Food - We came for restaurant week, so we both started off with the clam chowder. Good portion and delicious. They gave us bread & butter to start, so I actually dipped some bread into the clam chowder which made it kinda nicer. I had the sirloin. Don't judge but I like my steak well done. I actually asked for med-well because I get embarrassed asking for well done, but it actually came well done. The potatoes were really good, but the asparagus was just ok. For dessert I had the creme brulee. The sugar topping was kind of thick which made the whole dessert really sweet. It was nice that it had fruit on top because that helped cut into the sweetness. I tried a bite of my husband's key lime pie, but I don't really like key lime anyways so it was not for me. Service - Excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. He even mentioned the smoker for the drinks wasn't working well so he could still bring the smokey drink, but it might not live up to expectations. Totally appreciate that! They also boxed up our food for us at the end of the night. Ambiance - upscale. Good for fancy dates and big occasions. Tons of large parties when we went. The location is beautiful! I think you can also rent out the sunroom, which we didn't sit in. The sun was setting while we were there and it was very romantic. The entrance also has a pond with a waterfall.

Palisade is such a beautiful place to celebrate a special occasion. The views are stunning, especially overlooking the water and marina, which makes the whole experience feel really special. The service was great and the staff made the evening feel memorable. I celebrated an anniversary here and it was the perfect setting for it. Between the scenery, the atmosphere, and the attentive service, it made for a really lovely celebration

When you enter this restaurant it is beautiful! Definitely a lovely dining experience. We were a large party of about 15. Our server was excellent and attentive. The appetizers and main dishes were delicious. It is a little pricey, but I'd definitely recommend.

    Seafood tower. Not good

We came here last night to celebrate my birthday. What a mistake. Both service and food were not good. I made a reservation here which they called to confirm. I put in both the reservation notes and also told them when they called that we needed a high chair for my toddler. When we got to the table there wasn't one and the hostess seemed annoyed when I told her we needed one and said she would see if they had one. Service was insanely slow from the beginning to the end. It took forever to put in our orders and food was slow to arrive. I finally asked after having been there for close to an hour and a half where the kids meals were for the 2 kids in the party and they said would rush them out because they hadn't put for them to come out earlier. The kids were starving at that point. It should be common sense to bring out the food for kids earlier. We got the seafood tower which wasn't good. It was supposed to be for 2 but came with half of a lobster tail, 2 shrimp, some poke, 1 crab leg, and 2 oysters and mussels. For the price, the portion was very small and nothing was remarkable. We also got the yellowfin sushi roll which was fine but didn't have much flavor. I got the Caesar and wasn't a fan. The dressing was watery and I didn't like the peppery dressing they also put on it. The rest of the table got the apple Gorgonzola salad and said the dressing was overly sweet. The entrees came out at the almost 2 hour mark which was ridiculously slow given that the restaurant was maybe half full. The food was fine but lacked flavor. The crab cake we added on wasn't crispy at all and was kind of mushy. Desserts also weren't great. My brother in law ordered an affogato and was served a gravy boat full of espresso and a massive bowl of ice cream, which is not at all how it should come. For a fine dining restaurant, nothing was well executed. He also had ordered a Coke and only got one refill despite being there for almost 3 hours. We had to ask for the refill too and the waitress seemed annoyed for us asking. Definitely stay far away from here. Dinner was around $900 for 4 adults and 2 kids and was absolutely not worth it. What a disappointing birthday.

TDLR: Great place for a celebratory dinner. Not too pricey. $4 / oyster. One complaint is my 10oz ribeye came with about 3 oz of fat. Just personal preference. Service was fast and friendly. Great picturesque, indoor water feature that flows through the front and middle of the restaurant. Food was tasty but I wouldn't say it was anything I haven't tasted before. At a higher end restaurant, a different or exciting taste is something I look forward to, whether that's in the main dishes, appetizers or sides. Didn't get to try dessert because we had a show to catch. Would be interested to see what those taste like !

