3 stars for dinner, 4 stars for breakfast My group of 3 stayed at Manning Resort and dined here for both dinner and breakfast. I was very underwhelmed by the food at dinner, but surprisingly we really enjoyed breakfast here the next morning. The dining area is pretty plain in terms of decor, but there is a fire crackling in the middle of the room which I appreciated. Too bad all the tables around the fire were full when we arrived. We came by Sunday evening around 6 for dinner and it wasn't too busy. I thought it'd be packed as this is the only restaurant nearby, but that wasn't the case. I had been cold all day, so when I saw the hot apple toddy ($9.95) on the menu, I knew I had to get it. It was surprisingly quite strong but it was nice and hot and just what I wanted. For food, we shared the chicken tenders ($17) as we were all starving. They were pretty standard. I shared the tenderloin medallions ($32) and the braised pork shoulder ($26) with my friend, and honestly both were disappointing, especially the pork shoulder. It was super dry, even with the sauce, and nowhere on the menu did they mention that it'd be cooked with barbecue sauce. I really don't like bbq sauce, so if I had known that, I would've picked something different to order. I asked for the beef medallions medium rare, but the three pieces weren't cooked consistently. Two were medium rare but one was quite rare on the inside. I liked the roasted potatoes and veggies that were served on the side. I finished the meal full but not quite satisfied. Not the kind of feeling you want to have after dropping $130 on a meal. For breakfast the next morning, I ordered the three egg omelette ($17) to go with sauteed peppers, onions, mushrooms, and tomato. I was shocked by how good it was. The omelette was super fluffy and thick and definitely didn't look like they only used three eggs in it, and the potatoes were seasoned perfectly. Definitely one of the best omelettes I've had recently!

Wow. Always skeptical about concession ran places. I had one of the best bacon Benedict's I've ever had. My wife had the bruschetta Bene. Amazing !!! Wonderful server from Czech Republic. She took very good care of us!!! Amazing experience. For Brekky. Highly recommended.

There are not many options out here but even if there were a couple dozen, I am sure this place would still be a top pick. Very friendly staff, tasty pub style food, good portions and a warm cozy atmosphere! Gluten free and Vegan options.

Stayed for a couple days at Manning Park and ate here once for breakfast and once for dinner. Breakfast was solid - basic bacon and eggs, good taste and served pretty quickly. Was a good fill before heading out to hike for the day. Service was friendly and attentive. Dinner was ok - my steak was tough and not a great value at $26. Velvet cake for dessert was good though! There's no other restaurant within an hour in either direction, and this does the trick.

Salmon eggs Benedict was very good and portion size was generous. Service staff was attentive and everything went well.

The interior of the business looked like it was a kitchen and bar from the mild lighting, the sophisticated décor and the spacious layout of the dining area. Even for a coffee house, they have a large selection of baked goods and sandwiches to choose from that you would take a moment to think about what you would order. I ordered the Bacon Breakfast Waffle Sandwich with the Cappuccino with oat milk. The sandwich was very good with the waffles being flavourful on their own. The Cappuccino was fantastic, tasting consistently palpable. I also had their Almondine Croissant, which I found fresh, crunchy and tasty overall. The service was pretty proficient as well, where they use a beeper system to call customers from their tables. Although, they do call your name sometimes too. This business is a hotspot for special events as well with a bulletin board in the back telling you what is happening. So, the Blue Moose Coffee House is a highly recommendable place to have breakfast, lunch, a take-out meal or just to socialize. I look forward to coming back to this place.

Maybe you're…read morepassing through this by-station of a place because you're on your way through the Rockies to AB or coming back. Whatever the reason, we all stop for urgent body functions - whether it be for intake or outtake (so to speak). Breakfast is the cornerstone of getting you started off on the right path of regularity. I still don't understand why Chicken and Pigs are the breakfast foods and not Cows but who's to argue about good bacon? Surely not me. I'm a bit of a bougie breakfast guy - you know, eggs delicately poached and placed ever so carefully on some form of flat starch, served with a sauce that better not be broken or I might go nuke on you. AND sometimes I'm that guy that wants a good chicken and waffle. And then if I'm having one of those days, I just want a good ol' American brekkie... You know the ones. If you're a GenX and older, it's that breakfast we saw on TV that everyone ate. The artery blocking, waist expanding, but who gives a crap 'cause I'm on cholesterol meds Breakfast of Champions. Well, if you're in that mood, you found the right place. Tootsies - I'm leaving the politically correct name crusades to all those "others" as I just came to quell the need for grease - by all extent is the place to get your brekkie on. It's a no-nonsense diner with decor that befits the era where food was served and no one knew what a nutritional guide was. AND it's located in what else, the areas industrial spot, where people can eat a buzzillion calories and burn it off before lunch. Walk in and you get a polite "sit anywhere you want" and we do. Table and booths are available, equally having the slight stickiness that says you are at an old fashioned diner. Ahhhh... My childhood floods back! Food here is simple. Eggs, meat, starchy stuff and coffee. They come in different sizes and if you had your ozempic shot, order away! Eggs were spot on, bacon was salty perfect, and coffee had that unforgetable taste of a carafe with brown slick of coffees past - ahhhhh... Good old days! It's not destination dining but if you happen to be out and about and don't know where to break your fast? Think Tootsies - no matter what you might think of the name. Cheers.
