This business is CLOSED permanently. And, the food wasn't very good. Lots of better choices in the area.

Disappointing. Atmosphere more like fast food restaurants. Seafood was not fresh. Ok meal. Nothing special.

I have been to many restaurants that I've enjoyed but this one stands in a class by itself…read more Starting from its sofisticated yet relaxed ambiance, to its exquisite food prepared by knowledgeable cooks, to its extraordinary customer service by friendly servers. One always has a delightful dining experience here. Today, I decided to dine there on the way to going to watch the Actic Productions musical of Into The Woods which was being performed at the D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center in Fincastle, Virginia. I arrived soon after they had opened at four in the late afternoon. A friendly young lady greeted me at the Host's station right at the entrance of the restaurant and after asking me where would I prefer to seat, took me to the table of my choice. Studying the menu it was not easy to choose what to get from the great variety of dishes. But by the time my sever Kaylee arrived with a big smile and welcoming attitude I had made my decision. I would start off with a Mojito Mocktail to drink. As appetizer I ordered their Coconut Shrimp, followed by a House side salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing. And as my main entrée, their 8oz Filet cooked medium-rare. I asked the server for the items to be spaced out and to have the salad before the main entrée. The Mojito Mocktail tasted wonderful. As I was enjoying it a young gentleman server assistant brought me the Coconut Shrimps and they looked amazing. They were enormous in size, very crispy on the outside and fresh and moist in the inside. One of the best that I have ever had. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the place and the high-quality of their food. Then came the salad which also looked and tasted wonderful. Almost right after bringing me the salad, they brought me the main entrée of the Filet cooked to perfection with a loaded Baked Potato. I don't like when this happens, but the food was so good that I patiently ate it and then asked to speak to the manager. There was no manager on site but the person in charge of the kitchen came to see me and I explained the concept of timing to him as a constructive criticism, letting him know that everything was so exquisite that I was not upset, just wanted him to know so that in the future when this is corrected both the other customers and I could have a more pleasant dining experience and enjoy our food better. For dessert I had their Strawberry Shortcake and it was amazingly delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream in the middle. This was the Grand Finale of an excellent meal. The incident of the timing, suddenly didn't seem to matter that much because they took my feedback gracefully and I was able to teach them a lesson in fine dining. In conclusion I continue to highly recommend this restaurant and am looking forward to returning to try one of their other amazing items from their menu.

We had a wonderful server, Brittani, who provided excellent service. She was very kind, kept our drinks flowing, and didn't miss a single detail on the orders. The hospitality here is unmatched. The food was delicious. Every item we ordered was fresh, hot, and seasoned to perfection. The fried pickles, seasonal and Caesar salads (with perfectly cooked salmon), bourbon chicken, pesto pasta, and kids' meals (chicken strips with fries) were all outstanding, and the key lime pie was the perfect sweet finish. If you are anywhere near the area, this place is an absolute must-visit!

That was no problem, so we asked where we could wait and was told either outside or the bar. We chose the bar, got a drink and relaxed. About 20 minutes later I received a call telling me our table was ready and to get back to the front door. I had kind of expected for someone to come and get us since they knew where we were, but again no problem. When I got back to the front door, one of the hostess seemed confused and somewhat annoyed. It took a while, but our group was finally seated. The waiter was not overly friendly and barely spent much time with us. It seems the waiters pay a lot of attention to some of the regulars and not so much to other customers. One even sat down at an adjoining table and had a lengthy conversation. I thought that the food was good but the service left something to be desired. Noise level was high.

I'm a fan of a Connecticut style roll (hot buttered lobster roll) so this was on my must-try list. The roll was expensive ($25) for a very small roll (we finished it in three bites) BUT it did contain both claw and tail meat. The roll was fresh and buttery and the lobster was cooked well. I only wished the lobster contained a little more butter. They had other items on the menu such as crab fries, coconut shrimp and on Facebook they show snow crab rolls coming soon (yuuum). The staff were really kind and even threw in a few fries for us to try. Overall, a nice experience but just expect to spend some money!

Sadly, I wasn't. Service: I stood in line for 40 minutes before I ordered and then another 12 minutes for my food. Yes, there was a line ahead of me, yet there really was zero sense of urgency to move that line at above a snails pace. I also had to ask for forks and napkins Sandwich was pretty small, and lobster was chopped up and heavily seasoned. IMHO, it didn't taste fresh either, like maybe the seasoning was an attempt to cover the quality or freshness. Roll was not sturdy enough to support the lobster (pretty sure it was a cheap hotdog bun) Two sandwiches =$52. Alot for what it was and for lunch at a food truck My rating rationale Service +.5 Food~Taste/flavor/quality +1. Presentation +1 Atmosphere/vibe Value
