Amazing value! Only $5 for a 9oz soft serve, enough to share between two people. Vanilla is vegan, fruit flavors are tart, really delicious. Additional flavors changed out daily. Prepackaged pints are 2 for $7.80. Very friendly customer service and cute indoor decor. Highly recommend!
I was so excited to chomp the first bite that I forgot to take a picture until afterwards.. Brian and Jennifer are the owners and are so friendly and personable. It is rare to find the level of service and care that we need in hospitality and customer service. They have more Dole Whip flavors than any establishment I have ever found in person or online. They even have a root beer float swirl. Do you like Cactus Cooler soda? They have a unique swirl that can be made into a cactus cooler float, which is probably the only place that offers this. They post their flavors on Instagram regularly.
Hidden gem! So amazing! The Dole Whip tastes phenomenal! It tastes better than Disneyland--yes--I said it! On top of that, it's a MUCH better deal and "made with love" as the lady boss said! I just stumbled upon this place after having dinner at the Korean restaurant just a few doors down in the same plaza, and am so glad I did! The decor is super cute, island vibes! They have tons of flavors, but I just wanted the signature Dole Whip. Service is nice. Portions are huge! Thank you so much for these huge portions! AND, they had real fruit, a cherry, and tiki umbrella on top! The owners still have full-time jobs, so this shop is closed Monday and Tuesdays, but you gotta give them a try when they're open! It's their passion project. I can't say enough good things and am so happy I found this treasure in Garden Grove! Quality, quantity, service, etc. are wonderful. I WILL be back! I highly recommend!
Came to check out this dessert place that just opened in the Korean district! Historically, the only place you can get Dole Whip was at Disneyland, but not you can get it in many places. What I really noticed about this is place is that the specialize in fruit soft serves with various flavors. It's also super affordable. Watermelon (5/5): Tastes super calm and sweet Mango (5/5): Tangy and sweet. Strawberry (5/5): Sweet I really liked this place and will come again when I'm craving desert
I just discovered my new addiction. First it's refreshing to see a place like this in Garden Grove of all places. Second it's refreshing, literally, to taste such an awesome assortment of flavors. I sampled almost all their flavors and they were all great! And even the samples themselves were huge. Third, the quality, all as smooth as a frozen dessert can be. Truly a dole whip wonderland! :) Fourth, great customer service. Nicest guys around. Long live this place!
The service here was so welcoming and efficient. Even when they're busy, they're very patient and take the time to help you out, which really makes the experience feel warm and personal. They also let you sample a variety of flavors, which is a nice touch. This is a family-owned business, and you can really tell everything is made with care and always served fresh. There are plenty of flavor options to choose from, which makes it fun to try something new each visit. We got the regular pineapple dole whip and the mango dole whip, and both were incredibly refreshing. The mango was especially bright and flavorful, perfect for a sweet treat. When you first walk in, the vibes feel like you're stepping into a whole new place, it's super decorative and inviting, with lots of seating areas to sit, relax, and chat with family and friends. Overall, it's such a cute and refreshing spot!
It is a small shop with limited seating. Plaza has plenty of parking spaces. I highly recommend to get the pineapple one as it tastes very similar to the one at Disneyland. They also sell in pint
One if my FAVORITE little hidden spots for when I'm craving fruity soft serve that is more than just your normal every day ice cream. I truly believe that although location is key, when you have good food, people will come regardless. Not to mention, amazing service, friendly servers, and an amazing pineapply atmosphere. I love the attention to little details like how they have the whole store scented with a tropical air freshener. And the whimsy cute decor. Their dole whip is with no contest and honestly the best that I've had. I've tried other prepackaged ones and pineapple dole whip at other locations but the consistency and texture of the recipe here is kind of unmatched if I'm being honest. It's like disney's dole whip but with a bunch of different flavors. My top pick right now is the mango dole whip with chamoy powder! My husband is partial to the OG pineapple float. Even then, every single flavor we've tried here does not disappoint. This last time, I had the Strawberry & Lemon swirl. Refreshing, tart, and they are SO generous with their portions. So far, I've taken a couple of my friends here and it's safe to say that this place has landed a spot on their yelp bookmarks and probably also melted into their hearts. If you're ever looking for something not too sweet, fruity and refreshing to end the night - please give this place a try. I promise you won't regret it!
Pineapple Lagoon sounds like a Spongebob reference, looks like a tropical tiki hut, and tastes amazinggggg! You can customize in multiple ways by combining flavors, adding on their various toppings, or making it into a dole float instead! Service is super quick and helpful. The portions were filling and they top it off with a cute umbrella! I got the small-sized pineapple and mango dole whip, which was refreshing, perfect tartness, and not too sweet. It definitely tastes like the one at Disney, maybe even better since it's not as expensive.
