Well, we are staying in the area for the week, and were able to walk to Pier 54 and eat Saturday evening, the day we arrived. Very enjoyable, with a sever who was responsive and super friendly. Zero complaints, it was a "we'll be back" experience. There's lots of great eateries and restaurants very close, but we decided to go back, because it was so good. We aren't the complaining type, and I'm still a little mad at myself for leaving any type of a tip, let alone a decent one. I can't blame it all on the server. Made reservations, and arrived, and it wasn't honored. Where would you like to go, this area is pretty busy. No big deal, twenty minutes of blinding sun was fine. Sat down, ordered drinks. Server came said a local craft bottle wasn't available. No big deal, ordered a basic draft. My wife's drink came, and we waited, and waited. Server came back to see if we're ready to order, and I said, just like Norm, Beer???? She apologized and said she had two big tables and forgot. What did you order? No worries, we get it. Then she took our orders. Wife, Caesar salad with chicken, me Wagu burger and fries Server came over a little later and asked my wife if she wanted her salad now ( it's her meal, nothing else ordered). She said bring it out with his burger. No problem, no big deal. Food comes out together, looks good, wife's happy with her salad, I grab a fry before jumping into the nice Wagu burger...... Perfect date night! This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, with the exceptional views, the ambience, the staff, and the food, were all wonderful. Appetizers are between $12-18, and entrées were between $16-28-ish. Calamari was crispy without being greasy, and the Baja shrimp tacos were perfectly seasoned. Visited for the first time on Saturday evening. Overall, very tasty! All of the ingredients were high quality and our meals were very good. The lake views were beautiful and we enjoyed the live music. My husband had the ahi tuna, and I had the bacon shrimp skewers. We also shared a charcuterie board. Overall, the food was very tasty and this restaurant really cares about presentation. Everything we ate was presented very nicely. My only feedback is that we wished that the charcuterie board had some cheese on it. Also, I had ordered an Italian soda for my drink, which was much too sweet in my opinion. Had such an amazing dinner date with a friend. The weather was nice enough to sit outside by the water. We were able to watch the sunset which was really beautiful. Friday nights are supposed to be live jazz music from 6-9, I unfortunately have to question the "jazz" music that was being played because it didn't sound like jazz to me. I tried the Spinach and Artichoke dip appetizer, which was good. For my main course I ordered the goat cheese burger, this was only ok to me, it wasn't as flavorful as I wanted or expected it to be. They serve hand cut fries, which is always a plus in my book. I've only been to Pier 54 one other time years ago for lunch. We went for lunch on Sunday 2/1/26 at 2:00pm. It was not that crowded to wait about 10 minutes at the door to be noticed. I strongly feel we were seated after my husband said "I can't believe we have been waiting so long." The bartender came over with our menus. This young lady appeared to be miserable, without eye contact or a nice thing to say. No smile, hello, sorry for the wait. We waited for our waitress Lindsey for about 10 minutes. Lindsey took our order and returned with our drinks within a reasonable amount of time. We had 4 drinks, and mine was a martini. Drinks were delivered and after about 15 minutes, I asked for my martini. The bartender, who was extremely unfriendly , stated "I made it, it is right there." I had no idea my water glass next to me was my martini. No olive, no glass that appeared to be a cocktail when our waitress placed it down. The outdoor seating was pleasant on a beautiful day. Besides that, I was rather disappointed in the food, service, and overall welcomeness by the staff. Kassandra our server failed to tell us what the happy hour drinks were. It says "$4.50 well drinks". We said okay we want to put in some drinks for happy hour! When you arrive you are directed to park in a next door parking lot, they have an attendant and they will not let you use this lot unless you are going to a bigger restaurant that shares the lot, so plan on parking and walking. Originally I looked up "bottomless mimosas" and Pier 54 popped up. We had been there previously but it had been awhile. The ambiance was amazing and the spot was very cutely decorated. Spinach artichoke dip texture was thick (like a chowder) and tastes like mayonnaise with pieces of spinach . My partner ordered a BLT and fries with the tomato on the side and the tomato was cut into thick slices that ended up being thicker than the bread. Kids chicken fingers with fries and the kids did not enjoy the fries. I asked to speak to the manager and I watched the server approach the manager and come back and tell me that it is against the law to ask for a manager. (You could imagine the befuddled look on mine and the server's faces as he said it) I then explained that it wasn't for bad service but for the bottom mimosas prices since their online price was $12 with a $15 dollar food purchase and $2 refills after