Pretty busy place in the summer to visit, but good ice cream. It's a great outdoor ice cream shack where the staff is nice and fast. With no indoor seating, there is limited outdoor seating, but plenty of parking.

Pied Piper Drive-In - Huron, OH "A hometown classic that still hits like a scoop of summer nostalgia." If you grew up in Huron, you already know--Pied Piper isn't just an ice cream stand, it's a community staple. And if you're new to town? Add this to your must-visit list. Immediately. This family-owned gem has been around for generations, and it's still going strong with friendly, local staff, a huge menu of treats and eats, and that special something only a true hometown favorite can deliver. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and every visit still feels like summer break. My go-to order? The blue raspberry Juicy Freeze--a slushie blended with vanilla soft serve that tastes like happiness in a cup. When I want something extra indulgent, it's the Buckeye Sundae. Chocolate, peanut butter, and Ohio pride all in one. The foot-long hot dogs are classic, and the lunch menu has plenty of solid options when you want something savory before dessert. It's the kind of place where you can grab dinner and dessert for the whole family without breaking the bank. Good to know: They now accept cards Tons of seating, even on busy nights Everyone in town has a favorite menu item--and a memory to go with it Whether you're a longtime local like me or just passing through, Pied Piper is the flavor of Huron. It's not just about ice cream--it's about tradition, community, and that first brain freeze of summer.

Open for 72 years Pied Piper is your classic old fashioned ice cream stand with all kinds of cones, sundaes, flurries. They even have lunch/dinner food like chili dogs, sloppy joes, and hamburgers. I've been here many times over the years and it's always busy with the parking lot full as well as the many picnic tables. I recently went here with my grandma and we enjoyed cones. I had a chocolate cone (soft serve) with crunch coating. It's the best thing on a hot summer night!

Ice cream and shake came out so quickly! Strawberry short cake was vanilla ice cream layered with strawberries and shortcake and whipped cream, very yummy. Banana shake was delicious. The ice cream shown was a MEDIUM! When it came out that window I was like oh sh*t what have I done. Devoured it. Staff was friendly. Outdoor seating area, window for ordering and then window for picking up. Heard the hot food was amazing too, will be going back soon for sure.

Good place for ice cream. It often is a popular hangout in Huron. Pied Piper has been around a long time. Lots of cold treats and greasy hot food. This is good after the beach to cool off. After visiting Nickel Plate Beach we went here. It has an old school look. This has a big window. Order at the front after waiting in line. There of course is lines but it wasn't busy the last time. Even when it was hot. You get lucky here some times. It has a good selection of ice cream. They even have Dole Whip. It's about $3 for a medium cup. They give you a generous amount for it. It always is a highlight when visiting here. So much good stuff to get and there's big portions. They also have artery clogging burgers and hot stuff.

I love this place. They have a huge variety and even the sloppy joe's are good. Make sure to have cash though!

Dina's brother Lon and I, two skinny lads (hey, honest, I was skinny once), used to come here after a round of golf for a nut dip.

Then they weren't the pickle ones , but the food was subpar for sonic overall. Service was terrible. Im usually pretty gracious bc I know people have bad days, but this was just mean. I pulled into a spot and waited 15 minutes for them to take my order then got screamed at and told stop pushing the button and they would not take my order. The car next to me had the same experience and they just up and left. They are supposed to be open until 12 and they turned lights off at 1045 probably bc they didn't want anyone else coming. I am in Sandusky working in the ER as a travel provider and sonic was about all that was open after work. I had great food back home at sonic so I was sorta excited. If this was my first sonic experience, I would not return. Not only was the service bad the food wasn't good and was cold. I asked for ketchup and told I could only have 1. I actually finally downloaded the app and ordered mobile pick up so I could get food. If anything else was open, I would have went there instead. I should have just left. If you have any other options, go there. At least at Taco Bell they don't yell at you. The ambiance was not noticed as I was hungry and now frustrated.

First night: I…read moredrove 1.5 miles from our lodging to cure frozen custard cravings! I wasn't fully satisfied with my frozen custard experience in MO. I figured to give OH a chance with their competitor. Fresh Frozen Custard Concrete Mixer appeared and tasted like melted custard gone wrong! Custard base was white, included two flavors of your choice. I chose caramel and peanut butter. Also selected almonds and paid a little extra as I craved for crunch and texture in my evening treat. The flavor combinations meshed well together. Also disappointed that my dessert wasn't filled to the brim. This is how my treat was served when I shot the photo. Please freeze the supposedly frozen custard for a longer period of time. I'm certain there will be happier customers in the future. There are pros regarding dine in: Plethora of free parking in the lot. First order, then pay. Customer(s) will be given a number and instructed to place number placard on the table. An employee will bring your order(s) to the table and remove the number placard. Lots of tables, benches and individual stools with countertops. Second night: I persuaded my husband to let's try their ButterBurger and fries for dinner. We're all in and arrived hungry at 8:05 PM to find a sorry for the inconvenience sign indicating they will close at 8 PM tonight. Normal COB hours for Mondays are 10 PM. That was an unexpected closure. If I'm in the area again, I desire a complete meal filled with ButterBurger Cheese, Wisconsin Cheese Curds and a Frozen Custard Concrete Mixer.
