I also heard rave reviews about pinks and how it's must try in la and a staple . Me and my boyfriend actually came after closing time and they were kind enough to still sell us the hotdog which was a jalpeno hotdog . For the price and the taste I can' t justify it . The hotdog did have a nice bit to it but it had no flavor and I couldn't finish it . The topping on it were meh . I will just stick to getting my hotdogs from Costco than going there .
After a long and tiring day inside Universal, this restaurant amidst the food court was a sigh of relief to Ian and the Mrs. Ian was indecisive between a hot dog and a cheeseburger, so he got them both. Dining area under shade is also very appreciated. Hot dog was delicious. Cheeseburger was also freshly made. This spot has our vote.
This Pink is not a bad location, the staff were all nice. I personally prefer the original one on La Brea Ave in L.A. The Chili Cheese hot dog was barely warm the cheese never melted not even a little. The buns for the Dogs are thick. We sat outside on this beautiful day, and we enjoyed the ambiance from above, looking down at CityWalk. The view made it more enjoyable as we had the Christmas tree to look at.
Stopped by before FanFest and picked up a Pastrami reuben dog. I liked it! I would order it again. Theres a lot of saurkraut which I was into. Hot dog had a nice snap to it and there was just enough mustard to give it that extea flavor without overtaking the delicious pastrami. Thank you!
After a long day of spending money at Universal Studios, you want to find the best spot to feed your hangry, tired kids. This was the one for me. I got the cheeseburger with fries and a drink for my 11-year-old, and a plain hot dog for my 6-year-old. The cheeseburger was well-seasoned, and the fries were nice and crunchy. The hot dog had such a good snap--I loved it--but unfortunately, my 6-year-old did not. Service was nothing special, not really good or bad. It was the end of the night, so I'm sure they were tired. All in all, I would come back.
We were in Universal City walk for some shopping and noticed that Pink's opened a location in the food court area. We ordered 4 hotdogs, they were all very tasty. We had the spicy polish, chili cheese dog and bacon chili cheese. all great tastings, the chili hit the spot.
Nothing beats the original spot. This Universal Studio (City walk) location tastes more like a fast-food chain, and the dogs were... underwhelming. Cute place, though.
Went to Universal for the first time in my adulthood, sat after my legs gave out, ordered the Ozzy and the onion rings. The amazing: the onion rings 10/5, well seasoned, batter was thick but light, weird but you have to try, so so good! The bad: the hot dog itself has potential, the snap is always nice, gives good bite and body, but too much sauce, too much guac, bun was buns. 1/5
Pink's Hot Dogs - Universal CityWalk knows how to keep it cool. This long-standing extension of the iconic Pink's Hot Dogs of Hollywood is located in the food court area of Universal Studio's CityWalk on the second level, accessible via escalators, stairs or elevators. Being part of the iconic original it offers a lot of the same items including Classic Hot Dogs, Super Specials, Burgers & Handhelds and Sides. My go to is the Veggie Beyond Dog and occasionally their french fries or Guacamole Fries (basically the Guacamole Nacho Fries without the nacho cheese). They've added more options to their flagship I hope to see here like their "Better Balance" Vegan Hot Dog or the comeback of a Veggie burger option. The condiment station is still consistently stocked with napkins, utensils and all the must from relish to mustard, ketchup and others. You can enjoy bottles, canned or refillable beverages from their Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. Dining inside is pretty easy with communal cafeteria style seating divided with a pilar. It's rarely full and even if it is you have a lot of options throughout their shared seating in the open air food court. The service is always great The veggie options take longer to prepare (with care) because they clean the grill :) You won't be disappointed whether a classic pink's goer or a veggie pink's lover. This location is between KFC/Pizza Hut and Taco Bell (ironically all three still very much owned by Yum Brands though no longer operating as Ken-Taco-Huts in the US). Open seven days a week. Pop into Pink's!
I ordered the Mulholland Drive special, wasn't necessarily the best option. Service is good. Prefer the experience at the Original Pinks. It's somewhat hidden, inside seating and lots of pictures. Would I come back, nope not to this location.
After catching Fantastic Four at the AMC, my daughters and I wandered over to Pink's for a post-movie bite. It was our first time trying their chili dog, and I finally faced my long-standing fear: explosive consequences. Spoiler alert no regrets! The chili dog was flavorful, not spicy, and surprisingly gentle on the digestive system. My youngest and I both had one, while my oldest went for the cheeseburger, which she gave a solid thumbs-up. We ordered three hot dogs, one cheeseburger, and three sodas--total came to $60. A bit pricey, sure, but considering CityWalk's location and LA's overhead, it's understandable. You're paying for convenience, nostalgia, and a slice of Hollywood history. Is it the best hot dog I've ever had? No. But it absolutely hit the craving, and I'd go back especially after a movie or for a quick, satisfying bite with the family. Fast service, iconic setting, and a chili dog that didn't betray me? That's a win.

