We celebrated a lovely Mother's Day dinner here :) We called and were able to make reservations for a party of 5. Food was delicious, service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. I enjoyed every dish which were flavorful with fresh ingredients and condiments. We ordered the crispy trout with Thai apple slaw, papaya salad, crab fried rice, curry french fries and pad Thai :P During our previous visit, we ordered the combination friend rice and crying tiger. One thing about Thai food in the area is that it is never consistent. I gave this another shot after 10 years of not eating here and I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the tom kha soup, the spicy fried rice with tofu and the vegan pad see ew. All was made fresh to order and it was delicious. My husband approved . We ordered to go so I don't know about the service but it was ready when they said it would be. Also, as a Mexican food consumer I would recommend the tacos from the next door and add a little of this restaurants papaya salad for a nice surprise. read more

I was craving some Thai and much needed girl time so I met with a fellow yee for lunch during a weekday. We both got the pad Thai lunch special with a mini salad and an egg roll on the side. The dressing on the salad was really good, the roll I passed along (not gluten free) and the pad Thai was a good portion of noodles. It was really good, I ate it all but then again I was just really hungry. The waitress we had was very attentive and really sweet. Our food came out relatively quick but then again it wasn't crowded when we were there. Note that the parking lot is really small since it's in a small lot but there was some spaces open when I arrived. The inside of the restaurant is small as well but they have a good amount of seating throughout. Tables, bench and a little bar spot. There is no public restroom when dining in. read more

We were craving Thai food and no where near our usual haunts. Decided on this place and was very pleased. The food was excellent and huge portions. Decided to look up a new Thai food place in the West Valley. Thai Blvd bistro is considered one of the highest rated in my area and is great. That is very kind and attentive. I had to have gone through five glasses of water and the staff was quick to refill before I even realized I was getting low. The food is amazing, would specifically recommend the cashew nut chicken and lemongrass soup. I meant she arrived before the dinner rush, but even then it wasn't too loud and there's a nice lighting atmosphere in the restaurant. Will be back for more Thai food. read more

M every single time I return to this place I remember why I love coming back here. One of if not the best Thai food restaurants I've ever been to. The service the ambience and the food are all five star. I do like spicy food however I will say if you order spicy beware because they don't mess around. I don't recommend asking for spicy unless you can really handle it. read more

Thai Blvd Bistro, is a "hidden gem" on Vanowen in Canoga Park. There are no fancy signs and it is located in a small crowded strip mall, with limited and tight parking. The restaurant has a small and intimate dining space, together with well appointed tables and decor. I really liked the soft jazz piano music that constantly played in the background. We were here for lunch and ordered two entrees plus two individual rice portions ($3 each). Both the mains arrived well presented with eye catching optics. The Penang Curry with chicken was silky, thick and married well with the protein that melted in your mouth. The Pad Prik King with Beef had great depth, the right amount of oily gravy to impart fullness and the beef pieces were nice and tender. The beans were optimally cooked for crunch and color. Both dishes were bursting with flavors, textures and each imparted distinct and satisfying tastes. However, customer service could have been better. It was hurried, abrupt and indifferent, all through the dining experience. read more

The pad Thai did taste a little different than what we're typically use to. My bf wasn't a big fan of it unfortunately. I really enjoyed the Thai basil leaves with ground chicken it had the right amount of spice!! I give it a 9 Lemonade was very and I mean too sweet. :((( not worth $5 sorry! Pad see ew was the best thing. Would order that again. I was disappointed that we had six dishes and we're only given three soy sauces and three spicy sauces. We need way more. The place was dark. We had gotten it to go so we ate it at home. That's why we were more disappointment because we didn't realize how little sauces we had until we got home. But also, I would order the Thai tea with lemonade that is bussin. read more

You guys have to try this Thai restaurant family owned family run and operated, everything is so delicious and you can taste the quality and it was cooked with love . My favorite is coconut soup it was to perfection must try. The restaurant has great ambience and design, bathroom is very clean and parking is available underground if in case regular parking is not available. The employees/ cooks here at Thai food are flexible and accommodating with food preferences. I am sensitive to MSG & Oyster sauce. Please just let them know and they have vegetarian sauce options that do not take away from the authenticity of Thai food. The service is always kind, thoughtful and never hurried. Be ware that there are no public restrooms so plan accordingly. Highly highly recommend Thai restaurant! Oh! And don't forget the Thai Ice Tea, you will not be disappointed. Some serve just tea, but here, You get to mix it and they dress it up with cream and mint leaf! Adorable and appetizingly delicious and beautiful. read more

