Called and spoke to the owner and told him what I wanted. He stated he was busy and has a 5,000 minimum? and he MIGHT be able to come out next week, no definite. Who would want to do business with someone who has lousy customer service skills, just over the phone? Showed me what his intentions are. Maybe he didn't want to drive to Santa Clarita to look at my project and quote. I have no issue with the 5,000 minimum but really? AND HE MIGHT BE ABLE TO? We ended up having a massive remodel project that become very complicated when the county got involved. The work itself was excellent, we love how it turned out, and Brian offered some great ideas to help make the yard look good without going broke. What really impressed us was that long after Brian and his team finished the actual work, they spent several months at the county office getting permits finalized for a final small bit of work the county required. This review is a long time coming. Last year, PB ripped out an old concrete walkway from my yard and installed a beautiful new walkway and patio with pavers. It has been about a year and a half and the work is holding up. We have had zero issues and the patio/walkway looks as good as it did the day it was installed. Excellent in every aspect! After reading prior Yelp reviews for Picture Build, I was sold. And the prior reviewers were spot on with their praise of the workmanship, professionalism and quality. Brian (the owner) came in with a bid that was close to two other bids we received. After my husband spoke with Brian he knew he was our guy. Our project was a medium size patio and sitting wall. The concrete patio was 40 years old and built like Fort Knox. The guys worked SO hard on the demo of the patio. The only break they took was for lunch. No chatting, standing around staring at the enormous task at hand. They WORKED!! Incredible!! AND they kept everything neat in the back yard. It took 2.5 days for the job to complete, which is surprising since it took them an entire day of demo. These guys know what they are doing and do it correctly and perfectly. Picture build was great. Brian was one of the few people who actually called me back and came out and gave me a quote for my residential project. Not only did they landscape my front and back yard beautifully, they re did the hard scape on my driveway with pavers that look beautiful, re plumbed all my irrigation, put in new lighting and water timers and did all this in a timely and neat fashion. Brian Godley did a fantastic job on our landscaping, and was a pleasure to work with. When we moved into our first house last year the front and backyard needed a total makeover (half-dead lawns courtesy of the drought), plus the driveway was ugly cracked asphalt. We hired Brian (after faithfully checking his references) because he had totally re-landscaped two houses in our neighborhood and we could tell by how they looked that he did real quality work. He explained the different types of hardscape--gravel, mulch, artificial turf--and created a design plan for us. He very patiently went through several re-designs until we settle on what we wanted, which turned out to be a mixture of artificial turf (which we had wanted from the beginning) and drought tolerant plants in mulch. We had originally wanted to replace the driveway with concrete and requested some pretty brickwork like almost all of the houses nearby had. Brian suggested instead that we go with pavers, saying that they would really make the place stand out. He was so right! Ours is the only house with pavers in the neighborhood and it looks really terrific, we've gotten tons of compliments on them. He helped us select a color palette that matched the house which was had just had repainted. The workmanship on the driveway as well as a double pathway we had him do out front shows great attention to detail, you can really tell someone took the time and effort to do it right. I love plants and flowers, but I almost love the stonework he did more! Both front and back gardens turned out great. Instead of a regular square of lawn with plants around it, in the front the artificial turf looks more like a wave, an accent among the plants in the mulch. In the back, we wanted to look out and see an expanse of green instead of brown, and the artificial turf gave us that. (Before you do a project like this, you say "fake grass," but by the end, you're telling everyone it's "artificial turf!, don't you know?") We even had him put in a hard curb on front of house, because for some odd reason it didn't have one. He finished the job on schedule, which was fantastic, since so many jobs end up running over the deadline. He used high-end materials, and it shows. We are very happy with the results, and highly recommend Brian and his company Picture Build to anyone who wants to turn their current garden/driveway into something really special to be proud of and to be happy to coming home to every day. read more

Just finished a job with Picture Build and had a great experience! We initially contacted Brian as we were experiencing foundation issues because of nonexistent drainage on our back patio. We mentioned concerns over cost because we could see how we could start out talking drainage and all the demo that went along with that, then it would turn into what would replace our cracked concrete and how we would landscape at the end.
