Alas, this was one of the rare times the yelp app let me down. I was excited to try pie snob, until I did. My wife and I picked up a small slice of chocolate cream pie and a generous slice of apple crumb. We took it back to our resort, popped in the mini fridge and were looking forward to having it for desert that night. Well we started with the chocolate cream which had the consistency of custard, like it had been in the case awhile. Also, the chocolate and the whip cream had no flavor at all. The crust was quite tasty but overall it was a disappointment. So we had high hopes for the apple crumb and unfortunately, we went zero for two. The apple crumb did have a tasty shell but the apple slices were hard and tasted under cooked. After having seen such high reviews we were disappointed we did not have that type of experience. Saw pie Snob on IG and couldn't wait to try it for "Pie Day" (3/14) and so glad I did! Bought the razzleberry pie and a slice of Apple Caramel and both we're awesome! My wife and I eat a lot of desserts (no shame) so when we drove by and saw a place called pie snob we thought "they better be good with a name like that." And boy are they. Wow. We got a 4 slices of four types of pie and each time we agreed that was the best pie of that type we've ever had. These pies are so good. If I had 10 million dollars id give this lady 1 million to open a larger place. And of course feed me pie forever. read more

Cute small place. Keep your eyes open as I drove right past it the first time. But it's totally worth it. I've been back a few times leaving with slices of pie for each family member. We stopped in this morning to try some of Pie Snob's tasty pie. We ordered inside and sat at the table outside to enjoy our apple crumb and chocolate cream pie slices with some milk. The chocolate cream pie was much better than the apple crumb as it was too cold and the crust was quite hard. I really wanted to love this place, because I LOVE a good piece of pie. I likely won't be returning. Why?? Well, first off $4.50 is a lot for a slice. It better be delicious for that price. And....it wasn't. It was just regular pie, nothing special. I had the coconut cream, which did not have enough coconut filling. It was greatly overpowered by the whipped meringue. Ordered catering from Pie Snob for my wedding. They are very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. They don't try to gouge you just because you're getting married. They make all their pies with fresh ingredients, so you can't order pies with fruit that are out of season. The pies were a huge hit. I loved banana cream and caramel apple. Honestly, I'm not really a huge fan of apple pie, but their caramel apple is just a bunch of caramel (which i LOVE) dumped on top of some apples and baked into a perfect crust. I might have liked it even more than their banana cream, which is usually my all-time favorite. Green chili apple and the berry pies were less appetizing to me, but some of the guests loved them, especially the green chili. The green chili flavor is very unique and definitely enhances the apple flavor, but I couldn't get over my pie tasting like tomatillo. read more

I love this place. We recently found out about this amazing place when we were driving by it on our way home. We picked up a couple of slices of Apple crumb. When we got home and had our first bite we instantly regretted not getting a full pie. The pie was sweet and tart. The crust and topping were absolutely amazing. We have been back multiple times for different occasions. Every time we take one of there pies over people who crazy for it. We recently picked up a Frankinpie which was a mismatch of the different pies they were offering for the day/week. It was perfect to take over to a party. Everyone was able to find a little something they liked. They also offer ice cream and drinks for there or to go. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants some delicious pie. read more

I was in a rush to get a pie, and wanted to know what flavors were currently in stock that day. I had tasted the Pie Snob pie before at an event, and wanted to purchase a pie from them. I first called the Indian School location and then the PV one, only to be sent to voicemail both times. In addition, one of the voicemails had not been updated since early June, when Arizona had a weeklong curfew. I called each location a few more times, still getting sent to voicemail. I then messaged them via their instagram, and never received a response. I ended up taking my business elsewhere, but the poor online customer service would stop me from considering going here again. read more

I was so looking forward to having our pies done by Pie Snob this year for Thanksgiving. I have to say the 2 pumpkin pies were average at best. I have heard nothing but raves about this place and all the yummy pies. I pre-ordered 2 pies and pre-paid for this years Thanksgiving. The street was jammed packed, which I don't care about (I am sure the neighbors must hate it) but the pies were just average. They looked tossed in the box and finger prints all over the boxes. Crust was not complete and filling tasted good but wasn't anything I would rave about. For the price I felt let down. Everyone who raves about PIe Snob talks about there other pie's and not the pumpkin but for 20-25$ a pie I for sure expected more. I may try it again for one of the other types of pies but my order for next years Thanksgiving will be going back to my local bakery. read more

The pie here is phenomenal!!! My husband and I walked by this place one evening after closing. It looked clean and tidy and had a good feel to it. A few days later we had guests and I stopped by for the Apple with Crumble topping AND caramel. Warmed at home with a little (or a lot) of good vanilla ice cream. THAT should have been dinner. So good!! Everything about it was just right. Fresh, thinly cut apples piled at least three inches thick. The bottom crust was crispy/flaky and the crumb topping was excellent. There was just a nice amount of seasoning and not too sweet. They have a specially made caramel that just perfects the whole experience. I've purchased the same pie for other occasions with the same result - people were blown away. The other day I went in for one and they were out. I got a key lime and it was JUST AS GOOD. Little bit tart, little bit sweet, creamy delicious and the crust held together for a couple days. I dunno, I'm no expert. Maybe it's just me, but if the last thing I ate on this earth was a slice of their Caramel, apple crunch pie . . . I'd die a happy man.:-) read more

In these turbulent times, I'd like to take a minute to talk about the cheesecake. I'm not a man prone to hyperbole so please believe me when I say that their New York cheesecake elevated me to a new plane of existence. The flavor, the texture, the consistency! After one bite, a warmth came over me. After the second bite I wanted to call my dad and tell him it's ok cool that he wasn't around when I was growing up. After the third bite, I wanted to call my ex and tell her it was all my fault and apologize to my unborn child for yelling that one time they came home late on a school night. I am a current and frequent customer of Pie Snob and I feel compelled to respond to Martina's negative review of November 8th. Pie Snob Bakery is not a store front. There are no tables and chairs. You pre-order a pie and then you come pick it up. Why Martina thought that in this scenario she should have been greeted with a sample doesn't make sense. As to her comments about the owner: I know she does rent out the bakery to other small businesses. So, who knows if Martina was talking to the owner or a startled renter who of course would not welcome her and ask her how they could serve her pie needs. The pies speak for themselves which Martina would have known had she actually had one. The owner is VERY accommodating and the pies are the best I've tasted. BTW, Love the Green Chili Jalapeno Apple and can't wait to see it on my Thanksgiving table! read more

Stopped in and got 3 slices to go of the apple crumb pie. It was excellent and easier than me making a whole pie myself. But I am a very precise apple pie baker and I make my own crust from scratch then carefully peel, core and cut each apple by hand and have been doing this for 40 years. But if you fear eating a whole pie or you just want a lazy Sunday afternoon Pie Snob is a great place to get pie. As a pie snob myself the crust and crumb topping were excellent. The apples sweetened just right; not too sweet still having a hint of tartness and the apples still had a slight crunch and weren't like apple sauce. But you could tell the apples are cut by a machine (which I'm sure is easier when you are making lots of pies) but it takes away from the homemade feel especially when you find some apple peel in the pie. I'm sure we will return for a slice when I'm feeling lazy and not in the mood to bake. read more