Service was definitely 5 stars. Our server, Justin, was fabulous. Let me just state that at the top. Made a reservation here for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. When submitting the reservation online, I noted that it was their 50th wedding anniversary and that we'd prefer a table by the window if possible. I later called and verbally confirmed the reservation and reiterated it was their 50th wedding anniversary. One of the reasons I booked here was because of what they supposedly do for anniversaries. Well, that part was a bust. No acknowledgment of their anniversary - their 50th anniversary- at all. Not when we checked in, not anywhere on the table, and our server didn't know until we told him. When we arrived, I noted that we were ok waiting if it meant a table by the window. We were seated shortly after and did score a great table. Our server seemed to think we were a different reservation, commenting "Welcome back!" when it was our first time there. The menu is on the simple side. This a basic fancy seafood and steak restaurant. This isn't where you'll find a new twist on something classic, a fancy foam, etc. The cocktails we had were great. The seafood was definitely fresh. But all of our entrees were overcooked. Since I had the salmon, I didn't mind (I actually like it cooked a little longer). But for a wagyu steak? Not ok - especially when it was ordered medium rare and delivered well done. The server and manager, however, were incredibly nice about it. Everything was wonderfully taken care of - above and beyond. But there was something with the kitchen and/or timing going on. Everything was good and tasty. It was especially great that the teens found their meals enjoyable. My parents were overall happy with the experience too. (But I could tell they were hoping for something a little more on the next level.) The ambiance is nice. A little basic. The big thing is the view. And it's a nice view (but nothing all that amazing). So overall, it's overhyped, but the service is outstanding. And we did have an enjoyable meal and experience.

Sake Marinated Black Cod - Seattle Restaurant Week

I love coming here for Seattle Restaurant Week for the good food and value. The 3 course comes with delicious New England Clam Chowder or Caesar Salad, but I always get the chowder, always. For entrees, we got the Prime Rib, Shellfish Linguine and my favorite, the Sake Marinated Black Cod, which comes with a shrimp cake, shiitake mushrooms, zucchini ribbons with coconut lemon grass curry. We all enjoyed our meals. Dessert options included Key Lime Pie or Creme Brulee. Hubby wanted the Chocolate Turtle Cake from the dessert menu, which we ordered instead for an additional charge. This is definitely a place we visit when we're looking for a nice meal out or celebrating a special occasion. The food is always tasty, but the service can be spotty with food sequencing and being served luke-warm coffee. Once addressed, it was quickly remedied. Even with the minor mishaps, we plan to return.

We ate at Palisade on Thanksgiving, but most of the dishes we ordered are also on their regular menu. The restaurant location is slightly off the beaten path, tucked away near the marina in Magnolia. It is right on the water and the view of West Seattle, Downtown and the marina is great. We even saw an otter and some different sea birds while dining! The restaurant is well decorated and feels slightly upscale to some other seafood restaurants in town, so this is a great option for special occasions or nights where you want something slightly more polished that a casual sit down. The service was great and even on a busy holiday day the staff was attentive and was always on top of refilling our waters or checking in on us. They were also very timely with bringing out the next course soon after we finished the other. For the food, the crab dip is a must get! It was the favorite thing we tried. The lobster bisque was also delicious. I had the seafood trip while my husband had the surf and turf. The seafood trio was okay. The crab cake was good, but the salmon and shrimp were a little underwhelming. The filet my husband had though was delicious and cooked perfectly and both dishes came with delicious mashed potatoes and vegetables. We also added on the Beecher's lobster mac and cheese which was delicious! We will definitely return to Palisade in the future.

Food was the most delicious food I've ever had. The Caesar salad comes in cheese wafer bowl, which adds additional flavor. The crab dip with the bread has the perfectly subtle crab flavor within the creamy dip. The Cod is absolutely fantastic. It has crunchy crab cake bit below the cod, which gives it a unique texture. Lobster ressotto is also great, and pairs with every menu item. Service was great too. Just the right amount of check-ins during a dinner. Highly recommend when celebrating a special occasion. Ambiance was great too. The view of the yacht club is spectacular, and mixed with the live music they sometimes have is to kill for. Honestly, probably the most worth-the-price-tag high cuisine restaurant in all of Seattle.

We visited Palisade today for my birthday dinner as well as to have a nice waterfront view with dinner. The ambiance and general atmosphere when entering was very visually appealing and enjoyable. We were sat quickly and greeting by Leon, who all evening provided incredible service as well as an incredibly friendly personality. He took the time to explain the menu and offerings to us as well as make personalized recommendations for us. He checked back regularly and made us feel incredibly welcome! Overall our experience was better than we could possibly ask for and made the visit even more special. Thank you Leon for your hospitality and candor, we hope to sit in your section again on our next visit.

Had a reservation here on New Year's Eve for a date and what a treat! I really loved the layout of the whole place, it made me and my partner so great, we had a view of the water and it was night time so it was very pretty. The servers were super attentive and some were bilingual which was a fun surprise, you definitely pay for your experience in this restaurant and it was worth every penny of ours. The food was excellent, I finished my plate very quickly which is surprising since I typically take my time to savor up the dish! The desserts were great too and definitely would try any of them. Would definitely come back here for another date and make such pleasant memories again.

