I've been wanting to try this LA landmark and finally got the chance earlier today. We arrived right at noon when they opened and ordered two Chicago dogs and a hotdog for our wiener dog, plus a coke. Damn good hotdog and it looked like Edwin enjoyed his dog as well. Very cute and retro interior and seating. We were the first customers of the day but the place was filling up quickly when we left. Highly recommend!! I will be back to try some other menu items and maybe buy a shirt as a souvenir.

Really cute vintage style hot dog shop with quite a long history in West Hollywood. There's also a tiki bar upstairs. Lots of really neat vintage decor from the color choices to some of the seating areas inside and out. Staff looked busy as usual. If you have a bar reservation upstairs, you can order from there and I got a Lucky Tiki Pup. The Hot dog was a little hard to chew. It came with a pineapple ring and teriyaki sauce that was sweet but not overbearing on a toasted sweet Hawaiian bun. Limited street parking outside, not sure if there were any onsite parking spaces.

Where to begin? First and foremost I want to say that the lovely young lady at the counter was very warm and friendly. She was eager to help whenever she could. That was the best way to start this experience. Now I had the Chicago Pup which I truly enjoyed but it seemed a little less after biting into the jumbo corn dog. The batter was extremely flavorful and had a great texture. One of the best I have had and I will have again. As for their chili, it had a great flavor and with the perfectly fried spuds it was amazing. I had two issues during my visit. One was I didn't like mustard being in the chili dog and two the soda mix that was a bit off. It won't keep me from going back at all. Thank you Tail of the Pup for a great meal!

Had the wonderful pleasure of having some Tail o' the Pup while spending time at The Lucky Tiki. YUM! I had some fries (delicious), a chicago dog (not the most graceful thing to get while eating amongst friends, but super tasty), and after a few more drinks I got another order of fries but this time got them with chili cheese. Parking is a little bit of a challenge since they don't have a dedicated lot (welcome to WeHo), but I managed to find free neighborhood parking nearby and walked over in 5 minutes. Everything was so good. Highly recommend! Gluten-free options available.

Easy to order from the front kiosk in the giant hotdog. Plenty of seating, inside and out. Food was fast and hot, exactly as ordered. Loved the fries and the hotdog (I think I got the 1978?). You really should find this cute nostalgic hidden gem!!

Passed by all the time and first time here. There's no way you can miss the iconic hotdog architecture out on the sidewalk. You place your order at the front literal hot dog stand and then make your way inside for food and drink pick-up. They have seating indoors, outdoors, and upstairs. Lots of space. They have beer/wine/seltzer selections to enjoy as well. They even have a designated water bowl area for your pup to quench their thirst. We went with a little of everything to get a good feel of the offerings... Chili Pup 1946 Pup Corndog Fries Chicken poppers The chili pup was the fav overall and it's loaded. Plus their personalized hotdog holders come in clutch catching any loose ends off your pup. The 1936 pup is good too if you're a big fan of mustard and onions. Service was quick and it was a nice lunch. Will stop by for some pups if in the area again. Chicago pup I see you!

When we arrived, it was fairly empty with one couple sitting outside drinking beers. All of the tables and chairs/booths outside were really dirty and dusty so that was a bit unfortunate. The cashier was friendly and patient with us while we tried to figure out what we wanted. I brought my dogs with me because I saw they had a small doggy menu with a doggy dog (hot dog with "dog friendly" cheese). I asked him if it comes with the bun from the puppy dog from the kids menu. He told me that it did but that they were all sold out of it (we arrived around 4:30pm on Saturday). The fur babies split a dog beer (organic coconut water in a cute can) and they had their own hot dog. My roommate ordered Combo #1 (chili pup with added cheese, fries, and medium drink) while I got a chili pup with cheese, tomato, jalapeno and jalapeno spread, and an IPA. The food is quite expensive for what you get---the hot dog itself is very, very skinny and small (Wienerschnitzel has much larger dogs and a lot cheaper) while they surprisingly piled on the toppings. It took a while for our food to be ready and the food was really cold when we got it. Even though they put so much cheese on the hot dog (you can never have enough), because the hot dog was so cold, it was literally a giant pile of cold shredded cheese that didn't melt at all on top. I asked my roommate if we can split the fries (cold and soggy) but the amount they gave was so small and there was a lot of salt on it even though we asked for it to be made without salt. The meal cost almost $80 and the humans left hungry and we ended up eating an actual dinner when we got home. Needless to say, I don't see us going out of our way to go there and eat their food. That being said, it is such a cute activity to do with your dogs as a reward for being good boys. Even without the puppy shaped bun, the cardboard shaped as a dog they put the hot dogs in are cute and so is the adorable coconut water that they labeled dog beer. They really enjoyed their meal. I would go back if I was in the area with my babies so they can have a good time. So there you have it-my breakdown for the 3 star average: -Service: 4 (food took a really long time and came out cold but the cashier had great customer service) -Food: 2 (we ate it all because we were hungry and the flavor wasn't bad but cold and not worth how expensive it is given how tiny the hot dogs and fries were and fries did not come out the way they were ordered) -Ambience: 1 (really dirty, pretty empty when we went) -Dog friendly: 5 (honestly, really wanted to check out this place for the dogs and glad we did because they enjoyed it) (I haven't been to the speakeasy part that's attached to Tail 'o the Pup, but we saw people entering it and looked so cool. Will definitely be trying that place out for some tiki drinks soon!)