Pineapple Lagoon is literally the goat of dessert spots. It's so cheap for a $5 cup and you get so much! Especially when I don't think I'd really be able to buy it off the shelf and get it myself unlike ice cream. They have bogo pint deals every once in awhile. Also no matter what size of cup you buy, you can get 3 flavors, and i'm pretty sure swirl whatever flavor even if it's not specifically on the menu(?) I's double check but really good flexibility! Service was also awesome with great staff and cute umbrella little topping on the cup.
A super underrated spot in Garden Grove! I've been here twice so far, and I've been impressed both times! I think Dole Whip is a super niche and untapped market, and I'm glad such a place opened near my house. The staff is super friendly, as they let you try some samples and explain the flavors/swirls. Everyone serves the desserts with a smile, and they seem to love their customers. I love their pineapple and raspberry flavors, since they have such a great balance of tart and sweet flavor, while not being overly sweet.
Pineapple Lagoon really hits the spot after a long day of hiking! It's a small little shop in the corner of this plaza. I got a sample of pomegranate and peach and they were both delectable! Although I ended up choosing the peach. There are many flavors and swirls of flavors to choose from each day. They also have fresh fruits as well as other add-ons to your cup. I chose a peach and mango cup with fresh strawberries and tajin powder. I really loved how fresh and sweet the strawberries were, thy complemented my dessert very well! Out of the two, I loved the mango more. It was sweet and delicious and went well with the fresh strawberries add on I picked. They also had some deals for pints to bring home as well so that's pretty neat as well for next time.
So fun! The whimsical, eclectic ocean decor makes this place feel super playful, and the vibe is happy all around. They offer 2 samples per person (which you'll need because the fruity flavors all sound amazing.) I love that some are creamy while others are more icy and refreshing, aka the best of both worlds! Service is super friendly and upbeat. The portions are MASSIVE. I got a 9oz and could barely finish it. Creamy mango is my favorite so far, but honestly, you can't go wrong with any flavor here. Absolutely coming back!
Great spot to get your dole whip fix! It's located in the same plaza as Gram's Korean BBQ and Manmi bakery, so there's plenty of parking spots. The owners are super friendly and encourage you to try all their different flavors of dole whip. Even with the smallest size, you can mix it up with up to 3 flavors :) In comparison to Disneyland dole whip, I do think this place is lighter/airier. Value is great and this place also has so many more flavors, which they rotate daily/weekly as well. If you check their IG, they often post the flavors of the day on their story. In a hot day, Pineapple Lagoon was the place to go, with plenty of parking and a cute Hawaiian theme decor with some indoor and outdoor seating, their treats will keep you refreshed. We got the 9oz Pineapple Orange soft serve for $5.66 and it tasted like a delicious push pop. Not to sweet or tart just the perfect balance with a slice of pineapple and a cherry with a cute umbrella. Great presentation, quick service and the workers are so kind, friendly and helpful. Really great and highly recommend checking this place out. I will be back to try the float and other flavors. read more
Hawaii is one of my favorite places to visit and if you've ever been to the Dole Plantation in Honolulu, you'll understand why I was thrilled to discover Pineapple Lagoon. This locally owned, husband-and-wife-run establishment is so cute. It's a cozy space filled with tropical-like décor and the owners are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Upon entering, they offered us samples of all their flavors. While all the flavors were refreshing and delicious, I ultimately opted for the pineapple soft serve, which transported me back to the tropical paradise of Hawaii. Mmmm it was so refreshing! The only thing that would have made it even better was the addition of some fresh cut, small pineapple pieces on top like what they offered at the Dole Plantation. There are a lot of flavor combinations to choose from! You can choose up to 3 flavors and they let you sample it as well. This is a family owned business and they are very friendly. Very happy that I don't need to go to Disneyland to get Pineapple Dole soft serve. The decor is very nice inside too. read more
You don't have to go to Disneyland anymore to get your dole whip fix. I visited Pineapple Lagoon shortly after their grand opening to try some of their Dole whip soft serve. They offer so many different flavors of dole whip I didn't even know existed like cherry, lime and pomegranate. It's owned by a sweet couple who both share the love of dole whip and a tropical tiki theme. The husband used to work as a Disney cast member for 20 years and the wife shares the same love for anything tiki and dole whip. I recently learned that they also went through some hardships during their first few days and it really touched my heart how they put so much work into their small business. I had the strawberry and original dole whip, and both tasted amazing. The swirl was generous and garnished with a pineapple and cherry. I'll for sure come back to try their other flavors as well. read more

