The cake part was super moist (hence the name. Lol) and the creamy frosting was obviously my favorite part! There was no doubt in my mind that we had to have these cupcakes at my baby shower! I can't wait to hire Sharon for another cake. First, the look: she worked with my 2 week request time and was just wonderful at taking the direction/inspiration from my photos. Also super cute detail: she custom printed the girls rock themed "buttons" on my leather jacket shaped baby shower cake with edible paper. The "studs" on the jacket were little edible metal balls, which I loved. She even got the anarchy symbol right for one of the pins - too adorable. Wow! I requested a Frozen themed cake for my daughters 3rd birthday. The catch was that I didn't have time to pick the cake up due to the party being in Oakland, ca. Sharon of Pink and Moist was very accommodating and boy did she exceed expectations. I left the imagination of the pastry chef to create a cake that would feed 50 people. Not only did she produce a quality cake, it was huge! She asked me to save the top tier as a smash cake for my little one. The base of the cake was more than enough for the party. Where do I begin to explain how DISAPPOINTED I was when I saw this cake!! My GOD it was a disaster, just look at these pictures and PLEASE SOMEBODY explain how YOU would feel to order a Baby Shower cake that looks like the LAST picture just without the Flowers and Mushrooms and receive THIS LOPSIDED CAKE that cost $350!!!! ARE you kidding me?? PLUS $20 Delivery FEE. We had a beautiful table and the cake was expected to be a BEAUTIFUL cake as the center piece and then we receive this from Sharon who dropped it off and quickly left so no one would confront her about the horrible work she was delivering. PAPER CUTOUTS and 99cent palm trees. Really? I was helping organize this baby shower and I had to come here to YELP and hope customers see what kind of work she has to offer and to top it off, she doesn't respond to email or phone calls we are asking for a refund or some kind of EXPLANATION. As a mom, I envisioned that I would be making my kids' birthday cakes and sewing their Halloween costumes every year. Reality finally hit. I contacted quite a few places to have custom monster cakes created for my baby's first birthday. Most of them were ridiculously overpriced and not what I wanted. That is until I found Sharon of Pink N Moist. We exchanged plenty of emails and I sent her pics of what I wanted my cake pops and treats to look like. I ordered a small cake for 10 people, two dozen cake pops, two dozen pretzel rods, and two dozen Rice Krispies all for $200. She was absolutely wonderful to work with and made everything possible in two weeks. She also delivered and I was running late but she waited until one of my family members arrived which was amazing and I very much appreciated. Now let's talk about the taste. I ordered the cake in tres leches, the cake pops in chocolate and they were absolutely fantastic. Everything she made was beautiful even though they were monsters and tasted so good. Sharon is AWESOME! I e-mailed her a little over a week before my friend's birthday trying to get a custom make cake -- basically no notice! She gives me a call and gets all the info she needs on Monday and I needed the cake by Friday. She consistently had great communication, something that is very important to me. She made me a mango cake with fresh strawberry filling and mango buttercream with a rosette design. I think she works out of her home which I don't mind if it cuts the costs of her cake. If I could I would put zero stars as a review. I ordered a baby shower cake on April 7th 2018. I made it clear that the cake was going to be the main piece in the table. I sent a sample picture of the cake I wanted which is the first picture and received a cake that didn't resemble anything like the cake I wanted. What I received was a cake that was lopsited and patched up from the top. One of our guests mention the cake was leaning and about to fall. So that's when we made the decision to cut it. As soon as we started cutting the cake, the fondant started pulling like bubble gum. This is by far the worst cake I've ever seen. Everything about this cake was bad including the figurines and the plastic decorations that made it look like a cheap cake and not a cake that it's worth $350. Sharon didn't even have the courtesy to let us know she was delivering a cake looking the way it did because I wouldn't have accepted it! She dropped the cake and left quickly. It didn't meet my expectations and would never give my business to this person ever! It's hard to understand how a person can stand by a horrible cake like this one. I've had the crumbly, dry cupcakes from Baked (wax for frosting), Destination Bakery(flavorless), Cako(dried in the window or whatever), and Mission Minis. Pink and Moist lives up to its name in every way and delivers a gorgeous, moist cup cake with incredibly buttery frosting that tastes like its made from scratch in your mama's kitchen. I don't know Sharon, but I do work with her cousin and she brought in a piece of her pina colada cake to share with me this morning. I have one longtime gal pal in my life down in So Cal that I believe makes the best tasting cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other baked goods (said friend made my wedding cake) and no one has been able to come close to the texture, taste and moistness of her cakes until now. First bite into the slice of cake, and I knew Sharon's cake will be amazing. The cake was moist, and the frosting was fresh and very creamy. Believe the hype. A helpful yelper (thanks Greg!) gave me Sharon's current number which is 800 756 8375. In a city of numerous cupcake options, Sharon had some of the best cupcakes I've ever eaten. Period. I got vanilla/vanilla, chocolate/chocolate and red velvet. Amazing, moist, and flavorful cupcakes. The vanilla frosting on the vanilla/vanilla was my least favorite (the vanilla cupcake itself was outstanding though). Top five if not the best chocolate cupcakes I've ever tasted. My friend said he 'felt bad for' everyone who hadn't eaten the red velvet cupcake. If you need amazing tasting cupcakes, stop looking. Being one with a passion for sampling desserts, I am always up for taste test. The red velvet cake is one of my 5 favorite desserts and is one that is very easy to get wrong if you don't have "joie de vivre" to make it right. I happened to be in San Francisco one weekend for a birthday party which happened to have red velvet cupcakes in lieu of an actual cake. I think I may have eyeballed the dessert table a little too long which made one of the party goers take notice. She asked me if I wanted to try one, and I said "no, I haven't eaten yet" knowing "lie" was written all over my face. The lady went to the table, picked one up and brought it back to me practically dangling it in front of my face as if it was a carrot asking me if I was sure. I said the classic line "well, if you insist" and took my first chomp. My first impression was the rich creamy, cream cheese frosting which was quite amzazing. On to the texture of the cake itself, a silky bite. I think I may have been having an out of body experience as I was asked if I was alright. I responded "yes" and said "whoever made this is spot on." She responded "thank you." Who would have known I Was standing next to the master baker?
