We got paired with a Father & Son fro, New Jersey, Jim & Jimmy. It was so windy, gusting to 30 degrees. Just not fun to play in those conditions. It's a good course for Calabash. I especially liked all the choices you had on the tee box. There were some tricky blind shots and a fair amount of water that comes into play. You get the GPS enabled carts and there is one bathroom on each side.

The last hole is a par 6, over 700 yards from the tips. The green is over some water and marsh with a landing area front right. Was not sure what to expect but found the hole to be interesting and with a couple of good shots you can have a good chance at a birdie. The hole starts in South Carolina and ends in North Carolina.

The big problem was that the crew here heavily overbooked the tee times for this Day, and because of that playing this round was miserable for the first 10-12 holes. We ended up starting an hour late and finishing with at 5.75 hour round! At least the ranger was super nice given the situation. Make sure to check how many tee times there are before playing here, they definitely squeeze as much $$ out of the course as they can! Unfortunately we won't be coming back next year.

Then there was split teatime so Folk started on the back nine mid morning and the course was filled up yet it moved quick enough. The staff was great. The course was in good condition. The greens rolled good. The sand bunkers were an excellent condition and had been maintenance the morning of. Overall, just an excellent experience. I can see why some people would rate it low based on frustration of pace of play alone, but I say Book with confidence that you will get to play some golf.
