Well after perrussing their retched menu and trying to think of something that didn't instantly make me vomit I signaled the waitress over to receive my order. I decided upon the "cheese pizza." As I awaited my food I sat pondering why I had ever waltzed into an establishment so....how do I put this.....insufferable...yes that's the word. My food arrived soon after and I wasn't even provided the correct utensils and when I asked where my pre dinner charcuterie board was, the nimrod of a waitress looked puzzled. FILTHY SWINE I exclaimed as I took my first weary bite of the food that these small town trogladytes considered pizza. It was.....mediocre at best, as I chewed the mess of a meal in my mouth my wits finally came about and I realized....THIS RESTRAUNT IS NOT UP TO MY STANDARDS. My husband, daughter and I love Perrotti's. The staff is super super nice and they have great thin pizza. The restaurant is in an old general store which we love because it's not like sitting in a cafeteria, like many restaurants. They also have Coke in a bottle, always a plus! My husband and I went to "Pies and Pints" on a Friday night. The place was JAMMING. We expected a wait, which was fine. When we were shown to our table, it had not been cleaned off, there was still a tip there and it hadn't been wiped down. Since it wasnt really dirty, we didnt make a fuss. I was surprised not to find a menu at the table for all the beers they serve, seeing as how this is something that is highly advertised. The waitress, who seemed totally frazzled, gave us the small folded sheet she kept in her guest check book to look at. As an appetizer, we ordered grilled, boneless buffalo wings and asked for a side of ranch AND Bleu cheese dressings. They came out breaded, absolutely SLATHERED in sauce and with only bleu cheese. We decided not to make a fuss about it. It took quite a long time for our meals to come out but seeing as how they were slammed with in house and take out orders, we were in no rush. I had a small cheese pizza and my husband, the "All American burger" with onion rings. I have to say the pizza was awesome. It has a nice, crispy thin crust, great sauce and gooey cheese. my husband said the burger was ok, nothing spectacular or horrible about it. We then ordered the homemade strawberry ice cream for dessert. it was overly sweet, soft to the point of being melted and did not seem to be made with real fruit, but a mix. We got our check and noticed only after our card was charged, that we were also charged for another tables' order because they machine had not been cleared. This mistake took the waitress and who we assumed was the manager, about fifteen minutes to clear up and the money has still not been refunded to the card. Stopped by for lunch with a large group unexpected off the highway. For not having expected a big group when they were just opening up, they handled the group of teenagers well. Very friendly staff. I have been coming here for years - I really enjoy the chicken Caesar salad as well as the pizza. I usually sit at the bar but I have never been thrilled with the bartenders here. They are usually older and rude or young and clueless. I went in today and it was great. I was waited on by a young man,who was so personable. It made the experience so much more enjoyable. This place is a mixed bag. It's remodeled but the new dining area feels cold and uninteresting. Though, The bar/booth area is comfortable and rustic. The pizza sucks. No question about it. I would almost prefer Ellio's. The food selection is large enough where you're bound to find something halfway decent, but that's not a plus. The beer selection is really the only thing going for this place. Also, I tried to once use an "Amazon Local" deal that they didn't credit me the day I tried to use it, claiming I had to call in the day BEFORE. Not true. We have been to both the Middlebury and Oxford locations. The pizza is my favorite around town. I slap like that you can get a good salad (not just a bunch of iceberg lettuce and a few tomatoes.) My husband and kids love their pretzels, but they are very filling. read more

If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. The food was good but not great and the service was a little disappointing. When I walked in, I made eye contact with one of the girls that worked there who had been talking to her friend who was sitting at the counter. She quickly stopped talking to her friend and instead of helping me, briskly walked away. I stood there for several minutes without a greeting or even a kind smile from any of the 3-4 waitresses that were standing there. Eventually, I was able to get my food and pay for it, but not before I tried to use a coupon that the employee didn't even recognize. When I got home, the pizza was good, but still not one of my favorites. I personally think it lacks some flavor. The buffalo wings were good, but the sauce was pretty sweet. I would go back, but only if I didn't have any other choices. Overall, I think the service and food is better when you sit down and enjoy a drink. (I've only eaten in once before) read more

Bought a house nearby a little over a year ago and my fiancé and I frequent pies and pints for both the bar and the food. They even have a little creamery now with hard serve ice cream which is also good. They recently installed more taps and now have a total of 26 draft beers....we look forward to the always changing beer list. Beer and pizza are good, all other food is mediocre. read more

You even get the daily beer menu to choose from. I am there at least twice a week. As for Pizza, good to very good. I think a large pie with three toppings comes in north of $25, so not cheap. It's no Pepe's but I've been coming for three years. I would recommend the "thin and crispy". You have to ask for it. As for the menu items. They are ok. Certainly nothing special. One item, the Saccatelli (sp?) is really quite nice. I have had it dozens of times. It is little pasta pillows of great tasting cheese, with shrimp in a cream sauce. We think it is the best item on the menu. The salads that come with the meals are pretty boring. You know, iceberg lettuce and some interesting additions, but pretty boring. This is a place where you take your family for a pizzeria style environment, or you come here for the beer. The bar can either be a bunch of guys or it can be wall-to-wall with locals and twenty-somethings. Depends on the night. $2 drafts (good drafts) on Tuesday night is hard to beat. We ordered the fettuccini Alfredo and linguini and clam sauce through grubhub WELL they messed up bad the balsamic vinegarette was all in the Alfredo and my clam sauce well they were very nice and replaced it. I live less than a mile away and I really enjoy Pies and Pints. The pizza is terrific (my two favorites are the Buffalo Chicken and the Pepperoni and Onion). They also have a great Philly Cheese Steak and good wings. They've added a wonderful beer selection (both on tap and in bottles) and rotate new options in frequently. I can't think of a place with a better selection locally. The owners are also terrific and go out of their way to recognize you and make sure you are enjoying yourself. I think along with domincs in watertown this is by far the best pizza in the surrounding area. The wings are good, but the garlic parmesian are always over-cooked and when you order them just ask them not to overcook them and you will be ok. The beer menu rotates often, which offers a unique opportunity to try many different styles and tastes of beer. I have certain brand preferences and Pies even finds nearly impossible to find varieties of those beers on tap! The pizza is great and having the different wings offered go great with all the beer choices. If you are a beer person, make it to this place. Wings are always solid, I prefer hot buffalo, otherwise cinnamon chipotle for something mild; "r u nuts" for wildly hot. Salads are tasty and have a lot to them. On 11/30/13 we ordered take out from pies and pints.2 Italian combo grinders,1 veal parmigiana grinder and a chicken parmigiana dinner. The 2 Italian combos were SO covered in jalapeño peppers and doused in hot sauce that only a few bites were taken before they were thrown away (8.99 each ) now I suppose if there was anyplace on the menu that stated what came on the grinder I could have asked to leave it off- live and learn. But the chicken parm dinner is what prompted me to write this review. It came on top of pasta and was then covered in cheese,and one bite confirmed that the pasta was RANCID !! How long does pasta sit around before it goes that bad??? I did decide to make a call to pies and pints and I let the girl who answered know about the bad pasta( and therefore bad dinner) . Her answer to me was -ok. Not an offer to replace the meal, not an offer to refund the $14.99- just ok. I then told her we would never be back again and to at least not let anyone else get sick eating bad pasta. We tossed $33 worth food into the trash. An oversight is one thing but when it is brought to their attention and still nothing it appears pies and pints just doesn't care- not about the quality of their food or the customers they serve.
