I came here a few days ago with a friend from the area. She had been there before, but only for a beer. They have a great selection of beer on tap. She ordered a craft beer and I had my usual vodka martini. The service was very good, prompt, but not intrusive. We ordered the Board (meats, cheeses, crackers, nuts and other great stuff) and the Knots (bread knots served with wonderful whipped cheese spread..that I'd love to have the recipe for). Both were very good and very filling. We couldn't finish either, but left feeling full. The place is large enough to easily get a table, although I had made reservations, which I usually do if the place accepts them. They are on OpenTable. There was valet parking if the lot is full. We got the last spot in what is a small lot for such a good restaurant. I will go back in the future, if only to sample some of the many beers on tap. Give this place a try. Service was so good...attentive staff and I love when servers give their opinion on items on the menu. The first place I ventured to try in Dallas when I moved here last Winter. I love the arugula pizza! So delicious.

SO many things are right about this place. I remember driving by and seeing that they were "coming soon" and I also remember thinking "Oh great, another pizza place. BoRING." Well folks, it is here on the very first day of 2018 that I stand sorely corrected. This spot is absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is very cool. Different seating selection will accomadate anybody that walks in and the music is also fantastic if I do say so myself. The only thing that I would change is the television situation. They need more Tv's. And the ones they do have up at the bar are difficult to see with the fixture lighting. But other than that it's great. NOW, on to the food. The group I went with had 5 adults and a teenage boy. So that should give you an idea of how much food we were about to go down on. We ended up starting odd with a few beers and a carafe of BlackBerry mimosas which were all delicious. Then decided to order the chicken meatball appetizer. It only came with three but SPA they can add on as many extra meatballs as you'd like. We got 5, one for each of us. And it was so good. The Marinara is one of the best I've had in Dallas this far. Try these for sure. After much debate, we decided on three pizzas. The pepperoni pizza, the chicken pizza, and the smoked salmon pizza. The pepperoni was delicious. The crust on all of these pizzas is uhh bloke any scrappy crust from dominos. It's perfect air pockets just hold in phenomenal flavor. Classic. So good. The chicken pizza was delicious. The mixture of pungent cilantro with the sweet barbecue sauce was heavenly. Finally, the smoked salmon pizza. I am an avid fan of salmon and am very picky about seafood. But let me tell you. I could have eaten this whole pizza by my damn self. It was so good. The capers and red onion with the dill drizzle were pure perfection. Order this. I cannot stress this enough. Just do it. Lastly, we got the donuts. So so good. Would recommend if you have a sweet tooth. Local honey was my favorite dipping sauce. Yum. If you ever come here and have the pleasure of sitting in James section, you are in luck because he was wonderful. Full of great suggestions and very friendly. I was a bartender for 12 years and you can always tell when someone truly likes the place they work. He does. Great job. Also, ask him about his Turkey spill at Dennys story. ;) read more

This is by far my favorite pizza place in Dallas! The chicken pizza is absolutely amazing, and it's changed my husband's view on banana peppers. The cocktails are good, and they have a good variety of drinks. We've been here for dinner and brunch multiple times. If you have room after pizza, get the donuts!! PSA. Canola oil alert. Have been a regular, like literally weekly. I just learned that they use canola oil on most pizza and in their salad dressings (should be criminal). This is a typical cheap swap restaurants use instead of using olive oil. Canola oil is super inflammatory and trash. This has been the only pizza place I'll eat in Dallas as I was under the impression that their dough etc. was made with super clean, minimally processed ingredients yet they choose to use canola oil. I recently visited Pie Tap for the first time for a young professionals group happy hour and I came away very impressed. I was able to sample several very delicious appetizers and take a stab at their sizeable drink menu. When it came to ordering a pizza, I stuck to the basics and ordered the Margherita. It did not disappoint. The interior vibe was very nice. High ceilings, a large open bar, and fun hip decor. The staff that was working had no trouble at all handling our large crowd. I will definitely be returning to Pie Tap soon to delve further into their pizza menu. In the meantime, I highly recommend that my fellow Dallasites come in and give Pie Tap a try. read more

My husband and I call ourselves pizza connoisseurs and have been regulars at pie tap since is opened. I think it is the best pizza in Dallas and up there with some of my favorite pizza places of all time, and I have eaten ALOT of pizza. Sometimes, my husband and I force ourselves to go to other dallas pizza places to make sure we aren't missing anything. However, this usually results in us leaving unsatisfied, craving Pie Tap's heavenly thin crust that is crispy throughout but yet still perfectly doughy with a mouthwatering, airy outer-crust. We have tried all their pizzas and have never been disappointed, but my favorite is the prosciutto and arugula. Although I usually like meat on my pizza, the veggie pizza is also surprisingly delicious and full of flavor. Don't forget the dipping sauces on the side, they really do take things to the next level. The order comes with asiago whip, but we opted for a side of marinara sauce which complimented it nicely. We ordered the Margherita pie (12 inch) which can feed two people. It's better than most of its competitors, i.e. Cane Rosso, Coal Vines, etc. The restaurant had a nice open space with outdoor seating, and a modern design. They always have great food. This time was not normal at all. We received our pizza and it was missing a piece. The waitress said a piece fell on the floor and they would only charge us for half the pizza. We were good with that. Beyond that we saw the waitress 3 times total, once for drink and food order, once to bring our food and drink refill and then the last time to bring us another pizza and the check??? Came to pie tap this morning to show off good eats to our friend in town from Washington. Service was very good initially, but our food came out wrong. Their team insisted that they make it right, so what did they do?! They remade my pizza, remade my girlfriends omelette, and did not charge for the original or the remade food. This is above and beyond service because all they had to do was reduce the charge of remake the food and leave the charge on our tab. This goes to show you that there are great people out there and people regularly do the right thing. The best customer service anyone could ask for and the food was knockout, per the usual. I've been ordering out here almost twice a week for over two years. The homemade pasta is very good but the portions have gotten very small well the price has gone up. I have tried 2 or 3 of their other pizzas, but I'll keep coming back for the margherita pizza. Their Caesar salad is amazing, too. They use whole Romaine lettuce leaves. The dressing and croutons are so good. Also had their half chicken. It was really good, but I don't recommend ordering it for take out.
