I moved to Kenosha two years ago from Chicago and have really missed having options for Thai food. While Pimmy's isn't quite on par with my favorite Thai restaurants in Chicago, it has quickly become one of my favorite places in Kenosha. We seem to go at least twice a month. We've tried quite a few dishes at this point. The curries are OK- you won't go wrong ordering one but you also won't be amazed. The appetizers are all good as well. Food and service was very good! We ordered a great seafood curry and Pad Thai. Prices were typical $10/$15 a plate. Decor leaved a little to be desired, however, it seems as though that's somewhat typical for local Thai restaurants. Love this place so much ! My great grandma and I would come so often that the waitress new what I wanted. I always get the crab ragon and the tofu pad thi. Defiantly recommend this place to everyone. They have spicy foods, sweet foods, sticky foods, sweet and sour foods, and every thi food one could wish for. Just with that you could order food there like a normal restaurant. read more

Meh. I have no issue with a restaurant that's in a strip mall, next to a Verizon. Seriously, it's not always about the atmosphere, if there's great food. That said, service was painful. Slow. Friendly, but unorganized. Food was decent, but not the best Thai we've had. The first batch of rice was mushy. The chicken was bland. Now, the Thai iced tea was tasty. I've been here several times, as I love Thai food. Usually I get takeout. Each attempt is a roll of the dice. The food is okay. Not great. The service is consistently below par. In one instance, when I walked in and indicated that I wanted to place an order to go, the girl behind the counter made a face, and said that "it's going to be a while," without even knowing what I wanted to order. A co-worker and I decided to give this new restaurant a try today. Both of us love Thai food and miss the Thai restaurant that used to be in our area. I ordered the red curry with chicken, and he ordered chicken with basil. Both of the dishes were good with the curry bordering on great. Really flavorful with a nice balance of spice. The homemade crab rangoons that came with the lunch special were also tasty. As a new restaurant they are working out the details, but I will definitely be back to try other dishes. The only negative may be the soup that came with the lunch special. It was mostly broth with some vegetables. I would have loved another rangoon in place of the soup. Overall, very nice little restaurant. I will add another review once I visit as they get fully up and refined. read more

Really, really solid (and much needed) Thai cuisine, absolutely excellent service. My wife and I grabbed dinner here a few nights back, she had Pad Thai and I had Red Curry with Chicken. The food was delicious, certainly on par with other Thai restaurants we have been to, and the service was excellent. Not one, but two waitresses checked in on us regularly, brought us tea and water, and asked of everything was to our liking. They were very polite, not distracting. The ambience is nice, it's clean, reasonably priced, and the food is authentic. What more could you ask of the only Thai restaurant in Kenosha? Go there, get your curry fix. read more

We've been here a few times, mostly out of convenience, being the closest Thai place to our house. The service is mediocre at best. If not for the food, we would never go back. They repeatedly forget things, and are unapologetic; they don't communicate with each other; and are unenthused. The atmosphere still takes on the feel of the coffee shop that was there prior - complete with the drive thru lane. For all of their shortcomings, I would recommend only order takeout, because dine-in is not worth the hassle. read more

The food was great & our waitress was wonderful - gave my daughter books on Thailand after she told her she'd rather go to Thailand than Disney. I've been to Pimmy's numerous times and have always had great food. The wait staff are very attentive and the owner (Pimmy) seems to always be working and she often comes out onto the main floor to ask how everyone's meal is. The restaurant is always clean, and the service always seems fast even when the restaurant is busy. The food is excellent and I've enjoyed everything I've gotten there. I especially like the crab rangoon, cashew chicken, and their salmon dishes. My husband loves their potstickers, pad thai, and Bangkok fried rice. I highly recommend this place! read more

Very efficient and short menu, you get soup and your choice of 1 egg roll or crab rangoon. They don't have appetizers, you will want more crab ragoons. I had the pad Thai, it was very good but not the best I've had. The spice levels were wonderful, if you like non white people level spice hit a 4 or 5 but if you like just a little pinch 2 or 3 is very comfortable. Some people have complained about cramped seating and poor/slow service, well that's because you are trying to make this very small business be something that it's not (or isn't yet). Yummmy! We just moved here from VA Beach and the first thing we did was scout of some Thai. We are a couple of snobs when it comes to Thai food. We were stationed in Guam for over four years and I had some of the best Thai food there. Coming back to the states was a bit of a disappointment but Pimmys did not let us down! My kids mostly eat asian food so we try to find decent Thai food when we travel. This place had pretty good food and fairly authentic. Some dishes better than others but all were great. The place actually has some cute decor but chose some relatively cheap tables. Not a big deal. read more

I usually don't write reviews but I'm happy to have this place around and definitely want it to succeed. I can't speak for service as we got takeout at 4pm when the place was totally dead, but I have nothing bad to say about the food. We had fried tofu, crab rangoon, pad thai, spicy basil chicken and red curry chicken and it was all delicious. My boyfriend added additional lime to his pad thai cause he thought it was lacking but that's the only complaint and is probably related more to personal preference than quality. My preferred thai dish is spicy basil and theirs was as good as any I've had in the north suburbs. I was a bit iffy on the inclusion of jalapeños (which is why I got the red curry as backup) but it works and I was very pleased with the dish. Pimmy's brings good thai to Kenosha. Nom, nom, nom, nom! I was super excited about trying Pimmy's, until after reading several reviews about bad service and mediocre food. I had to see for myself and decided to get take out so I could focus on the food and not the waitresses. We ordered the appetizer combo, mixed vegetables with beef, and yellow curry with chicken. Ordering was easy, whoever answered was nice and polite, and food was ready in 20 minutes, five minutes before the 25 we expected so that was a plus. The appetizers were just meh, other than the chicken satay with peanut sauce which was very flavorful and will get ordered for this house again and again. The mixed veggies with beef were solid but the true stand out was the curry. I'm in LOVE! Perfect combination of coconut milk and spicy heat. The best curry I've had ever, and having lived in New York City, Chicago, and a few other foodie cities I've eaten my fair share of Thai. I can't wait to try the red and green curries to see if they are equally as good. Overall this was a great meal! Next order I will be tasting the pad Thai, another of my favorites, and more curry. I suspect that will happen tomorrow because I can't stop thinking about it. read more