If I'm only ever going to have a simple cheat meal, this is what I splurge on. The chili & cheese within the burrito stand up to the heartiness of the sausage - which has the perfect spice level (not to spicy). Any bun would disintegrate under the amount of ingredients that come with this, so the large tortilla more than stands up to the job. Throw in some crispy, non-greasy strips of bacon, & you got exactly what you want out of any trip to Pink's Hot Dogs. Cheese Fries - 9.1 / 10 I always a appreciate a seasoned french fry. Gimme that extra flavor where I can get it in. It also gives a nice red hue to what would normally be rather basic, yellow/golden fries. Go the extra mile to add that melty nacho cheese sauce. No ketchup or any other condiment needed here. This is exactly the kinda of guilty pleasure side that I want with any main course at Pink's. Soda - Coca Cola Freestyle (Always the best option for those of us with "Choice Paralysis"). Shoutout to the super friendly crew (especially Anthony at the front taking orders) here too. I feel like that I'm always appreciated when I come here. Thank you to the management & the workers for making that extra effort to give that nice touch of hospitality. Also, I really like that they keep all of their condiments, utensils, & napkins out in the open. I understand that businesses want to save on $, but it is a rather small inconvenience to keep nagging the workers for things that I need. So it is quite the brilliant move to encourage customers to "take only what you need". I will happily agree to those terms, Pinks! Thanks as always, Pink's, Universal CityWalk!
We stopped by Pink's Hot Dogs at Universal City Walk on a Friday late afternoon before heading out to Universal Studios. Excellent customer service at this Pink's Hot Dogs location considering the line is long and lots of customer waiting for their order. During this visit we ordered the Pastrami Reuben Dog and 1/3 Lb Cheeseburger. Pastrami Reuben Dog was good and plentiful. It was loaded with pastrami, mustard, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut. The 1/3 Lb Cheeseburger was also plentiful as it consisted of 1/3 lb beef, American cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup on a sesame seed bun. The burger was tender and not overcooked which was great. read more

Must have been a good day for me. I received excellent service and all the staff were smiling. They must have had a good day also. They took our order promptly and even let us make last minute changes. They said that we could have unlimited drink refills. Don't go by the menu that is listed. Look at the pics of the menus I took for more accuracy. 06/10/2026 The place was very clean and had pictures of the Original Pink's and movie stars and the place is very, well, pink. Thank you for making my burger so delicious! It was much bigger than I expected and juicy. Hubby says too much onion for him or rather strong onion flavor. We usually have hot dogs but we opted for the special. Little known secret I bet is that they even have any SPECIALS at this Universal CityWalk location. If you're ever here on a Tuesday or Wednesday take advantage of it. I've posted a picture, you might even thank me later. Lol P.S. I missed one of the menus with the desserts. "Betty White Naked Dog - $9.99" - (plain make it the way you like) Not so fast. I ordered one of these and proceeded to tell the person at the counter, Betty White Naked veggie dog with mustard and sauerkraut. I was told you can't order that. You can order the "Veggie Beyond Dog for $14.29, we'll remove the guacamole, onions and tomatoes and add sauerkraut for another $2.29, mustard is complimentary". WTF? That is absolutely ridiculous!! Anyone who knows me knows that I love hot dogs. I always say but if I had to choose my last meal hot dogs would be a part of it. I have been craving hot dogs for a couple of days, so I thought of visit to the famous Pink's Hot Dogs was in order. We came to the location at CityWalk, which, unfortunately, is it the very end. There is very little indoor seating, and while there is plenty of outdoor seating, the outdoor heaters were not turned on and it was cold. We did manage to snag a table indoors, but it was by the door and it was cold Lol. We were lucky because there were not that many people when we got there, but as we left the line was out of the door. We ordered chili dogs with onions and I ordered a Betty White naked dog, which just means plain hot dog. We also ordered a couple orders of fries. The hot dogs are really good - - The kind that kind of crunch when you bite into the skin. The chili was really good too. The buns, however, we're not steamed or heated in any way, so they were cold and kind of hard. Didn't really love that, but it also didn't really take away from my yummy hot dog. The fries at Pink's are really good seasoned fries. It was good! I can't really say that my hot dog and fries are absolutely worth the price of about $18 when you include the drink, but I can say that I did enjoy it and it hit the spot when I was craving a hot dog. read more
For the small menu they have, compared to their main location, this place is decent. The chili cheese fries are probably the best thing here but they're very, very limited with their hot dogs. They are located on the far left side of the food court upstairs. Service is quick and easy but again, very small menu so you don't really have much of a choice but to settle on something. Very basic hot dogs, not much to them. They have the usual chili dogs, chili cheese dogs, the Betty white which is a plain dog, they have one with sauerkraut, etc. I'm sure you can customize them to your liking but the one I really enjoy is the bbq/cowboy style one with onion rings and bbq sauce which they didn't have, surprisingly. Plenty of seating outside, only a few tables inside but the view outside is way better and you have the large stage screen playing for you as well. Hoping they have the full menu one day! This was not as good as the location I went to in Hollywood. The hot dog itself lacked a nice char. It felt cheap. The service was pretty smooth. I'll give them that. I don't think upper level CityWalk is an appropriate location for something like Pink's. It kind of felt cramped. So. Maybe relocated downstairs to a bigger location and improve the food quality please? read more
Pinks is amazing. I love the buns. I love the snap on the dog. The chili is good and they give you plenty of cheese and the cheese is good cheese not that fake cheese that won't melt this location is like a small to go location with minimal seating, but the same great taste as the original pinks. The service is fast and friendly and if your season pass holder at Universal Studios, they give you discount on your food. read more

