We went on a Sunday evening so it was a little slow, but that was good because we didn't want a crowd. We split the 2 for 1 margaritas and ordered twice so we each had 2 and they were pretty strong for the price they are. I had the corn and crab chowder, which was okay, and the famous fish and chips with fries and garlic bread as my sides. The fish was good, but I'm not sure I'd consider it a favorite like listed on the menu. My bf had the king crab with green beans and garlic bread. The crab was good, but the green beans had no flavor and were too crunchy for our liking. If I'm back in the Naples area idk if I'd go here immediately but I would maybe go back one day. read more

Pinchers is the type of almost-hole-in-the-wall type of place you expect in most beach towns. It has the potential to have a fun atmosphere but we were there in the off-season and on a rainy day so it was pretty slow. Our server was friendly and attentive and was thorough in explaining the menu and specials. We got two for one margaritas; they were what I expected. I could *feel* the alcohol but I couldn't taste it. I got 1/2 dozen oysters for happy hour (we were there right at 6 when it was ending and our waiter managed to get us the special which was appreciated). The oysters felt a little dirty/gritty but still were good. My son got the kids chicken tenders which were pretty standard and he had no complaints. My husband got the shrimp po'boy which "looked better than it tasted" because it was pretty bland. I got fried soft shell crab which was my first time ever having it and I really enjoyed it. We all enjoyed the hand cut fries. 3 stars because everything felt a little dirty and was decently greasy. It was kind of expected walking in to the place. I have mixed feelings about this place. I really wanted to love it, especially since it was recommended by a family member. Oh, where do I start? HAPPY HOUR It's a good deal for the oysters at $1.50 each. However, when you get your order, check the shells and make sure there is a decent sized oyster in the shell. We had a couple that were questionable. The peel and eat shrimp with the Old Bay seasoning was ok. My friend thought they weren't evenly seasoned. Margaritas were decent at 2 for 1. My boyfriend was told that he couldn't give his second margarita to me - apparently this is a policy....so be careful when you order! DINNER I was told by a friend that I must order the hot crab and cheese dip. My group and I were disappointed with the LACK of actual crab in the dip. It tasted good, but seriously, just call it cheese dip with crab flavor. The menu online says it's spicy. I did not catch that flavor profile. I put my name in, went to the bar for happy hour while we waited, then got the text notification that my table was ready. I ran over to the host station to tell them that my party is here but we have to close out our happy hour tab (they wouldn't let us get our order delivered to our table). It took a while to close out the tab because they were slammed at the bar. When I went back up to the host station, they said it took me too long and they gave my table away. What? I was waiting for the check! I was really annoyed when they tried to blame me. They put my name back on the list and said my party would be next. I purposely waited right by the host stand until they could figure it out. I am nice but not a door mat. We did like our servers. Alex was the first server who took care of my party. He was very helpful when we were trying to figure out happy hour options. For dinner, Jeremy was our server. He was nice, but seemed a little frazzled. Maybe they were short-staffed? "You Can't Fake Fresh" and Pinchers is not good at faking fresh. The stone crabs were the worst I've had in Southern Florida, even the ones I get in Minnesota are fresher. I also had the conch fritters and they should remove the word conch from the menu, there was no conch, just fritter. I would describe the other meals at our table, but they were so boring it is not worth describing. We started with the peel and eat shrimp and raw clams happy hour. They were good. I got the mahi mahi with the seafood stuff was good besides the cold rice and cold fries. Allow me up confirm (as of today) on what's already to be said: Pinchers at Tin City is the consummate tourist destination with views of Naples Harbor. Oh, the food? Typically mediocre. My guest and I ordered the shrimp combos. I had it bbq'd and she had it coconut-ed. My basket had 2 skewers with many shrimp, many because they were so small I think I've used larger ones for bait. They came with uncooked BBQ sauce on top. I'd expect it to be grilled so that the sauce has a slight char. Oh well. The coconut shrimp were breaded and fried so they looked larger. The sides were VERY small: Cole slaw, ~ 8 steak fries, but 2 reasonable-sized pieces of garlic bread. Service was a little slow but I had a lot to talk about with my guest so it wasn't horrible. VERY expensive for what you get! Bottom line: It is what it is. If you manage your expectations you shouldn't be too disappointed. read more

I have diner here countless of times with few issues before. Today, I walked in to place a to-go order with my 3 year old toddler. The hostess said she could not help me with my to-go order that it HAD to be placed at the bar. I know well that a toddler cannot be at the bar. The bartender then proceeded to give me a hard time about me placing my order at the bar because of my 3 year old. I was not ordering any drinks for myself, just trying to place a to go food order. He was refusing to even take my order until I removed my 3 year old from the bar. If he could have quickly just taken my order, I wouldn't have had the stress. Where am I supposed to put my toddler while trying to place my to go order??? He's not going to leave my side and I'm not going to leave him alone somewhere else. I think the servers lack common sense here and honestly it was extremely unsympathetic or kind toward a single parent. I was going to order myself food as well but after the rude treatment, they've lost my business. Update: when my 3 year old began to eat his kid's cheeseburger I ordered him to go, he kept spitting his bites out saying there was sand in his cheeseburger. I took a bite. Sure enough, there was a heavy texture to the burger that definitely felt like you were chewing sand. I took the burger apart and under only the cheese, little black chards way bigger than sand or pepper grains, all under the CHILDREN'S cheese part of the cheeseburger I order for my 3 year old who that bartender clearly saw I was ordering for. I have never been so inclined to write a poor review on a restaurant's food. Our waiter was beyond kind and complementary but oh my gosh, I was scared even putting it near my mouth. Ambience, staff but wait ... not worth it. Tried last year had a 1.5 hour wait to be seated then an hour to get food. Thought maybe w bad night. So we are here again and it only took 30 minutes to be seated, 10 minutes for drink and order. It's now 50 minutes and still for food. My family and I went for Mother's Day weekend and the food was great the ambiance was nice until a customer sitting 1 table away felt something crawl on her foot. When she looked down it was what looked like a cockroach. She freaked out and of course was grossed out as we were as well BUT then the unimaginable happened seconds after. What became 1 was 2 then 3 then 4 and 5. I jumped out the window as I was sitting near the dock and my husband notice one on the wall which my 8 year old daughter ran away. They were Palmetto Bugs flying and it was awful. They look exactly like cockroaches. We ran out of there as the other table yelled for their check.
