It is not easy to find good quality watermelon Dole Whip. On Kaua'i, there's a small place on Koloa, but the texture is more watered down and not creamy. The same with the place on the 2nd floor of the International Marketplace in Waikiki, if they even carry it any more. Disneyland doesn't even have it anymore and they were the best I had before they discontinued it. Swirls in Upland has it, but there was a long line and I haven't tested it yet. I am so stoked to be this close to Pineapple Lagoon! They have 11 flavors, so I must try the other flavors too. The owner, Brian, and his wife are so cool and friendly. The tiki decor is a nice touch as well. This place is popular and the summer will rock for them! Give them a visit and you'll be glad you did. The presentation is so nice, with the garnishes and umbrella. Mahalo nui loa, Brian!
Pineapple Lagoon really hits the spot after a long day of hiking! It's a small little shop in the corner of this plaza. I got a sample of pomegranate and peach and they were both delectable! Although I ended up choosing the peach. There are many flavors and swirls of flavors to choose from each day. They also have fresh fruits as well as other add-ons to your cup. I chose a peach and mango cup with fresh strawberries and tajin powder. I really loved how fresh and sweet the strawberries were, thy complemented my dessert very well! Out of the two, I loved the mango more. It was sweet and delicious and went well with the fresh strawberries add on I picked. They also had some deals for pints to bring home as well so that's pretty neat as well for next time.
So fun! The whimsical, eclectic ocean decor makes this place feel super playful, and the vibe is happy all around. They offer 2 samples per person (which you'll need because the fruity flavors all sound amazing.) I love that some are creamy while others are more icy and refreshing, aka the best of both worlds! Service is super friendly and upbeat. The portions are MASSIVE. I got a 9oz and could barely finish it. Creamy mango is my favorite so far, but honestly, you can't go wrong with any flavor here. Absolutely coming back!
So happy to be able to have access to some dole whip aside from Disneyland! Sooo refreshing & appreciate li hing mui as a topping option. Prices are soso reasonable for the amount that you are getting and the staff is incredibly accommodating! The shop is quite small but the decor really lives up to the name of the shop. Definitely could get packed inside when business is busy. There was a mix-up in orders and we had waited longer than other customers who ordered after us. We appreciated that the sweet owner noticed and gave us a complimentary quart-sized dole whip to take home, for patiently waiting. We'll be returning when we have cravings for a sweet treat!
Got a 9oz pineapple mango swirl to share with my friend. It was only around $6 and a good amount for the two of us. I liked both flavors but the pineapple was def stronger They also allow up to two samples per person. The samples are def big enough that you could share them and try more flavors if you want though
Nice small, cozy shop. The owner is really nice and understanding and you really feel comfortable. Great service. The dole whip itself is great. I loved the pineapple dole whip and they have many other flavors, as well as toppings to add to make your very own creation. My sister got a lime and pomegranate. It worked really well if you're looking for a more acidic taste to contrast the sweet.
I got the Mango Pineapple Swirl Dole Whip and thought it was really good! The soft serve tastes very similar to the Dole Whip you can get at Disneyland, which I loved. I also appreciated that they let you sample the flavors before ordering. They offer a great variety of flavors, so there's something for everyone. I'll definitely be back to try more!
This place is SO CUTE! My bf found it on IG down the street from his house so we decided to try it. The decor on the inside was soooo tropical and I felt like I was in Hawaii. I liked how many options they had for dole whip along with flavors of the day, and a lot of toppings to choose from. It was delicious! I loved the swirl flavors. It was a very popular location with the line outside but the service was extremely fast! We will def be back!
Wow! Forget Disneyland and go support this small business! Way better prices and so many more options plus fun toppings!! I was in the mood for pineapple dole this particular day but this shop offers so many other flavors I wanted them all. I sampled the watermelon and omg I'm definitely coming back for it! Love the fun decor of the shop and the presentation of the soft serve, you can really feel the love that goes into everything they do. The owner was so kind and shared his story behind opening this shop and it was truly inspiring. This place is just pure good vibes and yummy treats, I highly recommend checking them out.
What an absolute sweet treat! Casual shop that plays good tunes. It's fun like something plucked right out of Hawaii. We are so happy to have found this gem. They have a variety of flavors that can be mixed and matched. The service was wonderful! The family that owns and operates the store were all so nice! We will definitely be back.
Great service from the moment you walk in the door and so many flavors to try. I got the pineapple and pomegranate swirl and couldn't have been happier. The place is decorated with a tiki vibe with lots of unique little pictures everywhere. They have some really cool tiki wallpaper as well. The decor gives a good background to take photos of your Dole whip for social media. The staff also keep the place very clean. If you like Dole whip you have to come here. So many unique flavors!

