    Combo Dinner
    Valerie N.

We did the dinner combo, which includes ribs, bbq chicken, pulled pork bbq, and a few sides (hush puppies, fries, coleslaw). We were asked if those sides were ok, which we said yes, so I don't know if you can easily change them out or change them for a charge. We particularly liked the ribs from this selection. I also loved their Mac and cheese and hush puppies. The food came out real fast too. It's a great deal for what you get!

On my way home from the beach, I was craving something we don't have at home. Babe said, "BBQ," so I pulled up Yelp and wow, it did not disappoint! We were literally 12 minutes away, hopped off at the next exit, and walked right in. Awww man... everything was magnificent! We thoroughly enjoyed: Jumbo beef hot dog, Combo dinner - pulled pork, pulled chicken, 1/4 rack of ribs, fries, coleslaw, and hushpuppies, Baked beans with sliced hot dogs, Southern-style collard greens, and of course, sweet tea! The flavors were on point, portions generous, and you could taste that pit-smoked goodness (yep, the smoker sits right outside the restaurant so you know it's real!). We chose to sit outside because the inside was freezing, but we didn't mind. Watching diners come and go nonstop just proved this place is a hit. I can't wait to go back ... trust me, it's worth the visit!

Old school BBQ Joint with amazing cleanliness (swear every inch of that place was being cleaned by the minute)! Always drove through the area to get to BG, but never stopped by here until now. Really enjoyed the jumbo sandwiches (pulled pork) with the tangy & sweet BBQ sauce. The potato salad very tasty as well with fresh celery! But wow, the hot sauce was INCREDIBLE. I will be back to buy containers of it! Topped everything off with a Pepsi (in really nice reusable plastic cups) and a coconut custard pie. The brownie, banana pudding, and baby back ribs looked really yummy too for another time. There were plenty of picnic spaces too.

One of the best and freshest cheeseburgers I've ever had in my life.

Hidden Gem in My Hometown! Although I was born and raised in Williamsburg, Virginia, I never used to visit Pierce's Pitt Bar-B-Que because I thought they only sold pork products--and I don't eat pork. But to my delight, I recently discovered that they offer much more, including delicious cheeseburgers, beef brisket, and both grilled and rotisserie-style chicken. Let me tell you--the cheeseburgers are out of this world! They take about 15 minutes to cook, and they are worth every single second of the wait. Ever since I tried one a few months ago, I make it a point to stop by once or twice a week just to get that burger. My nephew even said it's the best burger he's ever had--better than McDonald's or Burger King--and he's not easy to impress! My mother is also a fan. She loves the barbecue pork sandwiches. Sometimes she buys them by the pint or quart to eat throughout the week. When we go together, she always makes sure to get two super doc sandwiches to take home. She's hard to please too, but if I mention Pierce's, she and my nephew are suddenly dressed and ready to go! Let's talk sides--because Pierce's doesn't play around. They have macaroni and cheese, French fries, baked beans, onion rings, potato salad, Brunswick stew, and more. Every single one is flavorful and satisfying. They also offer fresh salads and dinner plates that are great for when you want a full, well-rounded meal. And the portions? Generous! The combo meals come with plenty of food--especially the fries--and though $15 might seem steep at first glance, you really get your money's worth. It's filling, flavorful, and totally satisfying. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. It almost feels like a scene out of Happy Days, like eating at Arnold's. The restaurant is always clean, including the bathrooms, and the staff is consistently friendly and helpful. You can tell it's run well and with pride--and it's been around a long time. And I can't forget the desserts! The banana pudding, chocolate chip cookies, cakes, pies, and especially the thick, fudgy brownies are all amazing. Whether you're a local like me or just passing through Williamsburg--or visiting nearby attractions like Busch Gardens, Water country usa, colonial Williamsburg or Great Wolf Lodge--do yourself a favor and stop by Pierce's. You won't regret it!

Excellent food! Price is reasonable. Very crowded so you know it's good! Service was swift and the ambiance is clean and welcoming. Love their BBQ

The brisket is very good; hushpuppies are yummy. I found the pulled pork sandwich to be chewy, not tender. The slice of lemon pound cake for dessert seemed on the older side. This spot is popular, brimming with people, all ages. Clearly, it has a loyal following. At peak times, there can be insufficient spaces for parking. My first time here, I couldn't turn into the lot due to an overflow of vehicles. The staff is friendly and competent.

We've heard great reviews on Pierce's from friends, so we chose to give it a try since we were in the area this weekend. We liked how there was ample parking, especially since we heard that Sundays draws the crowds! Inside has booth seating and there are several picnic tables outside if you want to enjoy the warm and sunny weather. We liked how friendly the staff was since this was our first visit. Place your order at the counter and your number is called by a pleasant voice when your order is ready. No worry, the food was ready quickly. The tasty full rack of ribs was tender and fall-off-the-bone yummy. The crinkle cut fries were good and crispy, but we added some salt since we prefer a little more salt. The potato salad was very good. And the Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy! We're tickled that our soda fountain drinks each came with a reusable plastic souvenir cup! If you're in the mood for a tasty meal, Pierce's Pitt offers dine in and order online for pick up. The barbecue aroma when you pull up to park welcomes you and lets you know you're in for something good to eat!

Now as for the dogs, the two guys that had the coneys were happy with them, although one was hoping for a little more spice from the chili, but it was by no means bad. The burnt ends dog was said to be pretty freaking good. As for the American dog, we'll that was a different story. It wasn't a bad dog, but it tasted like it had been boil cooked and not cooked on the griddle. Additionally, it wasn't really that warm. I guess warm is a good description for it. It would have been better if it was hot and you could see some cooking marks on it. Alas, it was and had neither. But again, it wasn't a bad dog, but it could have been much better. The onion rings were pretty tasty though, as were the funnel cake fries and crinkle cut fries. This night was Wednesday, so it was trivia night. At 6:30. At about 6:00 people really started to come in, and by 6:30, the place was packed. Guess trivia night is a big hit...
