Went here tonight not only did it take over 30 minutes for me to get my pizza but the people that came in 15 minutes after us got their pizza 10 minutes before us but when I went up to ask why it was taking so long the lady was rude and made up some excuse about having to cut up the cheese bread (that already comes in slices)! Not flexible at all when it comes to coupons and specials. I've had similar experiences as all the other users with coupons, so I didn't even bother looking for one. Their menu is very hard to read. I like the pizza (when they cook it long enough), but this time they were very under-staffed. For a Friday night they had 3 employees. One on the phone, one at the register and one making pizza. They weren't busy, but still it took 30 min to get a pizza. I can understand if you are busy, but when my pizza comes out and is barely warm and the cheese bread is almost cold, I could tell it had been sitting for at least 10 min since it came out of the oven. At least they gave me a ranch dressing for free. I think she felt guilty giving me a barely warm pizza. The pizza is good though if you can stand the poor customer service. read more

Not my favorite pizza. Great crust but SOOO skimpy on the toppings. We paid $20 for a smallish Large specialty pizza and some slices had literally one piece of topping on them. I want to give a higher rating because I love Pier 49's pizza but as far as this location...it's SOOOO frustrating. They never have a delivery driver and if they do they try to talk you out of delivery by threatening a 2 hr wait when it's usually just 45. That's if you can get them to answer the phone. I cannot count the times I've called and it rang at least 15 times before picking up or they just don't answer at all. If it wasn't for them being the only good pizza I can find around here I would stop giving them my business entirely because they clearly do not care. Makes me sad because we do love their pizza, they just have horrible management. read more

This place is the place you get food right before a movie because cinemark is right next door. You walk up to the counter and there is pizza spinning in a circly thing and you can order by the slice. We really enjoy this place. The pizza is yummy, however a little on the pricey side. But I think it's worth it. It's difficult to find good pizza in Utah County anymore. Most of the families want cheap cardboard pizza they can feed an army with. Many many varieties for your family. I have a son that loves the all meats and then I have a vegetarian daughter. As soon as I walked in and saw an empty restaurant, I knew it was a bad sign. The manager had just pulled on new gloves, and put his hands all over the dirty front counter near the cash register. I should have left then. The place looked filthy. I am a vegetarian, so I asked for no chicken, but extra vegetables on my BBQ pizza. They said it would be an extra charge. Strike two. Then they refused to take the coupons we received via email. We had signed up for them a few days prior. They had not yet expired. We were told they weren't valid at that location. The pizza is yummy BUT... They run out of dough...on the weekend...EARLY evening. WEIRD They run out of caesar dressing...on the weekend...EARLY evening All 4 of the salad plates had been not so carefully 'wiped' off...in other words, NOT washed, but thoroughly chilled. Okaaayyyy... Had to check ALL the forks and knives for one that wasn't as dirty as the others. There's just an overall 'something is not right' feeling there. I've been ordering Pizza from this place for a few years as it is right across the street from my neighborhood and generally serves higher quality pizza than most other delivery places of a more "Fast Food" like orientation. My wife and I like their pizza but their service is always horrible. We ate the last meal we will ever order from the American Fork location of this business about a month ago as the normally poor service we receive seemed to de-evolve into outright offensive and horrible. We called in and ordered a large pizza around the dinner hour on a weekend. After repeating my very simple order to a clearly incompetent teenager several times and then providing payment information, I was told that my order was in and hung up on without even being told when my order was estimated to arrive. After OVER AN HOUR of waiting our pizza I received a call from our delivery driver who was lost and asking directions to my place (again: RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET). I gave her directions and was willing to let it all slide until I signed for my pizza, tipped the driver (against my better judgement) and took the pizza to the dinner table. Upon opening the box I was rewarded with a STONE COLD $25 pizza. WHAT A JOKE! Naturally upset I called them to complain (not my thing and I NEVER do it). I again spoke with the incompetent teenager and told her that waiting 1 1/2 hrs. for a cold pizza was unacceptable and asked what they were willing to do to compensate me. Instead of an apology, and offer to rush me a new pizza, or refund... THE GIRL ARGUED WITH ME!?!?! She claimed I had provided an inaccurate address for my own residence and that because of this the driver ended up in the next city over @ the wrong address. This is not possible as my number and address is ON FILE at this pizza place and I have never had to provide the cashier my address information since my first order. Their drivers are always slow or late in my experience but this is the first time I've ever had one get lost, deliver me a cold pizza, and then blame ME for it. Unbelievable! So if somebody from Pier 49 reads this: "You lost loyal customer due to your incompetent and unprofessional staff! If you would like to avoid losing MORE customers in the future you should up your starting wage $1-$2 and get some people in there that have at least proved they can graduate high school. Rude workers and manager. The cashier even refused to get the manager for me because they told me they would tell me the same thing. They have a restaurant.com coupon that you can use and I pulled the coupon up on my restaurant.com app on my smart phone which i have done at many restaurants before yet they would not accept it. They said it had to be printed out, which is not true. All the restaurant needs is the coupon code and they validate it with restaurant.com. I will never go to this restaurant again. read more

Not sure if this location is under new ownership but our last experience was not good at all. Our family has gone to this location 6+ times, but on this occasion we ended up leaving before we received our meal. We ordered sat down with our drinks and awaited out breadsticks and pizza 25 min goes by, I ask the girl behind the counter how long before we get our meal and she whispers it's going to be another 20 minutes. My reply was we have already waited 25 min and haven't received anything. She then went and got the manager who said I'm am sorry we have ran out of everything and we are having issues with delivery drivers. Not my problem is what I'm thinking. He asks what he can do and after asking for any food while waiting. He said no there isn't we said ok we will take the money back. Ended up at in n out burger across the street. We LOVE their pizza!!! However, the service is TERRIBLE! On two different occasions I placed an online order for delivery, received confirmation of the order, and then no one ever showed up with my order. When I called to find out where my pizza was, they said they never received my order and blamed me (the customer) for not ordering correctly. The staff was rude and inconsiderate. On several occasions I've called in to order for delivery only to be told they weren't delivering that night (and not nicely, they are always hostile). One night we went to restaurant to get food and they had closed early without any notice. We called to find out what happened and again, they were rude. Another time, we wanted to order their dinner for two - we don't like the dessert pizza that comes with it, so we asked if we could sub it out for an order of cheese bread. We were willing to pay extra for it! We just didn't want the dessert pizza. The manager was rude and not helpful in creating a positive experience or recommending options. We were simply told - NO SUBSTITUTIONS. Needless to say, we avoid this place as much as possible. read more

It is important to note that there is currently a management overhaul. They should be reopening in a week or two. The pizza is delicious which is why we have put up with their TERRIBLE wait time and customer service. There have been times we have called to make an order and they never picked up the phone. One pizza was under cooked. I thought it was so I flat out asked them. They assured me it was fully cooked. We found out it was not at home. Also, I ordered a pizza to go, waited an hour and finally asked what was taking so long. They had been holding it in the back for who knows how long. They said they thought it was called in. This is a case of poor management so I hope the new ones make it better. read more
