I came in as a walk in. The first thing I asked is if they had cat eye gel polish. The guy at the front desk said yes so I requested a mani pedi with cat eye gel polish. the pedicure is over and the lady couldn't find the polish. Finally they find a little box with about 8 colors in it, all of which I did not like. I am upset and feel played. Guess I could have asked before to see the colors but they knew damn well they didn't have an adequate selection. Guy at the front could have said they only have a few colors. Also, because they did some new renovations, the chairs for the pedicure the water can only get so hot. Me and T he lady next to me kept asking for hotter water and it can't. I personally don't think the water was very hot at all. Also charge 3% on credit and debit card charges and to avoid that you have to use electronic payment. Shady...won't recommend nor come back. If I could give 0 stars I would. The bad reviews are 100% true. I just wish I had seen them before I came here. I was a walk-in and I made it clear that I just wanted a REGULAR pedicure with REGULAR polish. As a walk-in, I knew I'd have to wait so I was fine with that (it was about 20 mins or so I waited). I told the woman once again that I wanted regular polish and she handed me the gel polish colors to look at. I asked her "Is this gel?" and she says "Yes". I told her again that I wanted regular and she says "Gel lasts longer". OK... I am annoyed at this point and tell her "This is true but I asked for regular". I ended up picking a color anyway to see if she would charge me the gel price. She paints my toes with the gel polish and then asks me to pay and then sit my feet next to a fan. I was charged the regular price (I think this is because she didn't cure the polish it didn't make it long-lasting). She tells me to sit there for 10 mins but after 5 mins the owner tells me I can leave... thanks I guess? Today is the NEXT DAY. 24 hours later to be exact and 3 of my toes are chipped. I agree with her that gel lasts longer, but even regular polish does not chip within 24 hours. I find that highly unacceptable. Another thing about my experience, she literally made my toe BLEED. She was picking at them so roughly that my toe started to bleed in the corners. I am the type of person who will give the entire experience a chance and see the outcome before complaining. I should've complained more in the moment but I figured if I could warn someone else not to spend their hard-earned money (even if it's $45) here then that would be ok. this was my first time coming to pink nail & spa, and i will say that they are a pretty clean nail salon (especially regarding the pandemic) i had one nail tech to helped me during the entire visit (she did my pedicure and my manicure) during my pedicure, everything was fine aside from the time she tried to clean my nails. she went too deep on both my big toes and caused them to bleed. she tried to explain that she was cleaning them and that they were a bit hard to clean, but still.. i immediately got concerned over the fact that my toes were bleeding. with my manicure, i felt like she was rushing a bit. all in all, she was a friendly nail tech and my nails did come out nicely. but for the price i paid ($100+ tip) i feel like i shouldn't have left with my toes bleeding and being in pain. read more

First time visit Services: Full set, pedicure and eyebrow wax I went around 10 am and was tended to quickly. Alex was great and did a great job on my pedicure. I was sent to Daisy for my full set, I walked over sat down and said hello with no response. She was having a conversation with another worker but I'm sitting right in front of her, she should have at least greeted me and then continued her conversation. After about a minute or so she finally said how are you? It may not be a big deal to some but I am a supervisor in the customer service field and if I'm paying top notch dollar for service I expect top notch customer service. I can say Daisy did an amazing job on my nails, so I will try them out again. I also got my eyebrows waxed, I stated multiple times I just wanted a clean up and to keep my square shape. She said she was going to give me a shape and I repeated I wanted to keep my square shape and she said mmhmm, she then proceeded to shape my eyebrows as hers were which is not what I asked for. Aaron, please don't post inaccuracies about my appointment. I came prepared with what I wanted and even provided and alternate but learned that you have certain ways of doing things that other nail techs no not. I could see if I was sitting there for 5 or 10 minutes looking for designs while nothing was happening, taking up other clients time, but that wasn't the case at all. I even still chose to provide a tip because I believe people shouldn't outright be a jerk when a service has been provided. Maybe you're used to a certain type of clientele doing that when they're dissatisfied but thats not my mentality. It's ok if you have preferences but maybe providing more specifics or setting up in a way for people to send pictures of their ideal design upon booking would be more helpful for all so they know what they're getting into and ultimately can book the proper appointment not to waste their time or yours. My comment of your lack of professionalism came from after my appointment upon your rude text and taking it a step further to 'block me on IG'. So even if I wanted to refer you, which I potentially still would have, I guess I don't get that opportunity. Furthermore, maybe it's something of "the past" or just my preferences to have a nail tech that will use their own creativity rather than copy a picture. Horrible Customer Service from Kim! I went to this nail salon yesterday for a pedicure and full set. The woman who did my nails was very unpleasant. She consistently tried to sell me items that I did not request and she argued with me when I told her that I didn't want to wear my shoes to get my toenails polished, AND when I asked her to leave my nails shaped in their natural roundish square shape, AND when I said I didn't want gel polish. Her favorite word seems to be "No" and she loves to use it on customers. "No, you can't wear the disposable shoes from the shop because you brought your own shoes" "No I won't polish your nails with the color you selected. Get gel instead." "No, that gel color doesn't match the other color I'm