    Blacked grouper sandwich
    Brooke L.

We visited here on vacation and I ordered the stuffed blackened grouper No seasoning at all definitely wasnt blackened Offered a dessert to make it right. A $6 dessert doesn't make up for a $33 meal. Actually charged us for desert then had to refund us Can confidently say we will not be going back here

This picture is the 3 containers in a glass dish.

We have been to Pinchers, many times, and always love their hot crab dip. Today we ordered and picked up 3 orders of their crab dip. $45.00...Each container was just short of 1 cup. We also did get tortilla chips with each order. Absolutely shocked, and disappointed with the amount...Never again!

    Blackened Grouper tacos

I had the blackened grouper tacos at Pinchers, and I'm still thinking about them days later. I ordered the two-taco plate with fries and coleslaw on the side, and every bite was a win. The tacos? Absolutely incredible -- hands down the best I've ever had. The grouper was perfectly blackened, packed with flavor, and cooked just right. The toppings added just the right balance without overpowering the star of the dish. The home-cut fries were a standout on their own -- golden, crispy, and full of that homemade taste you just can't fake. And the coleslaw? Creamy, fresh, and absolutely a 10/10. The restaurant was very clean and nice, loved looking at the boats outside. Service was spectacular.

Small size mahi mahi with coleslaw on the side. I also had mashed potatoes as a side too, but it was not pictured. 17 dollars

It was getting late and we wanted to eat close to our hotel. I went with my parents on a late Monday night. We arrived at 8:30pm, and was sent to the other side to check in. We were given a 5 minute wait, not because it was crowded, but because they were only two servers working at the moment. We were seated after 5 minutes to a small booth in the back. I ordered the small mahi mahi with coleslaw and mashed potatoes for 17 dollars. The fish could have been more fresh and moist, but it was still decently grilled and just enough to satisfy. The coleslaw was better, as the cabbages and carrots were fresh and flavorful with the right amount of seasonings. I also enjoyed the mashed potatoes that had the garlic flavor. I also tried my mom's pasta, which was cooked al dente and enjoyable with the Alfredo sauce. I tasted my dad's french fries, and greens beans, which both were tasty too. Thus, it looked like I enjoyed the sides more than the fish. Our server, Veronica, provided quick and great service throughout, and Erin managed her well. The theming seems to be nautical, with fish and boat decorations. It was very casual, so you can dress in a t shirt without any problems. Pinchers is located in Tarpon Point in the village area, which is very close to the Westin hotel. Even though the community is gated, the gate is normally open. Although my mahi could have been fresher, I still liked it. I also really enjoyed the sides. For being walking distance from the Westin, this is a good option for casual seafood near the resort.

My family and I stopped here on our vacation in Cape Coral fl our waitress Dawn was amazing some of the best service I've had in a long time. She was friendly, good with the kids and checked on us every round threw her tables we didn't go a minute without drinks. She got us everything we needed fast and correct. The atmosphere was family friendly and not extremely loud. My husband and I got the tuna it was amazing there green beans I ordered was amazing. The kids had chicken tenders, crab cake sandwich and fish and chips they loved it and ate all of it. My youngest got the snow crab also and loved it and loved the tools and bucket that came with it I recommend this restaurant if you are craving seafood and a good dinner

    CORN & CRAB CHOWDER

If you are in the area, this is a must place. If you can make it during happy hour (3-6pm) even better because you get extra drinks. Everything here is fresh. The place is truly divey, relaxed atmosphere, leave you worries out kind of joint. Fish and chips are great, conch fritters and crab cakes are very good. The crab and corn chowder was also amazing. Service was good, friendly and fast.

Pinterest was the perfect meal right after I got off of a long flight! I had the hot cheese grabbed dip and let me tell you, you need that in your life!! I ordered the shrimp skewer and they were cooked to perfection. 10/10 will be coming back!