We LOVED the pineapple floats here! Since it was a hot day, we wanted to try something new and refreshing. We are so happy we stopped by. The owner is so friendly, and we sampled some flavors before ordering. We ended up picking the 16oz float with pineapple, peach, and orange. Pineapple is definitely the best flavor, but orange would be the second best. The flavors are super tasty and light. We were surprised that we devoured the whole cup even though it looked huge! Very delicious soft serve flavors here. My favorite has to be the peach soft serve. I like to buy the quart size to keep in my freezer to enjoy throughout the week. Looks like the flavors rotate weekly. Please bring back the peach flavor! read more

Had dinner at the KBBQ in this plaza yesterday and as we were leaving , we noticed Pineapple Lagoon so we decided to check it out . As soon as we walked in , we were approached by the owner apologizing if the Islander decorations offended me and my cousin , I guess they been getting that feedback recently. I told the owner , no offense taken at all , matter fact I smiled as soon as I saw the interior , it gave me comfort because it reminded me of home . Ice Cream was even more amazing , I ended up buying two pints to take home so my family can try it . I definitely will be back when I'm in the area !!!! 5 read more

Great little hidden spot in Garden Grove. Many flavors to try from and their menu changes frequently , rotating in refreshing flavors. You'll get the awesome dole whip experience without the Disney prices. Owner is super nice and welcoming . Definitely a spot worth trying if you haven't yet. read more
Awesome new soft serve spot in Garden Grove! Love how they have daily swirls so you can try different combos. I ordered the 16oz which lets you choose 3 flavors (swirls included) so I got the pomegranate, raspberry and lime swirl, and the cherry and mango swirl. I really like how the swirls were included rather than just making us choose singular flavors so we got the chance to try a bunch of flavors. Our favorites were the mango and the raspberry and lime swirl! The soft serves here are very light and fruity - much less dense than dole whips at Disneyland or at Joe's since it seems to have a bit more air whipped into it. The soft serves were very affordable and thought the pineapple chunk and umbrella decoration were so cute! Staff were very friendly. parking is ample in the lot, and the place is tiki themed too which is a plus! Great dessert spot, will definitely be back. read more
So many different flavors and combinations! The smallest size you can get in a cup is 9 oz which you can include 3 flavors/swirls (a two flavor swirl counts as one)! The pineapple tasted exactly like the one at Disneyland. So creamy and delicious. Customer service was on point too! Definitely coming back to try the other flavors. read more

This is such a hidden gem. I love the spot so much. The ice cream is so delicious. The service was fast and amazing and the vibe is there. It is a perfect spot to take your kid after school when they ace a test or if you wanna go on a date and make it a little fun. read more
this is THE go to spot for the summer coming up! had to go on a 40 minute drive for this but absolutely so worth it. we were greeted by very kind and patient people, they went through all the details and what there is to know. it's a small menu but you have endless combinations. never in a million years did i think to put baja blast in a dole whip float, they are on another level. 100% recommended and i will be coming here more often! read more
fun interior design but limited seating/standing space inside. there's maybe 2 small tables outside. what stood out about this place was the super friendly service! they let you try any (and all to be honest) of the samples, including the available swirls. everything also came out super fast. the pineapple dole whip was yummy! the cherry-mango swirl was more overpowering cherry, but it was still alright. both had consistent texture and the price for everything was good. the cups also came with a little pineapple slice and maraschino cherry on an umbrella (super cute)! read more

Wow! Just wow. I saw this place online and decided to give it a try. Overall, I'd say the price is fair for the amount you get. Presentation is important for many places, and they absolutely nailed it here. The taste is great as well. Finally a place that sells great dole whip opened up around here! The owners were very welcoming and gave us multiple flavors to sample. You can add up to 3 flavors in a cup. We got the pineapple and mango soft serve in a 16 oz. Portions are indeed generous. The soft serve is not too sweet and on the lighter side. What a hidden gem! I know this place just opened but I hope it gets the recognition it deserves. Amazing, unique, and authentic flavors. I stumbled upon this place when we wanted to get desserts after dinner. It was right across the street from Hmart so it was convenient. The owners were so cute. They tested out different flavors and curated their own cactus cooler dole whip. It was great that they offered different samples to us and their daughter came out to the door to greet us. It was top notch service I tell you! I love that the owners weren't just behind the counter but actively trying to get to know their customers. When they forgot to put mochi on my dole whip, they ran out with a cup of rainbow mochi! They are honest people and I recommend them any day. read more

