We traditionally vacation in Bonita Springs, and always make a point to stop at the Pinchers in Naples. This year, we were vacationing in Marco, so gave the Marco Island location a try. We went on a Wednesday, at 6:30 PM and we were able to walk right in and get a table. They were busy with several large birthday groups, but the staff was very attentive and got to our orders very quickly. We started off with an order of hush puppies, one of our favorite items at Pinchers. They come out burning hot, but are so delicious you can't wait to dig into them. We all got shrimp dinners, and they have about eight different ways you can order your shrimp - grilled, fried, coconut, boom boom, and more. I especially like the fact that you can order a smaller version of the dinner. It still gives you all the options of the larger size dinner, but this way we can enjoy an appetizer and not have to worry about having a lot of leftovers. The platters give you several options as sides, and this evening our favorite option, the applesauce, was out, so that was a disappointment. This place got the job done. I came in with some friends. And we sat down. Looking at the menu, I immediately knew what I wanted - shrimp scampi. And when it came, it definitely hit the spot. Was it special, I wouldnt say it was. But if shrimp scampi is what you want, then it's going to be what you'll get. On point and predictable. And tasty. The service was excellent. The waitress was attentive and kind, esp considering my dinner mates really didnt know what they wanted and she kept having to come back to check in with us several times. We came for a weekday lunch which made the place quiet and the service attentive. I believe we were the only table there for a little while. I didnt try anything else so I cant comment on those. Pinchers was a great surprise to us. Right across from the Marriott we were at it was not one of our restaurants we were tracking to try but glad we did. Our server Tonya was hustling all night! We arrived for dinner on a Friday night. Pinchers could accommodate our party of seven within 10 minutes of arrival while we admired the very large slices of cake on display. We were informed this was the actual serving size! Service was slow, and it took a while for our food to arrive at the table. The menu is varied, with something for everyone to try. The best part is that substitutions are allowed. I ordered the crab cake meal with two crab cakes. One crab cake is on the menu for those with less than a hungry appetite. My two sides were the rice and green beans. After eating all my food, I ordered the deep-fried key lime pie. This was a fairly new item on the menu and one of the managers convinced me to try it. Although I ate it all (I hadn't had much dessert all week), I wished I had gotten the regular key lime pie. I didn't get a lot of key lime flavor. I have been chasing "the best cheeseburger" on Marco island for years. Some establishments have closed or changed ownership/recipe thus continuing my search. Honesty the "fast food style and kids eat free" glowing sign is a big turn off for me but I find myself repeatedly returning for what I feel can be the bast burger on Marco Island....nothing fancy, perfectly seasoned cheeseburger (with bacon of course). The bun is unapologetically just a good bun that resembles a hard roll... no fancy brioche or pretzel or whatever everyone else trys to fancy-up the menu. As for the fries.. they are perfect - and the actually taste like potatoes! No cornstarch dusting to fake crispiness or over seasoning needed like most other establishments. These fries look and taste like fresh cut fries. Since I have only eaten the burgers here (with the exception of a not so good crab cheese dip that was "off") I feel i can't give it 5 stars but the burger sure deserves them! read more

The establishment has open air cabana over hang bar on the outside, w/ wrap around on the inside with A/C. Candy is the bartender, it's about 1pm. She goes thru the greatest hits on the menu and says it's also Happy Hour 2 for 1. Excellent service! Ambiance is smooth Kenny Chesney and Bob Seger over the speakers. We order margaritas. The stone crabs are the game for today!! Piling through the meal, we order another round of margies. Candy says, "What's the rush?" I said, "Happy Hour, how long is it?" We love pinchers! However, we live on the East Coast of Florida and there are no locations by us. So when whenever we travel to the West Coast we make sure to stop by. Today we're in Marco Island so we visited the location on Collier Drive. First the food is always good. We enjoyed raw oysters and steamed clams during and happy hour at $1.50 each and $.99 each. Great price! Beers, wine, and margaritas are also two for one door and happy hour. For dinner, we had shrimp scampi, which was very delicious, and the grouper sandwich. But the dessert was ridiculous! A ginormous piece of chocolate cake short to satisfy any sweet tooth. The very best part of our visit was our server, CJ. The service was absolutely outstanding and if you visit this location, I highly recommend asking to sit in his section. This is busy Florida. Everything was great at Pinchers, except the staff were laxed about wearing masks. The nose wasn't covered, or it was hanging down from one ear. Most patrons did not enter wearing masks. We arrived 7:15 on a Sunday evening. The wait was long, so we asked to sit and eat at the bar. Best choice! The waiters there were friendly. They explained the menu specials, 1/2 price drinks, cleaned the area. Boy, they were busy. The wait for the food wasn't long. We started with a Blue Moon and the best fruity sangria, which was Cav based. Our meals, red snapper and a soft crab sandwich, came with two sides. We chose the baked beans, applesauce and coleslaw. Delicious. The soft crab was small on the bun, but it was locally caught and $18. I liked it. We shared a signature Key Lime pie slice. It was nicely tart.
