After having purchased our last mattress at 'Sit n Sleep' we stumbled across the Relief Mart store while visiting 'Sit n Sleep'. We were looking for a higher end mattress for our spare bedroom and ended up purchasing a 'Tri-Pedic Platinum ' mattress from Relief Mart for $1,499. During this whole purchase process we did duck into 'Sit n Sleep' just to reassure ourselves of our purchase decision; the sales rep had no hesitation in dropping his price, kinda made me question the quality of their product. What made us by from Relief Mart. 1. I liked the sales associate, Alec- not pushy, informative and seemed to know the product. 2. Custom made product in California 3. You have an option to modify the mattes within a 4 month period 4. 30 year warranty 5. Non commissioned sales staff 5. Very pleasant vibe. Cons- it takes 3 weeks to get a completed mattress. The mattress arrived and it is everything we thought it would be and are extremely happy with it. The only reason why I did not feel it was a 5 star experience is because of the follow through. We got a 'body pillow and a contour pillow' thrown it and at the time they did not have any in stock; we were told that they would be sent on ,( we purchased on a Sunday) Monday and that we should have it by Tuesday. No sirry; I called on Wednesday and my sales associate stated he had forgot to make those arrangements, I called back on Thursday afternoon and still had not received them. I finally got them on the Saturday after making a few calls. Lastly a few days after the 3 week mark we had not been contacted by the store to let us know when we were to expect our new mattress; we purchased on 7/9 and should have been receiving the mattress on 7/30. My wife called on 8/2 to find out where our mattress was was and the guy who ended up assisting us, (not our original sales rep) was AMAZING and picked up the ball for the team and handled it.... we got the mattress delivered on the 4th. I wish my wife got the name of this individual as I would love to mention his name. 'Lack of through' can kill the sizzle, so important to look for the WOW factor, right !! All in all a great purchasing experience and I would definitely go back and highly recommend them and their product. read more

I went in to buy a new bed and was waited on by Braedan. He was very knowledgeable about the beds and the selections they had, so I made my choice and bought an expensive bed & frame. I was told, at that time, that I would have it delivered in about two weeks and that I would get a phone call or e-mail about delivery dates & times. Weeks go by without a phone call or an email from anyone and I have to inquire about my bed myself. In fact, all communication has to be initiated by me, as no one ever calls or e-mails me first! I'm told their "portal is down" (whatever that means) and that they don't know when my bed will arrive! This back & forth about their portal goes on for weeks until finally, almost a month later, someone calls me and apologizes for the delay and says they have my bed & frame and they'll deliver it in a few days! Buying a new bed can be overwhelming, but he made sure to answer all of our questions and never tried to upsell us. He was there as we took our time to try out all the different beds that we were interested in, no matter how long it took. We never felt rushed and everything he shared felt was honest. I purchased a Nectar hybrid (foam+springs) queen size bed and adjustable base (remote+massage) for a good price during the Labor Day sale -- which I think is a very good time to buy a bed. I'm so far very happy with the purchase, turnaround time of about two weeks, great, knowledgeable, friendly, no-pressure sales rep, Bredon, and ability to change my mind with no hassles -- thanks also to Leo. The store had a large selection. Delivery guys were great. I don't know how the long term support will turn out if needed, but so far -- two months in -- I haven't needed anything and I'm totally satisfied. Wait for a sale if you can. Mattress was okay until my wife noticed a large tear developing in the upper two layers of foam. I contacted relief mart and sent them pictures of the foam and the area in question. They replied and asked for pictures of the mattress, which I then also sent. However, because the pictures I sent them of the mattress did not have a cover on it they advised they would not be able to do anything, noting health concerns. If I knew they wanted a picture with the cover I had been using, both over the foam and over the cover that comes with it, then I would have sent them a picture of all that; however, I assumed they wanted a picture of the actual mattress. The cover that it came with has basically zero stains or discoloring, but they declined any part of my "30-year warranty" due to the fact it would be a health concern to ship back, and that is the only way they can evaluate it. read more

