She acted like I was bothering her to do her job and because I didn't speak Spanish. I said thank you and kept being polite and the whole time, I kept getting the face last I checked we are in America where English is our language!!! We actually didn't eat here. We came in, all the staff spoke Spanish. We were never greeted - even after we were waiting forever to get served. Could not even read the items up on the board. Ive worked in the service industry for years and can speak broken Spanish and have never had a problem serving tables but these a*sholes pretend not to understand you whether you order in perfect English or Spanish. The place is a golden gem in the heart of key largo. My friend and I came through here at about 1 am, not expecting much, but leaving with full bellies and happy hearts. as a Miami native, I am well accustomed to Cuban style bakeries, but this was the Mecca of 24 hour pastry shops. We ordered pastelitos of a different variety: beef...pork...chicken...mmm! Also the chorizo one was delicious. The staff was uber friendly and welcoming, even to my friend who didn't speak a lick of Spanish. the bathroom was very clean and the soap smelled like my Abuela's house. This place is so delicious! It is a 24 hour bakery. I've never actually heard of a 24 bakery before. They have a huuuuge selection of cakes and pastries. All looked amazing. Super delicious. We had been to the Miami location several months ago, and wished we could get the same quality pastries in the keys. Well guess what? We now have the selections 10 miles away! We went in on the day after Christmas, and had a piece of cake each, along with a coffee and tea. It was great. The only negative was that the holiday music was a little loud. There is 24 hour service in the lobby and drive-thru. There is outdoor seating. They have a catering menu. We will be going back as often as our waistlines will let us! read more

I am a local and have tried this bakery a few times and have always been disappointed. I was told by an employee that the bakery items they sell are not made on site, they are shipped in from Miami. I assume that is why things "taste funny" or are not fresh as stated in some other reviews. At Christmas I purchased a whole tiramisu for dessert. Everybody tasted it but no one even came close to finishing it. The consensus was that it did not taste like tiramisu at all. It looked pretty but was not fresh and did not taste right. I have tried their sandwiches also and they are ok at best. There are many other places in Key Largo to purchase sandwiches which are much better than here. Unfortunately there is no other bakery in KL, but I would rather get something from the Publix bakery than here. read more

If I was simply basing the review on the goods it would be a four star rating. Unfortunately the customer service is not very good. I don't speak Spanish, but apparently you need to to get them to pay attention or understand you. The drive through and the service is horrible. I ordered by phone and sat in line in the drive through for 37 minutes. When I asked the lady about it she said that's how it is if you don't want to wait don't come. Don't worry I won't be back. Then on top of all of that the food was done incorrectly. Extremely rude workers. I had to try my best to speak Spanish..they didn't even attempt to speak any English or make it any easier for me. I shouldn't have to attempt to speak another language...took at least 20 min just for 3 of my friends and I to get our orders put in because they couldn't understand nor did they care to try. Extremely careless. Plus they had a sign that said all military, police, and firefighters get 25% discount plus a free coffee. So my friend tried getting the military discount and they refused to give it to him and said they didn't know the sign was up, then they thought his military ID was fake and they laughed and then they pretended to give him the discount... My friend could care less about a lousy 25% discount, but 1. Don't have a sign up that says you give discounts and 2. Don't lie about giving the discount and then charge him full price. I went to this Bakery for the first time and I was very disappointed. It is not a American bakery so you shouldn't call it Pinecrest Bakery. It's a Spanish bakery you don't have any kind of foods that a normal Bakery would have like cookies and pastries, puff pastries, croissants, and fresh baked breads it was a joke it's nothing but Spanish desserts don't call yourself a bakery cuz you're not a bakery. You should call your name a Spanish name and emphasize that your a Spanish dessert Café. Because I guarantee you if all the people that go into your restaurant would know beforehand that you're a Spanish dessert Café they probably wouldn't come, especially if they're looking for fresh baked Breads and cookies and pastries !!! read more
