One of my favorite pizza places. The food is great, the prices are worth it and the portions are lovely. We honesty had a great experience until I paid for the meal. We needed a to go box so we waited for a server to come over. I'm not sure if our server went on break but we waited for about 30 minutes trying to flag down someone multiple times only to not be noticed. It looked as though the servers were just talking to each other? I could be mistaken on that though since I'm an outside observer. Bf and I have been here multiple times for date night. It's ALWAYS packed -- we always have to park a little further away and walk, but it's so worth it. The place is warm and inviting. Low light, always smells pleasantly of bread and marinara, and always a comfy temperature even on the patio. We've tried a few things here, but tonight we got the Garlic Rosemary Bread as an appetizer, and wow, what a sleeper. We loved this, probably our favorite appetizer we have had here. I also recommend the fondue as we have enjoyed that one in the past. Tonight bf got spicy rigatoni and I got carbonara. The carbonara here is great, very rich and tastes SO good when you mix in the poached egg. It's so rare to find a carbonara that isn't just Alfredo. Bf commented that the rigatoni actually had a kick to it (he says places tend to under spice a "spicy pasta") and he enjoyed his dish. We have also gotten pizza here before and highly recommend. Their dough and marinara sauces are incredible. Overall a nice place on the upscale side. On Friday nights like tonight, it can be LOUD, which is a downside. But with a reservation, we were seated immediately and all our service was very prompt by our waiter. Even with a full house, food was out in 15 minutes or maybe even less. I placed two orders of meatballs for dinner and lunch the next day. When I got home, half of the sauce spilled everywhere in the bag bc the to go containers had holes in them. They were steady in my car fastened with seatbelt. Had I known the to go container had holes, I would have brought my own and switch. Came here on a thursday night right before close and really enjoyed it here. The staff was very kind about us coming close to closing time and kept telling us to take our tim, which I really appreciate. To start we got the Garlic Puffs, house salad, and arancini, which I pleasantly enjoyed. The salad was fresh, and a great way to start the meal. The garlic puffs came with this salted whipped butter that pairs perfectly with the bread. The arancini was crispy and had a satisfying bite with some cheese pull which i liked :D For our pizzas, we got the margherita and egg mushroom pie. The crust on both were crispy and fluffy, and the tomato sauce the margherita had an amazing tomato sauce. I really enjoyed this place and would love to come back and try more soon! read more

This is the pizza joint I'd been looking for in DFW! There is a lot of great pizza in DFW, but I'd been looking for their style and I'm thrilled to find it down the street from home. I love the ambiance. It's tastefully done and inviting. Pizzas in the brick ovens are top notch in my opinion and the crust is delightful. Since it was our first visit, they gave us free samples of each sauce, so now we know what we would get next time. We had the fennel sausage pizza and lollipop style wings. The sausage was superb and once you have lollipop style wings, you'll never go back. We had the hot honey ones - highly recommend. Our server was also spectacular. As regulars who have enjoyed coming here since 2017, we were bummed by the lack of flexibility during our recent visit. We arrived right at 5:00 PM as a party of three. Despite several open tables, the host insisted they were booked and placed us at a 10-top in a louder section. Checking the app showed plenty of 5:30 PM availability, so it was frustrating when the staff declined our polite request to move to a smaller table. Really enjoyed our trip to Pie Tap. It was our first visit. I read about the sourdough crust from the reviews so I was open and curious. I loved the crust! Very tasty. The whole of the pie itself was new for us- its texture almost evaporates so definitely a different kind of pizza. For a person newly eating here I recommend just being open to a fresh take on pizza. We definitely liked it. This is an adult establishment with a great beverage selection plus mocktails. I enjoyed a frosé as my starter, and had wine with my dinner. My companion had a scrumptious blackberry smash. Cocktails are made with low shelf mixers as appropriate though it looked like they had some higher quality options if you prefer. Service was courteous. The atmosphere is trendy. We sat in the covered patio so it felt outside but also not in the blistering Texas sun. We will definitely return. Their chicken sandwiches are divine. I'm often here for happy hour here on Fridays, and it can get very busy. We got an order of arancini to share and their lunch specials half pie + caesar salad for $12! There is construction going on outside but the inside is very nice. Casual but intimate.