Was craving Thai food so me and my friend checked out Thai food in the valley. The restaurant is small, cozy, clean and great ambiance. The decor is cute too. We came at 6pm on a Sunday and it was just us and a mom and her child. A lot of people were ordering for pick up. My order was chicken pad see ewe, crab cakes, and sticky mango rice. I had Thai iced tea with boba. Let's start with the drink. Very tasty and I love it, boba was hard but tasty so I'll give it a 4/5. Chicken see ewe was a little salty but I love it. They allow modifications and I didn't want mine with broccoli. I'll give it a 4.5/5. Also, portion is huge. Easily good for 2 girls but not for men for sure. Crab cakes were 2 huge balls and a side of some salad and mango salsa. Crab cakes although appetizing was very dry and lacks taste even with the tasty mango salsa. I didn't eat the salad because I'm not a vegetable person. 2/5 Lastly sticky mango rice! Presentation was so cute and the taste didn't disappoint even if it's not mango season, the mango is not bad. It's not sweet but it's still good. The rice with coconut milk is sooo yummy. If it's mango season, I would give it a 5 but that day is just 4.5/5. My friend got drunken noodle with broccoli medium spicy and she said it's slightly more than medium spicy. I didn't try it because it doesn't go with my pad see ewe. She also had some soup and I didn't hear her complain or praise it so I guess it's a 3/5 There's not a lot of parking because it's a small strip mall but there is underground parking. Price is median. Expect to spend $20-$30 per person including drinks. No reservations needed! All in all, I would recommend. Will return to check out other food. I also wish they have crispy pork belly but they didn't. read more

This was our first time here under their reinvented "Thai Blvd. Bistro" appellation. It was a little early for dinner when we arrived and the restaurant was completely empty. After standing in the front for several minutes, we were greeted by a rather brusque older woman who seated us in the front window of this cozy dining room. As we got quickly situated, she informed us that she would be our server and laid out 2 small paper napkins which we would discover to be the only ones we'd see for the remainder of the evening. The food ranged from good to exceptional. We ordered Spicy Seafood Stir Fry, which consisted of 2 sauteed shrimp, 1 scallop, a bit of sole fish, 1 green mussel, squid and bell pepper with Thai herbs in their house spicy sauce. Unfortunately, the portion verged on embarrassingly skimpy and rice had to be ordered à la cart. Though, In spite of the diminutive serving, the meal had been prepared to perfection and was beautifully presented. The taste was nothing short of memorable; one of the best Thai dishes I've ever sampled! The second dish we tried was the Blvd. Set - marinated BBQ chicken served with sticky rice and green papaya salad. The chicken could have been a little more moist, but was flavorful and of a normal portion. The green papaya salad was enjoyable. We completed dinner with 2 orders of Fried Banana with Coconut Ice Cream. Overall, not a bad dining experience. read more

It's a cozy, Thai place with a great lunch special. I tried the basil chicken and the red curry which were good. Quite standard fare with great flavors. We did a side salad with our lunch specials and it good. There was just one person serving the tables but they were very efficient. For dessert, I tried the mango with sweet sticky rice. I try it at every Thai restaurant. The mangoes were in season and you just can't go wrong with mango sticky rice dessert. read more

The spring shrimp rolls are tasty but I've never had a spring roll fall apart before eating it. Like legit on both sides broke. Couldn't eat it really, darnit. Pad Thai was tasteless. Disappointing. Just noodles egg and tofu. Needs decent green onions and more, and flavor. Really wanted this place to live up to the reviews. Just wasn't my experience. read more

The pad thai here is great! I got it with chicken and it's up to par with all the best pad thai dishes I've had. No lime but I didn't feel like I needed it. Also I liked that they gave me chili sauce without having to ask so I was able to spice it up to my liking. I've had the yellow curry lunch special and massaman curry as well but the pad Thai is my favorite dish so far. The massaman curry (medium spicy) wasn't the best I've had but I'm hoping that if I get it less spicy it'll have more flavor. The spice may have took over some of the flavor a bit. The crab cheese wontons were also great and will probably be a must if I get dinner here from now on. read more

Decided to come here and try this "THAI Blvd Bistro" out and boy did we have a negative experience contrary to the reviews we had seen. Pineapple fried rice was very bland and had a distinct curry aftertaste. Not sure why or how but all of our food had this very similar distinct taste. Orange chicken DID NOT taste like chicken very chewy and oddly textured. NEVER will I ever go here again was very disappointed at what we had to pay for this less then mediocre DINNER. read more

I'm very pleased with my burger. I didn't realize a burger is essentially 4 sliders. You can cut up burger along the Hawaiian bread lines. If you order 4 impossible sliders, it would cost you almost $20. If you order a burger, which is 4 sliders uncut, you save money, maybe like $4ish? Excited to try other burgers off their menu.

There didn't seem to be anyone actually working the seating area; a person came out eventually and told us that someone would take our order soon. It was quite a while before anyone came, the food took a long time to be served, and the food wasn't as good as I remembered. Very disappointing, which is why I'm giving 4 stars, not 5. Yesterday, driving back from Ojai on the 101 at lunchtime, we decided to give the restaurant another try. The service was very prompt and friendly and the food was very good. We ordered a vegetarian thali and an onion rava masala dosa to share between the two of us. The thali gave us a chance to have a sample of lots of their dishes. The dosa was awesomely crunchy, with large portions of sambar and several chutneys. We were stuffed before we finished our meal. Our total bill was only $30, plus tax and tip. We will definitely come back again, hopefully with a group of friends so we can order a lot of dishes and share. I have to assume that our one disappointing lunch was just a bad day - maybe their staff was out sick or something. But two of our three meals here were great and I look forward to eating that dosa again! We would come here more often, but we live half an hour away.

