Where do I begin? Bread without bread plates. Filet without a steak knife. Soup without spoons. And the food... for that price? Awful. We had two orders of scallops and I'm pretty sure the veggies were canned, not fresh. The creme brûlée came out cold. The filet was sliced in two! Why?! That wasn't a filet cut.. Went to Pierre's for the first time while on vacation in the keys and can say I wasn't disappointed. I ordered a French onion soup and the rack of lamb while other people in my party ordered the filet and lobster. The rack of lamb was amazing and tasted like butter and the soup was a perfect start. While observing everyone else at my table they all were just as pleased. For desert we tried the mango cheesecake, the Nutella crepe, and crème brûlée. My favorite was the cheesecake! I've arrived in Islamorada for vacation, Pierres was my top choice for dinner reservation. So I'll preface this by saying I've only been here for dinner once so my review is from that experience, 7:45pm Monday night. The hostess was sweet and accommodating and offered to switch our indoor reservation to an outside table. Outside table is prime seating. So we had a short delay before an outdoor table was available. We ordered wine at the bar and took them over to the beach and sat by the beach fireplaces. Before we could finish our wine the table was available. We were greeted with warm bread and butter. Our waitress was kind. I ordered the charred octopus and sea bass. The octopus was great, the chorizo portion a little salty. Next, the sea bass was on of the best dishes I've ever eaten. Three elements which I love, papaya salad, braised oxtail and the sea bass itself. This dish really hit the spot. 10/10 would recommend read more

I would title this review "Tourist Trap" Having owned a home in Islamorada for years, we had always meant to try Pierre's, but had not heard good things about the food. I went there tonight with an open mind. Wanting an early, light meal, I was very hopeful when they sat me in the bar, as the restaurant doesn't open until 6. The restaurant has a lovely setting in what appears to be an old bay front home, with a large beach out to the bay set with palm trees and beach chairs. Idyllic. The bar is filled with comfy seating areas, including couches, chairs and bench seats. Wonderful, I thought. Great place to bring our friends and chill. This is a cocktails only place. If you can't serve an even borderline acceptable charcuterie board you will never have the opportunity to serve me dinner. Stale crackers and bread. Unrecognizable cheeses. Cheap meats. For $45. Which I would have no problem paying if it was for quality product. And how does the server not even ask if anything's wrong when he takes away an item that is 2/3 untouched? It means this establishment is not accustomed to serving repeat customers. Hence. Tourist trap. Go for a cocktail and the pretty sunset. read more

Took my wife to Pierre's for her birthday. Had a great table on the porch with a fantastic view of the sun set. I ordered something different for the Keys, chicken. Just had dinner at Pierre's and it was fantastic. As others have said, don't judge from the street side, its set far back from the street and looks like nothing. The inside of the building, the beach view is fantastic. More importantly--its a GREAT restaurant. We were there for our anniversary and as foodies, my wife and I suffer from the fact we've had some pretty crazy meals so many places disappoint us either on the food or service--NOT Pierre's! Food quality, prep, and taste were as good as I have had in a major city. Staff---SOOOO friendly and professional. It is a beautiful place, great bar, stunning grounds, etc. I'd go back just to hang out at the bar, or on the back porch overlooking the water. But the food is missing something to be called 5 star. I visited with a party of 14 for a birthday party. The ambience of the restaurant was very nice, but very dark. The food was beautifully prepared and presented, but every single item I ordered and sampled of others, was a bit off because it was terribly under seasoned. I found myself salting everything, even the dinner rolls. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly, but needed salt, or herbed butter. The ceviche had too much citrus, and again needed salt. The seafood curry was delicious, especially after I salted it. You get the idea... The gratin dauphinois was my favorite. It was a side, but it was so tasty I wished there was more on the plate. Given the price point, I was hopeful for more, including the service. I understand a large group can be tough, but I was not once asked if I needed anything else. I would have ordered at least one more glass of wine, if not two, if I didn't have to keep looking for an opportunity to flag down a server. By the time I was able to ask for what I needed beverage wise, I was too far into my meal to bother anymore. read more

