This place is a little hard to find but there was nothing that we could improve about it. I had the chicken paprikash with a couple mushroom pierogies. She got the Hungarian poutine with a pumpkin habanero pierogi. All were tremendous. We will definitely be back here soon. We really liked the retro atmosphere and the service was very inviting and hospital. On a Saturday afternoon this place was very kid-friendly. We were also happy with the beer selection. Do it if you haven't. read more

After reaching out to me to apologize, I decided to try Pierogi Mountain our again through the Postmates app. I again, was impressed and am glad that the area has this vegan option. My vegan sausage was super spicy, almost too spicy for me. I loved the kraut with it. Speaking of kraut, the kraut balls were AMAZING. So amazing. The pierogi were good, they could have been better. My husband has NEVER had pierogi!!!! It's not much of a thing in Southern California so I wasn't surprised but since we were visiting Ohio and they had places for pierogi I had to get some for us. I found Pierogi Mountain online and we headed that way to find they were not open inside and that you had to only do take out. So we ordered, the food was ready super fast, and we took the food back to our hotel. We got a variety, like 3-5 each of all the different pierogi on the menu. All were amazing but the classic cheddar is always my favorite. My husband loved all of them as well and was happy about his first pierogi experience. read more

We ordered for pick up on a Sunday night. I got 2 cheesey potato pierogis with haluski and my bf got chicken paprikash with fries. I wasn't fond of the haluski nor my bf of the paprikash, but that could just be me never having authentic food and he doesn't like mushrooms. So long time customer here- trying to pinpoint what's changed. Variety of pierogi offerings has gotten smaller, less diverse, staff seemed off, chicken paprikash was missing the famous big juicy carrots. Another kitchen mishap in my food, almost swallowed a 6" long piece of stringy plastic - not so much wrap but like the edge of a bag that was sliced open. I get it that happens but the staff was not totally apologetic. And then, what's become of Fiona's famous desserts. That was really the final nail here. read more

The pierogis were good. The dough is just right. Not too thick or thin. Classic cheese and potato. The corn with old bay seasoning tasted just like old bay. You better like Old Bay! We also had a side salad (very good) and the Cider pot roast. The pot roast is very flavorful. read more

I been trying to order out since we have been on lockdown to help out local business since I work in healthcare and still working. I been craving some pierogis and looked in Yelp and landed on this gem. Oh boy I didn't regret ordering the potato cheddar pierogis. I ordered 10 for my family to try for pickup. Since we are on lockdown you can't just go in to grab your order, so I don't know how it looks inside. I had to call in for them to bring out my order. My family tried it and WOW we loved it. The pierogis were so stuffed and blasting with flavor. The dough itself was thick in soft, the proportion of filling to dough was perfect. I can't wait to order more from here. read more

Definitely not your Mama's pierogi. To be clear, the staff was WONDERFUL, very jovial, and accommodating, but the food fell short. When I ordered pierogi at two bucks a pop, I anticipated generously-filled, nicely-sized dumplings. They were neither. They were underfilled and small. Ten dollars for a dozen would have been a fair price for these.) The most exciting thing about the sampling I ordered was the color, but color and flavor aren't the same (lick a red crayon to learn more). In fairness, the filling was good, but there was so little of it that the flavors were muted. The menu touts exciting options, but they don't translate as exciting in the eating. If I were offering advice, I would suggest slightly bigger, hand-pinched pierogi with more filling. Boil them and serve them with onions in a dish of melted butter. When I think of the pierogi I had growing up in a Russian home, I think of fat dumplings of flavor that comfort the soul and clog the arteries. That's not the deal here. In short: Pierogi Mountain (really? MOUNTAIN?) is over-priced and under-performing. read more

