This is a great place to enjoy eating and company with friends. The pizzas (pies) are 12 inch and 8 slices is a little big for a person but a great size to share. There prices are a bit high for instance a couple of garlic knots and cream are 8$. Pizzas are average price. They also have a couple burgers and salads. I got the donuts for for desert and they were so good. 8 perfect fried balls of heaven with a warm honey glaze sauce on the side. Amazing!!!! The service is a bit slow but this restaurant is amazing. I went here for brunch with a friend of mine last Sunday. They were surprisingly not very crowded. Our host still gave us a 10-15 min wait time before we were seated. After seeing the same 5 empty tables not getting seated while waiting the first 10 minutes, I happened to make eye contact with a manager who immediately walked to the host stand and we were seated shortly thereafter. Our server was good, she seemed occupied with her other tables, but kept us in mind without being too interrupting which is nice. The food was great. My only complaint was that my biscuits & gravy arrived to the table simply warm, not hot. Within 5 minutes they were cold :( The egg on top was also slightly underdone for my tastes as I could still see the clear whites on top next to the completely raw yoke. But it was still delicious and I happily ate it. (UPDATE: The manager contacted me and invited us back for a second chance. The food was really on-point and I can't get over their pizza crust. I came here with some friends for their lunch special- $10 for salad and 1/2 a pizza (which is a really good deal). I was happy to see that there were quite a few vegetarian options on the menu! I ordered the Veggie pizza and a Caesar salad- both of which I really enjoyed. I do wish that they give more salad though. The Veggie pizza was good- it had eggplants and I think broccolini on it, as well as other things, and it was even seasoned with some lemon zest on top. I honestly didn't think the flavors would work together, but I was pleasantly surprised. so it only took 3 years but we found our pizza place. For fresh, handmade pizza with delicious ingredients we found our place. Too bad we only have two months left in Dallas but with their Tuesday special we might be turning into regulars for the remaining time we have left. Tuesdays any pie is $10 whether you eat there or carry out. The prosciutto pie is our favorite. Don't get me wrong the others are good, we've tried the margarita and pepperoni and mushroom and they are yummy but average. But the combination of pistachio and prosciutto takes me back to study abroad in Italy. Bonus is that the dough is legit and the arugula has been fresh every time. N really likes the chicken parm too - serving size is huge though so either have a voracious appetite or split it for two. We originally tried the design district location and this one is much better from experience, service and location. We went there maybe twice before realizing they had another location which was closer and easier to get to. Parking can be limited in their lot which is small but they have a complimentary valet which is nice. Tonight we sat in front of the chefs making the pizza which was amusing to see them machine-like crank out pizza after pizza. Loved getting to see them craft the pies with the fresh ingredients. We appreciate that they accept open table reservations and they always seat us earlier than our reservation since we haven't quite mastered the art of arriving at the time we reserve. Service is always a friendly greeting by the hostess, they recognize us now which is kinda fun. Servers have varied on their attentiveness. Tonight was great but last Tuesday we were ignored and had to wait 15 minutes for getting attention to ask for our check from a different server than ours. Maybe one day we will not order so much that we have leftovers and are full so we can try their dessert - the donuts look intriguing. After yelping pizza in the area we were staying we choose Pie Tap Pizza Workshop. It did not disappoint! The pizza is definitely some of the best we've ever had, and we consider ourselves pizza snobs. The garlic knots with whipped asiago cheese was amazing. We HIGHLY recommend the arugula pizza. Yum! Great service, the hosts were having fun with us and our waiter was very informative and welcoming since it was our first time. The pizza was so delicious, it's simple but it's well made. Super cute pie shop in lower Greenville. We went on a Tuesday and found out that all the pies were only $10! I think they have this deal every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We got the salami pie, which we felt was basically a meat lovers pizza and it was pretty greasy and the sausage pizza, which was really good and not at all greasy. They take pride in their crust/dough and we all agreed that it was good. The trio dipping sauces for $3 was great, came with a goat cheese sauce, ranch and marinara. Usually not a fan of marinara but the one they made was really good. We also got the rosemary lemonade and Arnold palmer, loved the flavor and scent from the rosemary. For dessert we got the donut with chocolate/honey sauce, loved mixing the sauces together. Next time I would love to try the chocolate cake with homemade whipped cream! read more