My husband and I were in the market to upgrade to a King bed. We knew we wanted a full split king with adjustable base because we like different incline settings. We also do prefer different firmness, so we wanted one of the air pump beds. After some initial research, we felt that Air Pedic would be our best option for value and quality. We visited the store twice, the first time helped by Brian and the second time helped by Gerald. Both were patient with us while we tried out the beds in the showroom. They answered all our questions and concerns. They tried to be as helpful as possible to point us in the right direction based on our feedback, which led us to liking the Air Pedic 800 model. Upfront about pricing and fees associated with delivery to our area which is a bit of a drive. When we went through the purchase process, Gerald was able to note all requests with the delivery to ensure it would go as smoothly as possible. It's been a while since we had to go through the mattress purchase process in person, and overall it was not stressful and went as smoothly as we could have hoped. We chose the Air-Pedic 800. Very expensive bed and we had high expectations for it. We gave it a good try, up until a few weeks before the return period would end. Instead of letting us return it, we went through a few months of them sending us various new layers of foam to replace what was already in the bed. Nothing changed the feel, we still wanted to return it. Of course, after all that, Rick tells us we are past the warranty period, and offers to send us more foam to replace the air support. Very disappointed. We had to replace the bed recently. Wish we would have insisted on the return instead of letting them talk us into trying all the new foam. read more

I paid $4,000 in early December for the 800 bed, it's was supposed to take no more than 6 weeks to arrive but "supply chain issues" with the Chinese pump caused a few week delay. Whenever I called or emailed for an update it took a couple days to get an answer from Jordan. Finally after a few conversations the bed finally arrived. Set up was easy. The bed is not heavy, I got it up my stairs and exchanged beds myself. The detailed instructions were written in plain ol American English..... I didn't have to interpret anything, lol .... But, naturally for me, the Chinese pump was bad, one section wouldn't inflate or deflate..... I called in just after 5pm, Brendan walked me through some troubleshooting and diagnosed the issue over the phone, Brendan was supposed to call me back within a 1 to 2 days to either give me permission to open the pump and try to fix it myself or send me a replacement. Unfortunately that didn't happen, no call... no email, no nothing. I emailed Jordan (sales guy), he took care of me and a new pump arrived at my house the next day. This pump is working just fine. A day after I got the new pump Jim (management) called to check on me, with some advise about choosing the sleep number for the bed.... Of note, the 800 bed is supposed to be plush, it is not, I'd say it's an average egg crate type foam density which sits atop the inflatable sections which you can adjust to soften the firmness but it will not feel "plush." Summary..... -The adjustably really is nice, having "three" (you could argue that it's really two) adjustable sections per side is nice. -The 800 is just ok, not "plush" at all, but if need be they will send out a replacement layer of foam.... I'll give it a few weeks and see how it feels before asking them to do that for me.... -There was an initial few week delay in receiving the mattress, no delay in taking my money though... Lol... Funny how that works.... -Not the fastest replies to emails, in the moment it's really frustrating but looking back waiting two to three days for a reply isn't the end of the world.... But it is annoying. Overall, not 5 stars, one star removed because of the issues I've had, but overall, they've addressed my issues and I'm mostly satisfied. I'll update my review again if anything changes... Good or bad (I've already updated this twice, from 2 stars to 3 stars and now updated notes. I wish this could be 3.5 stars.... 4 stars really should be reserved for very good experiences, and while they have taken care of my issues, I just don't like the delays in shipping and in their replies, so it hasn't been "very good".... Replacing a Waterbed with an Air-Pedic We went to the Agoura Hills store to purchase a bed. Gerald did an amazing job. We did not feel any pressure at all. He wanted us to get the bed that would work best for our needs. I am confident we made the right decision to go with Air-Pedic. We researched what the best mattress would be to help both of us sleep better and get the support we need and we decided on a Split Eastern King Size Air-Pedic 850 bed with the Airflow Transfer System with the Elite Adjustable base. This company is trash. They are extremely difficult to get a hold of. I emailed the owner in May of last year to get a mattress modified per their "outstanding" warranty and as he comes up with a solution, never responded after I gave the go ahead to proceed with the modification with a credit card. And what's funny, I love the "salesman" approach when he says "for 'only' $199." It's pathetic. And quite laughable. Below is the email. We have had an awful experience with our mattress. We were so excited after reading the reviews and speaking with their sales representatives. We definitely should have continued our search for a better mattress. Initially, we were pleased. After a few months the problems began. The air chambers don't stay inflated, the remotes don't work a lot of the time, and the air pumps have only worked inconsistently. Their customer service is horrible. We called and we emailed and we continued to receive different answers. We had to do a lot of troubleshooting and then when they sent the replacement parts they didn't work. Months with pain from this mattress and I was