For how unappealing the exterior was I knew the food had to be amazing and it was!! I got a plate full of food for $6. My friends and I drove by twice before figuring out we were at the right spot. They have a sign, but honestly the building looks abandoned. Once inside you order at the window and they bring your food out to you. It's a very relaxed environment. And the staff were very nice. I ordered the pork sauasage with kraut and a broccoli and gouda pierogi. All pierogies come with sour cream and the best carmelized onions you will ever have!! If you go anywhere in Columbus this has to be the place! Service was amazing I placed an order to go and it was ready in 15 minutes. I ordered one of each flavor pierogi the vegan Mac and cheese and the sauerkraut balls. My favorite flavor pierogi had to be the classic potato cheddar. Tasty pierogi but they also have other delicious menu items like the schnitzel sandwiches and fries. They also have great drink prices and a cute little patio in the front. There are lots of different pierogi flavors you won't find anywhere else! read more

As a frequent favorite of my family, quirky and "cool" restaurants tend to draw us. So, when you add a vibrant environment and pierogis, were sold. We started out with the potato and cheese, mushroom and potato, and lime and potato. Here's my opinion on the food- Beginning with the lime and potato, it seemingly tasted of dish soap- not my style. Next, the potato and cheese and the potato and mushroom. Not bad, would have been better if they well seasoned and hot. May have been the time of day, but the rushed service resulted in unsatisfactory food. I understand that Guy Fieri dined here, but it wasn't my favorite. read more

I ordered the Bacon, Apple & Gorgonzola (Pierogi), Vegan Potato, Sauerkraut & Mushroom (Pierogi), and Vegan Sauerkraut Balls. Everything was fresh and delicious. The sauerkraut balls were by far my favorite, I would highly recommend ordering them. I gave it four stars because I thought the pierogis were very good, but did not compare to the best I have tasted. I was hoping the pierogis would be stuffed slightly more, as some of the flavor was lost in the pierogi due to lack of filling. Maybe I have lofty standards, but it just wasn't quite at a 5-star level for me. With that being said, I would still gladly eat here again as I appreciate the niche dining opportunity it allows! I rarely leave reviews good or bad but I felt compelled to do it in this situation because so many things went wrong with my first experience here. I have ZERO clue how this place gets good reviews. First, their customer service is terrible... on so many levels. I wanted to order pierogis for my husband's birthday dinner - he had been craving them. The online store wasn't able to take online orders. So I called over there and it rang and rang until finally I called after 12:30 (the website says opening time is 11 a.m.) and they answered saying that they "opened late today." Then they told me that they couldn't take orders over the phone and I had to put it through Door Dash or Grubhub. That annoyed me b/c I think it's ridiculous they can't take orders over the phone and lacks customer service, however, that alone didn't deter me and I went ahead and placed my order through Door Dash. They also told me their dining room was not open that day at all (not even for dinner) and they would only be doing take out orders. I go over there around 7 p.m. to pick up my order and the place was hoppin. I'm sure that the girl I spoke with earlier just didn't know they were going to be open but I mean, that's the problem - seems like it's very chaotic there - why would an employee be under the impression that the dining room wasn't going to be open - I feel like that's sort of an important detail to know if you work at a restaurant. Anyway, I pick up my food and get it home and I had ordered several cheddar and potato pierogis for my kids and my husband and a few of the other flavors. I open up the bag and there is a note that says "Sorry, out of cheddar potato pierogis, replaced with mushroom." First, I got no notice of this via text/email after putting in an order with Door Dash hours earlier (I put the order in at 3:45 for a pick up at 6:45). If it had just been 1 or 2 pierogis, it might have been a bit different, but I ordered 8 cheddar and potato pierogis for 4 people. First off, a pierogi place running out of cheddar and potato pierogis at 6:30 p.m. is like a hamburger place running out of hamburger. Second off, I personally love mushrooms, but my kids don't like them, so 8 mushroom pierogis to replace ones for my kids aren't doing me any good. I feel like at $16 and for that many pierogis, they probably should have reached out and asked how I wanted to handle it instead of taking the liberty to replace them with another flavor. Their pierogis are just okay and certainly not worth all the trouble I went through to get them. I have no idea what is going on with their mushroom "stroganoff." It legit tastes like spicy Chef Boyardee. If they are going to keep serving it, they should probably change the name of it because it is NOTHING like real stroganoff. It literally blows my mind that so many people raved about how good it is - apparently these people don't know what real stroganoff is supposed to taste like. I just cannot fathom how this place gets good reviews - with that many things wrong, it cannot just be me who has had this bad of an experience. Suffice it to say, I won't return here. I really wanted to like it. It's a cute enough place with an adorable patio, but they need to get their s*** together for real. read more

