We've been to Naya's on Geary several times and liked that location a lot. We decided to try this location as it has better reviews and was closer to where we were. We got the mango tango ~$18 after tax. This place is more modern, with a cleaner and bigger bathroom. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be returning to this location as the prices are more expensive and the portions are much smaller. Service was quick and our dessert came out shortly after it was ordered. Street parking was pretty easy to find.

I visited NaYa with my friend and we ordered the kaya toast and mango sticky rice. The mango sticky rice is delicious, and the mango is super sweet and yummy. The sticky rice is also delicious, and the ice cream pairs very well with the coconut cream drizzled throughout the dish. The kaya toast is super unique and delicious! The chunks of bread that come sliced are drizzled in the pandan paste and slowly absorb the ice cream topping the dessert. This place gets pretty busy at night, but was relatively quiet at 5 PM on a Sunday for my friend and me. Overall you can't go wrong with anything you try at NaYa, the hardest part will be deciding what to get and to only get one!

I've been meaning to try Naya for so long (literally years), and I'm so glad I finally did! The cafe is super cute, and the food is delicious. I tried the kaya toasted, and it was really good! I love all the various toppings and how thoughtful they were with the presentation. It's a bit on the pricey side, but the portions are pretty big so they're definitely shareable. Looking forward to coming back and trying more from their menu!

Felt like dessert after a day in the city, thought we'd try NaYa in Hayes Valley. Local hangout. Young crowd and good vibes. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs - but what a great surprise. We started our evening with the Mango Tango. That Sticky Rice was the Main Wow! Not to take anything away from the coconut & mango, just that rice. I could have had that on its own. We then ended the night with the Toasted Kaya. Warm Bread with the right crunchiness. Another fun & tasty surprise. All in all - we will probably share just one dish next time - but definitely coming back

The best way to cool off on a warm day! We visited NaYa for dessert after brunch at aMano. It's not a big space & was pretty full but the host/server had a 2 top table available. It was kinda hot & stuffy inside even with the door open because it was a warm day. We were told in advance that orders would take approximately 20-30 minutes to arrive because they were short staffed at the time (additional staff arrived after an hour). My friend had to Thai tea crepe cake & I had the mango tango (because I looooove mangoes). The Thai tea crepe was pretty good, lots of Thai tea flavor, and not too sweet. The Thai tea custard sauce added a bit of sweetness to it. The mango tango was sooo good! I loved the coconut ice cream (it's a shaved from a block of ice cream so it's really fluffy). The fresh mango was served on the side in addition to a small bowl of coconut, sticky rice and additional mango sauce. Service was as efficient as possible. Server was helpful too.

Salted Egg Custard Croffle - really tiny and the salted egg was on the grainy side. Good but expensive

Love that they close at 11:00pm every day! Walked in at 10:40pm on a Thursday. Had 5 minutes to order before kitchen closed, ordered the Salted Egg Custard Croffle and the Kaya Toasted. The Salted Egg Custard Croffle is TINY! It's not even the size of a full half waffle, they don't put enough batter to cook so it's even smaller! The salted egg custard was on the grainy side, it absolutely tasted like the salted egg yolk of a mooncake so the flavor was really there but we didn't enjoy the graininess. The croffle was good, pretty standard and nothing special. Wouldn't get it again because it was way too small for the price point. The Kaya Toasted is essentially milk bread toasted with pandan custard sauce, young coconut, banana, toasted almond, and vanilla ice cream. Replaced banana for strawberry at no extra charge and I wish I replaced the vanilla ice cream for coconut so I'll definitely be doing that next time! This was really good, we were craving the Burnt Butter Kaya Toast from Khao Tiew, hold the wait time, and this absolutely curbed our cravings. The pandan sauce is on the slightly artificial side but still really fragrant and creamy! There's REAL young coconut which added a nice fresh touch and the two generous scoops of vanilla ice cream was a perfect pairing to the soft toasted milk bread. I would definitely come back to get this (but get coconut ice cream)! Service was good and food came out fresh and fast. On the pricier side, but the quality is there. No frills, chill date night dessert spot. I'd come back!

We ordered the Mango Sticky Rice set, which comes with both the bingsoo and the traditimango sticky rice. The bingsoo was excellent--it had a rich, milky flavor with a perfectly smooth texture and no icy chunks. I also loved the sticky rice; it was served nice and warm with a perfect hint of saltiness. Overall, it's a fantastic dessert spot! Just keep in mind that the shop is quite small, so the wait times can be long, and there is a card fee for any orders under $20.

Went at 5:30pm and the service was great since there wasn't really anyone there. It does get pretty busy around 7/8pm. Service seems to decline around that time which makes sense. The food is delicious!! I would mostly go for the dessert options but their dinner food is not bad either. I had their mango tango which was a 7/10. Would've rated it higher if the ice was mango flavored. I highly recommend trying the pandan bread box. The bread is toasted perfectly and matches amazingly with the pandan and condensed milk flavors. The energy is high especially during the busy hours!

