Love the #9 ! Always order the same with Fries. Onion rings really good too. Menu has other items - salads, Chicken, Sandwiches and dessert. Once you find your thing, most stick with it. Service is good at this location. A nice lady is always cleaning tables! Only negative is the ketchup bottle, which I'm guessing is refilled. Label is worn. I would just remove it. They have been having backdrops to take pictures. I saw at Christmas and now Easter. Cute idea. We also have reserved the separate room for special gatherings. Love that about this place! read more

The food is fine but seemed pretty expensive for what it is. The menu is pretty simple. I got just a regular grilled cheese and it cost a little over $5. I decided to try Johnnie's Charcoal Broiler, because I've seen several locations around Oklahoma City. I placed my order via drive-through, the person receiving my order made me repeat the order several times, the communication was not very good. I ordered a cheeseburger with bacon, onion rings and a fountain drink. The burger was very flavorful and quite large. I was not very impressed with the onion rings, they were fresh and large but lacked flavor. In my opinion, the meal was quite expensive for a fast food burger. I may try it again, because I did enjoy the burger but I would not get the onion rings, I would probably try the fries instead. I'm recommend if you order the burger, be very specific of what you order and be advised there's a charge for a lot of the toppings. read more

I had never been here before but I for sure won't be back. Their burgers tasted like a slice of meatloaf stuffed between two buns. The cheese is shredded and not even melted so it makes the burger lukewarm. Probably the worst part is that for two burgers, fries and two drinks it was $27. It tasted like something I'd get at a little league concession stand which would have been half the price. I'm honestly shocked this place is open and people actually eat here. The food is terrible. I ordered chicken fried steak (it's a frozen steak patty I can buy at Walmart). The baked potato was dry and I put butter and sour cream on it. Cheap food for expensive price. I used to love this place. I've always gone to the one on I-240 so I was so excited to have one on telephone road near my house but this one kinda sucks. I got dinner from here the other night. I've been to this one before and it wasn't as good as the other restaurant but I gave it a couple more tries. It's not awful but it's nowhere near the quality as the other one. The bun was very stale and hard because of it. Their onion rings redeem this location cause they're SO good! I went back and it was SO good! Management needs to limit the amount of cheese on their burgers and not serve it cold on the hamburger. Almost felt nauseous and gained 1lb in five minutes with all the cheese. Their pies however are excellent per slice. read more

We went Saturday 1/22/22, and this time it was awful and we will not eat their again. We wasted 36 dollars on cold uncooked hamburgers, greasy fries, way too much cheese on top of the cup of chili. My husband sent his burger back and the second one was just as bad. We got a new set of fries and they were much better. We have enjoyed eating there until yesterday. Usually a weekday. Looked like a new crew. No way will we return. How does anyone eat the tasteless onion rings? No salt or flavor on the batter. We drive 90 miles to go to Costco and lunch. Girl at the counter was extremely rude and acted like a spoiled 6-year-old after I asked if she could make my order to go. I thought I'd told her that when I ordered, but I apologized anyway for having to change the order for takeout ... basically putting a couple of items in a sack. She threw a fit and stomped off to the back where they had to bag up my items. She actually knocked a few items over on the counter. If she hates customer service so much she should quit and find a job as a night time janitor or some other job where she doesn't have to come face-to-face with other humans. I love Johnnies!!! Always have though. I'm a sucker for their hand-breaded onion rings all day long. I haven't ever had any i have liked more than them. My dad loves the theta. I am a #2 old fashioned burger with cheese and extra pickles girl. My kids love the hand it fries with ranch or the potato soup. The pies though...... chocolate cream! Yum!!! Johnies is a Oklahoma love. We went here as a kid after church and now I take my kids as often as possible at the location in Moore. The Caesar Burger was OK. Decent flavor but the lettuce seemed a bit wilted. The Theta was a bit better. We both preferred the fries over the onion rings. I prefer a different onion ring breading than just plain flour which was not covering the entire ring - too many bare onions spots. read more

I personally love Johnnie's #9 cheeseburger meal. However, I am giving Johnnie's 4 stars because they do have room for improvement. My boyfriend is vegetarian and he will never agree to come eat Johnnie's with me because of how poorly crafted their veggie burger is. It never seems to be fully cooked-through and the rice they use in the patty is usually hard and crunchy (not in a good way). I've tasted this veggie burger, as well, and agree that his negative review is warranted. If they were to switch out the crusty veggie patty and convert my bf into a johnnie's lover like myself, I would gladly be a frequent flyer. Until that day comes, I probably won't be able to eat here on a regular basis. read more

Disappointed to be honest. After driving by daily, I decided to try it today with my son. I had hopes that it would be awesome due to the menu and sign saying everything was cooked to order.... I was sadly disappointed. Burgers were under seasoned, and frankly overpriced. The bun on the kids burger was visibly stale, and the meat was exactly an 1/8 of an inch thick. The onion rings were crispy, but the breading didn't stick at all, and both the onions and the breading needed seasoning (as well as the burgers). The cheese on the burger was barely melted, with the center of it being still cool to the touch, and I live within two miles, so the time from resteraunt to my mouth was about 6 minutes, to include getting the kid out of the car. The staff were incredibly nice, and it seemed very very clean, which is a plus!! I did get the feeling the ingredients were of quality, they just didn't know how to use them, leading to a high price and no taste. Overall taste wise, this place is slightly better than McDonalds, but below Wendy's or Whataburger. When you factor in the cost... well, McDonalds even blows this out of the water. read more

BEWARE!! My wife and I were sitting waiting for or food when my wife obeserved a customer bring a sandwich that had a bite taken out of it to the counter and advise it was not cooked correctly. The "manager" took the food with and ungloved hand and threw it away and went back to preparing food. The "manager" did not wash his hand. When approached about it, nothing was done and we were told they had a "strick hand washing policy". We did not see anyone in the food prep area wash their hands. When we approached another "manager" we were treated like it was not an issue. We left without eating and would warn everyone to beware! read more