very patient. Their quality control is horrendous. The remotes work inconsistently, the air chambers we have had have had leaks, and the air pumps work sporadically. We spent our hard earned money and are NOT pleased. I hope this review will help someone else so that they don't experience what we have experienced. My back is sore and we have lost money. My husband can sleep on anything and he even regrets this purchase. They have continued to say that they would help and call us back and I am still waiting for this problem to be solved. We spoke to the owner when we initially had a problem a year ago and now we are right back having issues. The pumps were on back order and then once we finally received one, it didn't work properly. I'll keep writing reviews on my other platforms and google. Maybe I'll receive a response and I can update my review. If you don't see an update it means I'm still not pleased with the service and the mattress. You would think with so many issues they would offer some other ways to fix this issue but no they haven't. No extra foam, pillow, quality replacements, NOTHING for our troubles!! I was looking for a review lower than 1 . I am resident of Agoura Hills for over 30 years. I was Contractor for over 15 years. I never in my adult life experienced customer service so bad.I had to go to to the Showroom four times over the last three months. Each time A one person showroom with sales person on phone dealing with customer compliants. I was promised the technican was on phone and would call me back by the end of day. After second visit someone did call me back a week later. Last visit they said the owner would call me. Never called. Then after calling owner back i sent picture of mattress. Then i explained Problem on phone said if you moved, you probably voided your warranty. Then today which he said he would come by and look at, i received text changing the time twice, then another text saying he is busy lost my address which i previously texted twice. As soon as he walked in he blamed on box spring then said no probably need no cover then said, probably need new support in middle of frame. The worst company i have ever encountered. Said foam is fine even tough he said it shifted and was deteriorating because there was a stain on cover. I showed him foam which had no stains, He replied, well it is oxidation. He was the worst owner or whatever he is . I spent over a thousand dollars for two layers of foam . When purchased a couple years ago with lifetime warranty. Product matches customer service. I purhased last bed at sit and sleep. Say what you may but had two problems during time i had the bed . They came out resolved problem no questions asked. I respect customer service. I paid for a new mattress in August 2022. It had a 60 sleep days full refund guarantee. I did not receive the mattress until the end of October 2022. At the beginning of December 2022, I contacted Relief Mart and let them know I had to refill the mattress every other day because it leaked, especially in the lumbar region on the right side of the mattress. I asked them to replace the defective mattress or refund me. Neither happened. They insisted the problem was with the pump but they never sent anyone to diagnose the problem. They asked me to swap around the hoses and call them in 2 days. I did. I reported that the lumbar area on my side of the bed was still a problem. They insisted it was the pump and they would send me a new pump. After several followup calls and emails they finally sent the pump in March 2023. As soon as I used the new pump, the lumbar area filled and bulged up and did not go down even after adjusting the fullness. I immediately contacted them and sent pictures. They said it was the mattress and my mattress was one of the first produced at the new site in Agora Hills and they had a quality control problem. They would make a new bed and ship it in 2 weeks. That didn't happen. I followed up again several times in the following weeks and months and they continued to promise a new bed 2 weeks from each phone call I made, but did not deliver it. I finally told them I needed to replace the bed with another product. On June 16, 2023 they said they would have accounting send me a check. We are in July and I have no check and no functional mattress. I do have a backache. Dr. Rick says he is no longer involved with that end of the business and has done nothing to resolve this problem nor have any of the other employees who are involved in the process. Purchased an 850 model with the Airflow Transfer System right at 10 months ago. I waited this long, because that is usually the time that a normal inner springs mattress starts to break down, hips start to sink in too much, and the mattress starts to cause me upper back and neck issues and sometimes hip pain. I had previously purchased / done a comfort exchange on 7 different mattresses the prior 27 months before getting the Airpedic (miserable for us but several of our extended family got nice mattresses through that process). My wife and I are both tall and fairly thin. I have neck and upper back pain and she has some on and off lower back pain. She sleeps very hot and likes her mattress a lot softer than I do. I can't stand the sink in feeling of a Tempur-pedic or the lack of bounce. We have tried out a Sleep Number several times over the past 8 years in the store, did that again last summer, and it just didn't feel right