Candice K.

Very cute and retro hotdog stand located in the heart of WeHo. We were bar hopping in the area and stumbled upon a giant hotdog so naturally of course we had to stop in. Delicious hotdogs and even better ambiance! They have dog friendly items including dog beer!

Peggy D.

Got the combo chili dog and fries with drink. 20 dollars with a tip. Which is about fair for the area. Even though there were actually no other customers here, food was freshly made . Fries were good. Dog has some snap to it. Which I like, not everyone does. Wasn't a huge fan of the chilli. Suspect it's that giant can of chili that places get. Would try a Chicago dog next time . Service was very friendly. Nice folks. It's kind of like pinks, really. Except not crowded.

Came here after visiting the Lucky Tiki! You can order food from here but I wanted to get the kids dog (shaped like a puppy). Food was just okay, but the place had nice old diner vibes. Ordered the Chicago dog and the kids dog. Fries could have been saltier, reminded me of McDonald's fries. Good came out pretty quickly. And service was nice. Metered street parking.

Solid dog! The 76' dog was great! Simple hotdog perfection, real nice snap on the weenie, bun was soft and delicious. 46' dog was nice too! Came well prepared. The fries were to die for.. great flaky salt on them and did not feel oily or dry, great taste, soft with crunch. I would come here again. Would be a solid 5 stars, but I had to offer off a screen. Service at pick up counter was kind. Music inside was neat. Classic spot.

Order kiosk at the front lacks some people interaction but thats inside. We got chili pups w onions n mustard. Chili was ok, dogs were ok. Place was cute, indoor and outdoor seating is casual

I'm not a huge fan of hot dogs, but I came here to honor its history, as it has been around since 1946. Tale o the Pup was a big surprise and I really enjoyed myself! I got the corn dog which seemed to be made with corn meal which was a bit different but I really enjoyed. The interior and exterior seating areas are decorated so cute that you really get caught up in the time warp this place creates. Server was very friendly and helped with making selections. Great place to check out even if you're not a hot dog fan. BTW, All hot dogs and corn dogs have veggie options.

Service is excellent here and I recommend dining in for optimal dining experience. However, all my leftovers were still fire, as well. I would recommend getting all of these dishes: *~Green Curry Dumpling ($12) - This may be a sleeper hit but the green curry surrounding the steamed veggie dumplings is a nice level of spicy and just makes my mouth watering thinking about this appetizer. *~Crispy Duck Rolls ($14) - They're fresh & feel so refreshing to eat with a few pieces of roasted duck inside and their fresh Thai slaw with some hoisin sauce, all wrapped in rice paper and lettuce, of course. I'm obsessed with this appetizer, as well! *~Pad Thai Meltdown ($22) - This is the most fun spin on pad thai of all time! I'm a basic girl and goodness do I love pad thai. Well their recipe is absolutely delicious ~ but this dish has melted cheese on top, as well! It's not as weird as it sounds, it's actually amazing just making the dish taste more creamy, not really cheesy tasting. My only disappoint was they are supposed to grate & melt the cheese tableside and that didn't happen. I went on a busy lunch though so I'm assuming that's why we didn't get the tableside show! Maybe next time! *~Chef Katt's Special Fried Rice ($18) - If you're going to get a fried rice, this classic Thai one may be the one to get with sweet Thai sausage slices and bacon pieces throughout. Loved this fried rice! Honestly, this was the best Thai food I've had in ages! They are adding little spins on dishes to make them fresh and new, and most importantly - delicious! I'll be back soon!

