Probably my favorite Thai restaurant in Woodland Hills/Canoga Park area. I love the green curry (best curry I've had in a long time) the pad thai is a little bland & when you order it to go it does not come with lime. It would definitely be delish in the event there was a tad bit more sauce. We also tried the spicy basil beef, Togo it's a half order for some reason. We thought it was going to be a full order to share but it comes in a Togo box with two scoops of rice. So good for one person. I highly recommend the pad see ew. This noodle dish is definitely more flavorful than the pad thai. Other than that I absolutely love this place. PROS: - GREAT price for big portion and quality food!! - variety of thai/viet food (plus others) - quiet, small I was surprised at how big my plate of salad was- even a bunny like myself felt overwhelmed haha. If you're a fan of $1 type of takeout place their food is at par with it. Yes this place is inexpensive, but the quality is sub par. I'm 44 and have eaten at many places that serves Thai food, this was least of my favorites! The only thing that tasted remotely good of the entire meal was the Tom Kah, and it was mild at best! This review is written the day after, the night of bad gas on my behalf and heartburn of my gf! She had Pad Thai, I tasted it and was meh .. I had Thai yellow curry pineapple fried rice, which was dry, none of the flavors married everything tastes as if it was made separate and placed together at the late minute! The Tempura Shrimp were ok, however the tempura batter wasn't what I have come to expect over my years eating shrimp and loving tempura. For a place with Thai folks working in the kitchen, I expected far better, especially of the reviews, but I came for the food, an adventure, and was underwhelmed and no meal finishes well when you need antacid! Just up the street there are far better places to eat, and only a few dollars more. People call this place Trendy, I call it Sparse. Trendy is when you hit Toi in Hollywood or the Palm in Thai Town. Yes the staff is friendly, however friendly doesn't fill my belly and bland food doesn't warrant a return visit. I shall not darken their doorstep ever again! read more

Such a great little spot here in West Hills, situated right next to Cavaretta's, another GREAT little spot, and Jerry's Pizzeria (a not-so-great little spot IMO). My usual go-to order is vegetable fried rice and the yellow curry, with chicken. I got a modified version of this on my last visit, just added some chicken to the fried rice (which they charge extra for). We also tried something out that we hadn't got here before/yet... chow mein with beef. And boy, I've been missing out.... it was delicious and the beef was so tasty. I expected big chunks that you might need to cut down before a bite, however they were thin and tender and just the right size. Food is great, never had a bad meal here. I went to the restaurant, ordered my food, paid and they said I can sit in my car and they would go and drop it off when its done. Sounds great right? I'm waiting in my car, 25 mins go buy, I walk inside, my order is on the counter, the guy who took my order asked what I would like to order. I told him I ordered from him already and was waiting for my food. He gives me a the receipt and says I have not paid. What? I showed him my receipt and he says oh okay here you go. I said "you told me you would come outside and give me my order when its done" and right after I said that, I was already over it and walked out. Checked this place out for dinner after seeing the reviews. Food was pretty good and service was very friendly. We enjoyed: 1. Spicy Beef Salad (grilled beef, onion, galanga, basil leaves in spicy lime sauce): nice and fresh 2. Drunken Noodles with choice of Beef (spicy rice noodles, onion, bell peppers and basil): cooked perfectly, noodles were not dry and it had a nice kick 3. Crab Fried Rice (stir-fried rice with crab meat, egg, tomatoes, onion and scallion): flavorful! My daughter was getting a bit cranky at the table. The cashier came over and offered her a fortune cookie. That was very sweet of her :) Located on the northside of Sherman Way, east of Topanga. Love this place! Been coming here pretty much since they opened back in '09-'10. My go-to plate is the Spicy Fried Rice, which is the best out of all the local Thai restaurants around here. Service is excellent and prices are very reasonable. I should mention that since covid started Pink Elephant has been strictly take out, no dine-in. No biggie, but I do hope dine-in comes back in the near future. All in all, a solid choice for Thai food in the West Valley. I wish them continued success for years to come! read more

I can't even tell what this is. I have had lots of Thai food. This is not even food. Everything seems to be boiled. Not for me.

First time ordering from the place and here are my thoughts: Pros: Location is easy to find, from the outside it doesn't like that great but the inside is very nice and has a modern feel to it. I would dine-in if I wasn't taking food home. Service was EXCELLENT the lady greeted my as i walked in the door, very nice and my food was ready 5min before my expected pickup time, awesome. Food temperature was nice and hot when I arrived home (~4 miles from my home) Drunken Noodles & Chicken Satey. The food portion received is very generous, not to little (like so places) and not to much either just right. I also like that they still use the white styrofoam take-out containers which is why they can fill a generous portion of food with instead of other locations charging you more and giving you food in those smaller plastic black containers. Prices are fair, they arent under priced or over priced at all. You get your money's worth and dont feel like you got ripped off. Drunken Noodles: The noodles, veggies and chicken were cooked completely so no undercooked issues at all. The chicken wasn't rubberized nor were the noodles. Chicken Satey: Chicken was fully cookeda and the peanut sauce was good too. Cons: I placed my order online within Yelp. Yelp said it would be ready in 10-20 during the food selection portion which was great. After i placed my order and purchased my order it said my order would now be ready in 45-60min (I was shocked) and was ready to call the store to cancel my order as I wasn't expecting nearly 1hr wait for my order to be ready. About 1min went by and i received an update from Yelp saying my order will now be ready at a specified time and it was 15min from the time i placed my order. So I don't know what happened but it might be easier just to place you order by phone or maybe another APP as Yelps pickup time was screwed up causing me to nearly cancel my order. Drunken Noodles: Wish we had ordered Hot, we like Spicy but we werent sure how spicy their Hot was so we ordered Med, unfortunately it seemed like there was hardly anything spicy about it. Different places have different levels but if you like spicy I would go with Hot, if you just like a little spice I would order Med at least as I'm afraid mild would probably have no spice to it at all. I've had Drunken noodles from all different places but this place was lacking a few veggie items that i usually see in my order and that was Tomato, onions and Jalapeños. I think if they added these it would make the noodles even more amazing. Chicken Satey: I didn't like how they only had 4pcs. I've always had either 5 or 6 pc's so im not sure why they only offer 4pc's. Also as you can see in my picture of the 4pc's they are rather very Small compared to the wooden skewers about 1/3 the size. I felt like compared to most places i wasn't pleased with the quantity/size i received, they could do better on that. The Coconut flavor was a little strong, i dont mind coconut at all but my family isnt the biggest fan and all they could say was all they tasted was coconut. Payment: Cash/Card.....unfortunately this place charges the customer's $0.25 for CC transactions which is not very welcoming. I dont think its professional at all to charge your customer's a fee to use their CC at any type of food/market location.....to me honestly it feels like you are being cheap when you charge your customers a credit card fee. read more