because you lay on it and its one big air chamber, so your hips sink in and the air has to go somewhere so it elevates your upper body putting torque on your neck. The net is after 10 months we both really like this bed, a small miracle. We found that you adjust the hip air chamber to be about 8 or 10 clicks firmer than your shoulder/upper body chamber and that keeps everything well aligned. The menopausal wife thinks it sleeps fairly cool, she has her set on 32 in the center air chamber and mine is set at 40. We did one foam insert swap out to make it a little bit softer about 2 months in. After the foam had gotten more broke in, we both had to tick up the settings a couple of clicks. It was definitely a leap to buy the bed without sleeping on it and sight unseen, but man I am glad we did. Sharing in case anyone else has a similar set of challenges or experiences similar to what we had and has been blowing money on mattresses and comfort exchanges. read more

This is my second time purchasing mattresses from this store...The mattress I purchased from them several years ago was still great, but I needed to change mattress size. My son had spilled coffee on his mattress a few times (errgghh!) so I bit the bullet and purchased a new mattress for him as well (NO more drinking anything in bed!) Rick is a chiropractor who used to consult for mattress manufacturers and decided he could do a better job himself...and he does! He asks questions, listens(!) and makes recommendations accordingly. His beds are manufactured here from very high quality materials. His store offers several styles to meet anyones's preferences and needs, e.g. his Ultrabed Flex mattresses and Tempflow mattresses. These mattresses also come with an amazing warranty...make sure you ask about it! The store also offers adjustable beds and frames. I'm converting a room to a guest bedroom and will go straight back to Rick's Ultrabed and Tempflow mattress store to purchase a mattress for that room. I felt the need to write a review about the UNBELIEVABLE service this company provides not only during the purchase of a bed, but AFTER as well. These are things we don't normally think about but are equally important. We very recently had a health issue in the family and had not had the sense of urgency to reach out to get the one side of our adjustable bed repaired until the issue happened. I called the store and explained what happened and asked if someone could come out and check out the bed. A shout out to Brian S. who showed up literally within hours and fixed the issue. I purchased a TempFlow California King sized Eros mattress, a BlackPepper platform bed, a foundation (kinda like a box spring) for some extra height off the ground, and an organic mattress protector from Relief Mart. Brian, in sales, was very helpful and definitely knows what he's talking about. Poor guy - I think I called and emailed him thirty times before I finally committed to buying, and he was always patient and helpful. Though the mattress did have some noticeable "squish" to it, it was a little on the firm side for what I expected (as a point of reference, I am 6'7" and weight 215 pounds). I suffer from fairly moderate lower back and hip pain, so when I notified them that the mattress was comfortable but a little too firm they are now sending me a Biogreen top layer that should add more softness and "squish." I will admit that I had some frustrations with ReliefMart's freight affiliate , Manna Freight Systems. While that is not ReliefMart, I highly recommend asking for a different delivery service than Manna if you order a bed. Check out Manna's Yelp and Google reviews to get an idea for what I am talking about (1 star across the board). ReliefMart has informed me that they have other affiliates they can use for delivery - so I recommend you ask about those when you order. With regards to my shipping issues with Manna, ReliefMart came through for me and did a lot to make sure that I was happy with my purchases and with the level of service they offer. I do recommend buying your mattress or bed frame from them, and I would purchase my bed again given the overall positive experience I've had with them. Also, make sure you purchase their mattress protector - it supposedly breathes more than other protectors, and I really like the slightly textured feel of it under my sheets. read more

On front end (buying) they were very friendly and helpful. The sales person took the time to talk me through the selection process, check for sales and discounts he could offer me, and even threw in a couple of pillows with the deal. Only used 82 of the generous 120-night sleep trial. My calls and emails (about pricing, completing the sale, delivery, the delays in delivery, the wrong pillows sent, the rock-hard mattress, adjusting the mattress, why there was no follow-through on the question about adjusting the mattress, returning the mattress, and getting my money returned) were all answered courteously. On the "con" side, the backend (after sale) of dealing with Relief Mart was and continues to be frustrating. They SAY the right things, but their follow-through is lacking, there's always an apology but without results. STILL trying to get my refund, even after being told it was "taken care of", yet has still not shown in my account. I'm sure their Airpedic and Tempflow mattresses are great from some. Just didn't work out for me. No complaints about their policy on giving the mattress a fair try. Just be aware that the customer service after purchase is polite... but lacks action. read more