Oh yes!!! Thank you Yelp for this gem of a find. Came here last night after searching for something late night. It's inside a bar with the area to order when you walk in. We had a variety of pierogis to try- the sausage and leek, broccoli cheddar, one with grits and bacon and one with potato. All were delicious and plump with filling. This is one of my absolute favorite places in Columbus. It is an interesting location inside Cafe Bourbon Street, a dive bar. I've gone a few times when live music has been playing! The pierogi are DELICIOUS and a great price. I go for the vegan options, of which there are always multiple. I especially love when they're serving vegan mac'n'cheese as a special. They have vegan and non-vegan pierogi, sausages, and specials like various burgers or mac'n'cheese. The pierogi are served with sour cream (request a vegan version!) and onions that are caramelized to perfection... I highly recommend checking it out. read more

Interesting place. Walking distance from the museum of art downtown. If I were a vegetarian I'd probably give 5 stars. For me the food was a little bland. There are some meat options but definitely caters more to the vegetarian crowd. There is sausage on the menu which was alright but nothing to write home about. read more

Crushing it at Pierogi Mountain! What a selection and the menu changes every week. Absolutely can't beat happy hour on tuesdays all day! Their chicken Paprikash is one of the best things I've put my mouth on. The Beef Kimchi and butternut squash pierogis are my favorite right now. Leah F has hooked me up a few times and she is fantastic, knowledgeable and a consistent smiling face! Enjoy! read more

First time having Pierogi Mountain. I had them delivered, so I don't know how the restaurant atmosphere is. There is a huge selection of pierogi to choose from. The dough was nice, consistency wise. The filling on 3 types I tried wEre all excellent. There was the slightest taste of butter burned on the grill. Not bad, they were still good, but this was the single drawback. It's nice that you can get them individually so you can try several different tyy ones. I'll have Pierogi Mountain again, but I'll try dining in next time. read more

I just experienced bad customer service for the first time at this place. Someone named Christian answered the phone to take my take out order and he said "could you hold for a couple of minutes" I proceeded to hold and he never came back to the phone, I was on hold for 15 minutes. I drove to the location on grant ave and Christian proceeded to ask me what can he help me with and he was obviously drunk at the bar and admitted to forgetting that I was on the phone and apologized. I proceeded to order and he was rude, rushing me and slamming a menu in my face when I ordered onion pierogis for my mom and said "our pierogi menu changes all the time we don't have that" I called my mom to see what she wanted and he couldn't wait for me to finish my order so he gave it to someone else. I proceeded to wait another 30 minutes for my food and they didn't offer anything for my inconvenience or their lack of courtesy. I hope they can stay sober while working and I hope they don't inconvenience anyone and then be rude about it. Fries were not done all the way and my vegan snitszel was overcooked and now I'm just sad and crying. Hope this helps. I pray no one ever experiences this kind of rude treatment. You never know what people are going through. read more

I was looking forward to some authentic Polish food. I don't know anything about the background of this establishment, but I got the feeling that someone's grandma was rolling in her grave when her family recipes were "modernized" so poorly. The classics were OK-ish. The modern, fusion adaptations were not. The texture and flavor of the actual noodles were outstanding. Unfortunately they were accompanied by boring pierogi fillings, things that shouldn't try to be in pierogis, or otherwise failed attempts at recipes. The haluski was not good - like if someone said "this is bland" and the cook added black pepper in a continuous cycle until the diner gave up due to spiciness and the cook declared victory. The paprikash was more like a rice-free Polish curry than what grandma used to make. The sausage was forgettable. Actually, the one interesting thing was the goat cheese pierogi. The service was friendly and hospitable. The ambiance needed a bit of work. The beer selection was decent. Overall, I would say to save your money, give up your dreams of delicious Polish food, and go across town for the classic German food instead. I wish I had. read more
