Honestly, I'm a big fan of Pieology. BUT this pieology is the absolute worst one I have ever been to. The type of pizza/crust is actually on the side of the wall and not in front like where all the ingredients are so when my friend asked one of the employees (Andy) about them, Andy made my friend walk all the way to the back of the line to see the SIX crusts that they had. He did not even know what type of crust was available and there was only SIX.. which really is not much to memorize. Continuing with the process of making my own pizza, the other employee (Emily) was in a very irritable mood, which rubbed off on the customers. She also puts VERY little ingredients on the pizza. I don't expect to get an entire pizza filled to the max with vegetables/meat but i certainly did not expect to find FIVE PIECES of spinach. There was literally five pieces! The pizza was also burnt to the point where it crunched like how a potato chip would crunch. Overall, it was just a bad experience and the amount given on top of the pizza is just not worth the price. I suggest you go to another pieology because this one is REALLY not worth it. read more

Be weary of getting pizza in the evening. This place likes to close earlier than their hours. As soon as I walked in their workers automatically give you attitude. The lady making our pizza was so short with us. She looked so mad at us for ordering and gave so much attitude my friend decided to not order pizza anymore. I just resorted to a simple pie pizza to get us out of there ASAP. We waited outside for our pizza and the manager ended up giving us our pizza. The cleanliness of this place is way below standard of other pieology locations. The staff did not change a new pair of gloves after touching the door handle, carrying container from kitchen to the front area, and then cleaning the counter. He then grabbed a pizza and start making it and adding toppings. I was shocked. The counter area where all the toppings are stationed is a mess and very disgusting. I won't be coming back to this location again. Everyone seems very unfriendly and the cleanliness is non-existence. I will be surprised if I don't get a stomach ache. There are two issues with the online order. First issue: employees and manager are not trained properly in addressing error code for online order such as credit card CVV. Before Customer S Business Manger rush into judgement. I tried 5 different credit cards but resulted in same issue. But simply changing the email address it solved the problem. Therefore the issue wasn't the credit card but the website. The manager suggested to use the Pieology website or 3rd party such as Uber Eats and will treated as curbside order. But Uber Eats charge for delivery so it won't be a viable solution. Also Piology don't take phone order. Second issue: pizza size, quality and portion is extremely small. On the receipt I specifically indicated "Please extra toppings 3x amount of the regular." As you could see on the picture is not as requested. Also the Daiya Mozzarella (Vegan) is gooey and has a weird taste. The pizza is extremely oily but is not from the meats. I am requesting for a full refund. read more

