First, I must warn others about a case worker named Neel (or Neelo). His professionalism and conduct were absolutely unacceptable. He has no understanding of how to communicate properly with families under stress. Instead of guiding us through our options with clarity, he was extremely rude, confrontational, and went as far as issuing ultimatums to my family. A case worker is supposed to be an advocate and a source of support, but Neel only added immense anxiety to an already painful situation. PIH management seriously needs to review his conduct and training. On a much brighter note, our experience was completely salvaged by an exceptional CNA named Alberto. Alberto is an absolute angel and a credit to his profession. He was extremely kind, incredibly patient, and it was obvious that he truly cared for my mother's well-being. He treated her with the utmost dignity and respect, which brought our family immense comfort. While I cannot recommend working with Neel, I am incredibly grateful for staff members like Alberto, on the stroke recovery floor, who represent what healthcare should actually look like.

Avoid this guy at all costs. He may have once been a great doctor, but he's hard set in his old…read moreways and has horrible bedside manner. I went to see him for a punctured eardrum and related infection and he prescribed polymyxin b and neomycin ear drops. The internet and all related medication packaging specifically state that this should NEVER be used on a patient with a perforated eardrum (this medication can cause permanent hearing loss in patients with a perforated eardrum). I have had this condition before and was aware of this contraindication. I asked the doctor about it and was told "it will be fine, don't worry". Against better judgement, I tried the medication only to experience horrific pain and vertigo. I went back and told him that I could not take the eardrops. He told me that he would prescribe something else that would be better for my ear. Upon filling the prescription I found that he had, in fact, prescribed the exact same contraindicated medication. I'm not sure if he thinks all of his patients are too stupid to read a label, but this one isn't. I went to my GP who was shocked that an ENT would prescribe such a medication when it was clearly harmful to a person with my condition.

My husband - musician ear plugs; me - swimming ear plugs. The procedure for getting molds of our ears made was fairly fast, not uncomfortable (just a slightly weird sensation), and the ear plugs were ready to pick up in 2 weeks. As someone who generally does not like having my ears plugged, these custom swim plugs (different colors too, to identify R and L!) have been a revelation. They are really snug and comfortable, don't fall out, don't let water in, allow me to still hear some sound, and I was told that they also float if they should fall into the pool. I haven't tested this. I highly recommend Soundscape Audiology! It was very easy to make appointments. Dr Thakkar was great - he explained everything very clearly and we felt safe and assured throughout the whole process. Note: no credit card payment. We paid by venmo.