Flavor 4.5/5 The garlic knots and the prosciutto pizza are the highlights here. The asiago whip that come with the knots straddle that balance between sweet and savory really well. The bread of the knots themselves have an amazing texture, but could use a bit more flavor in and of themselves, but the garlic over the top and other seasonings are quite wonderful. The prosciutto pizza also straddles the sweet/savory line with balsamic, nutty prosciutto, and sweet notes from pistachio and medjool dates. I also tried the salami, which was amazing. I was expected more pepper taste to balance out all the meat but was still excellent. Take advantage of the half-and-half options! Atmosphere 4.5/5 Nothing to complain about from a modern, clean, and trendy pizzeria Value 4/5 Pizzas and garlic knots are a little pricey for what they are. Pie Tap is now my favorite pizza in Dallas. The decor is trendy, and this would be a fun place for a night out with friends or a date. The only downside is that this location is incredibly small. If you walk in on a Saturday night you might be looking at a 2 hour wait for a party of four. Also, parking is a hassle. There are only 7 spots in their lot, so you will probably have to valet or try to weave through the narrow streets of the adjacent neighborhood. They have a good beer list, with lots of local choices. The spiedini was gooey and awesome. The prosciutto pie is a must-get; I find myself craving the mixture of creamy ricotta with sweet dates and crunchy pistachios. We've also tried the salami and margherita pies; both are well made and flavorful. The crust is thin, but it has a little more heft and airiness to it than a classic Neapolitan pizza like you'd find at Cane Rosso. Apparently Pie Tap uses a 96 hour process and only 5 ingredients in their crust; that may just be a marketing gimmick, but whatever they're doing makes a very delicious crust. Make sure you get the dipping sauces (set of 3); they take the pizzas to a whole new level. I don't even like goat cheese and I'll eat their goat cheese fondue. You can tell the marinara is made fresh, and the ricotta ranch is quite tasty. I've never understood the hype around Fireside (they're good, but not amazing). I do enjoy Cane Rosso, but after coming to Pie Tap a few times it's clear that they are the winners, hands down. read more

They have valet but the valet guy took forever, plus they park the cars there at that same parking lot in Dallas Brake. On Tuesday they had pretty good options for happy hour. The frose drink is really good and I tried their pizza. I was able to do half and half of toppings. I had their margherita and salami pizza and it was delicious. I tried their garlic knots and the butter that was paired up with was delicious as well. You have to try the lollipop chicken wings!!! I tried their hot honey garlic and they were to die for!!! On my second visit I had their Hot honey truffle chicken sandwich and I devoured that sandwich!!!! The waitresses are a hit or miss but they service is good. The owner told me that they have the frose in a gallon to take home! That's a win! It's a good environment to go and have a quick dinner with friends/coworkers. read more

We sat at the table for 15 minutes before we were even given water. The excuse the manager gave was that he was re assigning people to tables. We had to ask a waiter cleaning off the table beside up who was coming to serve us. She said that she would go and ask, then another wait came in the area to adjust the table next to us. I asked her who was our waiter and if she could bring us some water with lemon and limes to the table. She left, then another person brought us water (with out the lemons and limes). The person the dropped off the water was asked again for lemons and limes By the manger was at the table apologizing. The waiter brought the lemons/ limes to the table on a cardboard coaster. My friend was upset and the manager even stated that is not how they are suppose to serve the lemon to the guest. Overall experience was poor. I will not come back. read more

They have varying seating options but since the weather was so nice the evening we went, we chose to sit outside. Being it was our first time here, the server was very helpful in explaining their menu items and suggesting a few popular options for us (that surprisingly enough weren't the most expensive things on the menu either) We both had the Rosemary Lemonade which was very refreshing and not overly sweet like many tend to be. We then split the Prosciutto Pizza which had a great balance of flavor as well. Then attentiveness of our server and the entire staff was one of which every restaurant should model. The manager made her rounds through the night to check on all the tables, and nearing the end of our meal and after praising how delicious it was to our server, he was able to offer some insight and future suggestions for our next visits. Food wise, the pizzas were plentiful, I'd say one could feed two people! I got the chicken melt and it was okay, not amazing, but I wasn't upset.