Came after I nearly died walking around Universal Studios! I was oddly craving a hotdog all day after I kept seeing the Nathan's hot dogs all over the park and so, when I saw hot dogs at the food court it was meant to be. Once I saw Lance Bass in the pictures inside- it sealed the deal for me. Lol. I got a chilli cheese dog and it was the best I ever had. Fries were alright. Customer service was great! read more
3.5 Stars. It's Pinks. Used to be special to most of us, but tastes pretty average now $7-12 for most things, which is not that bad considering it's at Universal Citywalk and is 'cheaper' than theater food. I had the Chili Dog w/ sauerkraut, passable but not as flavorful as I remembered it. It tastes kind of muted, the sauerkraut's presence overshadowed even the chili. The dog casing wasn't as crispy as I remembered. Anyways $7.49, I'll take it over the other foods available there. Pastrami Nacho Fries for $7.99 had a decent taste, mainly just cheese lol. I can taste the texture of pastrami but not the flavor. I don't know if I'm a fan of chili with pastrami on top of cheese but it definitely reminds me of drunkchies at 2am kind of food. Maybe it's just their chili is underwhelming...and that it's slobbered over everything? Am I doing it wrong? Maybe just order things without the chili. read more

Uniqueness: It's Pink's Hot Dogs, everyone knows Pinks and it obviously sells hotdogs but also burgers too? Wait Time: [x][x][x][x][x] Food Quality: [x][x][x][ ][ ] Service: [x][x][x][x][ ] Setting: [x][x][x][ ][ ] Cost: [x][ ][ ][ ][ ] Recommendation? The Muholland Dog is not bad for a different tasting hot dog! Not getting too nitty gritty on this review as it's Pinks but then again, this was actually my first time ever going to a Pink's hot dog. Heard all about it for years from friends in SoCal and how of course it's just tourist hot spot nowadays so I decided to finally check it off and must say, I wasn't really disappointed but at the same time wasn't amazing. It being in Universal City means the cost of one is exorbitantly higher so that was a disappointment. The service and setting was meager with plenty of decals on the walls pointing out the celebrities who visited but to the other sites it seems. Wait time was non-existent as I went near closing time and plenty of spots to sit. Would I come back to any Pink's? Either probably not or unless I was so drunk to start craving some, then possibly. Would I recommend it to others? For tourists or first timers, yes for first time but for everyone else not much recommendation I can say for here. Worth to check off though! read more

It's a hotdog. Nothing special. All beef. Chili. Onions. Pastrami nachos are not nachos. Fries with cheese sauce. We were the first customers so really can't judge service but it's fast food so there isn't much anyway. read more

Thought this place would be better. I ordered a hot dog with chili, cheese and mustard. It was just ok for me. Could 100% make this at home for less and it would taste better. It actually made me sick for the rest of the day and the morning the next day. Stomach pains were REAL!!!! Like, how are you gonna charge $8 for this thing???? NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!! Wasted my money for sure. I'm from NYC and would rather get a dirty water dog any day of the week than this garbage. The only positive thing I'll say is that the staff is very nice. Answered my questions and I didn't feel like I was an annoyance. read more

I came here yesterday after making a random trip to citywalk after a Barbie backpack. Decided to stop by pinks for dinner! I had the pastrami fries and ooo was it delicious. A lot of times when you go to eateries and ask for anything with fries they are skimpy with the toppings! Not this time! Just the perfect amount of cheese and pastrami! The food is great and the service is awesome.. Never heard of Pinks until Hells Kitchen Season 2 episode 5 I think. I know it is a hot dog joint but people say it's hit or miss. This place is located in the upper lot of the universal boardwalk so anyone who has been to Universal Studios Hollywood so parking is a pain There are limited inside seating but plenty of outside seats if available. There are other eateries like firewood sub, Taco Bell and Panda Express as well. Order the "El Cucy" jalapeño hot dog and pastrami nacho fries. El Cucy jalapeño hot dog is huge because it is 12 inch polish dog with mayo, onions, bacon and jalapeños. It's good and it's not spicy if you can tolerate jalapeños. The pastrami nacho fries is crispy but the bacon cheese is something. Overall it's very good and it's up to your preference. Highly recommend of giving this place a try read more

Well this is my first time trying this place. The best chili dog I've ever had in my whole life wasn't at Portillos, it wasn't home made using Costco $1.50 hot dogs (which are amazing). It was at Original Tommy's. Comparing the two, the hot dog itself wasn't that great. It's a classic hot dog place so I won't be rating presentation. My chili dog itself wasn't anything special and it only satisfied my hunger. I can't remember what the chili tasted like, but I can remember fondly what tommy burgers chili dog taste like. Pinks hot dog doesn't have the distinction. But I rate this place average instead of a lower rating, because I saw this man's glorious hot dog. It seemed he had more fun with his, and I thought it was cool. read more
