The Subway of pizzerias. Just past the bun place at the airport. They don't have their own section for tables so you'll have to grab a table somewhere else. You can build your own or use one of their signature recipes as a template. They offer several kinds of crusts including traditional italian, gluten-free, thin, etc. They also have a selection of cheeses & toppings. You're looking at about $20 per pizza which is ridiculously high considering these are personal size pizzas, but they are your standard big city airport prices. I ordered the Five Star recipe with a few tweaks of my own. The lady said five minutes which I immediately thought was odd, but it actually took about 10 minutes to cook. The ingredients seem fresh as far as they were pulled from the fridge that day, but just like with a Subway, you can tell they've been sitting out for awhile. Nothing truly stands out as far as taste. They used a mozzarella & cheddar blend, but both cheeses are subtle. The sausage is in the same boat. The pepperoni has a decently potent flavor when eaten alone, but is easily drowned out by the metallic sauce. The sauce is a victim of being too acidic from the tomatoes which means it was most likely prepared without a bay leaf. It also has a metallic taste so it came directly from a can without any prep to get rid of the "can taste" such as adding in some orange skin peels or a bit of sugar. The crust was also still a bit doughy in the center so it was undercooked as well. It all comes together to make a disappointly slightly below average pizza that looks delicious. Would thisbbe a go to pizza spot for me? Nope, but if you're at the airport with a group this is an shareable meal that will keep you going while you're waiting. read more

6/10/24 was my second time ordering pizza here and I definitely did not have a great experience. The lady that made my pizza wasn't really friendly. I asked for the thin crust but she gave we the traditional crust... I also wasn't done asking for toppings and she already put it in the oven, so i told her that I wasn't done. The lady in the neon jacket was so rude. She helped me at the register and said "that's not going to cook". In my head, i thought about other pizza places like this that usually just leaves the pizza in longer/ puts it back in the oven so that the pizza cooks. Anyways, she started speaking a language that I understood. She was telling her coworker in that language about how i had too many toppings on the pizza. I don't see anything that says there is a limit, so what's the problem. My sister and I grabbed personal pizzas here before this restaurant was getting ready to close, so our options were fairly limited. We were, however, able to get the pizzas we wanted. Do yourself a favor, and just do not go here under any circumstances. The dough is horrible, it is very Dowie. The marinara sauce is plebeian. The cheese is processed. The service is horrible. I almost didn't go here to grab a layover meal after reading all the Yelp reviews, but thanks to everyone putting in their two cents, I was able to make an informed decision about what/how to order! I started by asking for the traditional crust and marinara sauce for my pizza. After that, I added fresh veggies like spinach, olives, and onions to the mozzarella. Since many previous reviewers noted that their pizzas seemed underdone, I asked if I could have it a bit more crispy and they said it wasn't a problem. After a few minutes, the pizza was done. However, in the meantime I noted that they also had kalamata olives, so I asked if they could put a handful on top of the pizza to finish it off. They added the olives as requested, which I really appreciated. The pizza crust was nice and crispy, so I could pick up the slices without everything falling off. Imagine, you're on an hour and a half layover in my least favorite airport in America at 5am and hungry. Each place you pass by has a long line. Pie Five had no line and was an oasis in a culinary desert that is SFO. My man cooked me up a breakfast calzone which I had no idea was a thing until I was 2 weeks ago years old. It was a delightful culinary experience that was essentially an omelette encased in bread. However, you need to ditch these "sustainable" cutlery options. I broke enough forks and knives trying to eat this to create a larger carbon footprint than an H2 hummer powered by endangered species. Also, shoutout to my man for breaking the rules and letting me throw some sausage and pepperoni in. Because that policy is on par with the current immigration policy.
