Great food , Service and atmosphere. The ingredients are always fresh, the staff is always accommodating. All restaurants are always very clean. Fantastic service, pleasant atmosphere, the pot stickers are perfect and the food is delicious and spot on. I had the Hot Thai BBQ, a really tasty steak dish, and I tried some of my dinner partner's Pad Thai dish. Both were amazing and I look forward to trying more of the menu. Very flavorful asian fusion food! I am a vegetarian - the only veg. appetizer - veggie pot stickers were delicious! I also had the Tom Yum soup and Malaysian noodles dish just loved it! Pretty good spicy miso soup. The pork was a bland but the broth was excellent and the noodles were very flavorful. Nice and inviting interior. The service was rather slow, but the waitress still came to check on us and refill drinks. Overall, a good dining experience. read more

We've enjoyed coming here a few times. Food is always good. We like to sit on the patio. Please note... although seated immediately, there is a long wait for patio service...When we first started coming patio was quaint and had lights strung up and a little seating area with a small couch. Which is now a back bar and water station ....it's now over-decorated with mismatching paper lanterns strung randomly and multi colored flag streamers. ( reminiscent of a used car lot) And MANY burnt out lights....:(.... patio has become storage for cold weather stand up heaters , haphazardly placed. Sandwich board signs are stacked against inner fencing in dining area that has a beautiful view of the recycled card board thrown out the back door (This could be fixed with some kind of black mesh in with the existing black fence and gate). Also, patio in need of a good power washing. Regarding service: the girl who waited on us was excellent.... but for a summer afternoon very understaffed. Wait was very long. In closing, we will probably come back but if it's the same or worse... we would probably think twice about another visit. Being so close to the sounds of the highway, ambiance is really the key to this place!! read more

I am very disappointed with my experience here. I usually go to Spice Club, (Pink Basil's sister restaurant) and I love it. Yet I was in Mystic and decided to try this out. My friend and I are ignored when we are asked how many of us and finally when we are seated I ask if I could possibly get a small bowl of shrimp chips to start. My waitress ROLLED her eyes at me. Mind you, my friend and I are THE ONLY TABLE in the restaurant other than us, it was empty. Visited this place Sunday afternoon per recommentdation from a friend and was busier than I expected for a sunday, but it wasn't super busy. Definitely was a bit difficult to find the first time, but I was not disappointed in her suggestion. Its a hidden gem in the Village. Server was great with recommendations, he gave attentive service, but food was just ok. maybe was just a personal preference, but pad thai was a bit bland. wonton soup was good but the wonton were definitly better than the broth they were in. My friend really enjoyed their food and was very happy with the food. Like I said, maybe it was just a personal preference. Portions were larger than expected for the price. presentation was great. I couldn't believe how busy this place was; the only thing I can figure is that the people who dine here have not had real Thai food. My daughter had Pad Thai-it tastes like it came out of a box. I had pineapple curry-again very little favor & served in a huge obnoxious bowl. My son had overpriced sushi and maki-looked and tasted like it came from a grocery store. Just had dinner at Pink Basil. There were 6 of us, we had reservations and were seated promptly. We ordered drinks, mostly martinis. They are way over priced at $10 and $11 each. We ordered appetizers, calamari and edemami, both were good. Three ordered the spicy ramen soup, one light on the spice, the other two were full on spice. The mild ramen was great! The spicy ones were really spicy! One ordered a duck entree, one Pink Basil Noodles, I ordered the lemongrass beef. These three were good as well. Our waitress was great! Not the greatest if you are looking for even a halfway authentic asian curry. Finding this place took a bit of effort as we were just coming from the Aquarium it should of been simple but we drove in a circle to find out that it was simply across the street from there. That aside the food was just OK. I had a green curry which wasn't that spicy and dry cuts of breast meat were used which obviously takes away from the flavor of the curry, which wasn't that flavorful, it almost tasted bottled or straight out of the packet, so boring. It just tasted like a halfway attempt at curry. Anyway it seems the place is new so maybe it's just finding it's footing. We had takeout from here several weeks back. Ordering was easy and the pickup time was short. We had 3 specialty sushi rolls, chicken pad thai and the duck rolls. The portion sizes were good but I did find them to be pricey for what I got. The pad thai was pretty bland like it was from a box and the duck was a weird texture, not really crunchy and weirdly dry. The sushi was good but not remarkable. I think we will try again in house to see if the food improves but it was a disappointing takeout experience. read more

Super fast service, everything we had was very fresh. Here for restaurant week and at dinner for $20 it was soup, a sushi roll, avocado salad, an appetizer AND an entree! Soup could have come to the table hotter, but that is the ONY complaint. Chicken spring rolls crisp and not oily, pot stickers were tasty and HOT! Avocado salad was full of crisp veggies and lots of avocado. Spicy salmon roll and sweet potato tempura rolls were delicious. Highly recommend the pumpkin curry - spicy and full of fresh veggies and tender chicken. She had beef Bibimbap, and really enjoyed it. SO much food for $20! Don't miss the pumpkin martinis!! The first time I visited Pink Basil, I was a little disappointed in the food. I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and have had MUCH better Pad Thai at other places. Pink Basil's needed more spices and a lot more peanuts. Since then I have learned what to order there, and I have been very pleased. The curries are delicious, in particular the avocado curry when they have it as a special, and I love their spicy string beans with chicken (although I ask them to ramp up the 'spicy' a couple of notches). The fried calamari appetizer is actually a huge platter of tempura-style calamari and vegetables. I go with a friend, and we usually split this "appetizer" for lunch! Excellent! The servers are always friendly and eager to please, although sometimes their mastery of English is not perfect. read more

Just had lunch at Pink Basil with our two grandchildren ages 10 & 12. We thought the dumplings, pot stickers, were "the best". The Fried Calamari appetizer was huge and more than enough for all of us. Then three of us ordered main courses, two noodle dishes and one pork curry. The last one ordered the lettuce wrap appetizer as a main. Everything was very tasty but we ordered Way too much food. The service was excellent. I went to this place in summer with my two other friends we got our seats nicely and they brought us out theses chip things that were raw and had mold. it was nasty. when our food came out one of my friend discovered a few little bugs crawling on his plate and we called over a waitress to tell her what was going on she looked over the plate and because she didn't take us seriously because we are teens she just said " it's fine don't worry" and laughed and walked away I told her that there is no way i'm paying for this the sushi was great but I don't recommend their bug wings( rude lady) read more