Thank you to my girlfriend for throwing out the idea of dessert & in return, recommending NaYa Dessert Cafe. NaYA offers Asian desserts that specializes in Thai flavors. Here you will find an abundance of desserts ranging from bingsu [creamy shaved ice], crepes, buttered toast cubes, crepe cakes, croffles, and ice cream. NaYa doesn't stop there and offers so much more. For those who are searching for salty, umami dishes you can find curry plates, assorted appetizers, and savory crepes. Wash everything down with hot teas, iced teas, or coffees. Dessert for the night: * HOKKAIDO MILLE CREPE CAKE * GOLDEN TOASTED [ w/ coconut ice cream] * STICKY RICE [no mango] The dessert was amazing all across the board but what stood out was 100% the sticky rice. NaYa did its thang with that!! The sticky rice was cooked perfectly, it was coated well with the delicious coconut milk, and had the best balance of salty sweetness. I didn't miss or need the mango at all. The golden toasted was delicious, so delicious that I easily annihilated the plate. Personally the ice cream wasn't anything great and it just took up space on my plate IMO. Mille crepe cakes looked beautiful but I can't speak on the taste. 5/5 stars for the sticky rice alone! The other desserts weren't too shabby either. I'd happily come back and I cannot thank my girl enough for introducing me to this joint. FYI: The cafe is small in size and with the large crowd that continued to grow outside of the business's door kind gives you a rushed vibe. Yes, they want to maximize sales so once you're finishing up your plate, the tab will immediately be brought to your table.

Kaya toasted - Everything I wanted it to be and more. Bread is soft and stretchy and perfectly toasted. Kaya is plentiful and flavorful. Young coconut is delicious. Two full scoops of ice cream. Just perfect.

    Royal milk tea Bingsu

Fun little dessert shop! We ordered the Royal Milk Tea Bingsu, which was very rich flavor in flavor and had a creamy texture. It was a bit on the smaller side, pictured is a large, but perhaps also a bit cheaper ($18). Probably good for 2-3 people. I liked the sweet crystal boba and brown sugar syrup. There was a small wait, like 5-10 minute for a table of 2 on a Tuesday around 7pm. Service is quick and getting your order is fast too. We only waited like 5 minutes.

I recommend the royal milk tea bingsu! The snow is very rich with flavor and has great texture. However it did melt faster than other bingsu I've had. The toppings were tasty - I like the brown sugar syrup and the graham cracker pieces. The downside is the portions are on the smaller side. There was a small wait when I went and it was crowded on a Tuesday after work even in the rain. The staff are all friendly and nice! Cute restaurant overall.

4.5/5, a solid dessert place in SF! - Kaya Toast: love the pandan flavor, and the bread is toasted really and just sweet enough. I wish there was a bit more of the coconut strips and the fresh type but maybe it's due to seasonal availability. The banana was just kinda there. - Salted Egg Bingsu: it seems to be a seasonal flavor, but a really great deconstructed iced version of a classic salted egg lava custard bun.

The Mocha with the house made nut milk fell flat. It needed something. I am not a fan of syrupy coffees and appreciate the more purist approach but this one just didn't do anything for me. The chai latte which I would never order was actually the best chai latte I have ever had, it was smooth like silk. Maybe I just had the wrong coffee order. Besides that, got the hot chocolate and the coffee tasting. I was surprised there was no explanation provided with the coffee- I figured it's all Honduran but an overview of some sort would have helped. I enjoyed all the coffees in there except the latte. Will visit again, earlier in the day so they are not out of their best sellers and try a different order.

But Katsu is really becoming the new hype of the day for Japanese food, following the Sushi, Ramen, Japanese Curry, Katsu trend. So I came in with a critical view. I feel like Yoshoku in general may be next but I yet again digress. The box sandwich came in a cute little box. The inside was packed so I couldn't get a chance to fully appreciate the cafe, but the service was nice though the pay line may have moved slower than hoped. I'll say this. This is "the" best katsu sando in the bay. The katsu is crispy, but little on the softer side. But this hardness matches perfectly with the absolutely tender, soft, juicy pork wrapped inside. I'm looking at the menu again and it all makes sense. The pork has been in shio koji, making the meat ever so tender while adding the subtle but complicated marinated flavor. The cabbage is plenty, but not over packed to take away from the main Katsu flavor. What really perfects it for me, was not only the sweet and savory katsu sauce, but the mayo with dash of I think a karashi mustard. That slight tingle, the perfect kick gives a powerful awakening of flavor that really sets the it apart. This is art, an artisan. Culinary art is the refuge no raging rampant AI slop "art" can ever hope to touch. Until the day we get some cyborg implant to our brain into gustatory, olfactory functions. Even then, I don't think any tasteless tech bro are hopeless to create anything unique or beautiful.
