Recently visited this gem in the Mag-town neighborhood... highly recommend trying this out! Delicious food. We had a tenderloin dish that rocked my world, and a tasty, tasty fish dish. There were some house made potato chips, but like other root vegetables too...and the salsas were unique and just spot on...plus the space is absolutely gorgeous, like, "give me another drink, I just want to chill here..." gorgeous. What a gem in magnolia village! First of all.... the decor! It's very tasteful and so pretty. I absolutely love the Himalayan pink salt back bar! The cocktails are pricey but so amazing... everything hand done, even the simple syrup is made in house. The food is also amazing! Had the Homemade fettuccinewith Spanish pesto and chicken breast! Excellent service We got to meet the owner who seat us right away. The food was phenomenal, very tasty, and reasonable sized portions. Their unique drinks from the drink menu were well balanced and delicious, so much we kept ordering them. And their dessert who I was to full to have but the kids didn't was the perfect finished to a great evening. As a seasoned foodie, I am absolutely excited about this new spot in Magnolia. The ambiance is refreshing and took me to another place. Upon reviewing the menu, our lovely waitress arrived to our table and gracefully enticed us to select the special which was beyond what our pallet could anticipate! I highly recommend requesting the server in the lounge area, I believe her name may be Shelly. Be sure to ask for her recommendations, she encouraged us to select several paired dishes creating a family style experience and even knew what wines to suggest. My fiancé and I came here on our honeymoon trip to Seattle and we were disappointed with Pink Salt to say the least. We order the Yuca Fries for an appetizer and they were tiny and unseasoned for $11. The meat itself was tasty but the portion size was so small for over $30. This place is HOPPING! Such a fun and energetic neighborhood hotspot. We tried several items and all were fun, fresh, innovative, and beautifully displayed. A few of my favorites were the tasty homemade potato chips that I think were complimentary - several different kinds of potatoes and came with 2 dips. I would even go for just those and drinks‍ (LOL!). My fav entree was the tenderloin- OMG it was cooked perfectly and everything about it was so tasty. I also had a pisco sour and it was authentic and delightful. The ambiance and decor is gorgeous, staff were super friendly and the hostess that was there on the night we came was such a kick! She kept stopping by to check in a make sure we were being taken care of (we sat in the bar on the fabulous velvet couch). We were even visited by both owners throughout our evening there - we felt like VIPs. The whole experience was great, I'll definitely be back. Great for a ladies night or date night. read more

I was excited to learn about this restaurant and eager to try the addition to my new neighborhood. I had a "two-fer" yesterday: met a friend for afternoon drinks (and discovered there is no happy hour on Friday), and then later had dinner with my husband. The good: 1. Cocktails! I am a sucker for herbs in my cocktails and enjoyed one featuring apricot & basil, and another with lavendar simple syrup -- both with gin bases. Delish! 2. The outdoor patio! It was a pleasant afternoon for sitting in the semi shade of an umbrella watching the village go by. 3. The ceviche! I'd never had huge chunks of fish in ceviche before, but it was surprisingly well marinated and tasty. The less good: 1. Value: for dinner we had a tenderloin appetizer that either was NOT beef tenderloin, or was an extremely poor cut. It was flank-steak like. The sauce was flavorful, but between the beef quality and overall quantity, $17 was too much. Our mains were the smoked black cod ($35) and the arroz con mariscos ($32). The cod had a nice smokiness, but no other flavor apparent. It would benefit from some sort of marinade or at least a little pink salt. Small portion (with a small side of beet/potato cubes) had my husband pausing his eating so as not to finish 10 minutes before me. My arroz dish was a good portion, but mostly rice -- good flavoring to it, but for the price I would expect more than 3 shrimp, 3 mussels, and 3 tiny clams. The seafood was lost among a large bowl of tasty rice. 2. Service: as others have said, it was a bit uneven. My husband never received his 2nd drink and nobody came back to check on us. It seemed there were only 2 servers where there should have been 4, as the restaurant was busy. Hopefully that can be worked out. My husband & I agreed we would go back for happy hour (Sunday through Thursday), but didn't feel the mains were worth the price. read more

We had a wonderful experience at Pink Salt. We went with a large group (including children) on a busy Saturday night and they accommodated us gracefully. The staff and owners made us feel at home. First time at Pink Salt and we'll be back. Fun, solid, drink menu. Lovely ambiance. Especially great for a date night and drinks with friends in the swanky lounge area. The Pisco Sour was fantastic. The freshly mixed house margarita has loads of grapefruit in it and was tangy rather than sweet, which I appreciated. We ordered the classic ceviche, a lobster special, and the asparagus salad. This combination made for a great balance of flavors; the ceviche (which was a large portion) had good bite from the lime and onion which was nicely balanced out by the candied walnuts in the arugula & asparagus salad. The lobster special was large enough to split and came with a delicious slightly spicy curry sauce and basmati rice. We finished with a to-die-for lava cake with mango sorbet. We hadn't planned on dessert but would go back just for that! As a brand new restaurant, they appear to be working out little kinks with kitchen timing, and the location and limited hours makes for higher prices than in busier parts of the city, but the staff bends over backwards to provide good service. Pink Salt is a welcome addition to Magnolia and definitely worth the trip especially if you combine it with a visit to one of the beautiful view parks in the area. read more

