Just left this office and wanted to leave a review right away! I'm so happy I found this place. From the digital new patient paperwork (so easy), to the beautiful design of the office, they are doing things right. What I am most impressed with is their customer service and the cleaning I just received! Dr Lieu & the hygienist Glen were kind, meticulous, and gentle when doing my X-rays and cleaning. I had no discomfort whatsoever and they removed all of my staining. Dr Lieu answered all my questions and the receptionist at the front was so nice! Overall just a very positive experience. Highly recommend

CT guided robot to place oral implant.

Go here if you need an implant! I cracked both my front teeth as a child and had a bad root canel on my right front tooth, which led me to needing an extraction and an implant. I went to another dentist who attempted to place an implant 4 times, and each time, they failed. He told me it couldn't be done and recommended a temporary front tooth. I was referred to Dr. Pierce by a cardiologist I work with because he performs CT guided robotic oral implants. What an amazing experience! Because he uses a robot, he was able to place the implant true center and straight with a minimal incision. Afterwards, I only received 1 stich, had almost no pain, and didn't even need to take pain meds. What a difference from the other 4 times I had oral surgery. I will never have another implant done anywhere else. He takes his time to explain everything and answers all of my questions. The office staff are all so friendly and perfesional. I can't praise this team enough. After 5 years of repeated oral surgery's I'm finally not embarrassed to smile again. Thank you all so much! I'll see you soon for my annual cleaning.

I found this place by miracle, I had a hard time finding a dentist with all the lock downs and ended up finding this one on yelp. I had an infected broken tooth that needed to be pulled and when it comes to pain I'm a huge baby so I was extremely nervous to have it pulled. Everyone from the amazing woman at the front desk Ginnie to the RDA Joe and especially dr. Pierce made me feel at ease and made sure I was comfortable before the procedure. I'm so grateful for them all and so happy that I ended up here today. And last but most importantly THEY HAVE HEATED MASSAGE CHAIRS THAT YOU CAN USE DURING YOUR PROCEDURE!!! By far the most luxurious way to have a tooth pulled out of your head (; If anyone that works here reads this I appreciate you all more than I could possibly say with a ball of gauze in my mouth and thank you all so much!

Follow up visit for overdentures with Dr Pierce. Remember to ask for a blanket if you feel cold.

