Normally we like the food but today there were zero employees wearing a mask in a crowded space. Considering yesterday was Missouri's highest increase in covid -19 to date I find it very careless to have employees and customers alike not distanced and completely unprotected. There was zero hand washing after leaving the line and returning. We will no longer patronize after today's events. read more

I walked in to order a carry out. The gentleman that took my order was very kind. The young woman that was making my order on the other hand - as she made my sandwich, she leaned over to grab ingredients and as she did so, her hair and her hoodie string dipped into the sauce on the sandwich. She paid no mind to this at all, wrapped it up and continued to make more sandwiches. As I went to check out with her, she didn't remove the gloves she was wearing (that she made the food with) when she took my money and fished through the cash drawer to give me change. What's worse is then she went back to the oven to grab a piece of bread for my soup that I had ordered, with the same gloved hand. If this place is going to continue to be unsanitary, they probably shouldn't allow the customers to watch. Gloves come in boxes of more than one pair for a reason! read more

I wanted to get lunch for my family. After shopping for groceries next door, I took my list into Pickleman's. I was wearing a mask. I walked in the door, 4-5 employees there, none wearing masks. Preparing food with out a mask. Serving two customers, without masks. I turned around and left. "NO MASK, NO SERVICE", and "NO MASKS, NO BUSINESS". I know, some feel masks are their choice. So today was my first experience at a pickleman's gourmet cafe. I was looking forward to this. I viewed the website beforehand. I walked in and was promptly greeting by the employee's behind the counter. The service areas where built with woods and granite which gave it a little more sophisticated feel. The menu style appearance was similar to that of jimmy John's. this location appeared to be clean and well maintained. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich, a small chili, chips and a soft drink. 13 ish dollars. Let's start with the sandwich. The buffalo sandwich was good. The tangy buffalo sauce and the melted provolone and blue cheese complimented each other in a well balanced flavor. The chili on the other hand. Needs to be rethought entirely. The hearty tones of cummin and chili powder were drowned out by the tomato paste with diced onions and a sub-par hamburger crumbles that was unseasoned at best. There was no topping added to the top, nor was I asked if I wanted anything added. I would return on some occasions. But I don't think it would be a regular destination. read more

I love that you can customize your sandwich toppings so easily when ordering on the website; super helpful that you can designate "Lite", "Normal" and "Extra" on every topping. Pretty awesome that you can get a fountain soda, chips and a completely custom sandwich delivered for under $15. Also -- this location is on point. I'm embarrassed because it's gotten to the point where I order delivery every 1-2 weeks, and I always have hot food in my hands within 25 minutes of ordering, every single time. Ingredients are always fresh, and the contents of my sandwich have always been correct. The buffalo chicken, chipotle chicken and cafe club are my favorite sandwiches -- make sure you get them with banana peppers! Seriously though -- I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Hwy k Picklemans goes above and beyond whether it's for our dining in experience or if we are feeling lazy and want delivery! The staff is super friendly and always acknowledges guests coming and leaving! We get the same thing every time, the number 8 and the number 11 with two bags of chips. I'm sure if we ventured out to other menu items they would not disappoint. The broccoli cheese soup is also delicious!! Creamy and flavorful! Delivery from here is one of the best in town! They are fast, the food is always hot, and the driver is always pleasant. The last time I ordered the employee I was speaking to on the phone asked how to spell my name, which I believe was going the extra mile! He could of just spelt it the more traditional way, but instead made it a personalized experience! Check them out!! read more

So disappointed - we were super-excited to try Picklemans. Unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations. The description of the vegetarian pizza is peppers, black olives and onions. Be aware that the peppers are very hot jalapenos - and a lot of them. The manager refunded our money after we were unable to eat it. This location opened recently so I will give it another chance but for right now it was lucky to get 2 stars. Went there on a Friday night there was a family in front of me placing there order. One person taking sandwich requests and making then while 3 other employees did i assume their jobs.. The sandwich maker was very good and was keeping up with the increase of traffic. The person taking the items from the sandwich oven conveyor/cooker seemed a bit confused. I ordered a meatball marinara and my wife ordered a chicken gardiniera. As the sandwiches came out the sandwich topping person had no clue what the sandwiches were coming out or who they belonged too. Sandwiches were going out to the wrong people and wrong tables. The person at the register didn't know what sandwiches were which either. There didn't seem to be a manager on duty and being so new and not having an established traffic count you would think there would be someone there who should be able to step in and manage when needed. In order to build new business you have to make sure you are giving everyone the best first time experience possible so they do come back. I understand its a franchise and they have been taught a system that Pickleman's has adopted but the system is weak and un-perfected. Quizno's has had an unsuccessful run with many failures and its because the system does not work the way it's designed. To avoid failure put more people in the number one position (order taker/sandwich maker). I hated having to tell 3 people what I ordered that is ridiculous! The worst part is my wife's sandwich came out with just chicken and cheese I assume their had to be something else on it besides just cheese. The gal did ask what I wanted on the sandwich but I said we would take it the way it's supposed to come. No garden needed we wanted to taste the sandwich the way it's sold. No gardiniera on it just chicken and cheese. As far as the meatball marinara/parmesean it needed more sauce all I tasted was meatballs. I'm sure there is a recipe for proper portioning and assembly but the mark was missed on our first and most likely our last visit. If I wanted quizno's I would have just went across the street...oh wait they didn't make it. As far as the staff they were friendly but not very menu savvy. Have them take home the menu and learn it, there should never be a question they couldn't answer your customer. read more

I accidentally ended up here after wandering off I-64 and was pleased by what I found. The place was nice and clean. The staff were extremely friendly. I ordered the #5 Turkey Bacon Club and my sister ordered the #3 Veggie. Both were fresh, delicious, and steaming hot. I found the prices pretty reasonable ($5-6 a sandwich). I also love that they have a soda machine that makes over 100 different flavors of soda. I tried both a strawberry and grape Fanta. Yum! I will definitely return if I'm in the area. read more