Not many customers on a weekday but that is perhaps because of demographics in the area. Weird thing about them trying to kick us out was that the restaurant wasn't even crowded but maybe becuase costs from our table were maxed out. Oh yes they also had a vegetable biryani as an appratizer which was served without raita of course. Overall, the place used to be great. Maybe still is but opt to go on weekends when it's crowded and food is maybe fresh. Another thing about ownership being form north in a South Indian restaurant are subtle changes where sambhar gets a jeera tadka or aalu pallya gets vegetables like carrots and peas. They then inform the guy that always wears a black shirt and slick back hair who I believe is a manager and he comes over and explains that this section is for walk ins that plan to sit and eat here and am welcomed to wait outside or in the waiting area.I informed him it wasn't a problem but thats the reason I asked from the beginning. I also mentioned we drove from Simi Valley to come here and there were many other restaurant options but I told him how the waitress treated me and he said he would talk to her. I told him I would pay for the coffee and I would leave. He said don't worry about the coffee. I didn't even finish my coffee I set it down and left. After coming here for years with family, friends, even referring this place to others I WILL NEVER COMEBACK AGAIN. You can say you want your pizza ready by a certain time and it will easily be 20 minutes late, if not longer. Also, the crust is really chewy. But again, the flavors are really good. If you know what to expect, just plan on ordering well in advance and telling them to have it ready well before you actually want to eat.

We ordered a pick up yesterday from this place, The lady who picked up the phone was super impatient, My service was cutting off we were on our way to the restaurant, And she start to yell at me by saying "fucking" and was super not professional. When I entered the restaurant, she saw me coming in to pick up my order and start to yell words in Chinese to the lady who gave me a service. And got inside the kitchen. I told the lady who gave me the order to tell her I am sorry the reception was cutting off and I am sorry if she had a hard time hear me. Never mind.. The pad-Thai was delicious , But the steak salad was filled with a LOT of liquids, and it seems more stake soup instead of steak salad with an actual leaves . We also ordered the chicken date which was not more than Okay. Doubt if we going to be back eating this restaurant. I love Thai food. This place is one the only few places in the area that serve good thai food. Their Thai tea boba was a large amount and tasted good (not too strong not too sweet or milky) we ordered tower tofu for appetizers which was ok. We also ordered crab fried rice and Pad see ew which was also delicious as expected and brocolli with oyster sauce (i think) and we chose chicken for the meat. The chicken looked pale but was still tasty. The yellow curry was good but we regret making not spicy and i bet it would have tasted great with white rice. For dessert we had the Roti i think. We were full but even if it was a large plate it was still light enought to eat. Staff was nice and pleasant. And got our order quicker than other Thai places. I visited Thai Blvd Bistro for lunch with a friend, and we both tried their lunch special. Each lunch special comes with rice (except for the Pad Thai), a fresh salad, and a delicious egg roll. They offer a nice variety of options, which I love since I enjoy having choices! The restaurant has a small shared parking lot and the restaurant can be a bit tricky to find near the corner, so keep an eye out. But despite its hidden location, Thai Blvd Bistro truly is a hidden gem. The staff was warm and welcoming, and our food came out quickly. The funny part is that I thought I'm adding in the extra rice which cost me two bucks, apparently this was the only rice I got. I think you're right to carry must come with rice. I'm not sure what it would have looked like if we came during rush hour, but at least there was spots for us to park in. When we got inside it was pretty small with about 15 seats available for dine in. There was one other party there at the same time we were. Once we paid, we saw the fried shrimp coming from out of the kitchen, so we knew ours were almost ready since they just needed to wrap them up. This place was the definition of a local mom and pop business. Mom was running the cash register, and Pop was in the kitchen. They were two of the sweetest people. She even came out to the dining area to hand us our food, rather than screaming at us from behind the counter. We drove home (5 mins away), and I unpacked the food to find that each box was labeled. It probably wasn't necessary since we could very clearly see which was shrimp and which was bulgogi but I appreciated the small touches. My partner and I each had one half of the shrimp and one half of the bulgogi and it as unanimous that our favorite was the fried shrimp. They do include a sauce that has the slightest kick, but in my opinion it was the best kind of spicy where it isn't painful and it's actually quite pleasant, complimenting the fried shrimp very well. Overall - we are so glad we tried this little local spot. The fried shrimp ritto was so good, I want to try other items, but I know I'll be craving that fried shrimp ritto again.

Do not get the bbq pork pieces unless you want some boiled pork with some sauce on it. Do not, definitely do not get the Wontons! These are the most upsetting wontons I have ever ate! It is just a small piece of over-processed, now tough, piece of pork in them, the size of a marble. The shrimp is in the broth, not made together. Foolish! Not enough flavor on the pad see ew, and what more, no wok char! What?! Where's the wok?! Anyway, like I said, there are so much better out there. If you never had Thai food, this is the place for you, but then again, don't get the papaya salad, cause that's the only thing made right, and that's too much for an unfamiliar palate.