A review two years in the making. Shortly after our free evaluation in 2020, our family looked at several options presented given my mother's unique dentistry needs, all with extraction and bone grafting, from lowest cost to highest: [1] Basic Dentures. [2] Upper Full Denture, Lower Arch - 2 Implants + Overdenture (Snap-On). [3] Upper Arch - All On 4 w/ Acrylic Teeth, Lower Arch - All On 4 w/ Zirconia Teeth, (8 Implants). We decided against just doing dentures without implants because we wanted better biting retention without reliance on using daily adhesive. We decided to pursue the removable denture with implants option as it would allow my mother to easily clean the denture and maintain good oral hygiene with a simple saline mouth rinse nightly. We inquired further regarding the possibility of additional implants and the cost. Responding specifically on my mother's needs via email, Dr Pierce said "4 implants is the minimum number of implants required for an upper arch overdenture. The additional implants are for stability and more importantly, retention. The upper arch requires 4 implants for enough retention strength to resist the chewing forces. Additionally, 2 implants would create an uneven balance in the upper arch because the bony ridge in the posterior isn't tall enough to provide support. Whereas, the bony ridge in the posterior on the lower arch is prominent enough to provide support for the overdenture. All follow up visits and necessary adjustments are included in the treatment plan. We will ensure that your mother is 100% satisfied with her restorations prior to completing her case." This last statement on "satisfaction" would be echoed throughout our follow up visits with Dr. Pierce. Given the revised treatment plan and the pricing quote on additional implants, we found that instead of 2 implants that we could afford to do 6 additional implants for a total of 8 implants (4 on the lower and 4 on the upper). The pricing for overdentures on the upper and lower arch with 8 implants was much more affordable than the "All On 4" Upper and Lower Arches quote we had been presented earlier. The first treatment phase my mother went through was the teeth extraction, bone grafting and implanting. This was perhaps the most traumatic for her, not because of any fault of Dr Pierce but rather the self-resignation that every tooth needs to be extracted, both the good, the bad and the ugly. This phase took about 3 months if I recall correctly. You do not want to rush this part as the bone graft material successfully integrating in the bony ridge is critical for osseointegration of the implants (as we see later). During this period of time, my mother was on a soup/porridge and liquids diet; she supplemented her diet with Glucerna shakes. The next phase was attaching the dental abutment to the dental implants and getting impressions for the overdentures. A week later, the wax dentures came in from the lab and were presented to my mother for an initial fitting and 2 weeks after that the final overdentures came in; some minor adjustments were made by Dr Pierce, shaving material to ensure a comfort-fit on the bony ridge of the upper and lower arches. This might have been the end of my review had my mother loved the look of the overdentures. But she did not. I thought they looked great but she looked at my teeth and said she wanted the upper teeth to look more like mine. Remember that word "satisfaction" from earlier? Dr Pierce said not to worry and the next few visits we had new overdentures just the way my mother had envisioned, both in look and in function. She could eat solid foods again, pain-free, which was a marked improvement in the quality of life from before teeth extraction. And for a time she was able to enjoy eating... But about 6 months later, my mother started experiencing pain again in her mouth later identified as localized to one of the implants on the upper arch. After taking x-rays, Dr Pierce determined that one of the implants had failed osseointegration (a possibility with any implant procedure) and that an infection had developed. Also, the x-ray showed another implant appeared to be failing even though there was no pain yet. Dr Pierce explained that instead of removing the implant and bone grafting to the same area, he could simply implant both to another area of the upper arch where there was satisfactory bone density and that would result in a quicker completion time. The overdenture would be modified to relocate the retentive caps so they would sit properly on the new implants. The silver lining was that there would be no extra cost for us and so we found this to be a satisfactory plan and were thankful that Dr Pierce was true to his promise of our satisfaction of his work. After several more months and several follow up visits after that, it appears the implants are holding and my mother couldn't be happier eating and smiling again. Thank you Dr Pierce and your entire office staff.

- Locale Destination- It's on Walnut and Tustin Ranch Dr in Tustin. This is the 2nd place for them. Another office in Orange. It seems to be pretty new. Ambiance: super sleek modern design in white, which reminded me of Sony building in Ginza, Tokyo. If you didn't know that, the building looks like a futuristic spaceship with white and light... Super neat, clean, sleek and futuristic. Equipment: Everything seems to be over the top high tech stuff. No paper, all digital stuff. X-ray to the screen to see the result in front of your eyes. The patient seating (at examination) has a temperature (hot and cold) system and massage function(for while waiting)! Most dentists are freezing cold, so it might be a good thing. Massage? It's weird honestly, lol, but that's the high tech chairs they have! Price: Compared to others, very fair - in the middle ground. Others gave me from $2k to 6k for a single dental implant. So it's not the cheapest but not too expensive. Service: They were all friendly Receptionist: Unlike the decor, she was very casual wearing T-shirt. Does she speak English well?! - Gluttony Expedition - I came here for getting the price quote on dental implant I need in 4 months. They offered me a free consultation for it. Not every dentist offers the free consultation, so it's a good measure for greater customer service. Dr. Pierce: he was very friendly and tries to make you comfortable (who likes to come to the dentist? ). He seems very very young (probably he is), but his explanation was very detailed and thorough, and easier to understand even for me. I've been shopping around the dentists for my tooth implant, so I can tell you this. Many of the dentists continuously try to explain with all the lingo the patients wouldn't be able to understand (unless you work at dental office) and waste the patient's time. What the patient wanna know is basically 1) whether if it's fixable or not 2) whether if it's covered by insurance or not. 3) how much it costs if insurance wouldn't cover it. Real genius are the one who can explain something difficult in the way even the stupid can understand. I tried to translate the language I wouldn't understand in the plain language I could understand by asking him questions. Dr. Pierce was patient enough to explain them all till I could understand. - Conqueror's Deduction - Very neat, sleek, friendly neighborhood dentist. Highly recommended

