Luckily a parking spot opened so we could move our car to the lot and wait in it. So finally we were seated and the place is just kind of old and dirty. Ok fine. My kids had chicken and fries from the kids menu, I had the Reuben and fries and my husband had the clam basket. Prices were fair and our waitress was nice. The food was fine, not great but not gross. I will return only if I have to, if we're in the area and my kids are hangry.

Why do that to your customers? Unfortunately, it didn't stop there. When we arrived, he was again rude and dismissive, seating us at a tiny table in the corner of the bar that was clearly too small for dinner. Thankfully, the manager stepped in, rescued the evening, and moved us to the main dining room, where we ended up having a wonderful night with our friends. She also checked in throughout the evening to make sure our experience improved, and her professionalism genuinely turned things around. As for the food: we ordered the Smoked Fish Pate appetizer, the Grilled Salmon, and the Artichoke and Goat Cheese Ravioli. The pate was exceptional -- layered, balanced, and memorable. The salmon was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and refreshingly not buried under heavy marinades. The ravioli was also excellent. We had a little mishap with our main course in that one arrived much later than the others, and a guest's braised beef dish was a little on the cool side.
