We finally decided on the Casper Snow Max since it had the level of comfort and cooling that we wanted. Casper was doing a discount for the holidays, and the in-store price was the same as on Casper's website, so we felt good about purchasing from the store. Ulrabed offers a very generous 120 night sleep trial with free delivery and pickup of your old mattress within a reasonable distance. Because this is a purchase we generally only make every eight to ten years (or longer), shopping for a new mattress has inherent issues that should be considered. First, the mattresses that you are testing in a showroom are already "broken in", so they are very comfortable. You should not expect your newly delivered mattress to reach this comfort level for a few weeks. Most store employees will tell you this. Furthermore, you are test driving bare mattresses in any mattress showroom. That comfy top layer of foam rubber that feels so good in the showroom, that molds to your body, won't translate to your bedroom once you add a waterproof protective mattress cover, and then a fitted bottom sheet. One more thing. If you are offered an optional "cooling layer" to your selected mattress for a couple hundred dollars, you might want to save your money. If you plan to use a waterproof mattress protector, most of these will negate any cooling effect the mattress offers. Bottom line. Ulrabed is a reputable business that sells quality merchandise, but when shopping for a new mattress, "caveat emptor", let the buyer beware.

We told him what we were looking for, and he shared his experience trying to create a mattress that would meet his clients' needs. Over the past 20 years he worked on developing his line of Back Science mattresses. After educating us on the different mattress qualities, Rick recommended we try the BackFlex series. My husband was concerned the mattress would be too soft. Rick assured us that they could make adjustments decreasing or increasing firmness in our home. We decided on the BackFlex3 and placed our order. We were told it would take about 6-8 business days. We got a call on Wednesday that our mattress was ready and would be delivered on Friday. As promised, the mattress arrived promptly and the delivery men set it up. They were professional and friendly. Last night I melted into my bed! I absolutely LOVE it after night #1! I definitely did not feel that way about the Saatva. I am looking forward to enjoying much better sleep on my new mattress and am so happy to have found the Ultrabed store!! Ultrabed also offers a 365 day trial plus their warranty is 30 years! Temperpedic is only a 10 yr and is much more expensive! I am unable to purchase "run of the mill" mattresses due to anaphylaxis from latex and asthmatic reactions to VOC off-gassing. Due to the aforementioned issues, I opted to visit Sharon. My husband and I decided on the Naturepedic Chorus mattress. This was in April of 2021. Fast forward to August 2025. The mattress had weird sagging and was hurting my back. It came with a 20 year warranty through Naturepedic, so I opened a claim with them...and I'm sorry I did. I wish I would've gone straight to Sharon but I made an assumption because the warranty is under the company, not the authorized retailer. Naturepedic was awful to deal with but Sharon more than made up for that by having a new replacement mattress delivered, set up, and took receipt of the prior mattress. The products sold by Snoozzz are truly high quality, safer for the chemical sensitive population, and the pricing is in line with the quality. It was challenging to make an informed decision however, when Michael told us that the mattresses were refundable and could be returned within 30 days if for some reason it wasn't what we had in mind, that seemed like a good selling point. To us it seemed it very clear that we could exchange the mattress with ease. Fast forward, after a week I felt the mattress was too firm, felt as thought I was sleeping on the floor. I called the store and Michael told me the mattress will loosen up in time, it would be helpful to have our grandkids come over and jump on the mattress. Really? He then went on to tell me, ' Well, you liked it in the store ' . He also said much to our surprise that there was restocking fee which is 15% of the cost of the mattress. That's was news to me as well as to my hubby. Michael went on to say it was written on the back of my receipt. Maybe so I told him, however, it wasn't mentioned at the time. The only thing he had stressed to us was the ease of their return policy. Had we known about the restocking fee, we would have taken more time in making our choice. Neither my hubby nor myself heard about any restocking fee while we were there, that's for sure. So if you chose to shop here, make sure you get ALL the details about their return policy. Not happy about the way this transaction was handled and for that reason do not recommend The Sleep Shoppe.

Having the sea of mattresses allows you to figure out what is really comfortable for you, physically and financially. The difference between a $1,200 and $5,200 bed seems like it should be vast, but it's really not, at least in the showroom. Maybe once you get it home. He explained the various products that he sells and the benefits of each of them. He took time to go through everything and by the time I was done I knew exactly what I wanted to get for the rooms. The store itself is kind of off of the main streets in Simi Valley but easy enough to find. He has a good selection of mattresses that are priced much lower that the other stores that I visited. It's really hard to justify spending over $5000 on a mattress for a guest bedroom which seemed to be the starting price of a decent mattresses at the other stores.

We were looking for a higher end mattress for our spare bedroom and ended up purchasing a 'Tri-Pedic Platinum ' mattress from Relief Mart for $1,499. During this whole purchase process we did duck into 'Sit n Sleep' just to reassure ourselves of our purchase decision; the sales rep had no hesitation in dropping his price, kinda made me question the quality of their product. What made us by from Relief Mart. 1. I liked the sales associate, Alec- not pushy, informative and seemed to know the product. 2. Custom made product in California 3. You have an option to modify the mattes within a 4 month period 4. 30 year warranty 5. Non commissioned sales staff 5. Very pleasant vibe. Cons- it takes 3 weeks to get a completed mattress. The mattress arrived and it is everything we thought it would be and are extremely happy with it. The only reason why I did not feel it was a 5 star experience is because of the follow through. We got a 'body pillow and a contour pillow' thrown it and at the time they did not have any in stock; we were told that they would be sent on ,( we purchased on a Sunday) Monday and that we should have it by Tuesday. No sirry; I called on Wednesday and my sales associate stated he had forgot to make those arrangements, I called back on Thursday afternoon and still had not received them. I finally got them on the Saturday after making a few calls. Lastly a few days after the 3 week mark we had not been contacted by the store to let us know when we were to expect our new mattress; we purchased on 7/9 and should have been receiving the mattress on 7/30. My wife called on 8/2 to find out where our mattress was was and the guy who ended up assisting us, (not our original sales rep) was AMAZING and picked up the ball for the team and handled it.... we got the mattress delivered on the 4th. Weeks go by without a phone call or an email from anyone and I have to inquire about my bed myself. In fact, all communication has to be initiated by me, as no one ever calls or e-mails me first! I'm told their "portal is down" (whatever that means) and that they don't know when my bed will arrive! This back & forth about their portal goes on for weeks until finally, almost a month later, someone calls me and apologizes for the delay and says they have my bed & frame and they'll deliver it in a few days! Which was done with no incident.