Went for dinner with my colleagues on a Saturday night, outdoors are magical walking on the sand by the ocean the breeze invites you to relax and enjoy dinning experience. Once inside you get immersed into the West Indies decor to start indulging with cocktails and appetizers, place is a little noisy but still able to get a loudly conversation with your group. We ordered pumping flowers, seared octopus, burrata trio, meatballs to pair our cocktails. Our main order was catch pf the day (monk snapper) server in a buttery lemon sauce with baby potatoes and beans, we also ordered steak and chicken breast, sides comes delicate packed on red containers smashed potatoes and fries. For dessert a local favorite: key lime pie (this is out of this world) a "must try" creek brûlée was about average so stock to key lime pie and finish with a shot of espresso coffee. After dinner you can walk on the beach that is illuminated with torch's and just lay on the lounge chairs by the ocean. A dinning experience to try if you are at the upper keys. read more

One of the worst dinner experiences I have had maybe ever. Been coming to the keys 2-3 times a year for the past 15 years and have never had a more disappointing meal. The dinner took 1:45 minutes, during that time drinks sat empty even after speaking to the hostess, the server and the manager. Chicken came out after all that time undercooked. Steak and frites was also ordered and we were told after the long wait the steak was dropped and they had to remake it. Manager came over apologized stated he was getting it fixed. After 15 minute steak comes out cold: cold as in like it was sitting in the refrigerator. Manager comes back over and asked if it came out to satisfaction and didn't even realize it was sent back for being cold. Horrible management, service, and over priced in comparison to all the other good places to eat in the area. read more

I'm surprised there are not more reviews for this! Pierre's and Morada Bay Cafe are owned by the same owners. Pierre's is their fine dining restaurant. We only took pictures of the property. It is one of the most beautiful settings in the entire Florida Keys. But coming from New York and being world traveled we were less impressed with Pierre's than with Morada Bay. It may be just that we have been around. But Morada Bay to this day remains one of the best meals I have ever had in the lower 48! Pierre's food was less impressive to us, more standard upscale food. Nothing too adventurous or unusual like Morada Bay which just had magic in every bite! But still very good. Pierre's shines with it's setting and service. read more

This is one of my favorite all-time restaurants. I've eaten there on three occasions. the first two (two nights in a row -- we couldn't resist) were simply incredible and have a very special place for me and my GF. The service and food quality are some of the best to be had in the state of Florida, and then add to it the fact that it's in a beautiful and romantic location make it a knock-it-out-of-the-park winner. If you plan it well, you can get there early enough to have a drink and watch the sunset from their beach, and then have a wonderful dinner inside. Take your time and enjoy the entire experience. Went to Pierre's for their Valentine's Day prix fixe and had an amazing time! We thought the atmosphere was beautiful and both had great food! The tuna tataki was perfectly seared and the rose wine pairing was excellent. The next course was salad which was mediocre and flavorless, I should have got the crab vichyssoise which was delightful! The main lobster with the coconut sauce was worth the whole meal, it was phenomenal and the filet mignon was cooked perfectly! The key lime tart was definitely better than the chocolate temptation cake! Overall the experience was fantastic and the food did not disappoint! Slightly over priced, $467 for two with wine pairings. If you are looking for a romantic way to end your vacation, Pierre's is definitely it! Pierre's is the perfect place for a romantic dinner. We sat upstairs on the terrace and were able to see the sunset which occurred around 8 PM. The food was great as well. We had the cheese platter to start which was great. For our main course we had the New York strip which was cooked just right and it came with delicious mash potatoes. We also order a side of creamed spinach which we did not like at all ( I'd pass on that). Lastly for dessert we had the key-lime pie which was amazing! The only reason I won't give it five stars is because when we arrived the hostess could not find our reservation and instead of just seating us (which there was plenty of tables) she sat everyone else who was behind us before seating us. Our dining experience - When we first sat down it seemed to be a nice restaurant. Little did we realize the menu is very limited and very over priced for the quality of the food. My friend got the steak and fries (60$ or so), he hated it they did not cook it right. So we sent it back and they brought it back out and it was even worst. The server would be missing for periods of time. Not a 5 star restaurant at all. They need to be more on point when their menu is so selective and pricey. They need to clean the tables off in between courses. Very upset, they did not even do a birthday song for my friend. Just trying to help you out, do not dine here! read more

