    Frozen themed cake and goodies!
    Greg P.

Wow! I requested a Frozen themed cake for my daughters 3rd birthday. The catch was that I didn't have time to pick the cake up due to the party being in Oakland, ca. Sharon of Pink and Moist was very accommodating and boy did she exceed expectations. I left the imagination of the pastry chef to create a cake that would feed 50 people. Not only did she produce a quality cake, it was huge! She asked me to save the top tier as a smash cake for my little one. The base of the cake was more than enough for the party. Outstanding work and professionalism. I plan order a batch of her unique flavored cupcakes in he near future. I hear her red velvets are to die for.

Where do I begin to explain how DISAPPOINTED I was when I saw this cake!! My GOD it was a disaster, just look at these pictures and PLEASE SOMEBODY explain how YOU would feel to order a Baby Shower cake that looks like the LAST picture just without the Flowers and Mushrooms and receive THIS LOPSIDED CAKE that cost $350!!!! ARE you kidding me?? PLUS $20 Delivery FEE. We had a beautiful table and the cake was expected to be a BEAUTIFUL cake as the center piece and then we receive this from Sharon who dropped it off and quickly left so no one would confront her about the horrible work she was delivering. PAPER CUTOUTS and 99cent palm trees. Really? I was helping organize this baby shower and I had to come here to YELP and hope customers see what kind of work she has to offer and to top it off, she doesn't respond to email or phone calls we are asking for a refund or some kind of EXPLANATION. This cake was lopsided and mid party guests noticed it was falling as you can see these pictures speak for themselves. NEVER again will we order from this woman.

As a mom, I envisioned that I would be making my kids' birthday cakes and sewing their Halloween costumes every year. Reality finally hit. When that time came for my son's 4th birthday, I was given the recommendation of having someone make his cake so that I could concentrate on others things, like relaxing, not staying up all hours to finish everything and not stressing out over the lack of time left. At first I was hesitant to break my tradition. But as the event was approaching and planning began to expand, I was all for it. Having Pink and Moist make my son's cake was the best idea ever!!! Not only did it free me up to concentrate on other aspects of his birthday, the cake and cupcakes were DELICIOUS!!!! Looking back, I wish I did this all along. Pink and Moist is absolutely mouthwatering!!! The presentation speaks for itself. When looking at the arrangement of cupcakes, towering tall, perfectly symmetrical, you stop for a moment to choose the perfect one that calls out to you. The frosting is fluffy and in one deep inhalation you could devour it, but it's best to wait. Let your hunger build until your belly pulls and persists; your mouth salivates with anticipation. When it's time, you cradle the cupcake in your hand, savor the moment. You slow down; sense the coolness of the frosting on your lips. Your first bite of moist, soft cake, engulf your mouth. An orchestra of sensations radiate in your mouth as you smile to yourself at the realization that this cupcake is the BOMB!!!!! Pink and Moist is the epitome of quality service and product. Whether it is your birthday, child's birthday, any special occasion, holidays, you will not be disappointed.

The BEST brownies and Rice Krispy treat ever!! We had a Mickey and Minnie themed Bday party and all the goodies turned out just the way I wanted! If you're looking for desserts INDIVIDUALLY wrapped, I highly recommend Pink & Moist!! She also does use high quality chocolates for everything!!

    Monster eye cake tres leches

I contacted quite a few places to have custom monster cakes created for my baby's first birthday. Most of them were ridiculously overpriced and not what I wanted. That is until I found Sharon of Pink N Moist. We exchanged plenty of emails and I sent her pics of what I wanted my cake pops and treats to look like. I ordered a small cake for 10 people, two dozen cake pops, two dozen pretzel rods, and two dozen Rice Krispies all for $200. She was absolutely wonderful to work with and made everything possible in two weeks. She also delivered and I was running late but she waited until one of my family members arrived which was amazing and I very much appreciated. Now let's talk about the taste. I ordered the cake in tres leches, the cake pops in chocolate and they were absolutely fantastic. Everything she made was beautiful even though they were monsters and tasted so good. I will definitely be coming back to her for my son's future birthdays.

The Drunken Peach Cobbler Cupcakes were simply delicious! My friends loved them. I would definitely order again. Thank you Sharon!