I had a craving for Esco's pizza (a telltale sign that Esco's has now occupied my brain more than the neighboring pizzerias) so I popped in on a Sunday and found that they had slices of oxtail pizza. I immediately ordered it. They also had jerk chicken pizza and a chicken pesto pizza. After talking to the woman behind the counter, I decided to order pesto pizza, since she recommended it and it was the best decision! The chicken pesto pizza is so flavorful. Chicken pieces were cooked tender, not dry and it was fully marinated in the pesto. Great fresh tastes of basil, Parmesan cheese and the pine nuts, one slice was enough to be a satisfying meal. Buuut, I didn't in this case, because I still had the oxtail! The beef was tender with a slight crispy edge and was served generously on the slice. Jalapeno slices add just the right amount of heat. It comes with a a side of consomme where you can dip your pizza. I would definitely come back for both slices. People from Esco's are mad friendly and hospitable which is a huge pull for me. The crust is thin, the slices fold the way they should, and everything lands in the "decent" category -- nothing mind‑blowing, but nothing disappointing either. It's the kind of place you hit when you want a quick, familiar, New York-style slice, and you don't mind paying a bit extra for the convenience and size. The sauce was flavorful without being sickly sweet, while the chicken, potatoes, and carrots were also of good quality. They were also small-ish pieces, not the huge ones you sometimes get, though the portions of them was actually large. So large, in fact, that I sort of regret getting something else as well. Sort of. I also got the Crispy Wontons, which were thin but still tasty, and rather filling (you get six). But as good as they were, they and the curry was too much. It also didn't help that, along with the white rice that came with my curry, I got something they call Healthy Rice, which is (according to the menu), "wild black rice, brown rice, [and] red quinoa" (I actually thought I was getting the Healthy Rice instead of the white, but whatever.) It was okay; the white rice was much better, especially when it had some yellow curry sauce on it. And no, to answer the obvious question, I didn't eat all of the rice. Just all of the white and some of the Healthy. As for the place itself, it was clean, and the staff were very friendly. The food also came out in a decent amount of time, and was nice and hot when it did. The place is small, though. There's maybe a dozen seats outside, and fewer inside, which may explain why most of the people who came in walked out with a bag a minute later. Also, the seats outside were wooden stools, which didn't bother me, but it would've been an issue for my elderly mother, and thus other people as well. Oh, and this has become a thing with me and resteraunts lately: napkins and utensils. Thankfully, this place's napkins were the big kind, and they gave me two of them, while the utensils were real and metal, not plastic. In fact, the only bad thing about the place is that it's on La Brea, and a block below Wilshire, so parking may be an issue. They do have valet at night, but I didn't check to see how much it was. But it wasn't so bad that I won't be back. I just won't order so much.

Once we got to the cafe, it had an inviting vibe and the gentleman behind the counter was friendly, but I wasn't a fan of the Chocotino smoothie and the table we sat at was not cleaned prior to us sitting there. Green Table Cafe is located in Los Angeles specifically on Pico Blvd. and Stearns Drive. It's next to an India Spices & Groceries store and it's across the street from CVS. Parking is mainly street parking and we found a metered parking spot across the street that didn't cost too much. Once we entered the cafe, we were greeted by small red car that someone could win if you participate in their $20/ticket raffle and a welcome greeting from the gentleman behind the counter. It's definitely a cute and inviting place with a large painted sentence "Love what you do Do it with LOVE" on the wall behind the counter. There are round marble tables with blue velvet and blue plastic chairs, a skinny wooden table with a sofa, and there are covered outdoor seating. Not sure if the gentlemen behind the counter was the owner or manager, but he was customer service oriented and was friendly to every customer who entered the cafe. My review is solely based on the smoothie I ordered because that's all I experienced. If we ever visit again, I would like to try their food and desserts because the desserts and pastries looked enticing. The description of their savory food on their menu made them sound delicious, but I won't know until I try. Based on its name, the verbiage on the menu, and what I drank, it appears Green Table Cafe is for the healthy conscious consumer. Their menu consists of coffee drinks, smoothies, superfood bowls, salads, and burgers/paninis. The words gluten-free, kale, quinoa, acai, hemp milk, and mint extract hearken to someone with a vegan diet. I'm a carnivore and I like to eat whatever I enjoy, so I'm probably not their target customer. I ordered their Chocotino smoothie and I wasn't a fan from the first sip to the last. The Chocotino is made with almond milk, banana, cacao, protein powder, rolled oats, almond yogurt, dark chocolate, peppermint oil, and goji berries. It leaned heavily on a peppermint taste and when I let my daughter taste it, she said it reminded her of a York peppermint patty candy. I definitely was not a fan and I almost brought it back to exchange, but I kept hoping it would taste better. I stirred it with my straw, but it didn't change my disdain for this smoothie. My kiddos got the smoothies they craved and a place that was a cool place to hang out. I didn't enjoy my smoothie, but that's what parents do. We make sacrifices for our kids.