the 1st. I get there and the price on the receipt was $25 and no refill. Imagine the disappointment had I ordered a second round for another $25. After telling the server the issue of bottomless mimosas, the manager then comes to the table and proceeds to tell me that she needs to call the owners to see what she as the manager could do about the bill because she can't give discounts on alcohol. She comes back and said she can give me 20% off the meal. And that this wasn't the only time they have been questioned about their online menu not matching the in person menu. The atmosphere at Pier 54 was enjoyable. On a comfortable fall evening in Phoenix, it's perfect for hanging out for dinner and drinks on the patio with your peeps. The restaurant is located on a lake and has live music on the weekends. My goto margarita on the rocks was sublime. The only improvement they need is a bit more timely service. We had high expectations for this place because the photos are beautiful and they have a decent menu. Went with a group of friends and had a very nice server. We ordered the green chili as an appetizer and it was really tasty! It was plenty also, served in a clay pot with a few slices of cheese to be melted on top and chips on the side. Everyone dug in and it had a great flavor - we had to ask for more chips because there definitely wasn't enough for the amount of chili that comes out. The server gladly brought us some (her name may have been Scottlynnn- she was incredibly sweet and pleasant). We then ordered our meals: we had the lamb burger, goat cheese burger, the bbq burger, shrimp salad, and chef's burger - I also asked for ranch and a side of blue cheese crumbles to relish a little more on the chefs. The burgers come with a salad or fries. I opted for fries and some of us had salad too. I'm unsure if it was because we had an appetizer out first, but the food took an incredibly long time, which then amounted to the burgers coming out well done (way overly done) and I didn't even realize there wasn't an option for us to tell our server the preferred temperatures. They were dry, had to ask for condiments on the side, and I wasn't particularly moved by the flavor of the patty either (a bit disappointing if I'm being honest). And when our meals did come out, mine came with salad and my friend's with fries (they were switched). Our server quickly said, oh! I'll just go back and get some more fries and bring them out for you... which she left and came back and said- "I'm incredibly sorry but my manager is not allowing me to bring out more fries, can you two please just switch plates? Do you mind?". At first we were both like oh yeah, sure - why not. But then after thinking about it, really... we had already both started eating - so maybe that should have been the original suggestion. I asked for the manager's name just to add it here - Emily. I'm really taken aback that for a 6 top with everyone ordering food and drinks that one little side of fries couldn't have been brought out. Normally, at other restaurants when there is a small mistake a manager would have came out to check on the table. It wasn't a major mistake so surely it didn't warrant that (nor did we want or need that). But our server also said it was her second day. And perhaps it may have been a mistake on our servers part in putting the order in, but we are just on the tail end of COVID. Perhaps if it weren't my close friend I wouldn't have wanted to take his already started on dish and switch. This was poor manager judgement and I was disappointed overall by how this was handled. All in all, the food was decent. The views were very nice, but the food, flavor and experience was sub par. Next came the charcuterie board now when I was ordering it the waiter explained to us that it only came with meat but that we could order it with cheeses, dried apricots, fresh grapes, fresh pecans that I'm highly allergic to so my boyfriend ate them, fresh strawberries, three different types of cheeses one of them being blue cheese and three different types of meats and some freshly sliced bread it was a charcuterie board of yummy goodness something I highly recommend. My boyfriend ordered a green chili shredded type of verde that was nice and spicy it came with fresh tortilla chips the food was very good. Our waiter was very attentive and the prices were very reasonable this is a great place for date night and possibly group meals as long as you make reservations ahead of time if I could give this place 10 stars I surely would we'll definitely be going back. read more

This place has beautiful views of a little man made lake. Came on a Friday night and had no issues being promptly seated. They had live music which was a lot of fun and not too loud so you could still have conversations. Got a burger with a side of fries and a couple cocktails and they were fine. However I do think this place is pricey for the quality of food you get and the facilities (I.e plastic chairs, bathrooms are outside of the restaurant etc.). We were a party of five and got 20% gratuity added which was not identified in everyone's check but added to all. This policy applies for parties of 6 or more so it shouldn't have been applied to our party. Initially I was not aware of this addition and was going to tip on top of the 20%.
