Great service and a friendly staff. Unfortunately the food was only ok, absolutely nothing to talk about on the positive side. I had the scallop dinner platter. This consisted of 9 scallops, 6 of which were barely the size of a quarter and less than 1/2" thick, 3 of them were only the size of a dime. This 'Platter ran me over $21.00. The scallops were chewy and not very tasteful. The two other patrons at our table ordered the crab cake and the coconut shrimp. All seafood portions were very small and not very flavorful. All the platters came with an abundance of fries but this is not what I go to seafood restaurant for, I go for the seafood. Summation is "Way over priced for the quality and quantity of food." This is a south west Florida restaurant that hits all the marks. Ate at the bar with a couple of friends. Music, food and drinks are great. Service is friendly and suggestions were spot on. And the view of the boats and marina just made it perfect. 2 for 1 drink specials everyday! All day!!! Beer, margaritas, and wine. Happy hour food 3-6 pm. Oysters and beer.... I'm in heaven. We did get the blue crab claws in garlic butter sauce. They were very good. Loved the sauce for dipping bread. Would recommend this place. read more

Pinchers used to be one of the best in the Cape. Now sadly it's just about the worst. With only 3 or 4 customers in the place they just don't seem to care. They can't blame it on the pandemic either. For example they served me scampi with spaghetti instead of the advertised angel hair and when I complained the waitress responded Oh gee I think they just ran out. I told her tell the chef, they have it at Publix I just bought some yesterday. All the other meals served to my party were equally bad. Don't eat here; all the other restaurants in the Cape are booming after the reopen. NOT PINCHERS! read more

While staying at the Westin, we wandered around the shopping area and ended up at Pinchers for a late lunch/early dinner. The restaurant was not crowded at all so we were seated quickly. The decor, menu, and price point is on par with other seafood chains (like Joe's Crab Shack or Red Lobster) and the staff was friendly. We started our meal with the cheese crab dip and a couple margaritas. The dip was very good, more like a fondue, served with tortilla chips. While it seemed to be more cheese than crab, it was pretty tasty. After filling up on cheese and chips (oops), we opted to split a meal. We decided on the shrimp scampi on angel hair (served with garlic bread), a side Caesar salad, and a couple sangrias to wash it all down. The pasta was excellent, albeit a little heavy on the butter. My companion and I were so full by the end of the meal, we didn't even notice that our server had forgotten our salad until we got back to the room (more on that later). Our server, Deano, was friendly and encouraged us to take our time and relax, which we did. This was a great little spot and my husband decided that he really wanted to return to try the seared ahi tuna... which we did... the next day for lunch. On our second visit within 24 hours, we went in with a game plan that would end with us getting to try a slice of key lime pie (we were too full on day #1). When we arrived, we asked for Deano but he wasn't working. We also casually mentioned our forgotten salad and our server was more than happy to comp us one on this visit. Along with our salad, we had the aforementioned ahi, some hushpuppies, and and the crab rangoons. The salad was very good (and worth waiting for), but the ahi was a little disappointing. The meat itself was decent quality with a nice sear, but served with a little dish of soy sauce and not much else. All in all, it was pretty "meh". The rangoons were pretty tasty and filled with fresh crab. The hushpuppies were awesome. This time, we'd saved room for pie and were so glad we did. I saw another reviewer who hated it, but we thought it was perfect -- creamy, not too tart, with a nice graham crust. I guess it's a matter of taste (pun intended) but I'd recommend it. Both days, the bills were reasonable, but that could also have been from the sticker shock of getting room service for breakfast. If you're in the area (particularly if you're staying at the Westin), I'd highly recommend swinging by Pinchers for a quick, casual lunch or dinner on the marina. read more

Another fantastic visit to Pincher's. The location and food can't be beat. Great portion sizes and 2 for 1 on many drinks. I always get one of the shrimp platters and am never disappointed. Our server Amber was wonderful. BUT extremely rude, ignorant, inept managerial behavior ruined what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. We will never return, as there are a plethora of quality waterfront restaurants where patrons are treated with dignity and respect. We were seated at outside tables where it was extremely hot and unbearable. We politely asked for the screen to be lowered. Taylor informed us that they would NOT lower the screen as the inside patrons were enjoying the warm weather. It mattered nothing to him that we were very uncomfortable!!! Taylor was adamant that we would have to tolerate the situation. We asked the server to move is just inside the doorway. Which she graciously did. Then Smitty and Wade came over and things got real ugly and emotionally embarrassing for all seven of us seated at that table. Wade and Smitty were both way out of line. Wade was the most obnoxious - he continually spoke over one of our party who was trying to inform him of our concerns. He refused to listen and was totally arrogant and belligerent. This is totally unacceptable behavior from anyone in a management position. Wade needs, in my opinion, retraining in people skills or relegated to the back of the kitchen washing dishes. read more

