Overall, the food was good. A few of the mofongos were a little dry, but the flavors were still good. Unfortunately, what should have been a great dinner was completely ruined by our waitress, the older lady with glasses. Throughout most of the meal, everything seemed fine. The problem started when it was time to pay. She repeatedly tried to pressure us into leaving the tip on the credit card. We politely told her we would be leaving a cash tip instead, but she became visibly upset. She even blurted out that we "better be good for her pockets," which was incredibly unprofessional. I have absolutely no problem tipping and always believe in rewarding good service. What I don't appreciate is being pressured or guilted into leaving a tip. Do your job well, treat your guests with respect, and appreciate whatever people choose to leave. That's how it should work. As we were trying to settle the bill and pay back the person who had covered the entire check, she constantly hovered over our table, huffing and puffing. She even brought the receipt back to us and pointed out what the tip "was supposed to be." It was uncomfortable, aggressive, and completely inappropriate. By the end of the experience, I was so disappointed that I almost wanted to take the cash tip we left and give it directly to the cooks because they were the ones who deserved the recognition. To make matters even worse, as we were leaving, one of the men in our party was standing near the restroom waiting for someone. The waitress walked up to him, said, "Move," and physically pushed him out of the way as she walked past. He handled the situation respectfully and didn't react, but no customer should ever be spoken to or treated that way. The food was enjoyable, but the service from the older lady with glasses ruined the entire experience. No customer should ever feel pressured, intimidated, or disrespected over a tip. I hope management addresses this so future guests don't have the same experience.

When we got there exactly to the location, the business was not there. My daughter asked me if I checked the review's and I said they were good. She said no, what she meant was, when was the last review and it was more than 5 years ago. Yelp in PR is not used as widely as in the contiguous US. Here if the last posted review is more than 2-3 years, I would double check to see if they are still around. Luckily there are several restaurants in the area and we found Chicharrón. Still Puerto Rican food, but well worth it. We finally got to have steak, like a ribeye. It was huge. Probably more than 16oz and trimmed the way I do it at home with large amounts of fat cap for better flavor. The Ribeye was under $50 which back home, the size would be well over $75. It came along with rice mixed with blood sausage crumbles that added so much flavor. Then we got a pork trio, also amazing. As usual we ordered the Chuletta kan kan and I think we got a slice so thick and so big it was a whole piece of a hog. Just that alone would have filled us up, but I'm a big back when on vacation. So we also ordered some tostones and stuffed avocado. The tostones we tried different was the bread fruit tostones besides the traditional plantain tostones. The bread fruit was very different but in a good way. The service was great. Thanks to my son who is our translator, we managed to not order something e didn't want. If I left it up only to my Spanish, we probably would be eating something we've never heard of. Highly recommend going to Placita, santurce and check out the night life and the many restaurants.

Well, I never received a text from COA, and when i tried to call back twice after waiting fifteen minutes, nobody answered. I suspect the person was avoiding answering because of the caller ID. Needless fo say, I returned to San Juan and told my team that we'd postpone our dinner meeting until I found somewhere else to eat and discuss business plans. Again, i get the feeling that Deaf people here in Puerto Rico are treated like we don't exist or that we're an inconvenience--second-class citizens, as if my money isn't good enough. As if we do good enough to afford McDonald's, it's an attitude that I've encountered in other parts of the world: India, Brazil, Thailand, to name a few, where accessibility doesnt exist, and Deaf people and people with disabilities are given low expectations. Again, as if hearing and intelligence are linked, which they are not. Since I'm Deaf I must have a low wage job.

Me and my boyfriend decided to split the chillo frito and we were beyond impressed. First off the fish was massive! It was so light and flavorful and not greasy at all. You could tell how fresh it was. We also got a side of arroz mamposteao which was the perfect side. My cousin ordered the NY strip with rice and beans and she loved it. She said the meat was cooked perfectly and she loved the beans. Our server was also so nice and gave us great recommendations on what to order and some places to visit and dance in OSJ for the rest of the night.
