Lots of caffeinated and non-caffeinated drink options - my favorite new drinks are the mochi mango and mochi barley burst + Driving in and parking in this plaza is atrocious, so be careful!! Cute little drink shop in the heart of Westminster area. Love, love, love all the cat themed decor! The store itself is small and doesn't have any indoor tables, so it's not really a place to sit for hours to study or hang out. However, there is a seating area off to the side where you can wait for your drinks to be prepared. Parking is difficult here. The drivers in this plaza are wild! Definitely drive defensively and be on the lookout when coming in/out of this plaza! The drinks are definitely unique and worth a try -- especially their signature drinks and unique toppings and add-ons! I like how there is a good variety of both caffeinated and non-caffeinated drinks that all feel unique and specially crafted -- not just your typical basic boba tea shop drinks. My favorite new discoveries from here so far are: - soybean foam (love, love, love! First time having it here, I might actually like this more than cheese foam now!) - barley popping boba (never had this anywhere else before. It's squishy, soft, and chewy, with just a hint of nuttiness -- pleasantly surprised and will be adding to my future drink orders instead of regular tapioca boba) - water chestnut boba (also never had this anywhere else before -- a squishy popping boba outer layer, with a nice crunch from the water chestnut inside - osmanthus oolong tea jelly - pear jelly Signature drinks: Avomango Sweet Dew - blended avocado sitting atop a smooth and creamy mousse, on top of delicious mango. Maybe it was an off day or something. The mango in my drink was going bad or something because it tasted kind of sour and acidic...maybe it was sitting out for too long? Idk. It could be a good drink, esp. since it's the stores best seller, but it's not my favorite. Ricefrost - I wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into when ordering this drink, but boy oh boy was I surprised after taking my first sip! I should have read the description more carefully when it said "rice wine blend." Because at least then, I could have anticipated an alcohol-y taste. It's okay though! Cause once you know to anticipate it, the flavor starts to grow on you. Kind of reminds me of rum raisin ice cream in a drink form. Mochi Mango - love this! Perfect blend of mango layered with mochi and a cream top...yum!!! Everything was very fresh. The mango was sweet, the mochi was soft and chewy. Switching out the regular cream it comes with for soybean mousse is my new favorite way to drink this! Mochi Barely Burst - definitely chewy and unique! I haven't had anything like this in terms of the barley popping boba. The drink itself has a classic jasmine milk tea flavor, the mochi is good, and the bursting barley balls are really the stars of the drink. Unique, chewy, not overpowering, and has me coming back wanting more each time! Other drinks: Cheesy Watermelon - classic watermelon slushie with the option coconut juice or jasmine tea, and topped off with a thick layer of cheese foam or soybean foam. Can't go wrong with this one! Pink Coconut Glow - textures galore! Large chunks of watermelon pieces, soft white cubes of some sort of jelly?, and squishy/crunchy chestnut popping boba all swirling around in a coconut + watermelon blend Yuzu Berry - super unique! The line was pretty long when we arrived, but thankfully our drinks came out surprisingly fast. The shop itself is quite spacious, with a few seating areas if you want to hang out and enjoy your drink. We ordered the mango mochi drink and the Oreo mochi drink. The Oreo flavor was a bit faint and didn't stand out as much as I expected. However, the mango mochi drink was definitely the star of the visit. I ordered the Coco Matcha with Mochi Rice and Oolong Jelly with 100% sugar and 50% ice. The drink was made very quickly, and I didn't have to wait long at all. Surprisingly, it wasn't overly sweet or overwhelming, and the flavors were very well balanced. The shop was clean and had a simple, minimalist atmosphere, which I really enjoyed. The prices are comparable to other boba shops in the area. There is also plenty of parking, making it easy and convenient to visit. 9/10 Mochi Oreo - This was definitely my favorite of the two drinks! It's a smoothie blend with mochi, and honestly, the mochi topping is the star of the show. Super long wait at this location. First visit yesterday and I had to wait for 1 hour 20 minutes to get to the front of the line. And an additional 15 for my turn to order and receive the drink. If I would have known it took that long, I would not have joined the line. There were over a dozen staff members making teas in their kitchen but only one, yes one, taking orders and running the cash register! Drinks are good though. Took about 45mins to get to us to order...for this weekend, there is a BOGO so buy one & get one free. I was able to go to their grand opening and tried the mochi mango drink. I only had to wait less than 10 mins which was quite impressive given they were so busy. The mango is a puree and it's so delicious! The star of the show was the mochi, it was just the right amount of texture and chewiness, I wish I had double the amount! Overall my drink was very refreshing and I really enjoyed it. The decor inside it minimal but hip, not too much seating though so I imagine when it's crowded you'd have to plan to take your order to go. However, the boba was cooked to perfection, being perfectly chewy! - jade matcha w/ boba 10/10: now this is what you call a MOLLY TEA DUPE! This drink consists of a jasmine green milk tea base and matcha mousse (cream foam) on top. This drink was SO good and and underrated. It was creamy and very floral with a strong scent of jasmine. It opened on bolsa so I was p r e t t y skeptical because there are already fantastic cafes on that stretch of street and you need a lot to distinguish yourself there but alas I still braved the chaotic streets of little Saigon and spent twenty minutes looking for parking so I could join the queue of eager bargain hunters for the grand opening of their Westminster location. Disappointed I was not. Despite waiting another 30 minutes in line, staff were stationed outside the cafe in the warm summer heat to humor my queries and make sure I was amply prepared for a streamlined ordering experience. I made sure to get one of their most popular drinks, the Mochi Barley Burst and was not disappointed. Not photographed (because I could hardly contain my excitement) was the Pink Coconut Glow. The Barley Burst was refreshing, light, not too sweet, and offered a fantastic mouth feel between the bursts of barley infused popping boba and velvety sweetened mochi I was in a textural paradise!!! I couldn't stop myself and to my chagrine my beverage disappeared in minutes. The pink coconut glow was a little bit less exciting in my opinion. The coconut was light and refreshing but it was not as pronounced of a flavor as I would've liked and the watermelon was a little faint, little more than a colorful accent, however the chestnut boba was such a game changer for me I still had a ball. I think this store definitely brings their A-game when it comes to boba so even when this drink was a little more lacking it was still a delight with every sip. 4/5 for the barley, 3/5 for the coconut if I was just going off of the actual beverage but goodness the toppings added a full point to both at minimum.