Ordered cheese board... had to inquire as to where it was after 20 + minutes and got a charcuterie board. Sent it back and canceled. Entrees finally came. Chicken was good, wife ordered Lobster Curry. Definitely was NOT lobster, a meaty white fish like Monkfish. Left restaurant and emailed the next day and the day after... no response. If I could give 10 stars I would. On vacation for 5 days and came here twice! The food is amazing with a tremendous amount of thought and talent placed into every dish. The servers are passionate and their descriptions are so detailed that you can practically taste the food before it even arrives. Sonny the food and beverage manager is so attentive and yet he is multi tasking their sister location simultaneously. You can tell just by speaking to him for a few minutes how passionate he is about his job. Chance was our server on this night. Steve was the bartender/ server the first night. Come and dine here once and you will see why I can't stop raving about this place. Lastly, the view!! Sit on the patio or take your drinks out by the Oceanside beach chairs they have complete with fire pits. Truly a gem!! read more

The one star is for the view, which is beautiful at sunset. The rest of our experience was very disappointing. We went to Pierre's twice during our last visit. The first evening we sat inside the bar area and when my wife sat on the couch it was soaking. There was water dripping from the ceiling and she sat in a puddle basically. The manager barely apologized and then it became clear that he was aware that there was a leak as the pillow had been turned over and the couch had extensive water damage that had been disguised. We ended up pushing the couch away from the leak with no help from staff. Then we proceeded to eat our very average yet very expensive dinner while some extremely intoxicated drunks sang at the top of their lungs for 30 minutes. Manager did nothing-basically hid in the kitchen. Next visit we decided to sit on the beach to avoid a simile indoor experience. We ordered two $300 bottles of wine and spent the entire time having a football thrown over our heads by 3 kids while their family, seated near us, laughed and cheered. Finally moved away from them closer to the water to find a group of people playing their own music from a portable speaker and drinking from a cooler they had brought. There is absolutely no management to speak of at this supposedly fine dining restaurant. We will never return. read more

Great atmosphere, very romantic. We had a great meal, the burrata and octopus was amazing-very flavorful. The gnocchi was heavy but also delicious my husband had the lobster and scallops which he said was great, although served over beans which were too many. I wish we came at sunset although the bar downstairs was a great place to grab a drink while you wait for a table. kind of pricey for the keys but it's fine dining and that's also hard to find in this area. The place is nice - sunset view is awesome if you catch it right, but the waiter does not know a red from a white.... service was late and they are too busy having everyone working visit friends at the bar..... you also have to deal with drunk people getting drunker in front of you on the little beach there.... I had a wonderful dinner here with my girlfriend after a day of diving. The special was a thick cut, 16oz Kansas Steak (aka NY Strip), and it was perfectly cooked to medium rare. Came for a birthday party that coincided with the monthly full moon party. Price fixe dinner included your wristband for entrance in and out of the air conditioned restaurant in order to use the bathrooms and order from an actual bar vs outdoor party bars. Food was good but not sure of it's value since we were taken out ( awesome!). When you enter you notice a pleasant fragrance that reminded me of Henri Bendel cassis candles. Set the tone for whatever your full moon night may bring. Beautiful decor with huge, ornately carved wooden structures throughout the dimly (romantic) lit restaurant. Good looking crowd that was eager to celebrate the night. Menu included and appetizer, entree and salad. Everyone seemed happy with their selections, most of us had seafood curry or cowboy steak. Seafood curry was perfectly creamy with a nice amount of heat. Served with forbidden rice, all of it spilling out of a half of a coconut. After eating the stew we were able to get the coconut cracked to munch on. Wine mark ups were ridiculous so we decided to forgo a bottle. List was extensive however. Slow, very slow service, but it was friendly. If you are looking for an elegant night out in Islamorada this is probably your place. Also a good home base for full moon festivities unless it's really expensive. If so just pay the cover for the party! read more

One of the most romantic restaurant..ever.. Life music bar downstairs.. Fine dining upstairs. Outdoor balcony is the best. The only thing is you hear life music from morada bay cafe if you sit outside. This is more casual then the music playing inside the restaurant. We had the signature dish Florida Keys Hogfish Meuniere with broccoli, from specials , snapper on bokchoy and coconut rice (Asian flare) ... Blue Crab Vichyssoise ( cold soup) ...grilled Mahi with Dried Apricot and Pistachio Basmati Rice, Coconut Orange Curry Cream, Florida Orange Arugula Salad and grilled lobster.