Updated review:Rick, the vice president reached out to me after I was given misinformation about my needing to pay for shipping to return my mattress. Rick assured me there would be no cost and offered to send employees to my home to ascertain and fix the issues they found. But first he called me after hours and after my taking and sharing photos and Rick talking me through different scenarios he was able to find what was wrong and we fixed the mattress problem I was having. This took place over two days. It sounded like he was taking time to call me from his home. In this era of poor customer service I was impressed by how sincerely he wanted to help any way he could. Let me be clear he offered to send someone to my home to look at and fix any problems but I wanted to try what i could first and Rick agreed. I am now fully confident my bed will be comfortable and last for decades knowing how I will be treated should anything go wrong. We are now sleeping comfortably again and two and a half years after purchasing highly recommend this company and their mattress system. Thank you Rick. I purchased a California King Size Air-Pedic 600 Mattress in 2017 and it's become unusable. Over 2600$ and I cannot sleep on it. I only weigh 170 pounds and even with the bed inflation at 100% I am forced to sleep on an angle as the mattress slopes to the middle. It cannot be flipped as an ordinary mattress could so It can no longer be used comfortably. I'm going back to a regular mattress that will last longer as soon as I save the money. A good measure of. Company is hiw fast they deal with problems. Our new bed remote had a faulty display. They sent us a new one right away. Then 3 months later one of the bases stopped working. After some quick debugging they determined a faulty controller and contacted the manufacturer (Reverie) for us to request a new one. after reading the blatant lies in the owner's response to me (my bed missing support, the worst staining he's ever seen - that actually isn't there), I have decided not to increase the stars from my rating. Additionally, the owner has never been to my house, nor did he take pictures. I have never lived near where he is located and they sent me my mattress. They never suggested blocks or anything else because there wasn't any reason to (the bed was set up and protected the way they recommended from day one). I live in northern California and have for longer than I owned one of his mattresses. Ask yourself if he would make a 10 hour drive just to come look at my mattress. His lies are ridiculous and obvious and they actually make what happened worse and relect even more poorly on his company and his product. Further, if you look at other low reviews for this company, youll see that the owner has responded with exactly the same reaponse, so fake. It's clear the owner has attempted to embarrass me by mentioning staining that was never there (I had the mattress protector on the whole time and another cover over that to try and increase the comfort of the bed to no avail). Perhaps he thinks it will cause me to take my review down when the opposite is true. Not only has he behaved unethically but he has outright lied about the condition of my mattress. I followed his company's guidelines to the letter for mattress support and I opened my first issue with them before my move he mentions (btw i moved from one northern cali town to another one 10 minutes away - nowhere near him). The setup they recommended stayed intact even after moving and only changed as they sent me piece after piece after layer of the bed that I was supposed to replace. Tried theirs along with 3 others. This Snuggle-Pedic/Relief Mart pillow is the most uncomfortable out of the 4. I'm really surprised at how many positive reviews there are for this -- I mean, my taste in pillows shouldn't be that off from the rest of the world's. The pillow material clumps up into certain parts of the pillow and it requires constant adjusting and refluffing. After laying on it for 30 minutes, the foam gets pushed to the sides. The off-gassing is another issue. There is a strong odor that doesn't seem to go away. Their customer service is a joke too. I had emailed them and they were short, self-righteous, and sarcastic. Karen is particularly incompetent. They will keep reinforcing their opinion that they are a great company with great reviews, customer service, and a ton of sales! A conversation about their pillow and website turned into a back-and-forth exchange of sarcasm and flaming. It actually started getting pretty funny! So naturally, I let them have the last word and their trashy pillow back. read more

Didn't really know what to expect with the mattress we ordered. Now that I tried the mattress for a while and played around with the different firmness settings I really like the mattress and no longer wake up with back pain. The ordering process was pretty good. A little bit difficult to get through on the phone sometimes but everything went smooth and the shipping and delivery was spot on. read more