We were all excited to do a family dinner for Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, the food was a HUGE disappointment. We never ever send food back, however the fried clam dinners, were undercooked and not fresh. It's obvious that they were frozen and refrozen several times. The grouper sandwich was also not fresh. As a charter boat family, we know what fresh seafood should taste like and this was obviously low quality seafood products. To be honest, we could have gotten better food at a snack bar. Even after returning the food, we were never approached by a manager or anyone that seemed to care. Obviously for sea food we will be dining elsewhere in Cape Coral. read more

Over the years, Pinchers has been a neighborhood favorite for my parents, who live nearby. But during a recent visit, it seems that the challenge of understaffing and inexperienced managers was at play. Many dishes were unavailable. One of the dishes available turned out to be unavailable after the rest of the table was served. All of this would be excusable if the manager had handled the bill properly. Nope. We were charged for the unavailable dish, plus the replacement dish. Grrr. Again, all of this would still be excusable if the manager had come right back over when we noted the error. Instead, we waited and waited. Then *another* manager came - someone who kept blaming the short-staffed kitchen and his own lack of training for the cascading errors. The only saving grace was our excellent and kind server, who got stuck in the middle of this mess. The food is decent, and generally a good value. But we may wait a while before returning. read more

Dinner at Pinchers was exciting! Located in a beautiful part of the Cape. I sensed the 'sports bar' vibe as soon as we were seated. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table (however they offer a call ahead option and send text updates. There are also shops and such to stroll through), I would consider the environment loud but family friendly, the views amazing and the food delicious. The menu has a lot of options and fair prices. My husband and I have been to Pinchers in Cape Coral, Ft. Myers and Naples and let me just say the food has always been inconsistent. It has ranged from acceptable to very good for no apparent reason at multiple locations so I can't negatively review one particular restaurant. For the money the portions are generous and the restaurant usually has a two for one beer/Margarita option which is nice. The servers are usually very upbeat and helpful. Our last foray into the world of seafood at the Ft. Myers Pincher's was the last straw. I have always ordered the grilled grouper platter which comes with two sides, I usually have the cole slaw and green beans which are probably two of the more healthy options available. However, on further inquiry about the preparation of aforementioned green beans, they are in fact, slathered in garlic butter. Sigh...The grouper was covered in spices, such that it was almost indistinguishable and inedible. We summoned the waitress and explained the problem, and took away the offending entrée. The waitress then asked me how I would like it prepared. I answered plain with a little salt and pepper. Suffice it to say that the order that came out was covered in pepper and also inedible. The waitstaff either does not listen well to the diners and/or the chef is heavy-handed with the spices. It makes me a little leery of what the kitchen may be trying to cover up with all the spices and seasonings being used. Spices should enhance the protein portion of the program not overpower it. A manager came to the table at this point and said they would take 50% off the price of the entrée off the bill which was a nice gesture, however, since the meal was left uneaten, IMHO should have been removed totally from the bill. We have enjoyed many good meals at Pinchers in Cape Coral. A little expensive but the delicious food makes up for it. My wife and I went there today, 6/10/22, but left because of being so mistreated by the person doing the seating. My wife in handicapped and is exhausted by just walking 10 to 15 feet. Today was especially difficult because she had just undergone her treatment. I asked to be seated at a close seat because of her phusical limitations. The person proceeded to take us to the far end of the restaurant but I asked for something closer. He then tried to seat us at a booth with a very large step-up. When I looked back at my wife, she was standing at a table very close to the entrance. He refused to seat us there. When I asked if Pinchers had a policy on acomidaing customers with disabilities he said no. Apparently Pinchers has an exemptions fro the Americans With Disabilities Act. So if you or a loved one has a disability or if you are disgusted with how Pinchers treats those that suffer, I would recommend not going there. read more

Great seafood and customer service! I usually come here during stone crab season, and more recently went during off-season. I had snow crab legs and the chowder (both great). I would also recommend some of the mixed drinks- there is one that tastes exactly like an orange creamsicle that was addicting. These bigger drinks are made to share though, so order for 2 people! read more

I recognize this place. This is all the same decor stuff that was in the North Fort Myers location, just transplanted. I came here in early January. I was told I should go to the bar area to dine, as I was by myself. I found an empty table by the bar, and watched server, after server pass by. Nobody said hello or acknowledged me. They all looked miserable. I then went back to the hosts and was seated at a table in the regular dining area. They kind of had that look that said, "we know". My server; not completely unpleasant, but not fun to talk to either. It was kind of like going through a grocery check-out. Atmosphere? The kitchen has these big windows where you can look in on them. That might be nice during the day, but the bright fluorescent lights really look ugly in the late evening. They should really rethink that. My food? It's the last thing I've mentioned. Perhaps that should be a hint. I had a crab cake with my meal. The menu warns that it's so fresh, you might have a bite of crab shell. No, every bite had bits of crab shell. Crab shell, crab shell, crab shell. Crunch, crunch, crunch. Stupid amounts of crab shell. The fish? I don't remember. Crab shell? Ugly lights? Unhappy staff? That's what I remember. read more

