timely. However, the Sangria was fantastic. These were about as close to a craft drink as you can get from a chain restaurant. When walked in everything seemed great! The server was nice and everything. But when served our bread they only gave us 3 breadsticks no more, they also never brought us more when we asked. Also to top it all off there was hair in my food. The kitchen was so backed up I waited about 15 minutes for them to remake my food and finally I just got a take home entree instead. On top of this it took forever for our waitress to come back. I asked to take some bread home and they just gave us two sticks for two people... Im not a big fan of Olive Garden but my sister in law wanted to go so I figured I can try something different. We were greeted and seated right away. We ordered an appetizer with stuffed mushrooms and calamari which was delicious. The salad was really good and the breadsticks are a favorite. I ordered chicken primavera. It was a little bland for my taste and noodles tasted like they were overcooked. I think the appetizer and salad were the stars that night. It doesnt stop me from coming back though. Stellar! We came and celebrated our Valentine's day around 3 pm to beat the crowd that day. From our greeter to our host, Seth, were absolutely on point. Seth was an absolutely amazing host and fulfilled anything a patron could ask for and more. Our food was great and served in a very timely matter and he was very accommodating. To be honest, Seth and the Olive Garden staff gave my wife and I the best service we've probably had in the last 20 years. Quite frankly, we've gotten used to poor service and to waiters/waitresses who have poor attitudes or act "put out" over the years. That wasn't the case here-Seth and the Olive Garden blew us away with the tremendous customer service and great food! We can't wait to come back! read more

The service was extremely slow & food order was not correct. This happened twice in one month. I will not be returning.

My last experience was almost a year ago, which is about how long it takes me to forget why I don't go back to a bad restaurant. I went with my mother for a Sunday lunch. The waitress brought us dinner menus and left. When she returned, I asked for a cappuccino and lunch menus. She didn't know what a cappuccino was until I found it on the dessert menu. For $5.95, I expected a pretty good cappuccino! She returned with the lunch menus, then brought the cappuccino a few minutes later. Then I realized why it was on the dessert menu. It was covered in whip cream and cinnamon. There was no froth (I suppose the whip cream was supposed to be a froth substitute?). The coffee part was awful. Sort of like warm skim milk with a little coffee flavoring. When the waitress returned with the house salad. I sent the cappuccino back. The salad greens were fresh, but the dressing was salty (!?). We hardly touched it and just had the waitress take it away. I ordered Shrimp Primavera and my mother ordered Eggplant Parmesan. The Primavera was fine, but nothing special. The Eggplant came overly battered (I'm not sure there was any eggplant). Also fair. The memories of my previous couple of trips filtered back. I recalled a Tiramisu that had the consistency of a pound cake layered with frosting and a thick layer of cocoa powder, a salty chicken dish (I think they must douse everything in salt). And this is having eaten there over the period of 4-5 years. If you want something remotely more Italian, I'd recommend Pizza Hut. If you are in Norman, avoid at at cost, and start with Victoria's on Campus Corner. If you must stay on the west side, go to Carino's. read more

The wait staff as well as the management with a visit from the chef was a warm thank you to us saying thank you without having to say it. Thumbs up Olive Garden. Making a change that is noticeable. This is one of the worst Olive Garden locations. My family visited on a Saturday afternoon around 4:30pm. We had to leave before our order was even taken. We were greeted and seated promptly but at a table that had been wiped down but everything that had been wiped was on the seats. The hostess did not offer to clean the table or ask anyone to, so we cleaned it ourselves. We should have left at this point but we were wanting the salad and breadsticks. We were looking at the menu and waiting for our server and saw 2 different servers walk by and neither one acknowledged us or offered to take our drink order. There was only one other table occupied in our section. We were talking amongst ourselves when after 11 minutes a server approached (didn't get her name, she didn't give it) and with a sarcastic tone said "are you okay" where did this even come from. We had been waiting 11 minutes and were greeted by a server like this? She proceeds in the same sarcastic tone to say "what do you want to drink?" After this we decided to get up and leave. Hospitality/Customer service is key in this industry and if you have a server like this in the mix you are likely to lose more patrons. I suggest you get some training for this server which I believe her name was Ashley, again she did not give us her name but I did hear someone call her Ashley. Sadly this location has been rapidly going nowhere for years. If I ever feel like dining at Olive Garden again I will head to the location in Oklahoma City next to Penn Square Mall, clean and great service! read more

The food was pretty good for a decent price point. My girlfriend and I had an appetizer and each had an entree for $49. However the appetizer came out after the food, so we just got it to go for later and we got charged for a soft drink that we didn't consume. The waiter seemed a little overwhelmed but it was Friday evening I guess. We will be back but only because the food is pretty consistently good all locations we have been to. read more

The service and food during our visit was great. The issue is with the $5 take home meals. We have ordered the take home meals several times with no issues. We ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce. After warning up the food or children said it was very spicy. My wife and I tasted the did it was extemly spicy. After calling olive garden and speaking to Erin we were told that its not their fault, we could just be sensitive to the meat sauce. That respond is totally unacceptable.