We called to order our new mattress after trying out a Sleep Number i8 and were told that the Air-Pedic 800 was what we should buy, so we did. We were told that if the bed was not comfortable we could call and they would tell us how to adjust it or send us another layer to make it comfortable or we could return it. We received the bed and it feels nothing like the i8 we tried. We have adjusted it to the lowest possible settings and it is not soft at all. We have been calling trying to speak to someone for over 2 weeks now. We have left several messages on the voicemail, because no one picks up, and no one returns your call. We were able to get a human being on the phone once, and she said that the man who took our order wasn't in yet, and we had to call back and talk to him. Of course, when we called back, we got voicemail again. If you want customer service, this is NOT the place to buy from! I bought this mattress to get pressure relief for a shoulder/back injury, and it is only making it worse. read more

My husband and I decided to get rid of our old TempurPedic mattress and upgrade to a new and better mattress. We decided to try something other than Tempur-Pedic, as their prices are pretty steep and don't always correspond to what you get. At first we went down the more traditional path by going to a mattress store. Of course traditional mattress stores mostly carry brands like Serta, etc., so we ended up with a Serta iSeries Ceremony mattress that was supposed to be amazing with a dual coil system, special cooling gel foam and so on. However, after sleeping on the thing for about 4 months (we had moved up north and really wanted to give it a chance so we didn't have to deal with replacing it), we both decided it just wasn't working. We both were heating up like crazy during the night and woke up with serious back pains after lying on it for only 5-6 hours. We called Serta to implement our 120-day return policy and after a world of drama and horrific customer service, we gave up (good luck with Serta customer service if you ever have to deal with them). Then I heard about Tempflow. We had just visited the person who told us about it, and his house was full of semi-new mattresses lying around. He said he had been trying different mattresses for a while in order to find the right one and that he had finally found it. We went home and researched the brand and after having read some pretty awesome reviews, we contacted Relief-Mart. The staff was really helpful and I ended up on the phone with Rick, who was more than helpful trying to get me the right mattress for a price that I was comfortable with (since I now had to pay for another mattress). He went above and beyond to make it all happen. I was a bit nervous buying the mattress over the phone without having ever tried it, but Rick listened to the problems that we were having with the Serta mattress and he really sounded like he knew what he was talking about, so I just went for it. I am so glad I did! The mattress is amazingly soft and yet it has great support - everything we wanted! We have slept so much better since we got it a couple of weeks ago! It takes about three weeks to get the mattress as they actually make it specifically for you. We actually think that our mattress is better than the equivalent Cloud-Lux model. The Tempflow pillows are wonderfully soft as well. We ended up customizing them by taking out some of the filling, and now they're perfect. When the mattress arrived, the delivery company had accidentally torn a couple of small holes in the mattress cover (but the mattress itself was fine). I called Rick to let him know, and he sent me a new cover that arrived only a couple of days later. Great customer service! During the waiting period, Rick was also always available when I called with a question and it has been a pleasure dealing with him and the company. It's definitely a great buy, and I love the fact that they use breathable Biogreen foam. Will absolutely recommend! read more

So my mattress was getting seriously long in the tooth and it has totally lost its comfort causing me to constantly toss and turn throughout the night. The lack of a good night's sleep was really affecting my performance during the day and I was sick and tired of being exhausted all the time. Now anyone who knows me knows that it literally takes me weeks and weeks of research before I make a purchase in which I have to live with a product for years to come. I have been curious about the Sleep Number beds since I first saw Lindsay Wagner advertise for them years back. I figured if it's good enough for the Bionic Woman it's got to be good enough for me, LOL. I went to the Sherman Oaks Sleep Number shop and tested out some of their models. I liked the feel of the more luxurious i8, i10 and M7, but when I lowered the my number from 100 to a more comfortable 70, I felt like my lower back was not supported too well. That's a real problem for me, since I have had back pain on and off for way too many years and I think aside from my stupidity during my youth ( you know what I'm talking about. We've all had the "hey I wonder what would happen if I jumped out of the second story building onto the snow beneath me!" moments) my mattress has been the culprit. Anyway, during my research I was comparing Sleep Number to Selectabed's Air-Pedic mattress. I watched the Air-Pedic video on their site and was curious about whether having control over the air pressure separately in the middle zone would really support my back better (they make a good case for their mattresses over the Sleep Number beds). I made an appointment to see the mattress in their factory showroom in Westlake Village. I was running