I was looking for somewhere special to take my wife for her birthday and remembered dining here a few years ago. We actually came here when her mother was visiting and we stopped for the Mother's Day brunch. The service and food then were wonderful and we were hoping it would be the same this time. Brian was our waiter and introduced the daily specials. I opted for clam chowder and my wife had a small tossed salad. Both were delicious. For the main entrées, my wife elected to have a pasta dish and I went with the halibut. Both were done to perfection. The dining room provided amazing ambience, and the view out. The windows was incredible. I decided to have a smoked bourbon for my beverage and my wife had a Mojito. Both were outstanding as well. Presentation was first class also. For dessert, we were surprised with a slice of cake adorn with a happy birthday emblem and also opted for the crème brûlée. What a great way to cap off and an outstanding dinner

I've come here twice and the ambience and service is why I will keep coming. Our server Brian went above and beyond in helping my family celebrate my mom's 50th birthday. We got the sushi, lobster risotto, the schooner seafood tower and some other great entrees. Plus the view of the marina at sunset was just gorgeous. Would definitely recommend coming by

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and I am so glad I finally did! We ordered a few things to share and every single dish was delicious! Shrimp toast: this was a great appetizer to share! Very crispy and the sauces on the side gave it a more complex flavor! It came with a sweet mayo and chili sauce. The chili sauce is definitely spicy if you can't handle spice so beware on how much you're using if that's the case. I also really enjoyed the slaw that came with it, it was very refreshing and it had a bit of sweet mayo flavor to it, I think it's the same as the dipping sauce but I could be wrong! Fried oysters: these were delicious! I think fried oysters can be a hit or miss for me, sometimes the interior can feel too dry and feel kinda of mushy-like, like I'm eating bread rather than seafood. But this had great texture on the inside while being crispy on the outside! The sauce on the side tasted like a pepper aioli which gave the oyster a nice tang *the fried dishes were great but after having a few, it definitely felt heavy, so this would be something I share with someone else vs eating it on my own Smoked salmon belly dip: I really enjoyed this! It was creamy and had chunks of salmon in it. It wasn't too dense or thick so it was perfect for scooping onto the kettle chips. The kettle chips were lightly salted so it was the perfect combo with the dip. Clam chowder: wow I absolutely loved this! This is different than any other chowder I've had. While I love a white creamy chowder from your typical seafood places, the base being a fish stock definitely brought out the seafood flavor vs a white chowder feeling like a cream base. This chowder still felt creamy and rich without the seafood flavor being overpowered. Rockfish bowl: the crab rolls were sold out by the time we made it to the register so we opted for this instead and I am so glad that we did. I didn't really expect this to blow me away but this was such a refreshing dish that balanced out the fried dishes we got. It used viet flavors that you may typically find in a banh mi which made it refreshing and had great texture from all the different fresh ingredients and fried garlic. I also loved how the fish came in patty form mixed with pork, it was flavorful and moist. I love any type of fish tofu/patty, I think it really makes fish flavorful when it sometimes can have a really mild flavor. I'll definitely be back to try the crab rolls!

We visited the Friday after Thanksgiving and arrived around 5 PM, hoping to beat the crowds--and luckily, we did. The restaurant was still fairly calm before the evening rush arrived. We had hoped to take advantage of Chinook's Happy Hour, but learned that the Happy Hour menu is only available at the bar, not at dining tables. Since we wanted an easy, relaxed conversation, we decided to stay seated at our table instead. Our server, Marilyn A, seemed a bit frazzled, likely because she had several tables to manage at once, but she was clearly trying her best to keep up and serve everyone promptly. We started with fresh Kumamoto and Totten Inlet oysters, which were delicious--clean, briny, and very fresh. For our entrées we ordered the wild salmon burger, salmon and chips, and the classic Caesar salad. All were enjoyable and satisfying choices, especially if you're in the mood for simple, well-prepared seafood. We skipped dessert since we had just returned from Leavenworth and had fresh sugar and gingerbread cookies waiting for us at home--a sweet ending we were already looking forward to. Overall, it was a pleasant early evening seafood dinner and a nice, relaxed way to wrap up the day.

Everything is immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. If you're a bourbon lover, this place is paradise. Their collection is incredible, but what truly sets them apart is the service. The Bourbon Curators, Ms. Hannah and Mr. Tommy, along with our amazing waitress Ms. Sassy, make you feel like a VIP from start to finish. They welcome you with open arms and create a personalized bourbon journey -- teaching you about flavor profiles, history, and how to discover different palettes you never knew you had. It's not just a drink menu... it's an experience. And the food? Michelin-worthy. We shared the Autumn Chicory Salad and the homemade Autumn Mushroom Pasta -- both beautifully crafted, rich in flavor, and perfectly paired with the bourbon experience. Every bite showed off the kitchen's talent and passion. We were actually recommended this restaurant by strangers we met at the Seattle Space Needle -- and wow, did they steer us right. The Ballard's Cut surpassed every expectation. If you love bourbon, phenomenal food, and top-tier service from people who treat you like family, then this is the place. Do not miss it.

