Bacon, egg, and cheese on Cuban toast.
    Pia G.

This restaurant used to be Tapas, and they sold it to the new owner. The inside still looks the same and it is very clean. This is my second time going here for a breakfast sandwich. The owner is very friendly. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on Cuban toast and added an egg. I think the original only comes with one egg. This is a fresh sandwich that was cooked on a griddle, no microwaved eggs here! The sandwich with one egg is $4! And the with 2 it's only $5. It's a perfect size to satisfy your hunger and it tastes great. I'm all about supporting small businesses, especially when they are friendly. The restaurant is a little tucked away, right off of Falkenburg rd. But, there are signs on the side streets to get you there. It's definitely worth it for breakfast. I haven't tried anything on the lunch menu, but it all looks great. I highly recommend!

It was so comforting and felt just like mom and abuelas cafe con leche. I'll take that over a big time coffee shop any day! The restaurant itself was nice and clean had plenty of tables and seating. I walked right up to the counter and ordered. I had a tiny bit of a hard time narrowing down my decision but i ended up going with the roast pork omelette which i loved. It came with my choice of bread and i picked Cuban toast which i loved as well. My husband went with the Mac Daddy which came with fish and grits and the way it smelled in the car omg i wanted to pull over and have some before we even got to our intended destination! I'm so glad we finally stopped in. The pricing was fair and the service was super quick and friendly. There wasn't a paper menu or on online so i took some pics of the screen so i have it for next time. Also, Im super pleased that I was in and out in about 15 minutes!

I've tried a few things here and the roasted pork special is by far the standout. It's very flavorful and definitely worth ordering! I've also had the grilled chicken salad and turkey wrap, but I wasn't a fan of either. If you go, stick to the Cuban or pork-style sandwiches; that's what they do best. Service is fast, prices are great, and it's an easy spot for an easy lunch.

Well, they've earned their rating with good reason!…read more A friend and I went on a bit of an unplanned adventure yesterday as the first place we were going to go to was closed for an event. After driving 30 minutes to that place in Plant City and realizing this, we decided, "why not drive some more?". Josephine's was on my radar due to their great reviews across multiple platforms, so we drove another 20-30 minutes to check it out. We arrived at the unsuspecting strip plaza, walked in to what was just one well lit, cozy strip in the plaza and were immediately greeted by Robby, the owner, who asked us if it was our first time in. We let him know that it was, and he proceeded to educate us on everything they have to offer, from their bar, their sandwiches, pizzas, salads, pastas, grocery and so on... the meatball sandwich was calling my name, along with their pizzas and their pastas - so many choices! I did land on the meatball sandwich and got a bag of chips and a glass of wine while my friend got the Italian salad and a coke. For note, this ran us about $45. It was well worth it. The meatball sandwich was 10" and was stuffed with fully ground beef meatballs, seasoned well and very cheesy - so good. I tasted the salad and it was great as well, with plenty of parmesan cheese to cover up the taste of leaves that I was consuming (I'm not a vegetables guy still). While we were dining at the bar, Robby took a bit more time to tell us how the store came to be, being named after his grandmother who, though she wasn't around to see what he had started, would no doubt be very proud as his/his employee service was excellent and the food was no different. At the end of our experience, Robby took our payment and we explored the store a bit. Robby was kind enough to offer me two of their mini cannolis and my friend a scoop of their salted caramel gelato on the house as a way of saying thank you for coming in; again, EXCELLENT service. Since leaving there yesterday, I have recommended the place to 7 people and will continue recommending it to more people due to their great value, service and delicious food. Huge thanks to Robby and the team at Josephine's for knowing how to do things the right way. I'll definitely be back.

After returning from our honeymoon in Italy, my husband and I were on a mission to find pizza,…read moreItalian subs, and authentic Italian foods that reminded us of our trip. We stumbled upon Josephine's Italian Market, less than 15 minutes from our home, and it has become one of our favorite special-occasion spots. The market itself is such a fun experience. They have a thoughtfully curated selection of imported Italian products, a refrigerated and freezer section with prepared foods to take home, shelves of authentic pantry staples, a small espresso and Italian beverage bar, and a fantastic deli with fresh meats like prosciutto, capicola, and everything you'd hope to find in a true Italian market. One thing that really stood out was how welcoming everyone was. I brought my toddler with me, and instead of feeling like I was trying to juggle shopping while keeping him entertained, the staff genuinely embraced him. They were so kind and engaging that it made the entire visit relaxed and enjoyable. Now for the food... absolutely incredible. Their Hot Honey Pizza is easily one of the best pizzas I've had outside of Italy, and their authentic Italian sub is unquestionably in my top five ever. The chicken cutlets, salads, and other prepared foods have all been consistently outstanding. I also love browsing their selection of authentic Italian wines to take home. Is it more expensive than grabbing pizza or subs from a chain? Absolutely. But the quality, authenticity, and overall experience make it worth it. We don't think of Josephine's as an everyday stop--we think of it as our go-to place for special occasions, family gatherings, or anytime we want to treat ourselves to food that genuinely reminds us of Italy. If you're looking for authentic Italian food, exceptional sandwiches, outstanding pizza, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, Josephine's Italian Market is absolutely worth the visit. We're so grateful to have a place like this so close to home!

Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I won't be returning. I stopped in around 3:00 p.m. and was happy to see it wasn't busy. I went to the deli counter, waited for someone to serve me, ordered my chicken salad, grabbed a soda and chips, and headed to the open register. As I walked up, the cashier called another customer over ahead of me. I waited while he spent several minutes deciding whether to pay cash or by card because of the 4% card fee. I continued standing there with my three items, to the point that I actually set them down and debated walking out. Then, instead of helping me, the cashier motioned for an entire family to come to the registereven though I had been standing there waiting before they arrived. After that, she waved over another customer, and I had to wait while a mother and her two teenagers decided which desserts they wanted. Again, I stood there patiently. When it was finally my turn, there was no greeting, no "thank you for waiting," nothing. The first thing I was asked was, "Do you have a pickup order?" I said no. She then motioned for my chicken salad container, saying she needed it. I placed it on the scale and set my other items on the counter. The cashier then asked, "Are you okay?" I simply shook my head because, honestly, I wasn't. Instead of recognizing why I was frustrated, she continued talking, making comments, and escalating the interaction rather than simply ringing me up. At that point, I asked, "Do you want to argue? Do you want me to go back and forth with you?" I then asked who the manager was. She pointed to a woman beside her, who identified herself as the owner. I asked if she could ring me up instead. Even then, the cashier continued making comments. It was only after she continued engaging me that my voice became louder in response. Rather than addressing the repeated comments from her employee or asking what had happened, the owner immediately said, "Do not raise your voice at my employee." That response was disappointing. There was no concern for the customer experience, no apology for repeatedly being skipped in line, and no attempt to resolve the situation. There was also no acknowledgment that the interaction had been escalated by the cashier's continued remarks before I ever raised my voice. The irony is that I have spent a significant amount of money catering from Frankie's Deli over the years because my customers love the food. Good food will bring people in once. Great customer service keeps them coming back. Sadly, this experience ended that relationship for me. There are plenty of places with great food, but respect and customer service matter just as much. One final thought: this is Florida not NY. Hospitality goes a long way. The aggressive, dismissive attitude I experienced isn't what I expect when supporting a local business. I won't be back.