going to use this color." "No, I'm not going to leave your nails in their natural shape. I'm going to file them down into squares." She was so pushy that I eventually gave in and got the polish that I didn't want. Then she did a terrible job of polishing my fingernails and toenails. My toenail polish kept smudging. Instead of removing it and starting again she kept adding layers of polish and it looked horrible. I left because I was frustrated and I'd already been in the shop for several hours, but I was not pleased. I went back today because I was so dissatisfied and she proceeded to add MORE polish on top of the smudged polish, plus she dripped nail polish on my shoe. I asked her to remove the polish and start again and she refused. I can't do it myself because my nails are covered with this ridiculous polish that I didn't want that was forced on me. "Once again she was a champion at saying the word "No." "No I will polish over instead of removing the smudged polish." So now my fingernails look like cubes and my toenails look like I painted them myself in the dark with the brush clamped between my teeth. Unacceptable lack of concern for customer satisfaction. I told her I didn't see the message and that I didn't know that I had to respond or she wouldn't come. Instead of her telling me this she told me since I want to complain she's not going to my nails since my time is so precious. My time is important and that's why I made an appointment. I tried this place for a few months. I always booked with Aaron or Mimi on Style Seat, which was easy enough. They do good work. They can replicate most designs you show them, when they're not rushing. The reason for the two stars is they have no respect for their customers time. I had to make each appointment at least three weeks in advance, which was fine. But I'd be kept waiting 45-60 minutes each time I showed up for an appointment. Sometimes they would text me that they were running behind and sometimes they wouldn't. I'd show up as scheduled and have to just sit. If they did text, I'd usually only get about 20 minutes notice, and by then I'd usually already be on the way to the salon. Sometimes I would get notifications that earlier appointments opened up, which I could take advantage of for an additional fee of $10. Like I said, they do good work, but it's definitely not worth the hassle of being treated like this. read more

I will start by saying the I was greeted by a friendly staff member upon my arrival. That's probably the only good thing I have to say. This place is way over priced. I usually pay $25 for and overlay and gel polish. This placed charged me $45 almost double. It was about 5 customers in there at the time and maybe 10 employees. They kept making us play musical chairs. One person would do your nails, one person would paint them and if you wanted something additional like a design you had to see someone else. I noticed they bounced one lady around at least 4 times. I only stopped here because I was in the area but I was taught a valuable lesson. Mimi and Aaron can have all of my money !!! By far two of the best nail techs in the laurel area & the prices are totally worth it. I've made my rounds with these dmv nail salons and 9/10 times it's a miss and not a hit. They can do almost any design you bring to them. Only thing that grinds my gears is having to book them through StyleSeat because they're usually booked up for for at least 3 weeks. The good thing about them though I will is that even if you can't get Mimi or Aaron there's other techs that are as equally talented and can give you jazzy nails if you want something more than just color. DON'T GET YOUR NAILS DONE BY THE GUY THAT SITS AT THE VERY BACK SEAT TO THE RIGHT. If they move him, he looks older, is chubby, and has like a beer belly. The quality of his work is bad. I used to go to the same location before when the name of the place was different. Once they changed the name I guess the ppl changed. The guy who did my nails about two weeks ago was horrible. He filed my nails so much they started to hurt. He filed one of my fingers so much that it turned red and was hurting the most. When he put the nail polish on it stung so bad. I usually can take pain but this was concerning. A week later it started to bleed and all. I hope that it doesn't get infected because if it does, I have already gotten proof that I could sue them. I usually don't leave reviews but I had to do this one. I don't want you to take that chance. If you can, try to go somewhere else. Also, I have pretty tricky fingers so if a nail salon can do my nails they will definitely be able to do yours. This new place isn't the one. Some of the ladies that work at this nail spa are very rude, money hungry and condescending. Also INSENSITIVE. This morning I soaked my recent set off to get my nails done. Keep in mind my nail bed is already thin. I told the young lady that she's going to have to be gentle with my nails. Because my nail bed is THIN. Usually when I go to other nail salons the nail tech's are very gentle with my nails and I see great results. But this particular day. This particular nail tech said she NEEDED to go over my nail bed ROUGH, which sounded completely false. Each time I made a complaint about her drilling my nail bed roughly her demeanor became more aggressive, she kept hounding me asking me what I wanted to get every 30-40's when I was still in the process of deciding if I wanted to do gel or regular manicure. After I made one last complaint she said something slick in her native tongue than called somebody else to do my nails. I believe she was having a hard day as it is, but what that got to do with me ? Only two people know how to do crazy cute nails...all the other nail techs are trash! Went in for a gel fullset & gel pedicure for an out of town trip which took THREE hours. Normally this seems reasonable but this was on a WEDNESDAY and the salon was NOT busy being as tho my service began when I walked in. After being asked what length I wanted and stating "long" she cut my nails short anyway. I also was supposed to get a coffin shape but did not receive the shape I wanted. When it was finally time to pay, I asked her to correct my nail shape since I was being charged anyway. She refused and only took off the shape charge. I then paid and left due to not wanting to be there any more than the 3 hours I was already there.
