The food here is great! It truly is. You really do get what you pay for when it comes to quality. The owner is also very sweet and has remembered my family's typical order. Tried this place for the 1st time today. Was greeted when I walked in and the place is clean! I ordered 1 ground beef and 1 steak taco (traditional style- lettuce tomato cheese) Although I agree with some other reviews that $3.25 per taco is expensive the tacos are BIG!! That being said the ground beef was flavorful but the steak was bland. I can also confirm that as of this post they are still charging for chips/salsa which I think they should give out for "for here" orders. Doesn't have to be as big as the purchased size of chips/salsa but a small amount should be included. I'd try the house tacos next time! read more

This place was just ok. The food was borderline expensive ($8 for burrito) and all sides were extra. It was mediocre. I ordered a veggie chimichanga which included potatoes and beans. The potatoes were burnt and that is all I could taste. The guacamole was ok, but the chips were extremely greasy. The pico de gallo however was very good. By far the absolute best Mexican place I have ever found! It's better than sit down restaurants, any fast food chain and even better than making at home. The food is authentic, light and so fresh! No grease and oh so tasty! I had steak tacos on flour tortillas tonight which I had been craving and let me tell you they did not disappoint which most places around here have! Then don't even get me started on the guac and chips!! A little on the pricey side($6 for a full container and bag of fresh chips) but so worth the fresh and zesty guac! While it is very unfortunate because the food is good..we will no longer be giving them any of our business. My son usually requests Pico at least once every two weeks but after ordering them for a catering job 20 people this past weekend we will never frequent them again. We ordered chicken and steak fajitas (1/2 pan each at over $100 each) that usually comes with rice and beans (ours didn't at an extra $70) and chips and salsa.. and tortillas..The bill was over $365 and included an up charge for cc processing. The lady who my husband placed the order with at the time didn't give us a price and would not give him a catering menu because she said the price of meat was fluctuating so much she didn't want to commit to a written price on menu (which should've been a clue not to order)..such a shame. i Did research other local restaurants an found very easy online catering menus that only would've charged about $50-65 each half pan and included rice and beans...don't order from them they will rip you off read more

Well went here and ordered what we normally order from speedy burrito on 179th and Lagrange and paid $42.00 for what we normally pay $20.00 for. Food was not even close to as good and the hot sauce must be made with ghost peppers cause anything we put it on was inedible. First and last time eating here. Wouldn't have written this review if the food was $42.00 good. We got 4 steak tacos, 3 al pastor tacos, 2 tamales, a chicken tostada, and a bag of chips with guacamole. As a very avid Mexican cuisine foodie, I decided to give Pico De Gallo a chance last night. Sadly, I won't be returning. Pricing is higher than most Mexican restaurants in the area, for starters, and the quality just wasn't there. Service was fine, no complaints there. We ordered 5 tacos and the nachos and all were barely palatable. I tried the house taco, it was okay but nothing special. The steak was dry and the cilantro and onion overtook any flavor the steak had to offer. The nachos were just pathetic, no beans and barely any cheese. Not to mention there was no pico or guac for the +$7.00 price tag. I love supporting small business but this won't be the Mexican restaurant in town I support. I've lived in New Lenox all my life, time for a different type of restaurant to come into town. read more

Rip-off. I was wary when i walked in and saw the Burritos were $8.00 and tacos started at $3.25. Well, I thought, let's give it a shot--maybe the food is great! Wrong. No seasoning in the meat, no taste in the beans and the guacamole tasted like it was from Jewel. Food was very average--yeah, that's a good description, but at these prices it's a crime. You have to pay for salsa, (bland and served in a tiny plastic cup) and chips. And get this---$2.50 for a large styro-foam cup full of ice and some Pepsi,(no free refill). Let's put it this way, a steak burrito dinner, 2 tacos,the tiny salsa, a small guacamole ran us $32 and change!! Keep in mind this a tiny joint in a strip mall with plastic forks and knives,(I'm surprised they don't charge extra for those), no waitstaff, you have to carry your food on a tray. To put this into proper perspective, the night before, my wife and I went to Little Joe's in Frankfort, had a medium sausage pizza, a dinner with salad/bread that we ate with real silverware, served by a great waitress and it was $28.00 without the tip. Save your money and get some real Mexican food. read more

Today we ate here for the first time. It wasn't what we expected and while there we saw a couple more people open the door, look in and leave. The food was pretty good although we felt it was a little over priced. The place has about 5 tables but feels more like a carry out fast food place. They do not serve alcohol or give free chips and salsa. Its also hard to eat with the flimsy plasticware they give you. We're not sure if we will try it again or not. I have visited the place twice. Once was opening day and service was slow which is to be expected. The first time they served our meal to another customer. Then took the food back and then tried to serve us the food even thou the other customers started to eat the food. They remade the food and it was very good. The Chicken and Steak Tacos that day were good. I visited again recently and the food was so so and the service was even worse. The cashier never asked if we wanted flour or corn tortillas for our tacos. I watched several customer come in place an order and then receive their food before us. I finally went up to the counter to ask when our Taco order would be ready and they tried to serve me a burrito. They quickly made my chicken tacos with corn tortilla's which is not what i wanted and my wife's I had to remind them to use flour. I also saw a customer who was leaving with his carry out come back in because his order was totally wrong. I will not be be back for a long time! read more

My wife, our two-and-a-half-year-old, and myself went to Pico De Gallo for dinner tonight. We ordered the house special pork dish (the picture on the wall makes it look like it's served on banana leaf, with a bowl of sauteed onions on the side, but it came as a taco), the house tacos, horchata, and a side of guacamole and beans. Everything was great, especially the house tacos. Honestly, the beans were average and nothing special, but everything else was quite tasty. The guacamole came with home made chips, and my child had a quesadilla and loved it. The first review mentioned how slow the service was, and that was not our experience. There was line out to the door almost the entire time we were there, and, because of JF's review, I was timing the wait time it took for a person to order and receive their food. It took around 7-10 min. on average, which is pretty good for food made to order. It was a little pricey, but I think that we'll be back. read more