Went last night for dinner and was so pleased! The decor is beautiful, with touches of authentic Peruvian details, but is still very clean and modern. The food was wonderful! Ceviche was fresh and bright, papas a la huancaina were so flavorful, the seafood dish had such great flavor and texture. The mushroom wontons were also delicious! Had dinner on a Saturday with family and friends and was really hoping to like it as I live in Magnolia. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience and would up waiting 90 minutes for our entrees. They lost our ticket and although the server tried her best, they just seemed very disorganized. The food was uneven, with some dishes tasty (traditional ceviche, wild mushroom wanton, peruvian salad) and some mediocre and underseasoned (nikkei style ceviche, beef skewer, chicken entree). They comped us dessert but the sorbet they brought out was mostly melted (my daughter asked "is sorbet supposed to be warm?"!). Disappointing experience overall. read more

I went to this restaurant with a friend that told me oh this is like the best Peruvian restaurant and I am Peruvian I grew up there and I know how everything is supposed to be and this is a gourmet overpriced place We ordered anticuchos and pollo a la braza and let me tell you the anticuchos were so so good but served in very small portions (expensive anyways) and when the chicken arrived it looked so good so good but then I tried it and I was like tf is this it doesn't have any taste and it was covered in a juice all over that looked yummy but that's not how is supposed to be (I know I am Peruvian ? ) and then I asked the server for out of curiosity if they had applications because I would like to work there and he was extremely rude he told me there's no paper application and I asked is there online application? And he said no that I would have to contact his manager whenever he gets there and then he tries to rush me out the door because I was asking for employment ? I was disappointed and I wouldn't want anybody else to feel sorry for themselves for not being able to apply to a place that represents your own culture and represents it in not very good way :/ read more

We visited the restaurant soon after its opening. We were looking forward to the visit since we live in the area however it was a very disappointing experience. First, my husband was under medication for heartburn that night and did not want to order alcohol. When our server first arrived she described the menu and asked to take our drinks menu. My husband politely said he'd be drinking water that night and she was appalled. She went onto say "who comes to a restaurant and orders water with their food"? That bugged him. She then left. After a long wait she came back and insisted on us ordering drinks. She kept pressuring on and was really uncomfortable. I ended up going for a beer on the menu which they were out. After choosing another beer it too had run out. After an incredibly long wait (let me add the place was not busy at all) the food arrived, I ordered ceviche which was okay but ingredients were clearly missing from the description on the menu. Not to mention it was expensive and tiny. The main dish was the smoked fish which also extremely expensive for its size. My husband ordered the lomo saltado which was okay but again not worth its cost. All in all, although the food was just okay but pricey but biggest problem was the server. We won't be returning any time soon until staff changes take place. read more

The restaurant is very cool looking on the inside. I liked the atmosphere and the waiter was well informed on what was on the menu. The place was not crowded and we didn't have to wait on a Wednesday night. It started out okay-although the amount of wine that was poured into our glasses for $14 each was pretty lame. It was just house cabernet too. The ceviche appetizer was okay-nothing too special. The main course we got was absolutely terrible, and something I'll never forget. It was some deepfried seafood crud that was mostly just crusty stuff that was almost inedible. I'm not very picky, and we didn't complain, but thinking back, it was the worst meal I've had of any kind in years. The fries were soggy, and the only thing I asked for was ketchup, which never came. Then, the bill was like $130, and I noted that it included 3 desserts, which we didn't order. Then, when we were done, we wandered a bit toward the bar and the back room and some woman acted like "what are you doing, you can't just walk around in here" It wasn't a good experience. The Greek place around the corner is 1/4 the price for great food. I would never go back to Pink Salt, unless maybe for a beer. read more

My wife and I went to the restaurant a couple of Sundays ago when there was a renowned guitarist playing there. Not our first visit but decidedly worse than our previous ones. This visit was decidedly spoiled by our middle aged and absent-minded server. She got things wrong, we waited a very long time for our main course but when she finally showed up, it was with dessert menus. When I asked about the main course she said she'd "send it to the kitchen right away". It came about 10 minutes later. I got the chicken in vegetable stew, my wife the tenderloin. The chicken was the worst I have had in a very long time. It was burned on one side and bone dry, sitting in a drying out mass. I suspect it had in fact been prepared at the right time but sitting out there, forgotten by our server, who added on ten minutes to make it look like it came straight from the pan. My wife's tenderloin was somewhat better, but also looked and tasted tired. In short, what could have been a wonderful experience, was totally spoiled by our server. Other than that, the restaurant is very nice, very pleasant host and owner Corino, warm and comfortable interior with a fireplace, The appetizers were very good, we tried the two kinds of ceviche and the anticucho, but like I said, downhill from there and skipped dessert after the main course that we did not eat!. Fortunately, we had a very nice guitar concert throughout dinner so if we go back, it will be to enjoy the live music, if there is any. Bravo maestro! read more