Quick and friendly service! I came in for lunch and this place gets busy! The crowd comes and goes but it is definitely a prime spot for lunch. I got my own custom pizza on a wheat dough crust. This is a relatively new business. We were looking for authentic Italian pizza; the best thing is their crust is made using the special dough called Pinsa which is much healthier and lighter. - Locale Destination - It's on N Grand Ave and Valley Blvd in Walnut. It's in the big shopping center, right across from "Ten Ren". Ambiance: Very modern, clean lines, spacious. Tables both inside and outside. Service: Very friendly, yet slow. Lots of dirty tables. Maybe a little understaff since it seemed to get busy. Hence all the tables were dirty (dinner time), so we took off for "L&L". The start of the queue: I hate those "chipotle" style places because they don't navigate people easily - especially for newbies like me. The start of queue is usually not obvious. This place got a sign says "the queue starts", which is good. However, they put the menu in the middle of the queue only (nowhere else), so it doesn't give you much time to absorb the menu since lots of people come from your behind... I don't come to these type of places much, so I need more time to check what they offer but they don't give it to me. Very customer unfriendly. Menu: only one menu in the middle of the queue. If you don't know it well, you have very little time to check what they offer, which pretty sucks. I think they have pizza and salad. Pizza has either "Unlimited toppings" (about $8) or "pre-set menu" (various pricing and various menu yet I couldn't see all). Even if you couldn't understand the menu, you'll see all the toppings in the kitchen line. Very typical topping varieties. Parking: Big but it gets packed when peak hours. Avoid those hours. - Gluttony Expedition - I didn't have time to absorb the menu, so I put whatever for unlimited toppings - pepperoni (very very small), black olives, onions, sun dried tomato, spinach etc. I think they're skimpy on toppings and cheese. The crust was doughy and not crispy. I don't even all it as "NY style". It's more like the one you get from frozen pizza... The machine presses it in front of you, which is kinda cool. But the crust wasn't good in any means. The sauce was pretty bland. I didn't like it at all. Relatively big. But not so tasty. Disappointed. - Conqueror's Deduction - I don't like pizza. I came here due to the school fund raising for my Yelp buddy. I think "Blaze Pizza" is way better than this. Not that I'm willing to eat pizza in general, but I'd go to "Blaze" if I had to eat this type of pizza. "Fuocco's" in Fullerton is the best pizza for me. The crust was too doughy, not crisp. Ok, so, this review might be a little unfair. Heh. I HATE Chipotle and Subway, so I sort of hate Pieology, but I have more love for Pieology because it's, well, PIZZA! Who doesn't love pizza!?! I can already feel my anxiety levels shooting through the roof as I draft this review. I love to be under the pressure, but when it comes to my food, I hate it. I hate having to decide what I want in this, what I want in that, as a huge line forms behind me. I feel awful horrible when I'm taking an extremely long time to decide and I still don't know if I want this or that. It's even more horrible when I don't even know what they have to offer and other customers are behind me, breathing very closely... After getting through, and surviving the tough ordeal, the prices and portions are pretty good. It's whatever you want on a pizza for a set price, no additional charges for toppings! The employees are always very friendly and I know they're still new and there's a bunch of kinks and their kitchen floor is grossly messy, but I honestly just hate the whole ordering part. I ordered the #6 (mozz, garlic, pesto, roasted bell peppers, parm) a few times and added on meat toppings and they always forget to add the roasted bell peppers and pesto, for some reason those are always added after the cooking process. After the first time fail, I always try to remind the employees what I ordered and they said they got it, but to find out they only added roasted bell peppers or nothing at all. It's not like I pay extra or anything, which is cool, but once I drive out of the parking lot, expecting pesto and roasted bell peppers, I EXPECT pesto and roasted bell peppers dangnabbit!! Anyway, that's my little butthead moment about the place. See, how I hate this type of ordering?! They still mess it up. Also, avoid their ham and pepperoni toppings, tastes like 97% fake 3% whoknowswhatitis...their meatball doesn't taste good either. Either it's super fake or super lean, it just doesn't add anything to the pizza. Veggies on the other hand, are super crisp and fresh! I've also tried their cinnamon pizza, it was ok. My bf loves it, he loves anything with sugar on it. I didn't care for it, if anything it's just tough. It becomes a cracker after an hour or so. So even for a horrible ordering system and messed up pizzas, they get 3.8 stars round up to a 4 because employees are patient and friendly and for good tasting pizzas even though I never get what I want on most days. 4 stars sounds about right. From the time you enter the door, you've already found yourself in line to order. There's a menu you'll come across that'll give you a few choices on. There's a few salad options, and of course pizza. There's a list to choice from or you can customize one yourself with the numerous toppings you'll be able to pick out as you're making your way in line. As I knew I wanted to build my own, I continued to make my way. I was greeted plesantly and asked what crust I wanted. I went with the gluten free, which is $2 more than the regular. He did ask if he needed to change his gloves. It's good to know that they take that stuff seriously but for me, it wasn't necessary. So next step was the choices. Oil, butter, sauce? What you want or don't want. That's the beauty of this whole process. I appreciated the fresh choices of veggies, including spinach, basil and mushrooms and red onion that were part of my topping selections. Got ricotta cheese that wasn't necessarily the best. The meat is pretty standard for such a place but it'll do. I got some pepperoni and even got extras of the chicken and bacon. Heck, why not, it's part of what I'm paying for! Yep, double that stuff up! All said and done, I got a pretty delicious, light and yet satisfy lunch that still gave me half the pizza to take home. It was easy and service was fast and friendly. The seat yourself dining area is kept clean. They've done nothing different than what has already been done by another (Project Pie to name at least one). They have a variety of ingredients placed in front of you to choose from. -Sauce (red sauce, herb butter, olive oil) -Cheese (mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan, gorgonzola) -Toppings (olives, mushrooms, onions, peppers, pineapple, pepperoni, sausage, spicy chicken, chicken, meatball, ham, bacon, etc.) *Add as many or as few ingredients as you would like! You can create your own pizza or choose one from their menu. Also, they have a few prepackaged salads in a cold case at the end of the line. Located in 'The Village' plaza with a Starbucks, Coldstones, L&L, Tenrens, Nature's Juice and other businesses, so it can be a hassle to find parking during peak lunch/dinner hours. There are always people dining inside Pieology no matter what time of day you go, but the line and service tend to be fairly quick. I do prefer deep dish over thin crust pizza, but Pieology is still a great place to order a personal pizza. I will be back :) read more

I haven't been to Pieology ever since I moved to Diamond Bar area. Been a regular at Fullerton location. I suddenly have a craving for it so we went. Pretty surprised they were quite empty during dinner time around 6.45 PM. So EVERYTIME I go to Pieology (not only in Fullerton), they usually ask me which spread I want. Anyway, I forgot because it was a bit on the side so I said marinara. And I told her I want garlic herb so she just poured it on top of my marinara LOL, it's a SPREAD!! Then I ask her if any ways she can put alfredo, she said no. Okay, can you at least offer on the side? So maybe that's why this location is pretty empty, it's different than any other locations. Pieology never disappoints me. I went back to see the girl's name but she did not wear a badge like the others. It's Thursday 6.45 PM and she had braided ponytail. Damn... why didn't I think of this. (Smh!!) this concept is brilliant. Like many have said before; this is the Chipotle of pizza. The cooler thing is they don't give you dirty looks when you ask for an array of different ingredients (You hear that Chipotle! Squints eyes*) The location in Walnut is great cause of the outdoor ambience. They have a water fountain and they will actually bring your pizza to you outside. (Service!! Choooool!!!) The seating outside isn't too limited... that's if Mt.Sac and Cal Poly students don't bum rush the seating first. (This location gets packed at lunch time 11-2) however, the line moves fairly quickly inside. Just a small thing I noticed... this is the first time I visited this location. The location closer to my home off Colima... doesn't cook the pizza cracker or pizza tortilla thingy as much as Walnut does. The location off Colima in Industry cooks it more like the texture of the flat bread pizzas at Bjs. (Said by the girl who doesn't fancy pizza* heehee shh!)