So happy Google search lead me to this Dental Office in Tustin. From my first conversation scheduling an appointment through booking my second appointment was so pleasant. Who ever says they don't mind going to the dentist?,...... Right?? This is by far the best state of the art dental office that I have visited, and I have seen a few. I came in with a failed previous dental implant from many years ago and Dr Pierce and his colleagues came up with a great solution to get my smile back!! Sean, Joe, May and Dental Office Manager Ginnie worked out a great dental plan!! See you next week Thank you so much-

As you can see my wisdom teeth were deep behind the rest

Stepping into the office, I felt as if I've been coming here for years. The staff is warm and friendly. Dr. Huston took time to explain a lot of issues I've been having. I never felt rushed. He truly cares about his patients and explained why I didn't need to get tissue grafting even though I was told by another periodontist in the area that I needed it. I had an implant placed about 4 years ago. I had my hesitations about titanium and was more curious about zirconia but Dr. Huston said a bunch of bad stuff about Zirconia. So, I trusted him and opted for the titanium, big mistake. Now, I am having issues with my implant and major bone loss in an area that had no bone issues. I am in my 40's and healthy. I have all kinds of numbness and gum recession due to the bone loss. I made an appointment to see Dr. Huston and he said it was because of my clenching and thought I needed a $250 mouth guard. I do not need that plus I have a retainer I wear and that just would not work anyway. He said he would look into things to see if he could come up with what was happening and he never got back to me. He also does not place the crown itself and I think that is problematic. If you need an implant I would suggest going with a practitioner who listens to your concerns about metal and also does the entire job. This doctor seems to be spread too thin as well. I am really sad to post this because Dr. Huston used to be a really nice guy but now it feels like you're a number and the personal care is out the window. I will be seeing another Doctor for my implant and gum recession procedures and that is his loss. I guess my dollars aren't worth it to him. On another note, the office is kinda old and dated looking but that's just me.

I've been going back and forth between veneers, gum contouring or both and Dr. Scott Rice was able to explain pros and cons to both options without being pushy. My teeth and mouth were perfectly fine and healthy. I've had braces twice in my life, so they were already straight and aligned as well. Many of the other dentists I had gone to were trying to sell me on a full set of veneers, but I wanted to keep my natural smile/teeth but just achieve a more improved look with less gum when I smiled and an even gum line. That's exactly what I got and I'm so happy I found him because I decided to switch over to them as my regular dentist now. Their service, professionalism and expertise is so worth it! The fresh baked cookies don't hurt either Lol! It smells amazing in there everytime! The thing is there are many well trained, knowledgeable doctors out there who can give you what you want, but the ethics and moral character are hard to find. He was more focused on what I wanted, what made me happy than achieving the perfect smile (unless that's what I wanted of course). Your smile is an investment and at the end of the day you're the one paying. You want to be sure it's the look you want and are happy with it and also find a dentist who can provide their expertise, knowledge and opinion without feeling like their trying to sell you on the most expensive procedures. He kept my well-being at the forefront and I can't ask for anything more. He made me feel safe and heard and that's what won me over. Dr. Scott Rice actually cares and listened. I trust him with my care. He's a rare gem! During the procedure, I was involved every step of the way. Asking for my opinion, telling me what they were doing, asking if I was okay. Answered all of my questions. Healing was pretty fast, no complications. I had gum contour and composite veneers done. If it's not already obvious, I highly recommend coming to Rice dentistry for all your dental needs. I'm beyond happy with them and will continue to come back and recommend them to anyone asking. Someone please tell me how a well established dental office with pleasant and amazing staff is telling me I needed a root canal done and then some fillings, yet the new dentist I go to tells me I have one tiny cavity which would be dealt with after my deep cleaning?
