My friend ordered the French Onion Soup at lunch today and when it came there was a dead cockroach in it. We asked for the manager. He whisked it away without an apology and never came back. My friend went to see the manager and the owner inside the restaurant. Again no apology, but they said they were planning to deduct the soup from the bill. When he suggested that was not an adequate response/compensation, he was told we needed to leave. We were thrown out of the restaurant for the audacity of complaining about a rodent in our food. Look at the real estate listings in the window of the place next door.* They don't even sell houses around here, just "compounds." And they are all $15 million. And I must say, when homes are $15 million, it really makes a $22 burger seem much more reasonable. That argument aside, if you are going to sell a burger for $22: 1. It must be good. 2. It should come with bacon, cheese, and excellent fries at no extra charge. Pierre's seems to understand this, and they even threw in a nice mixed green salad for good measure. There are pros and cons to dining at Pierre's that I feel warrant giving it a three star rating. Starting with the pros, the restaurant is in a convenient location on Main Street in the middle of Bridgehampton, has outdoor seating which is pet-friendly, and they give you a small chocolate with your drink. On the other hand, what did not impress me is that it has become pricier over the years and I personally think it is not necessarily worth the cost, at least for their casual breakfast/brunch which we had at $25+ per person. For a high tier French restaurant which this place seems like it strives to be, I do not think that it lives up to its name. read more

The owner is rude, the food is over-priced and my husband almost lost a tooth because of nails in the potatoes. Don't ask how that could be possible. He is also rude directly to customers and his staff. I would say he is borderline racist. I would not write such a review unless I felt this strongly. They control most of the sidewalk as one is driving past Bridge, from Montauk. Their waiters have pushed and shoved people walking past and in general, if you want to be "cool" and put up with bad service, an owner who is very rude and doesn't even get his English expressions right, then head on there. Cockaroaches in the soup. Lousy service. If that what you like by alls means go. But why?

This review is about the dine-in restaurant and their to-go shop. Restaurant: Given how crowded this restaurant always seems to be, it was a let down. First, in terms of COVID precautions, they are definitely lacking. Some waiters wore their masks in a way that exposed their noses. They were not utilizing single use menus. The sidewalk tables were positioned such that pedestrians could walk inches away from you and several of them were not wearing masks at all. Second, while the food was good, it was not even close to being worth the price. The tuna tartar was probably the best item. The Bar du Pacifique was good, but not outstanding. To-go shop: Similar to the restaurant, it was clear they were not taking COVID precautions seriously. Despite a sign listing all of the measures they were taking, they did not follow through on most of them. They stated on their sign that they would wipe down the register and sanitize hands between customers, and that was not carried out. Masks were worn in a way that exposed theirs nose and mouths. They used bare hands to touch the pastries. When they put the lid on my coffee, they placed their bare palm over the drinking hole to click the top into place. In terms of the food and coffee, the croissants were only okay and were very small and dense (I prefer them more airy) and were not worth the $5 price. The baguette was very hard and incredibly dense (I bought it early in the morning, so it wasn't just because it had been sitting there all day). The coffee was mediocre and it seemed like they added some sort of sweetener to my latte without asking. All in all, I will not be coming back to the to-go shop and would only go back to the restaurant if I felt like overpaying. read more

I come for the Winters to Bridgehampton and like many I enjoy, on the odd occasion, authentic fine dining but it was not to be found here. What one has is a well situated restaurant with clean white table cloths and that is where it ends. The experience started off with pseudo French service, cold food that was supposed to be hot and a bottle of French wine warm when it was supposed to be cold. The bill ... well it's the Hamptons so expect to pay (a lot) but don't expect to leave feeling you had a fun time for your money - you most likely wont. read more

It's the place to be on a Saturday in July. We dined here with our friends Brian and Kim. The sardines were terrific - not something I typically order but I really enjoyed them. The flatbread appetizer was light and excellent. Main course I enjoyed the duck done medium rare as recommended by our waiter Harrison. It was delicious with the sauce. This was a unique eating experience - very Real Housewives. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The whole restaurant is white, the decor, the uniforms - everything. They also have a young woman walking around the restaurant modeling the latest fashions from local merchants. Just what you want to see while eating, a gorgeous, young, skinny woman who clearly doesn't eat anything served at this restaurant. Pierres used to be my favorite restaurant in Bridgehampton. What a shame the owner refuses to acknowledge and react to all the poor comments attributed to his establishment. Yes it's overpriced but isn't everything here?? We were quickly seated right outside the front door and enjoyed the lively music and people watching opportunity. This meal almost felt like we were also getting some entertainment value out of it. We started with some delicious warm bread. I decided to go with the linguine with lobster. The pasta was cooked well but didn't have much flavor. Luckily there were huge chunks of lobster that made up for it. My husband got the steak cooked perfectly medium rare. We ended our meal with the panna cotta. Almost $200 for our meal for 2 so probably wouldn't of this every night but overall I thought we had fun and for the most part, food was good (please add a bit more flavor to the linguine!). read more

Ordered the gazpacho soup which had a one spice element, cumin -- no other flavors came through and of course they charged $22 for raw vegetables!! After they graciously took it back, I order the Niçoise salad which came out 4 minutes -- how is it possible to cook and prepare a fresh salad and serve it in less than 4 minutes. The potatoes had no taste, ice cold and the fish was fishy! Another HUGE fail!! When i asked to send it back, the waiter and owner told me I had no taste in food, he was not taking it off my bill and would call the cops if I didn't pay. He then cursed at my friend! While we had 4 drinks and was willing to pay more than $100 for our drinks he threatened us and made me feel worthless! While I would never say anything awful, this man deserve to be closed and take a class on how to be respectful to those who pay his salary and rent! I recently had a reservation for a party of 4 at Pierre's. Unfortunately, I had to cancel due to someone in my party testing positive for covid. Due to the fact that we were all near this person the days prior, we decided it was best to cancel the reservation in an effort to not expose the restaurant staff and other guests. I called the restaurant the morning of and then emailed Pierre himself - he emailed me back the cancellation policy which states if you have a doctors note regarding covid, you will not be charged for cancelling. When I told him I had that, he completely stopped responding. Because of wanting to protect Pierre's staff and guests, I was charged $200 for deciding to cancel this reservation. I have a been a frequent customer here for many years and will not return. It says a lot about a business that cares more about a party of 4 than the health and safety of its staff and customers. Super disappointing. There are many more accommodating restaurants close-by that I will give my business to instead of Pierre's. read more

Do not eat here unless you want to be harassed by the rudest owner I have ever encountered. After being charged $6 for the tiniest piece of bread. We then had to ask for more fire on the raw streak. After waiting an egregious amount of time, we approached the hostess (who is the owner) who said he "wasn't running a charity". After we paid the check and left 18% he came out to read the check and screamed "you don't tip my waitress?!" and continued to yell at us. Had brunch a few days ago at Pierre's. The food was overpriced and average. Pierre however was extra: rude, aggressive and confrontational. Pierre is under the impression he runs a Michelin awarded restaurant in the south of France rather than Long Island serving overpriced scrambled eggs to privileged whites with Mexicans in the back scrubbing pots (no disrespect to the staff or Mexicans but rather gratitude for the hard work they do to make a restaurant a seamless experience). The cold salmon is prepped in house and is perfect. Would love if you could order as smaller side. The food is fantastic, the service excellent and fortunately while expensive it is not as outrageous as some of the other places in the region (nothing is cheap in the Hamptons).
