Do not come here. Racism still exists in Charlotte. We walked in, got many looks. Had to walk around the bar 3 times to get the bartenders attention. Once a spot opened up, they seemed to want to pay everyone else attention except us. We sat our empty glasses on their end of the bar so we could get their attention, instead the picked up our glasses and 5 minutes later ask us if we're ready for the check. We advised them no and asked for another round and left. I highly suggest yelp review this place and take them down as we will not be coming back. read more

Stumbled across this when I Googled restaurants near me. Looked decent, so I took a chance. If you are looking for an intimate setting, this is definitely NOT the place. The process is confusing and requires stops at both a kitchen order window and then to the bar for a drink. This process not withstanding, the building is a bit bizarre. High ceilings and concrete floors make for a cold area. Picnic tables? Really? Just not a place I will ever go to again. read more

In town on business on a Monday night and stopped in at a "local" place for a beer. The place was about 1/2 full, with a single bartender. The locals were friendly and were definitely enjoying the evening. Although I did not walk around the place, it appeared the bar area had bar seating for about 10 and about 6 pub tables. Another area had 3 or 4 pool tables and seating there as well. They have a half dozen drafts, about that many bottled beers and a decent liquor selection. My ice-cold draft (Yuengling) was served promptly and with a smile. The bartender was friendly, asked my name and remembered it when she offered another later that night. The prices were very fair. At one point, I noticed one of the patrons appeared pretty drunk. The bartender took an active interest and ensured she did not drive and got her home safely. Very nice. If you are a fellow traveler, are staying in the area and want a cold beer at a friendly place, this is a really great option. Highly recommend. read more

MIKE is the best bartender here. He works the weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). He is so personable and makes the best drinks. They have live karaoke and several pool tables. Come here for a good time! read more

We stopped in for lunch after looking at Yelp reviews. We picked this place because it was close to us, had good reviews and we thought it would be fairly quick since the menu consisted of simple foods. Unfortunately, it took well over an hour to get 2 burgers, 6 wings and a fried chicken sandwich. The fried chicken sandwich was two frozen, breaded tenders on a sandwich. It was so dry that I couldn't eat it. The burgers were good and the wings were ok too. There was one bartender who was also working as a waitress and one cook. The bartender and the cook apologized for the issue with the chicken sandwich and removed it from the bill. They were both nice and I appreciated their apologies. I'm not sure if it was an off day or if it's typical but hopefully if we stop by in the future, the experience will be different. They have one side of the tavern with several pool tables if that's something you're interested in. read more

Hands down, the best hot dogs and hamburgers in all of Charlotte. Get the Carolina dog and the fire burger. If you're into spicy, the fire burger with Carolina Reaper peppers is amazing. Warning: the hot dogs are huge...so one will probably be enough for one hungry person. Also, the people who work here are simply awesome. The burgers and wings are good but they clearly don't want to deal with to go orders even when they are open for business. Tried Saturday night at 730 to order on the phone and was hung up on twice . Then decided Sunday to try again and order with them with Grubhub at 530 after a hour of waiting and my order confirmed by GH then it was canceled by Pineville Tavern with no justification from them or a phone call. So now at 7 pm we are screwed for dinner tonight . Figure out your food hours ! read more

Great hole in the wall bar with great bar food. Love the deep fried hot dogs. They are delicious. They also have live music on the weekends. Can get really crazy busy and can take a while to get the food, but we are in a different time now so we just have to adjust to the new way of life. Read reviews about this place decided on a late lunch with a friend and we both ordered burgers. Our sides were a salad each. The salads were plentiful and the veggies fresh. It consisted of iceberg, grated cheese, chopped onion and diced tomatoes. The burgers were amazing for a bar. Hand pressed, cooked to order, fresh condiments with your choice of cheeses. Our server was attentive, but not overly so. We were only customers in the place except for a lone guy at the bar. Got to up their rating to five stars. One year later and I'm still going here at least once a week. I've expanded my selections to burgers, grilled cheese, wings, tater tot's, onion rings oh my. The only thing they're missing is a quesadilla. My coworker and I have been lobbying hard for this, but so far they haven't listened. This is the second time we've been here! The first time, my husband ordered a burger and he swears it's the best burger he's ever had! I had the wings both times, the first time with BBQ and the second time with their "goose" sauce.(a tangy, sweet BBQ with a kick, they'll let you sample before trying) The wings are really good,hardly any fat and super crispy, my favorite! The hubby and I have seen good ratings for this place and decided to go there to try out their burgers. As expected, it's a dive with older furnishings and cheap decor. We didn't come for the ambiance, so that didn't matter to us. I mention it in case you are hoping for an upscale dining experience because this won't be it if that's your expectation. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. We were told to seat yourself, so we picked a table in the back. The bartender came over right away and got our drink orders while we looked over the menu. We came for the burgers, so that's what we ordered. I ordered mine with fries and the hubby ordered the onion rings. This isn't fast food, so our food wasn't on the table within five minutes, but when it arrived, it was worth the wait while it was cooked. The burgers are definitely hand-made. The patty was thick and irregular, as you would expect from a hand-made patty. They were well-seasoned and cooked just as we requested. The sides were piping hot and generous. Our burgers with sides were $10.99 each and our non-alcoholic beverages were $1.50 each. Total bill came to $25 without tip, which we felt was reasonable. Recently met some friends and family at this little hidden gem/dive given what I had heard about their excellent burgers, fries and wings - as well as reasonably priced drinks. This place is on the end of a very small shopping strip, maybe 2-3 stores. Not very noticeable from the street I would have passed it by if not for the GPS. In entering you can tell this is a local hangout, regulars that are there for a beer, some food and/or a few games of pool (3 pool tables). I got the Garlic burger which was excellent and my daughter got the wings. Also had a few cheap beers (think Budweiser, Miller, etc) although they do have a full bar. The wait staff never let us down, the lady behind the bar was covering the entire place and she rocked. Highly recommend, note no public wifi. read more

I googled local sports bar in the Pineville area just out of the blue to be spontaneous. Sometimes "hole in the wall" places really can just blow you away. This place is one of them. It's a honky tonk billiards bar, with great bar food (my personal favorite were the wings & onion rings) and great service. Very friendly, courteous staff and customers alike. This is truly a dive bar! I've only been there once but it felt like home! Wings were big and meat and cooked perfectly. Sauces were good enough that I would get them again. Lisa the bartender was witty, quick with the jab and not afraid to dish it out with the regulars. Craft beer selection so-so but some cheap dive beer favorites were on tap. They have a few pool tables and a small band stand - seems like a place where you could have a lot of fun when crowded or a good chat when it was slow. I was really hungry. I was served by the owner and by Melinda who was bartending. They claimed to have the best Buffalo wings in town. Wow, they were not kidding. I had the best wings I had ever had and I lived in NY state for 4 years. They were so good that the next day, after a work related steak dinner I went back.... For wings. As others have said, it doesn't look very inviting from the outside, but the staff is very friendly and the food is fantastic. A great find! Celebrated a friends birthday at this bar their menu is pretty small however for bar food it was very good. The wings were good n they make a few of their own sauces delish a little heat as least for me. Hamburgers very juicy an great taste.
