I think of the style reminds me of a mix between a Joey's & Earl's with big screen tv (or Chop Steak House in Richmond). Restaurant comes with both tables and booth seats. Good for large groups as well. Very large restaurant with different sections. Tables very nicely spaced apart. We came in near Dec 2017 and they even had a nice Christmas theme at the entrance. Female washroom, clean and very modern decor. Service: Good, gal was nice and checked in on us. She was cute and would start off all the conversations with the softess, most polite, "excuse me". Host at the very front was very friendly as well! He made sure to check in on us while we were leaving as well which made us appreciate the experience from beginning to end. Food: complimentary papadum & mint chutney. We ordered garlic naan (just a tad bit too oily for our liking but we enjoyed the garlic flavors nonetheless), order of rice (definitely enough for 2 people), rara chicken and chicken curry. The service was lacklustre to say the least. While eating my appetizer, the waitress asked if we were ready for the main course and asked if we were done with the appetizer instead of leaving it on the table (we were 2 people in a booth big enough for 6 people) Then while there was plenty of food left on the table, she asked if we wanted it packed even though we weren't done eating! Every dish that came out was presented to the wrong person. It would have been better served to us at a buffet. The food is far from traditional. Flavours were very single note and boring. Naan was crispy. Not worth coming back and paying as much as we did for it. On the way out, the person behind the host's counter stared us down, no smile, and didn't even thank us for coming or wish us a good night. Basically just awkwardly watched us leave. But it's a 4 stars for decor: there's even a semi-water fountain in the middle, with lots of neon lighting throughout. Really, felt more like a lounge. Stay away if you are a pure vegetarian and dining with a mixed group of diners. The waitress swapped the chicken and mushroom orders and i ended up tasting chicken for first time in my life. The factor which is lingering my mind is the trust I kept on them, understanding the values and feeling of a person practicing vegetarianism as a part of religion. Though the bill was completely waived off and excellent service was provided after notifying the incident to the manager, I had to completely avoid this place hereafter . We had stopped here for lunch on our way to Whistler, BC from Bellevue, WA. Food is better than most Indian restaurants in the Greater Seattle area, and the ambience is the best I have seen. I was here a few months back. I have been to many Indian places, trying to search for Indian food comparable to Delhi in the western hemisphere. This place was the only one that came close. We went there on Saturday, around 7, without reservations. The staff was corteous and friendly, and we were seated in about 15 mins. We ordered chicken tikka masala and cocount chicken. The service was excellent no doubt about that . If it was just the service I would have rated this place a 5 or more but unfortunately the food wasn't that great . In spite of letting them know before hand that we would want mild food , it turned out be extremely spicy for our taste and I could hardly eat anything . Well we ordered gobi masala and Mughlai paneer which just wasn't that great . The gobi tasted as if the masala was added to it just before serving and was not actually coked with it and the Mughlai paneer was nothing different than shahi paneer with a huge amount of black pepper . We did let the server know this and he was extremely apologetic so I guess they did realize their mistake . The food was ordinary. Nothing special. We tried samosas which were on the small side. The fish pakora was decent but not a lot of flavour. Same with the rest of the dishes. However, what got me was the horrible service. My family can't eat a lot of spice due to medical conditions. We got chicken tiki masala. I was given a choice of mild, medium or hot. I asked for mild. When we picked up the order and brought it home, one dish was so hot it made my family sick. My husband is Fijian and even he said it was hot! I called back to tell then what happened and all I got was an excuse that these dishes can't be made mild. My husband knows Indian food, and he said that's just wrong unless it's pre cooked. We decided to try this restaurant after listening to the commercials on the radio. Big mistake. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, very classy looking bar lounge. We were seated right away as we went for an early dinner at 4:30. We told the waiter who had terrible English that we like spicy food... Ask him for recommendation on chicken... He recommended their pinch of spice special chicken something called Munghai chicken. It was terrible. The saucy is a watery based/tasteless dish. My husband planned my surprise 25th birthday with 40+ people and everything was perfect! Their floor manager Jessie helped him make sure everything was set and taken care of before the event and the night of! We all had a great time. Their technology is pretty awesome too, the waitresses use a tablet to take your order which gets sent to the kitchen instantly and brings your food out quicker! We love and recommend this place! The flavors were reminiscent of some of the exotic places I've travelled to around the world. We started with a fantastic Chicken and Lamb Kabab dish garnished with fresh onions that came piping hot on an iron skillet cradled in a wooden slab. The double meat Kababs were juicy and had a nice flavorful kick to them. A dish that totally surprised me was the Cassava Bhajia. It's an amazing fusion of a popular Indian snack with a dish I loved when I visited East Africa called "mogo"... I paired it with the tasty chutneys that come with it and the experience in my mouth was epic! The kiddos sat quietly at the table (a VERY good sign) as they devoured the Butter Chicken with rice and naan bread. I saw how much they enjoyed their dish that I asked to order another one for myself, however upon a recommendation, I ended up ordering Danna Chicken instead. I'm glad I did :) The sauce was more delicate yet incredibly flavorful and the chicken was so tender that it melted in my mouth. Mango milkshakes balanced the heat of some of the spicier dishes we had like the Chicken Poussin. This was the first time I had Chicken Poussin... It is a wonderfully spicy dish that came with a side of fries which were also coated in the the Poussin sauce. Yum!!! Another first for me was the Paan Ice cream. This was another unexpected fusion that blended the best of both worlds and it's execution did not disappoint. Why have to choose Paan or Ice Cream when you can have Paan AND Ice Cream? Brilliant. Just brilliant. I finished off the meal with a warm cup of milky spiced Chai tea... I was in heaven. The seating was comfortable and the atmosphere had a cool vibe. The staff were friendly and attentive. Seems like it could be a great place to host larger events and even for getting friends together to enjoy amazing food while watching a game as the restaurant is spacious and has a nice bar area with no shortage of high definition displays. As a Caucasian woman I felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable at this restaurant, which has never been a problem at any other indian establishment. The servers treated us like garbage, probably the worst service I've ever experienced. They were rude, lazy, uninterested, and argued with us when they brought more servings then what we had ordered and they charged us for food we didn't order. What I couldn't get over was the vibe from staff and other Indian customers, I couldn't wait to leave I was so sick of being stared at. As I read the other reviews, I wonder if we are speaking of the same restaurant. The service was horrible! So slow and uninterested looking. Pinch of Spice is not the name as the food was bland and pretty tasteless. The Gobi has no potatoes and was raw. We asked for our food to spicy, and still had to ask for hot sauce. Decor was nice, prices very reasonable but thats it. I would not go back there again and would not recommend it. What is the point of having a nice decor restaurant when the service and food isnt up to standard? This place will not last with that service and lack of food which is sad - because its very typical w Indian Restaurants. Poor service and subpar food.