OOPS, I did it again. I ordered the oysters. Darn fine oysters. For my main, I ordered their Gumbo. The Gumbo is unusual in that there was no shrimp or fish, just sausage. It was delicious. Mrs. K. ordered a fish sandwich; she did not eat it. She said it had an extreme fishy taste. I was asked to taste it; I declined. I did smell it; it smelled fishy. Cod should not present a problem.

I also ordered hog fish * a Fl delicacy described as follows: Considered superior in taste and texture, often marketed as the "filet mignon of the sea". Well folks I was served tilapia and charged $28 for a $7 dollar dish. I hope the owner is reading this because you know it's dead wrong. I questioned the waitress Staci because I know this was bogus. Not her fault she does not run the kitchen. I did tell her I planned on reviewing the experience...... after 2 bites I took the food to go so I could prove that they knowingly price gouge customers. I was shocked to learn that misrepresenting fish in FL is considered a food violation and a finable offense....now i have evidence so let's see where this goes. Anyway guys when you go to Salty Papa order chicken wings and cheap drinks others they will try to scam you. See pics of tilapia vs their hogfish *same cheap fish. Also adding pics of real delicacy. This place is a fraud. Owner left a very aggressive response. Not sure why when you got your $28 and I left my phone number. No need to be Sassy if you are really customer satisfaction tag you're it. His game plan was to…read morefigure out the perfect dinner spot where we could catch an epic Sanibel sunset, then still have enough time to roll over for a hallmark view of the July 4th fireworks. Mission accomplished. Lighthouse Waterfront is huge with a big dining rm on one side and another section closer to the left overlooking the outdoor deck sitting right on the water. If you're chasing sunset vibes, this deck is where it's at. We started with a dozen meaty oysters and a hot crab dip with crispy wontons to dip. For our main plates, hubs ordered the thick-cut bone-in pork chop and loved it while I went with the seasoned grilled swordfish. I had the Dubai Chocolate cocktail and I'll give them props for that pistachio rim and the dark chocolate drizzle.....that Hershey's syrup crap. The only downside was it could've packed a punch. But then again- between my recent trip to Miami/Ft Lauderdale and now Sanibel...I haven't had a drink that would know the shit out me here. No offense. Anyhow, to wrap things up, we shared a slice of key lime pie. That's basically mandatory when you're down here. It was good, but honestly, the real treat was watching that Sanibel sunset. Service was ok- I just wished our young server was more present. On the plus side, when he'd showed up, he made sure to help at any given moment. We finished dinner, headed out to the deck and soaked in every second of the sunset before making our way to catch the fireworks elsewhere.

Where to start. 1)Our servers were amazing. 2) Drinks - pathetic. $16.00 for a lime martini that tasted like a melted popsicle and was a total of 6 oz. Tasted no alcohol. 3) crab dip a 3 inch skillet of carb dip with 10 small pita chips. No taste at all and $19.00. 4) shrimp with garlic and butter over linguini - it was basically pho soup. $28.00. 5) and the best of all. Lobster Mac n cheese. It was macaroni with (I kid you not) seafood bisque over top and a small ramekin of Parmesan cheese $50.00. The man playing music (nice island vibe) in the corner was so loud I could not hear my husband across the table. In fact most asked to move to the other side but it was closed off or outside because it was so loud. Did I mention it was 95 degrees. 5 or so parties were seated after us, and while we were not at all in a hurry, every one of them received their meals prior to us and left before we received our food. Our server felt bad so she offered us some bread for the extra wait. (Shouldn't that be standard). We didn't complain and paid the over $150.00 bill plus a nice tip and the 3% charge for using a card. No manager came to ask how the meal was and at this point we were over it. Asked for a take home box and left. I can also tell you the menu was extremely limited. No crab dishes, no scallop dishes? A seafood restaurant not anymore? What happened? New management, owners? And yes we've been there since IAN so can't blame the hurricane. We will only visit Lobster Lady from now on. I sound like I just want to complain but I don't. I know it's off season and don't ever expect perfection. This was worse than horrible. Beware. It's not what it once was. Sadly! Sorry no pictures mostly out of shock but the water feature that used to be so picturesque outside was green algae.
