I ordered one of these and proceeded to tell the person at the counter, Betty White Naked veggie dog with mustard and sauerkraut. I was told you can't order that. Me and my boyfriend actually came after closing time and they were kind enough to still sell us the hotdog which was a jalpeno hotdog . For the price and the taste I can' t justify it . This Pink is not a bad location, the staff were all nice. I personally prefer the original one on La Brea Ave in L.A. The Chili Cheese hot dog was barely warm the cheese never melted not even a little. The buns for the Dogs are thick. After a long day of spending money at Universal Studios, you want to find the best spot to feed your hangry, tired kids. This was the one for me. I got the cheeseburger with fries and a drink for my 11-year-old, and a plain hot dog for my 6-year-old. The cheeseburger was well-seasoned, and the fries were nice and crunchy. The condiment station is still consistently stocked with napkins, utensils and all the must from relish to mustard, ketchup and others. You can enjoy bottles, canned or refillable beverages from their Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. Dining inside is pretty easy with communal cafeteria style seating divided with a pilar. It's rarely full and even if it is you have a lot of options throughout their shared seating in the open air food court. The service is always great The veggie options take longer to prepare (with care) because they clean the grill :) You won't be disappointed whether a classic pink's goer or a veggie pink's lover. This location is between KFC/Pizza Hut and Taco Bell (ironically all three still very much owned by Yum Brands though no longer operating as Ken-Taco-Huts in the US). Open seven days a week. My go-to when I want something quick & easy. We all know how iconic Pink's Hot Dogs is. But I know I don't want to wait in a line no matter how long the wait is. That's the nice thing about this location at Universal City Walk. You can get almost if not all of their options that are available at the OG Melrose + La Brea location. For me, there's only ever one choice for my meal: Bacon Burrito Dog: 9.1 / 10 Pro-tip substitute the standard hot dogs for a spicy Polish dog for a heartier entrée. If I'm only ever going to have a simple cheat meal, this is what I splurge on. The chili & cheese within the burrito stand up to the heartiness of the sausage - which has the perfect spice level (not to spicy). Any bun would disintegrate under the amount of ingredients that come with this, so the large tortilla more than stands up to the job. Throw in some crispy, non-greasy strips of bacon, & you got exactly what you want out of any trip to Pink's Hot Dogs. Cheese Fries - 9.1 / 10 I always a appreciate a seasoned french fry. Gimme that extra flavor where I can get it in. It also gives a nice red hue to what would normally be rather basic, yellow/golden fries. Go the extra mile to add that melty nacho cheese sauce. No ketchup or any other condiment needed here. This is exactly the kinda of guilty pleasure side that I want with any main course at Pink's. Soda - Coca Cola Freestyle (Always the best option for those of us with "Choice Paralysis"). Shoutout to the super friendly crew (especially Anthony at the front taking orders) here too. I feel like that I'm always appreciated when I come here. Thank you to the management & the workers for making that extra effort to give that nice touch of hospitality. Also, I really like that they keep all of their condiments, utensils, & napkins out in the open. I understand that businesses want to save on $, but it is a rather small inconvenience to keep nagging the workers for things that I need. I never knew there was a Pink's up at Universal until I met friends for drinks. It was crazy, once everyone saw Pink's, it was hands down the choice to try - with the vibrant pink colors. Anyone who knows me knows that I love hot dogs. I always say but if I had to choose my last meal hot dogs would be a part of it. I have been craving hot dogs for a couple of days, so I thought of visit to the famous Pink's Hot Dogs was in order. We came to the location at CityWalk, which, unfortunately, is it the very end. There is very little indoor seating, and while there is plenty of outdoor seating, the outdoor heaters were not turned on and it was cold. We did manage to snag a table indoors, but it was by the door and it was cold Lol. We were lucky because there were not that many people when we got there, but as we left the line was out of the door. We ordered chili dogs with onions and I ordered a Betty White naked dog, which just means plain hot dog. We also ordered a couple orders of fries. The hot dogs are really good - - The kind that kind of crunch when you bite into the skin. The chili was really good too. The buns, however, we're not steamed or heated in any way, so they were cold and kind of hard. Didn't really love that, but it also didn't really take away from my yummy hot dog. The fries at Pink's are really good seasoned fries. It was good! I can't really say that my hot dog and fries are absolutely worth the price of about $18 when you include the drink, but I can say that I did enjoy it and it hit the spot when I was craving a hot dog. read more