Maybe it was an off night? The four of us got seated in a booth with crumbs on the seat. I asked the hostess to wipe them off and I think she just pushed it to the far side of the bench and spilled some on the table. I let it go and just scooted the crumbs out of the way. Our table ordered raw oysters, hush puppies, clam chowder, blue crab clusters, fish fry, peel and eat shrimp, and fried shrimp platter. The appetizers and chowder were good. Although the hush puppies were a bit over doughy. As for the main entrees, let's say the fried shrimp was probably the best. The crab clusters were over cooked and dry. The peel and eat shrimp tasted like it's been underwater the whole day. The fried fish was just there. Being from the Midwest and Canada, we expected real seafood worth the price. read more

Come for the view, expect mediocre service and hope for decently cooked food. This place is hit or miss for us. We almost always have a problem with something. Either the food is good and the service is poor or vice-versa. It shows because the place is frequently empty. We were introduced to this location by friends when we moved to the Cape. During our first visit, we knew then we would become locals to this restaurant. We enjoy coming here to relax while having a good "affordable" meal while looking out over the beautiful marina. The staff is pleasant and professional. I contribute the well-trained staff to its management. My family appreciates when the manager stops by to ask us about the food and service. Horrible service - requested extra lemon for my tea and regular rather than mango salsa for my fish tacos and didn't get either until I requested twice more. Fish tacos - dried out over cooked tilapia, mostly lettuce and a bit of tomato, no flavor at all - 2 tacos for $14.95! Yikes! Hubby got a crab cake which was just ok ... $16.95 for one crab cake that came with cole slaw and not great fries. All in all, a highly disappointing dinner. read more

Great location, would suggest coming on a cool night and sitting outside. Food is decent, you can tell its fresh. Went with some wings oysters and seafood cheese dip. That being said prepare to pay extra due to the location. I took my girlfriend and mother here Friday night since it was my girls bday and mines happened to be the night before..she loved the view and location but in her words "16.00 dollars for a sandwich! " will set the tone with entree prices. Had the food been a little better I would of gave them 4 stars I mean when your ordering 3 apps and had only 3 drinks (we each had a drink) and paying over 60 bucks you expect the wings to at least be near perfect (also note their wings are small..I love small wings..my girl not so much..), however waiter was nice and friendly and the people dining at the restaurant were extremely friendly to take some great pictures with random strangers read more

I have been to the Pinchers in Fort Myers once before and really enjoyed it. As we are staying in Cape Coral on this trip I thought we would give this one a try. I had the blackend shrimp with fries and cole slaw. The shrimp was excellent. Two skewers of shrimp was plenty for me. The fries were very much over cooked and cold. My wife had 4 stone crab claws. They arrived cold, which surprised my wife. I really don't know is stone crab claws are normally served warm or not, but these were straight off the ice. The staff were all excellent. Our server was Cory. He explained the menu very well, and was helpful in choosing a nice 2 for 1 beer. Always happy hour at Pinchers. read more

As some friends were walking around the pier, we stopped in to Pinchers to sit at the bar and wait. The bartender Ramsay was a great guy who helped with whatever questions we had. The only food we ordered was the coconut shrimp appetizer, and the person I was with said it was the best she's had. I'm used to the crappy coconut shrimp that has no actual coconut flavor, so I was surprised when the breading was as flavorful as it was. Our friends said it's a great place to get crabs and seafood in the Cape. Since we didn't order anything else while we were there, I can't comment further, but just that appetizer was enough to put Pinchers at the top of my list when looking for seafood. read more

My wife and I are staying at The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village (5 stars) and decided to eat here because of the location; not to mention the 2 for 1 drinks all day, every day, and were in the mood for seafood. It was 9:30 p.m., On a Friday and were surprise to see it was not busy (first red flag.) We were seated immediately, greeted by our server, and he promptly took our drink order (2 margaritas, and an ice tea.) Waited almost 5 minutes for our drinks to finally arrive. The cocktails were not served in margarita glasses, but in 4oz water glasses. We ordered 1/2 dozen oysters, and wimpy wings as appetizers. I ordered the grouper sandwich, my wife ordered soup and salad. We waited for approximately 15 minutes for our appetizers to arrive. In the meantime we had already finished our margaritas and were ready for another. When our appetizers were served, the oysters came with 1 fork for two people. Ordered another round of margaritas. The blackened grouper sandwich consisted of the grouper between a non-toasted burger bun, lettuce, and tomato. It was lightly seasoned on one side and tasted bland. The french fries tasted like they used the same frier they use for fish, and had not been changed for some time. My wife loved the chowder, the only highlight of the dinner. Can't screw up a salad. Half way through our order another server brings us someone else's dinner. To summarize, the service and the food was below average at best. Long John Silver provides better service and food. Not worth the $55 bill; only left $5 tip. My wife and I would forgive the service, if they were busy. read more

We had a party of 4 adults and 1 toddler. We called ahead 30 mins to get on list had when we got there at 5 pm, we got right in. Happy hour (2 for 1 drinks) was still going on. We all loved our food. Added bonus they don't allow people to smoke or vape at the open bar so we didn't have to smell smoke during our meal. Excellent food and service and view. Highly recommend!! read more