Honestly they should charge more for their ice cream. 9oz is only $4.99 and it comes with an umbrella, cherry, and pineapple. Not a lot of places sell dole whip so it's nice that this place dedicates to that. It's also a small business. read more

We LOVED the pineapple floats here! Since it was a hot day, we wanted to try something new and refreshing. We are so happy we stopped by. The owner is so friendly, and we sampled some flavors before ordering. We ended up picking the 16oz float with pineapple, peach, and orange. Pineapple is definitely the best flavor, but orange would be the second best. The flavors are super tasty and light. We were surprised that we devoured the whole cup even though it looked huge! Nothing but incredible things to say about Pineapple Lagoon. Owners are great, staff is amazing, the shop is so cute and the options are so exciting! Flavors, consistency and quality all top tier. Awesome new soft serve spot in Garden Grove! Love how they have daily swirls so you can try different combos. I ordered the 16oz which lets you choose 3 flavors (swirls included) so I got the pomegranate, raspberry and lime swirl, and the cherry and mango swirl. I really like how the swirls were included rather than just making us choose singular flavors so we got the chance to try a bunch of flavors. Our favorites were the mango and the raspberry and lime swirl! The soft serves here are very light and fruity - much less dense than dole whips at Disneyland or at Joe's since it seems to have a bit more air whipped into it. The soft serves were very affordable and thought the pineapple chunk and umbrella decoration were so cute! Staff were very friendly. parking is ample in the lot, and the place is tiki themed too which is a plus! Great dessert spot, will definitely be back. read more

So many different flavors and combinations! The smallest size you can get in a cup is 9 oz which you can include 3 flavors/swirls (a two flavor swirl counts as one)! The pineapple tasted exactly like the one at Disneyland. So creamy and delicious. Customer service was on point too! Definitely coming back to try the other flavors. read more

Had dinner at the KBBQ in this plaza yesterday and as we were leaving , we noticed Pineapple Lagoon so we decided to check it out . As soon as we walked in , we were approached by the owner apologizing if the Islander decorations offended me and my cousin , I guess they been getting that feedback recently. I told the owner , no offense taken at all , matter fact I smiled as soon as I saw the interior , it gave me comfort because it reminded me of home . Ice Cream was even more amazing , I ended up buying two pints to take home so my family can try it . I definitely will be back when I'm in the area !!!! 5 read more

Just stopped by with my Fam today & it was really delicious I've been to Dole Plantation in Hawaii & gotten Dole in Disney & this Dole takes me back to islands yessahhh Owners were really chill and you can definitely feel the aloha within the place . Keep up the good work read more
fun interior design but limited seating/standing space inside. there's maybe 2 small tables outside. what stood out about this place was the super friendly service! they let you try any (and all to be honest) of the samples, including the available swirls. everything also came out super fast. the pineapple dole whip was yummy! the cherry-mango swirl was more overpowering cherry, but it was still alright. both had consistent texture and the price for everything was good. the cups also came with a little pineapple slice and maraschino cherry on an umbrella (super cute)! read more
Finally a place that sells great dole whip opened up around here! The owners were very welcoming and gave us multiple flavors to sample. You can add up to 3 flavors in a cup. We got the pineapple and mango soft serve in a 16 oz. Portions are indeed generous. The soft serve is not too sweet and on the lighter side. I stumbled upon this place when we wanted to get desserts after dinner. It was right across the street from Hmart so it was convenient. The owners were so cute. They tested out different flavors and curated their own cactus cooler dole whip. It was great that they offered different samples to us and their daughter came out to the door to greet us. It was top notch service I tell you! I love that the owners weren't just behind the counter but actively trying to get to know their customers. When they forgot to put mochi on my dole whip, they ran out with a cup of rainbow mochi! They are honest people and I recommend them any day. read more

this new soft serve spot opened up and as someone who lives there disney dole whip i had to try! the shop owners i believe were working and they were the kindest people ever. they offer free samples so i tried their mango strawberry and pineapple. my favorite was the pineapple bc of its refreshing tartness and decided to get that in a cone. they were SO generous with their portions as you can see in the picture and stacked it so high that i accidentally dropped it (oops) but they were so kind to replace it for me. the soft serve hit the spot after a big meal and only wish is that i would have loved it to be a tad creamer/thicker. 10/10 would come back and bonus points for a super cute hawaiian themed interior :) read more

Wow! Just wow. I saw this place online and decided to give it a try. Overall, I'd say the price is fair for the amount you get. Presentation is important for many places, and they absolutely nailed it here. The taste is great as well. The staff answered all our questions and were very friendly--not just to us, but to the customers before and after us. I'll definitely be back to try more flavors! read more
This store is located in grams bbq plaza! They had a variety of flavors to sample and they were all so good. I ended up getting the raspberry mango duo but you can even do three flavors if you really wanted too! I got the 9oz even though the cup seems small they really topped it off and it's enough to share. It's also super cheap less than $5. The owners/workers were so nice would come back again. read more

I'm not a huge dole whip person but saw the amazing reviews so had to check it out for myself. If you love dole whip, this is THE spot for you. First, they have a multitude of flavors and service is great. They allow you to try all flavors as samples (and the samples are quite large for samples and are more like the small froyo cup samples rather than the tiny spoons you get at an ice cream spot). The dole whip here has a nice and creamy texture. The pineapple dole whip tastes exactly like the one in Disneyland giving it a nostalgic flavor. Also love the other flavors - my favorite are probably strawberry and mango. They also have toppings for extra charge which adds a nice crunch. They do not skimp on the smallest 9 ounce size (i was able to choose three flavors and they largely filled over the brim of the cup)! read more