I'm always hunting for spots like this because I have a weakness for those over-the-top, Instagram-worthy desserts that look like diabetes in a dish. Like most places in this genre, A Buttercup is small, modern, and minimalist with limited seating. If you plan to go, aim for off-hours unless you enjoy waiting in line for sugar. The decor is cute and trendy, perfect for photos if that's part of your dessert ritual. As they say, "you eat with your eyes first," and when it comes to presentation, this place definitely gets an A+. The desserts look stunning and set high expectations. Unfortunately, that's where things started to crumble. It's like going to see your favorite artist live. You've watched the videos, memorized the songs, and paid for the experience. But instead of the electric performance you imagined, you get someone lip-syncing and barely connecting with the crowd. That was this place in dessert form. We ordered the Mango Bingsoo on our first visit, and when it arrived, we were surprised by how small the portion was. The guy next to us even looked over and said, "Whatever that is, I'm getting that next time." He shouldn't have. The Bingsoo looked great but was bland, and the "snow" was more chunky ice than soft shave. The Thai Tea Roti was also not what I expected. It came with Thai tea ice cream and sauce alongside a roti that was fried to a crunch. Interesting idea, just not the best execution. The sauce and ice cream needed a stronger Thai tea flavor to balance the crispy roti, and the flavors never quite came together. Overall, A Buttercup nails the aesthetics but misses the flavor. If you're here for the photos, you'll be happy. If you're here for the taste, you'll leave with a full camera roll and an unsatisfied sweet tooth.

The coconut strips were also the perfect addition. Super decadent and overall the perfect sweet treat I agree with the other reviews that portions + presentation are a bit disappointing, but it was still undeniably tasty food

We originally went to the location near Union Square, thinking we'd be able to grab pastries and hot chocolate, only to realize it's primarily a retail shop with chocolate bars and merchandise. We ended up making our way to the Valencia Street location, and I'm so glad we did. We learned that it used to be the original factory before they outgrew the space. Production has since moved a few blocks away, and now this location offers classes, a café, and plenty of chocolate treats. While we were there, a chocolate-making class was in session, and it was fun to watch part of it. The instructor even came over to chat with us and answer a few questions, which was such a nice personal touch. We ordered the brownie bite flight along with a hot chocolate, and both were fantastic. The brownie flight was rich, flavorful, and a fun way to sample different chocolates. The hot chocolate came with a tiny cookie that was absolutely delicious. At first, we were a little disappointed because we thought our hot chocolate was supposed to come with a marshmallow and didn't see one. When we mentioned it, the instructor smiled and showed us a toppings station we had completely missed. There were homemade marshmallows, flavored sugar cubes, and other little extras you could add yourself. He even encouraged us to take a few extra marshmallows, and they were some of the best I've ever had. One thing to know before you go is that Dandelion Chocolate focuses on high-quality chocolate that isn't overly sweet. If you're expecting the sugary milk chocolate flavor of a candy bar, this is a different experience. The chocolate has a richer, more complex flavor, and we really enjoyed trying something different. Between the friendly staff, delicious treats, and unique experience, I'd definitely recommend adding it to your itinerary--just make sure you head to the café location if you're looking for food and drinks!

The flavor is so strong and I love the nuttiness to it. I think their matcha is from stonemill matcha! The thai jasmine green tea latte was also surprisingly really good. It was unique, and I liked how I could taste both the thai tea and the jasmine tea, they were both present and strong. I especially liked the jasmine aftertaste that lingered. Super floral! The japanese milk coffee was less bitter/strong compared to typical coffee ice cream, probably hence the milk. I think I would've enjoyed a stronger aroma of coffee flavor more, but it was still yum! The genmaicha is like a green tea with toasted rice, so it had a nutty flavor to it. I really don't think you're going to go wrong with any flavor because they all tasted so amazing to me. The line went pretty fast on a Wednesday evening, but I can't imagine what it's like on a weekend. There's a bit of seating inside to enjoy your ice cream. They let you try three flavors, and I tried two, and both were so good I just decided on the spot. My first sample was the Salty Kaya. WOW. Heaven in my mouth. A burst of coconut and the saltiness that paired so well together. There's a reason this flavor has a permanent spot on the menu and isn't just a seasonal flavor! My second choice was the Funky Miso. I guess I love the sweet and savory combo. Also delicious! But not quite the flavor explosion in my mouth like the Salty Kaya. This one really grew on me after several spoonfuls of it. I really like that the single scoop allows you to get two flavors. How can I decide on just one when they have so many fun flavors?? I love this spot and will absolutely be returning. I'm still thinking about the Salty Kaya weeks later.