Discovered this place on IG where the caption said if you don't have a Disney pass and are looking for your dole whip fix, this is the place to go. I can say 100% TRUE! We made the 30 minute drive here and it was well worth it. It is a small little spot in a plaza amongst a few other Korean spots. It is actually next to one of my favorite bakeries to get Cream Puffs! When we walked in, there was only one person in front of us so we did not wait long. The cashier was extremely friendly and helpful. He offered us samples of some soft serve since they had so many great flavors and swirls. We went for the Mango Pomegranate Swirl with Tajin and the Pineapple Orange Swirl with Fresh Strawberries and a side of Nerds. Both were extremely refreshing and not overly sweet. I would say that the Disney Dole Whip is a bit more creamy, but nevertheless, this one is still top notch! We got the small size for both and it was only about $6 each. This was way better of a price than the Disney one, since there's actually ice cream in the middle. IYKYK! I wish they had a location closer to us, but I am glad that this small business has blown up. We love supporting small businesses and wish them nothing but success. this new soft serve spot opened up and as someone who lives there disney dole whip i had to try! the shop owners i believe were working and they were the kindest people ever. they offer free samples so i tried their mango strawberry and pineapple. my favorite was the pineapple bc of its refreshing tartness and decided to get that in a cone. they were SO generous with their portions as you can see in the picture and stacked it so high that i accidentally dropped it (oops) but they were so kind to replace it for me. the soft serve hit the spot after a big meal and only wish is that i would have loved it to be a tad creamer/thicker. 10/10 would come back and bonus points for a super cute hawaiian themed interior :) read more
This store is located in grams bbq plaza! They had a variety of flavors to sample and they were all so good. I ended up getting the raspberry mango duo but you can even do three flavors if you really wanted too! I got the 9oz even though the cup seems small they really topped it off and it's enough to share. It's also super cheap less than $5. The owners/workers were so nice would come back again. read more

We wandered into this cute shop on a whim and was instantly transported into a tropical paradise! Right when we walked in the staff welcomed us and introduced us to what they have to offer--a variety of fruity soft serves (and you can even ask for free samples.) My partner and I are very indecisive, so we first tried the cashier's favorite flavor. Upon first taste, we were sold on the pineapple-mango. Overall a cute establishment with friendly workers that really care about what they make. I'm not a huge dole whip person but saw the amazing reviews so had to check it out for myself. If you love dole whip, this is THE spot for you. First, they have a multitude of flavors and service is great. They allow you to try all flavors as samples (and the samples are quite large for samples and are more like the small froyo cup samples rather than the tiny spoons you get at an ice cream spot). The dole whip here has a nice and creamy texture. The pineapple dole whip tastes exactly like the one in Disneyland giving it a nostalgic flavor. Also love the other flavors - my favorite are probably strawberry and mango. They also have toppings for extra charge which adds a nice crunch. They do not skimp on the smallest 9 ounce size (i was able to choose three flavors and they largely filled over the brim of the cup)! read more

The soft serve is simply so light and not sweet at all! It is very refreshing and has a bit of tangy flavor. The service is fast and you get to have a free taste if you aren't decided which flavor to get yet. We grabbed the mango-pineapple split serving and loved both the flavors. Visited this cute shop today and I had a wonderful experience. We were asked what samples we would like to try. The menu was easy to read. Our float and soft serve were presented so beautifully. The drink we ordered with the float was a cherry pepsi and we got the rest of the can too so that was a nice surprise! There's a nice small seating area, chairs and a table outside. Everything is clean and organized. The customer service is lovely. I'll be coming back! read more

Went pineapple lagoon for the first time, and promise you it won't be my last. Excellent service, got greeted right away and gave me samples to try. I feel in love with the cherry flavor right away. They been open since Oct. The place is kinda hidden, but parking lot is huge. The owner super friendly and we talk and super outgoing and goes over and beyond to make sure I leave the place with a smile. The place has such a cute them. Not as creamy and delicious but definitely not bad. Price is pretty well except when you start adding toppings and high is absurd, so be very careful. Service was good, small place so don't be spectrum to find a seat on a possible busy day. Parking lot is also congested due to multiple businesses so be prepared. read more

Definitely my newest favorite spot for dessert. I love getting the dole pineapple whip at Disneyland. This place has it for 1/3 of the cost and I don't have to buy a $100 ticket to get in. Friendly service and I love the multiple flavors to choose from. read more