They are located on the far left side of the food court upstairs. Service is quick and easy but again, very small menu so you don't really have much of a choice but to settle on something. Very basic hot dogs, not much to them. They have the usual chili dogs, chili cheese dogs, the Betty white which is a plain dog, they have one with sauerkraut, etc. I'm sure you can customize them to your liking but the one I really enjoy is the bbq/cowboy style one with onion rings and bbq sauce which they didn't have, surprisingly. After catching Fantastic Four at the AMC, my daughters and I wandered over to Pink's for a post-movie bite. I didn't have high expectations considering we're in a major tourist destination but we had time before our movie and wanted to grab a bite. People think Pink's is world famous because it's the best hot dogs in the world but I think you'll be disappointed if you approach with that expectation. The original location was an oasis for struggling actors having their first bite in a long day of auditions and hustle. Go to Pink's with this mindset and you'll have a much better experience. Got regular chili dog with onions and funnel cake with the works (powdered sugar, ice cream and strawberries in syrup). The dogs had snap, chili was tasty and the funnel cake was a lot larger than expected. Ice cream add on wasn't worth it though. Should've known that was getting too fancy. read more

Used to be special to most of us, but tastes pretty average now $7-12 for most things, which is not that bad considering it's at Universal Citywalk and is 'cheaper' than theater food. I had the Chili Dog w/ sauerkraut, passable but not as flavorful as I remembered it. It tastes kind of muted, the sauerkraut's presence overshadowed even the chili. The dog casing wasn't as crispy as I remembered. Anyways $7.49, I'll take it over the other foods available there. Pastrami Nacho Fries for $7.99 had a decent taste, mainly just cheese lol. I can taste the texture of pastrami but not the flavor. I don't know if I'm a fan of chili with pastrami on top of cheese but it definitely reminds me of drunkchies at 2am kind of food. Thought this place would be better. I ordered a hot dog with chili, cheese and mustard. It was just ok for me. Could 100% make this at home for less and it would taste better. It actually made me sick for the rest of the day and the morning the next day. Stomach pains were REAL!!!! Like, how are you gonna charge $8 for this thing???? NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!! Never heard of Pinks until Hells Kitchen Season 2 episode 5 I think. I know it is a hot dog joint but people say it's hit or miss. This place is located in the upper lot of the universal boardwalk so anyone who has been to Universal Studios Hollywood so parking is a pain There are limited inside seating but plenty of outside seats if available. There are other eateries like firewood sub, Taco Bell and Panda Express as well. Order the "El Cucy" jalapeño hot dog and pastrami nacho fries. El Cucy jalapeño hot dog is huge because it is 12 inch polish dog with mayo, onions, bacon and jalapeños. It's good and it's not spicy if you can tolerate jalapeños. The pastrami nacho fries is crispy but the bacon cheese is something. Overall it's very good and it's up to your preference. Highly recommend of giving this place a try read more

Well this is my first time trying this place. The best chili dog I've ever had in my whole life wasn't at Portillos, it wasn't home made using Costco $1.50 hot dogs (which are amazing). It was at Original Tommy's. Comparing the two, the hot dog itself wasn't that great. It's a classic hot dog place so I won't be rating presentation. My chili dog itself wasn't anything special and it only satisfied my hunger. I can't remember what the chili tasted like, but I can remember fondly what tommy burgers chili dog taste like. Pinks hot dog doesn't have the distinction. But I rate this place average instead of a lower rating, because I saw this man's glorious hot dog.