a bit late and got caught up in the L.A. traffic, so showed up about an hour late to my appointment, but Rick, who happens to be the product designer still took the time to spend with me and go over everything. They have a Sleep Number comparison to the i10 called the Air-Pedic 1000 that felt very similar when I first laid down, but more importantly, it was crazy what a difference you can feel when you lower the shoulder and leg pressure zones, but increase the pressure in the middle zone. This setting applies serious support to your lower back. It was like adjusting the lumbar support in my car, but way more comfortable. The only slight negative I had was that the remote took me a few tries to realize that you have to hold the button down for like a half second before it does the adjustments to lower or raise the pressure. If you continue to hold down the up or down arrow you can make large adjustments to the pressure, if you hold it down for that half second only it will change in single increments. Once I figured out my optimal setting (54 for my legs and shoulders and 73 for my low back), Rick confirmed that the alignment of my spine looked good (he's actually a Chiropractor, so I figured he probably has a better take on this than the Sleep Number sales person who seemed to think that I would be in alignment no matter what number I chose). Rick also explained to me the little details like how they fuse the air compartments in a manner which makes the chambers incredibly strong. Anyone of you who actually knows me knows that I'm a bull in a china shop and if it's stronger, it's for me. While Rick was babbling on about some technical mumbo-jumbo about all the other advantages of the Air-Pedic over the competition, I practically fell asleep (now I know what they mean about sleeping on a cloud). Anyway, that is all it took for me to make the purchase. I must also point out that I saved a considerable amount of money over the Sleep Number i10 bed (they are also currently offering financing for 18 months at 0%). Each bed is made to order and I am cool with that, since I know that I am not getting a brand new mattress and not some musty old left over from last year's model. If you're looking to get a new mattress or ready for an upgrade I would highly recommend giving these guys a shot. You will not be disappointed with the service, comfort, and the savings. We purchased an Airi-Pedic 650 mattress and the adjustable Flex USA Elite Split bed in January and received them in April. Be clear that Select-a-Bed cannot bring the bed or mattress inside your home or set it up for you. Since my husband and I couldn't carry the items upstairs to set them up ourselves we had to pay movers to come do that for us. This worked out fine, just be aware of the extra cost and effort involved in this. We are happy with the mattress. But not happy with the way the adjustable bed works. Raising the head does not help with snoring. And when I raise it in order to read and sip my morning cup of tea, it feels like I am sitting in the middle of the bed and am very far away from my bedside table. I contacted Select-a-Bed several times by email and phone to see if there was anyway to resolve these issues. Despite being told twice that technical support would call me to see if I could make adjustments on this frame and/or give me info about a newer model that has "wall hugging" features, five weeks later, I have still not been contacted. So, I recommend the mattress but the adjustable bed is not worth the expense. read more

Update - over 5 years later our tempflow memory foam mattress still feels amazingly comfortable and supportive! The split cal king we got is great as we have different preferences for softness, and the split also helps with motion isolation. read more

We could not be more delighted with our experience purchasing a new mattress at SelectaBed/Relief Mart in Agoura Hills. They specialize in all sorts of memory foam mattresses and have an expansive showroom. Their sales manager, Gerald, (whose main concern seemed to be finding the right mattress for us not just getting a sale) knows what he's talking about, and went out of his way to help us choose the right softness. He cautioned us against getting something too soft, warning that we didn't want to trade shoulder and hip pain for lower back pain, and that if we found the new mattress too firm, it could easily be made softer with a topper. He also recommended we spend some time resting on various models to make sure lower back pain wouldn't be a problem. We visited their showroom three times to make sure we picked the right mattress. Unfortunately, it turned out to be slightly too firm. That was when we truly discovered how really terrific their customer service is. First I spoke with their customer service manager (Jordan?) about how to make our new mattress just a bit softer. He immediately responded with a solution. When I followed up with the shipping manager, (Duke?) he reassured me that the 1" super soft memory foam topper had made all the difference on his mattress. The two guys who hand-delivered the topper a short time later were couldn't have been nicer. I've rarely encountered such top to bottom helpfulness, especially after a purchase. The end result is that we have the perfect mattress for us -- not too hard, not too soft -- "just about right!" Thank you to everyone at SelectaBed/Relief Mart. We are very pleased! read more