I genuinely don't know what to do with that explanation. The food took so long. I ordered my steak medium rare and it arrived overcooked. I thought this was a steakhouse and yall can't even cook a steak medium rare? One person in our party never received their salad despite asking multiple times. Their stupid steak dish is $50 entree with zero sides. I added cauliflower for an extra $17 charge and received something I could have made in five minutes. Finally, we tried to order dessert and were told they were out of the item we all wanted. This place is a ripoff with terrible service.

The Highlights The Meatballs: Legit the star of the show. So juicy, and the marinara is literal perfection. Pro tip: Keep the extra sauce for dipping your bread--you'll thank me later. The Lasagna: You can tell the pasta is made in-house. It's perfectly layered with a tasty meat sauce. Total comfort food. The Ragu: Really well done. It's got a unique earthy flavor with a hint of cinnamon or nutmeg that makes it stand out. Final Thoughts The vibe is cozy and the service is incredibly kind. Definitely will visit again.

Then I found out you have to order above the gift card value for it to work.. which defeats the purpose. Plus a 10%+ pickup fee which also is absurd. Owner tried to help but ultimately said they couldn't do anything. I ordered over $120 worth of food and got a small bag. Nothing extra for the frustrating experience that they knew about. And the portions were extremely small for each item being nearly $30 after these fees. Worst value was tiramisu which was $11 for a piece smaller than my palm. Come on guys. You can do better. We're trying to keep places alive yet getting nickel and dimed with no customer support. Wouldn't go back but wish them the best if they fix their website and review their pricing to quality.

This most recent time we noticed that the menu had been split into two and there are only a few items on the main menu, with most standout dishes being on the rotating menu. For four people, we ordered: Gyofun fries: came out cold Smash burger: good, would absolutely get again and recommend Beef short rib: doesn't come with rice which is disappointing for the cost and it being a main. Sauce flavor is punchy and delicious, acid forward! side rice: terrible. Undercooked or perhaps not washed well before cooking Kimchi: very fermented if you like that style Sesame chili crisp noodle: noodles were overcooked and became one giant blob with the sauce. We ordered a fried egg on top and that was cooked perfectly. Overall the flavor is really flat and it was mediocre at best. Tuna kinilaw: tuna didn't seem the best quality. Quality of sauce and accompanying herbs and orange was great, very fresh. If this was the only time we had been here I'd be happy to give it another go but between the other three times we've been here we've had: Salmon kinilaw: much smoother and more delicious than the tuna. The portion size was also bigger than the tuna Fish and chips: great portion crispy fried and delicious Mac salad: good Animal ramen: the noodles were so undercooked you could actually see the fire still through the noodles. The hot broth wasn't hot enough to keep cooking the noodles so it was just completely a bowl of undercooked noodles. Disappointing Wok fried rice cakes: good!! Today the food came out in a decent time but the time we got the fish and chips/ramen we waited over 30 minutes for our food and were pretty disappointed given the restaurant was not super packed. Today towards the end of our stay it was absolutely a packed house but the food was coming out in a very reasonable time and service was good. It's very confusing that it's so inconsistent across my four visits but we have decided to not give it another go because we can't tell if we're going to get a good day or a bad day. Hope this changes because the good days are SO GOOD.

The rather unassuming facade does not do the place justice. As a solo diner they were super nice and accommodating. I moved from the lounge to the dining room - they accommodated. My drink made by the uber accommodating bartender, Cameron, was switched out twice. Once because they forgot the booze, and again because it was too sweet for me. The ceviche was authentic and beautifully presented. I chatted with server Manny all about his home country and traveling. And, Sophia deserves mention for being extra nice, and even sensing that the dessert would be too sweet for me by bringing out a pre-bite, and she was correct. She kindly removed it from my check. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Give it a try!

It's a Peruvian restaurant with a very plain outside and dim lighting on the inside. The service was great, they were attentive. I unfortunately felt like the food and plating were really mediocre. We noted that the plates looked like plates you would find in a college dining hall. - Causa Acevichada: 5/5, really enjoyed the sauce. The rockfish tasted fresh! - Seco Limeno de Pollo: 3.5/5, the salsa was not as flavorful as I had hoped for. - Budin: 2/5, this was dry and small. I was really disappointed with this dessert. I enjoy that they had a menu for SRW; I would give them another try outside of SRW.
