We dined here twice while vacationing on Marco Island. The first time was a Saturday night so we chalked up the very long wait for food to the fact it was a weekend. We came back on a Wednesday. We were our servers only table and one of 4 total tables overall. The service was just as slow overall if not slower. I also asked for a side of a certain type of French fry only typically available on the kids menu. The waitress told me I couldn't have it. I was willing to pay normal side price for just a little amount or even more but she just rudely told me I couldn't have it. Meanwhile we dined at a fancy restaurant right across the parking lot and they got me a dish I happened to mention in passing that wasn't even on their menu. My boyfriend spilled his drink while we were here at this restaurant and unfortunately and at least 3 servers were right behind him and they all ran away. No towel no refill for a while. No food still an hour later. There are restaurants you frequent each year you visit (the place across the road that went above & beyond) and and those you just don't return. We have no reason to return here. The food was ok/bland. The service was bad. The speed was SLOW. read more

I really liked this restaurant! I got the lil' less fish and chips & I thought they were very good! Plus, I LOVED their coleslaw and hand-cut fries! In addition their tartar sauce was very flavorful. I think you get a lot of food for your money. However, I will say my dad didn't think their fries were any special. Overall, I would comeback again. We went back for another visit and stumbled on the best Crab Rangoon we've ever had!. We actually ended up eating at this restaurant 3 times during our vacation, two times ordering the Crab Rangoon. What a pleasure finding Pinchers. Just driving through on my way to Sanible Island and got hungry. The place look nice and we gave it a shot, glad we did. I give this four stars based on the two for one drinks and that the kids ate for free when we ordered an entree. This is a relaxed brown paper table cloth Applebee's-esk Seafood joint. The Rangoon wontons with some Asian style sauce were really good. I tried the soft shell crab in butter and garlic. I didn't dig it but some say it is an acquired taste. Party of 8 and I didn't hear any complaints about the food. Beers and margaritas were good especially for the price. One thing I have noticed is the craft beer selection blows on Marco island and that holds true for Pinchers. Food was decent. On that I'd give it 4 stars. I had fish and chips and wife had salad with grouper. Its the overall experience that was poor. Food took forever to arrive and was missing items. How do you forget chips (fries) on fish and chips? 2 for one drinks, not so...was charged for two moderately decent mojitos at $10 each. The final disappointing element was the hour long blood curdling screams from a child and the staff behavior that it was normal... wife had to take 2 Advil before dinner was through and she's a lifelong teacher. We were visiting Marco Island for a quick get away and stopped into Pinchers for lunch and a few drinks at the bar with the most wonderful bar tender, Nathalie! She was so kind and fun! She treated us with a warm welcome and took such great care of us. We felt like we didn't have to ask for anything. Loved it. Cheesy interior- yes. I would've said tourist spot-yes, except a local couple came up to my table to say hi to the baby, so maybe not purely tourist. Oysters-loved! (In full disclosure, I'm not an oyster expert). Crab & cheese dip is queso with crab in it (yessss). Walked over to Pinchers and had a very nice experience. Michael our waiter made the meal a fun time and went thru the menu and 2 for 1 drinks very carefully. He really was an excellent waiter! We all had different meals with the ladies having shrimp tacos they loved, buddy had broiled fish which was good but he would have like blackened better but it was his choice. I had ribs being allergic to shellfish and they were most excellent. All meals came with 2 sides. It is clear we would go back as we thought the value was pretty good. Open air seating with long tables surrounded by railing and shrubs. Active bar with lots of seating. 80's rock music makes fun mood. We ordered the appetizer crab cakes w stone mustard aioli. Food was served quickly and cooked perfectly and aioli is light and delicious with crab cake. Paid $15 for each crab cake. Did not come with potato chips or French fries. Cocktail sauce, tartar sauce and hot sauce are available in squeeze bottles on the table. Management staff was friendly. Initially I was turned off because the bar tender ignored me and finally I asked if I order at the bar. She said I'll get you a waitress. Then bar tender spoke to other couple sitting at the bar and continued to ignore me. Eventually, within ten minutes, a manager noticed us sitting with no service. She remarked that we didn't go through the seating hostess. She brought out our food and check and took good care of us. Our "waitress" walked by us once to say "all set?" but was not attentive. Holy Crabmolie! Couldn't get into my yelp account when I was here, so I am posting now. It was soo good we went back the next day for dinner. We started with the crab and cheese dip and the crab rangoon. Both were amazing and delicious. Everything was fresh. We got the lobster, peel n eat shrimp, and the crab cakes. So good so fresh. Better yet they have specials were kids eat free and they have happy hour drinks almost all day for the adults. Simply Amazing! We stopped by while cruising through Marco Island on our way back to Miami. It was noon on Sunday and the restaurant was not full. We were seated immediately and told of their specials. All day, everyday is happy hour with 2 for 1. They also have happy hour appetizers from 3-6 pm. Our server was Bridgette and she was very attentive and friendly. The bathrooms were also very clean and well supplied. We had the crab cheese dip which was very tasty. It got better as a dip as it cooled though. The conch fritters had pieces of conch with a hush puppy batter that was not greasy and served with a spicy mayo. The fish and chips had 2 large pieces of flaky fish, lightly battered with cole slaw and seasoned steak fries. I would go back when in the area. read more

First, we chose this restaurant from many others based on reviews, We were quickly seated outside on the back patio, which was awesome. Our drinks and food took forever to arrive. Everyone around us was unhappy with their orders which should have been our first clue, but we weren't sure exactly what was going on with it. Food was okay as long as you don't order from the grill. 25$ for a grilled fish plate that was seriously inedible. Everyone else who had fried cheaper options thought it was "okay". No one checked in to ask, so when we told the waitress at the end of our meal, her response was "would you like dessert?" Must be a pretty common occurrence here. The crabs are good. The clam chowder was okay. The place was pretty dead and the caesar salad was super old, they didnt charge so did not reflect in review. I only give poor reviews when I feel there's a consistent problem in a place I only visited once. The family wanted it to due to its free kids meals and the fact we went to the beach and were beginning to crave seafood. I saw the reviews being poor, but as still a child in the family, I didn't say anything. The wait was estimated 40min at 8p on Tuesday. Upon being seated we made a plan to order our food with our drinks. The guests next to us began to complain that we were getting our orders taken first (they had their appetizers however). Our waitress had to continuously apologize for numerous waits. She did try her best but lack of waiters, cooks, and care made her job harder. We had to send our free kids meal back. Grilled cheese, only nothing grilled. Brought back, practically nothing was changed. My brother ultimately decided he didn't want it. Two stars however, since the rest of the food was not that bad. But it was very expensive for the quality. I will note, however, I did disliked the description of 'so fresh there might be shells in it' as I never got that problem with my favorite seafood places' crab cakes.
